fernpelt."Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Shaderock for a Clan meeting!"
The yowl split the morning just like the chilling breeze through camp, as EclipseClan's new leader stood atop the Shaderock, her tortoiseshell coat fluffed up against the wind.
The morning had dawned overcast and cold, and there had been a constant wind idling through the forest all day. Fernpelt gazed across camp as cats began to arrive, some only just waking up, some fresh back from the dawn patrol. She smiled to herself as she thought, tonight she would gain her title as leader, becoming a 'star, finally. That is, if StarClan woud have her.
Before she left for the Moonshard, however, she had a ceremony to perform. "Today is a day for celebrating change in the Clan, by granting six very deserving apprentices their warrior names, and fo- " Fernpelt stuttered, and halted a second, Brackenkit's face filling her head. She cleared her throat, and continued on. "Three kits that need to be apprenticed."

rosemarypool As soon as she opened her eyes, Rosemarypool felt the weight of the world crash down on her. Last night came pouring back to her. Her dream. Then Mavericksky's confession... She glanced at his nest, but he wasn't there. Then Fernpelt's call hit her ears. Rosemarypool got to her paws, gave her pelt a hasty groom, then left the den. She needed to find Mavericksky. She had to talk to him, to make things right. But he was nowhere to be seen. The she-cat sat down, unable to wipe away the look of anxiety on her face. She peered up at the tortoiseshell she-cat sat upon the Shaderock. Even three excitable young cats becoming apprentices couldn't lift her spirits. It just got her thinking of how Mavericksky had helped her train Firebird... citruspaw Citruspaw wasn't one to be dragged awake by Fernpelt's call. No, she was already awake. In fact, she had already been hunting, caught a squirrel and a mouse, and returned. She was now grooming herself by the fresh kill pile, not feeling hungry even though she hadn't eaten since the previous afternoon. She had taught herself to only eat when the sun was at it's highest. That way, prey was saved for those that needed it. But her physique was not affected by this. Her body was hard-packed, lean muscle, from her morningly exercise. Citruspaw ducked her head in respect as Fernpelt left the den. She glanced at her den, and prayed that she wouldn't have to go and wake Fawnpaw, Branchpaw and Pumapaw. Sometimes, her siblings had no concept of time-keeping. laurelkit Her round green eyes peered like glowing torches from the nursery. She watched as her mother mounted the Shaderock, then trotted back to her siblings. She prodded Cacaokit and Willowkit viciously with a fluffy white forepaw. "Guys, guys!" she mewed. "Wake up! Fernpelt's callin'!" The tortoiseshell kit ran from the nursery, her stubby tail held high. She looked up at the clan leader, and a thrill of sadness went through her at what she was saying. Three kits. She meant her own litter. But it should have been four kits. Brackenkit should've been here with them. Laurelkit looked at her wide forepaws, trying not to cry. Why did her brother have to go away?

glacierfrost His eyes flashed open, but the rest of his reflexes were slower as he came awake, eyes moving towards the warrior's den entrance before drifting back towards the nest beside him. He prodded Solsticesong awake, licking her ears softly before pulling himself to his large paws, shaking out his shaggy pelt and slipping his large body through the den entrance. Glacierfrost stretched his long body, letting out a grunt as a few joints popped into place. The black and white male let out a yawn, shaking his head and then going towards the center of the clearing, sitting down, shaking his fluffy pelt out once more. eternalhaunt Of course she wasn't in camp at the time that Fernpelt called the meeting, having already been awake and out of camp since moonhigh. and yet, she was wide awake. Eternalhaunt slipped through the camp entrance once again, tail flicking back and forth as she dropped her catch, slipping over to the warriors den, looking up at Fernpelt.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke [/blockquote] Raising his head sleepily, the tom blinked his amber eyes as Fernpelt's call around the camp. He pulled himself lazily out of the nest, licking down the moss-covered parts of his brown and white fur. Padding out of the den, he yawned, revealling a scratchy pink tongue and gleaming fangs. Branchpaw licked his muzzle before searching the area with his eyes. Sighting his golden sister, Branchpaw padded over to her. His neck fur was fluffed up and his eyes were wary as he sat down beside Citruspaw. He shot her a guarded glance before looking around self-conciously. He wasn't used to be surronded by the Clan. They didn't like him, and he didn't like them.
"Hey Citruspaw," the tom mewed quietly, steely eyes flickering. "Have you seen Fawnpaw or Pumapaw?" he asked, then turned his gaze towards Fernpelt.
branchpaw [/blockquote] Creekpaw we can pop bottles all night and baby you can whatever you like The chubby siamese woke up, still sleepy. He looked around vaguely for Cascaderain before realizing that she was a warrior now. He got to his paws and the pointed tom exited the den, muzzle out and ears pricked. He was still young, and it would be ahile before he joined her in the warrior's den. The cheerful tom let out a slight purr as he found a space to sit beside Glacierfrost. With a slight "Hey" he greeted the black and white warrior before turning his attention back to Fernpelt. Though he knew he wouldn't recieve his warrior name for many more moons, the siamese couldn't help but get a chill down his spine as he thought of what it would be like to stand up there. Honeyblood
A blond cat pushed his way out of the warrior's den. His limbs tight from sleep, the cold air hit him like ice needles. He stretch the sleep from his limbs slowly, and walked over to his normal spot in the back of the group. He groomed himself as he waited for more cat to join. His dark green eyes searching the cats already here to see if the cat he had been watching from afar was here, but she wasn't. He wanted to talk to her about his feelings for him soon, but Honeyblood didn't know a good time to do. The warrior had been thinking about talking to her after Fernpelt left to get her nine lifes, but then again the sooner the better. His eyes fell on the floor as he listened for the cats to approach Shaderock.

Petaldance The motherly female opened her eyes as she heard Laurelkit enter the nursery. It had been her turn to look after the kits and with a pang she realised that this would be the last time she would do so. They were going to be apprenticed. And her own children, warriors!Wiping the sad look off her face she sat up, hurridly gathering the kits. "Right you lot I want those pelts of yours to be gleaming! This is a special day and you have to look your best" she said with a smile, helping the three kittens groom themselves before heading outside. She looked around for her family, feeling a guilty twist in her stomach as she realised she had not spoken to her mate in ages. Her lilac-blue eyes looked around for Pantherstealth but being unable to see him or any of her children for that matter she sat down. Though she was excited for her children she couldnt help feeling a little sad. They had grown up so fast. Lilapaw The striped female padded into the clearing, her tail swishing silently as she walked. The slender she-cat could feel bubbles of excitement rising in her stomach. She was going to be a warrior! The beautiful female caught sight of her mother and headed over to the older she-cat, noticing the downheartened expression on Petaldance's face. "Don't worry Mum. We're still your kits really" she said quietly, touching her nose to the white and lilac-brown she-cats before turning her own violet eyes up to Fernpelt. Mottledsnow Mottledsnow padded into the clearing alone, her jaws clamped tightly around some prey. She had gone out hunting alone, as she hadn't had the guts to ask anyone to go with her, she wouldn't have been able to stand it if they had refused. Pricking her ears at Fernpelts call she deposited her prey on the pile before padding to the edge of the clearing, sitting down by herself. The pretty tortoiseshell looked around anxiously, before turning her amber gaxe back to Fernpelt, remembering with somehwat relief that she was accompanying the leader to the Moonshard and would be able to get properly out of camp for a bit. Grebepaw // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // "Okay, Mum, seriously, none of that. I'm fine," Grebepaw barked, looking over at Petaldance with a look that was the blooming image of her father being irritated. The wiry-haired femme shook herself, riling up her tortoiseshell pelt even more when she realized Petaldance wasn't even talking to her. Grebepaw felt a bit embarrassed. She coughed and headed over to her mother, flashing her a handsome half-smile. The warrioress fell alongside Lilapaw and grinned cheekily. "You look like you'd rather be here with Mum than fighting wars with me, having kits and sh--er...yeah, having kits." After cutting herself off from cursing, she glanced over her sister's prettier frame and then stared at her own ruggedness. However, she wouldn't trade her looks for the world.
The she-cat turned and looked around camp, frowning for a moment and then glancing over at her mother. "Hey, have you guys see that broad Solsticesong? I was on patrol one night when I saw her. She said she was going to look for Brackenkit but she hasn't returned yet..."

costanopaw. As the thick-pelted apprentice heard his leader call, Costanopaw padded into the nursery to find his siblings. Visibly more mature as well as mentally from his apprenticeship, Costanopaw looked very healthy. From swimming every day with Solsticesong, he had gained hard, compact muscle on his shoulders. From hunting at dusk his eyesight had gotten sharper, and all of his senses were more progressed. He felt like he had gained a better understanding of what it meant to be a Clan cat, which, he supposed, was what being an apprentice was all about. Other than his physical fitness, Costanopaw wasn't nearly as clumsy as he used to be, though he still went off on random tangents from time to time. As he slowed in front of his mother and sisters, his eyes glowed with barely contained excitement. "We're gonna be warriors!" he said, his tail wagging in excitement. He wanted to go out and speak with Solsticesong before the ceremony started, but there was no time, and he had heard Grebepaw comment on her absence as he entered the nursery. "She's dissapeared?" he asked, his voice hardened with an edge of worry for his mentor. willowkit.Willokit squealed in protest as she felt a sharp dig in her side. She opened her eyes to see her sister, Laurelkit, prodding her with a paw. "Ouch, Laurelkit, that really hurt!" she complained, sitting up and licking her side. When she heard that Fernpelt had called the Clan together though, she bounced in excitement. "This is it guys! We're gonna be apprentices!" she said, reaching down and giving her chest a quick lick. Then she padded outside, not bothering to wait for her other two siblings as she smiled up to her mother. fernpelt. As the Clan gathered beneath her, Fernpelt watched for the presence of her kits. As Willowkit sidled out of the nursery and beamed up at her, Fernpelt felt a glow warm her from the inside out. She smiled encouragingly back to her, and then looked around for Beacansong. She couldn't see her mate anywhere, and she wondered if he had gone hunting when he knew his kits were to be apprenticed. She shook the thought from her head as she thought it though; he would never miss this.
Deciding that she had waited long enough for the Clan to gather, Fernpelt stood up and cleared her throat. "Could Grebepaw, Cobaltpaw, Kinkajoupaw, Lilapaw, Costanopaw and Hickorypaw all step forward please?" she asked, looking around for the requested cats.

Grebepaw // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // Tempestuous eyes turned to Costanopaw, blinking slightly before nodding. "Yeah, I was just sayin' that," Grebepaw said, nodding more vigorously at the end of her sentence. She was about to add onto her statement when she was called up by Fernpelt. The she-cat frowned. Why was it taking so long for the calico to get her leader name? Grebepaw shrugged after a moment, thinking it really didn't matter. She was getting her warrior name!

Petaldance The older she-cat smiled as her daughter arrived, feeling more at ease already. She nodded as Lilapaw spoke, before shooting a sharp look at Grebepaw as she spoke. "I hope you weren't just about to say what i thought you were" she scolded, unable to keep the twinkle from her eyes. She purred as her son came over and then heard Fernpelts call. "Right, come on you lot, hop to it! I want to hear these new names of yours" she said, busily nudging her children forward and looking up to Fernpelt. Lilapaw The apprentice laughed at her sisters words but then looked more concerned as she mentioned Solsticesong. "I hope she's alright" she mewed, with a quick glance at Costanopaw. As Fernpelt called her name she felt a bubble of excitement rise up in her stomach as she stepped forwards to stand beside Grebepaw. She looked around worridly, wondering where Cobaltpaw, Kinkajoupaw and Hickorypaw were. [/sub]

HICKORYPAW.

Hickorypaw glided from the apprentices' den on petite paws upon hearing Fernpelt's call. A small smile formed on her delicate face; it seemed as if her visage would shatter if it were to get too large. She knew what was to come when the leader mentioned six apprentices to become warriors. She was one of those six.
She had cetainly matured, both mentally and physically. Hickorypaw had become more quiet, more reserved, to all besides Kinkajoupaw anyway. Her vocabulary had grown, causing her speech to be more rhythmic, poetic almost. She'd adopted the habit of gliding when she walked, giving her a more sweet and delicate look. And her physique-there was no doubt that she'd differed in appearance over the moons. Rather than being huge compared to those her age as she was as a kit, she'd grown into a smaller, more rational size. Perhaps even smaller than most. The she-cat had gone from a chubby kitten to a defined, slender warrioress, long graceful legs and a thin bodice in all. Yes, she had changed indeed.
Hickorypaw padded to join the other to-be-named apprentices in line, placing herself down and searching for Kinkajoupaw. She pondered over what their warrior names would be. Her eyes drifted over the others in the group, recalling growing up with them. They felt almost like family to her, seeing that Maple had simply given her up by the river. Her slate-blue gaze drifted to the leader, awaiting the ceremony.[/blockquote]

kinkajoupaw Inside the apprentices' den Kinkajoupaw sat, hastily grooming his brown tabby-marked pelt. The young tom was like his four siblings - he had grown a lot, but still was nowhere near as big as Costanopaw or Cobaltpaw. Whilst they had grown muscled, he was still just as weedy as ever. Kinkajoupaw licked his skinny chest wistfully. The youngster got to his paws as he heard Fernpelt's call, and left the den. He headed towards his mother, who was stood beside Lilapaw. The two looked very alike as they stood side by side, the only difference being Lilapaw's wholly lilac pelt. Kinkajoupaw watched as rangy Grebepaw approached, who was probably the biggest and strongest of the whole litter, and then Costanopaw. His brother's grey and white pelt was thicker, so that it hid his wiriness. Kinkajoupaw stared at his own thin fur. Being the runt of the litter still showed through. The small, thin tom hurried to join his family. "G-G-Good luck, g-guys," he mewed to his siblings, as Fernpelt called them forward. He beamed as Hickorypaw's name was called along with their's. It didn't take him long to locate the silvery pelt of his best, and only real friend in the apprentices' den/ Kinkajoupaw padded to her side and smiled. "Th-This is it, then," he said, his tail waving lightly. He gave a nervous shiver, then followed his brothers and sisters to the front of the crowd. laurelkit Laurelkit frowned at her sister. The two young she-cat's were practically identical, but for Willowkit's longer, tuftier fur, which was patched with darker, more frequent tortoiseshell splashes. Laurelkit gave Cacaokit another impatient shove. "It didn't hurt," she scoffed at her sister, padding out of the nursery with her. She watched as Petaldance's litter, along with Hickorypaw, padded forward. "C'mon, Cacaokit you hedgehog!" she mewed. "You're missin' the warrior ceremonies!" She knew her brother would want to see this. The three (or four of them, when Brackenkit had still been around) had often fantasized about being warriors. Someday. pantherstealth The lean, muscled body of Pantherstealth stepped from the warriors' den with a yawn. His wide ebony paws brushed the grass as the dark brown mottled tom headed towards where his mate and kits were stood. He grinned at his offspring (Grebepaw was the same size as him now, and Costanopaw was not far behind) and licked Petaldance over the ear. "Sorry I'm late," he apologized. As Fernpelt called his kits forward, he crouched beside Petaldance. "Knock 'em dead, guys!" The warrior smiled at Petaldance. "Seems like only yesterday that they were tiny kits," he mewed, his amber eyes brimming with memories.

Make it go away, I don't wanna see it anymore! The agony, the pain, It hurts too much!
Mahoganyflight Hearing Fernpelt's call, Mahoganyflight got up out of her nest and into the bright morning. It was cold, though, signifying that the snow was not far off. Mahoganyflight shook her pelt out and padded over to Petaldance. She sat down and chuckled as she watched Petaldance fret over her kits. Once they were called up, she leaned over to her friend and mewed, 'ou must be so proud.' Her eyes followed poor Kinkajoupaw as he still seemed scared. She purred at the sight of the six becoming warriors. *** The loneliness is pressing down on me, Feeling like nothing's the same. I feel dead to everyone, I feel unnoticed.
Lonepaw Lonepaw tumbled out of the Apprentice Den when she heard Fernpelt's call. She had tumbled out because she had caught her paw on a nest and then it tripped her. She padded over to the ceremony, muttering to herself. She sat down next to her emntor. 'Hi, Glacierfrost.' She mewed to her mentor. Then she looked forward. The litter of kits were being made warriors before her! She wanted to let out an angry yowl. It wasn't her fault that she had almost died in the great battle. It wasn't her fault that she lost one mentor and had to get another. It wasn't her fault that she couldn't hunt any longer. It wasn't her fault that she got taken by rogues. All this wasn't her fault. She was thinking about this with an angry face on, when it dawned on her. She hadn't trained enough. She wasn't ready to be a warrior.
Lonepaw thought this with a heavy heart. She hoped to be a warrior, it was a dream of hers ever since she could remember. At least I have something to look forward to. She thought to herself as an image of Wolfpaw popped up in her mind. Of course she was referring to Lostpaw, but she wanted to call him by his real name, Wolfpaw. A smile crept onto her face as she thought of the apprentice in Moonclan and what they were planning to do. She had a smile on her face during the whole ceremony, not even wishing that she was up there. SHe thouht only of Wolfpaw and their plan to find his mother. [/sup][/blockquote]

Fawnpaw Small white paws heaved the fragile she-cat out of the apprentices den. Oh, she slepted in. She shook her pelt giving herself a bit of a wake up call. Then it came to her attention that there was a clan meeting being held. She gave her chest fur a quick lick before padding over to where Branchpaw and Citruspaw were siting, they really weren't that hard for her to find. She quickly, and quietly padded over. As she was weaving her way through the clan, she heard Fernpelt call that names of the older apprentices, they were to be warriors today. They all must be thrilled, but she knew to be patient, and that her day would come eventually. She sat down quicetly next to Branchpaw and looked at her siblings. Now only Pumapaw was still gone. She soon spoke in a soft, quiet voice. "Hey you guys." Her tail curled around her bodice, and she focased her attention on Fernpelt.

fernpelt.[[Okay, I'm gonna be bad and just say that the to-be warriors say I Do without waiting for anyone else to post 'cus I know Aurrie's leaving like, tonight =O So that's why I'm doing it, if anyone asks.]]
As the six young cats stepped forward, Fernpelt smiled faintly. She remembered her own warrior ceremony, many moons ago. "I, Fernpelt, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these six apprentices. They have worked hard to train in the way of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in turn. Grebepaw, Cobaltpaw, Kinkajoupaw, Lilapaw, Costanopaw and Hickorypaw, do you promise to protect and defend EclipseClan, even at the cost of your lives?" she asked, gazing at each cat in turn. As each of them murmured "I do", Fernpelt nodded once. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I gove you your warrior names. Grebepaw, from this day forward you will be known as Grebewing. Cobaltpaw, from this day forward you will be known as Cobaltfeather. Kinkajoupaw, from this day forward you will be known as Kinkajouleap. Hickorypaw, from this day forward you will be known as Hickoryleaf. Costanopaw, from this day forward you will be known as Costanoheart. Finally, Lilapaw, from this day forward, you shall be known as Liladance. StarClan honours all your wit, skill, courage and intelligence, and we welcome you as full warriors of EclipseClan." Fernpelt finished the first ceremony and dipped her head, signalling for the rest of the Clan to begin chanting the new warriors names.

kinkajouleap The young tom looked anxiously up at Fernpelt, speaking when it was his turn. He looked at his small paws as the tortoiseshell went through all six of them, giving them their warrior names. The brown tabby's huge blue eyes glistened a little as he was renamed. Kinkajouleap. Nothing big or powerful sounding, like Kinkajoutooth or Kinkajouclaw. But he wouldn't have liked that. That wouldn't have suited him. Kinkajouleap smiled at Hickorybreeze, then his four siblings in turn. A real smile, not a false one. Then he turned around to look at his parents. "W-we're warriors!" he mewed to Hickorybreeze, butting brows with his best friend. citruspaw The yellow tabby watched the ceremony closely. By StarClan she wished that was her. But she knew her time would come. She grinned to herself. She still needed to toughen up before then. She lashed her tail in pride, looking up when Branchpaw appeared at her side. "Oh, hey. I didn't think you were awake yet." The she-cat flicked her brother's flank with a roguish grin. She shook her head to his question, only for Fawnpaw to join them moments later. "That leaves Pumapaw. He's such a lazybutt. I'll bet you he's still asleep in his nest. Slob." The ginger cat ruffled her fur, then watched as the six cats were given their warrior names. The apprentices' den would be much emptier now.

Petaldance The she-cat purred as the rest of her family joined her, only Cobaltpaw was missing now. She frowned slightly, wondering where he was but soon turned back to the others. She caught Kinkajoupaw with her tail before he went, licking her smallest son on the head. "You'll do great babe" she whispered to him, eyes warm as she watched him step forwards next to Hickorypaw. She smiled at the other apprentice, feeling great affection for the she-cat who had befriended her smallest son. She knew they would be very close one day. A lick on her ear made her head turned and she purred loudly as she saw it was her mate, touching her nose to his. "Its fine, you haven't missed anything" she said to him, huddling closer as she watched their children step forward and laughing as her mate commented. "Yeah. I miss them as babies" she said wistfully, thinking about the nursery and her time in there. But maybe.....just maybe, they would have more kits. She knew that was what she wanted but there were more important things to worry about for now.
She beamed as her children all received their warrior name, all of them seemed to suit them so well. Fernpelt had made good choices. "Grebewing, Cobaltfeather, Kinkajouleap, Hickoryleaf, Costanoheart, Liladance!" she chanted, eyes brimming with happiness for her children. Liladance The grey striped white she-cat felt her chest swell with pride as her warrior name was called. Liladance. It was perfect! She turned to her siblings and Hickoryleaf, touching her nose each of them in turn. "We're warriors guys!" she meowed happily, beofre joining her mother in chanting the other newly named warriors names, her eyes gleaming with pride. [/sub]

costanoheart. The tabby tom cat grinned widely as he was given his warrior name. Costanoheart. He loved it. He turned to his siblings and bounced around a little as he nodded at Liladance's comment. "It's so exciting!" he said, trotting up to his mother. "I'll make you proud of me, mom. I'm gonna be the best warrior ever!" he exclaimed, wagging his tail. fernpelt.Fernpelt joined in the chanting as everyone spoke the names of the new warriors. When the shouts had died down to murmurs, she flicked her tail to ask for silence. When she got it, she cleared her throat once more. "Today I call once more upon my warrior ancestors to look down on three kits who wish to grow up to become warriors of EclipseClan. Willowkit, Cacaokit, Laurelkit, please step forward." she looked at her three little kits and smiled with pride. "From this day forward, and until you earn your warrior names, you shall be known as Willowpaw, Cacaopaw and Laurelpaw. Mahoganyflight, you are ready for an apprentice. You will mentor Willowpaw. I trust that you will pass on your knowledge and respect for the warrior code to her. Tigerheart, you shall mentor Cacaopaw. I trust that you will pass on your strength and wisdom to Cacaokit. Scarletpetal, you are without an apprentice also. You shall mentor Laurelpaw. I trust you to pass on your skill and cunning to this apprentice." as Fernpelt let the three kits meet their mentors and touch noses, she paused. Then she remembered another apprentice who needed a mentor. "Sunpaw. You are without a mentor for the time being also. Your new mentor will be Honeyblood. I expect you to work hard together." she said, smiling at the pair. "One last thing. Solsticesong has disappeared, and hasn't been seen since this morning. If anyone has any news on her, speak now." she waited a second, and when nobody came forward, she went on. "As she was one of the cats accompanying me to the Moonshard tonight, I must take another cat in her place. So, as well as Beacansong and Mottledsnow, I will take Glacierfrost. We will be leaving soon, so we should get our travelling herbs soon. That is all." the lithe she-cat jumped elegantly from the Shaderock and padded across camp, skirting the edge of the crowd. willowpaw.Willowkit stumbled forward when her name was called, and she stood, blushing, with her sister and her brother, head held as high as she could manage. When her mentor was called, she squeaked and stumbled once again, smiling at herself being so nervous. She clumsily bashed noses with Mahoganyflight and backed away. "I'm gonna train really hard." she whispered, smiling again. scarletpetal.Scarletpetal was only half listening, really. She was thinking about all the cats that had gone missing lately, never to be found. And then she was thinking about the ones that had been found. Dead. Her heart ached for the secret love of Phantomlight, wishing she could have gotten to know him better than she had. He had saved her life. Why hadn't she been there to save his?
She was jerked from her thoughts as Fernpelt called her name, dubbing her mentor of Laurelpaw. She walked forward automatically, and touched noses gently with the little kit. What she would give to be that small again, only just learning the ins and outs of the warrior code. She smiled at her apprentice. "We can go explore the territory tomorrow, how does that sound?" one thing was for certain, she wasn't going to let her loss bring other cats down.

laurelpaw The tortoiseshell bounded forward, stood in between her sister and remaining brother, as they were called forward. The young kit blinked up at her mother, her leaf-coloured eyes bright. She tried not to think about Brackenkit, missing his ceremony, because she was certain that, somewhere out there, her brother was still alive. The longhaired she-cat raised her head in pride as Fernpelt called out her mentor. She turned to smile at Scarletpetal. She knew she was somehow related to the scarlet tabby, but she didn't care to work out how. The bubbly youngster trotted to the pretty warrioress. "Sure! Sounds great!" Her gutsy voice was bursting with enthusiasm. She flashed her mother and father excitable glances, her tail standing straight up. beaconsong The skinny Rex tom sat in the crowd. A vague smile was plastered over his face, but it did not fully hide the emotion in his eyes. As he watched his three kits pad forward, his heart ached for Brackenkit. His missing son should have been right here, with his siblings. The tan-coloured tom's yellow eyes flashed with pride as Laurelpaw, Cacaopaw and Willowpaw were made apprentices. He waved his snake-like tail, trying to be cheerful. "Laurelpaw, Cacaopaw, Willowpaw!" And after he called these names, he muttered under his breath. "Brackenpaw." He blinked as his mate mentioned his name. He was going to accompany her to the MoonShard, along with Mottledsnow. The tom flashed the tortoiseshell warrior a glance, then nodded up at Fernpelt.

glacierfrost His eyes hardened as he listened, silently to Fernpelt. He winced visibly as she mentioned the disappearance of his mate and her best friend. Quietly, the tuxedo tom stood up, moving towards the newly named warriors, congradulating each before moving onto Fernpelt's litter, giving a weak smile to each new apprentice before starting towards the leader. "I'm ready whenever you'd like to leave, Fernpelt" Glacierfrost meowed, voice dead as he sat down beside his leader, glancing around camp before they stopped at the camp entrance, expecting the shaggy pelt of Solsticesong to appear. He sighed, turning away, glancing down at his large paws.

[ooc]What shall we do about Grebewing? Shall we say that she ran out of camp now, or have them not notice she's gone till later or.....?
[bic]Petaldance The she-cat purred as her children all bounded back over to her, giving each of them a lick on the head, including Hickorybreeze. "Well done you lot! I know you'll all do great" she said to them all, eyes shining with happiness. She was so glad her children had all made it to warriorhood, unlike poor Fernpelt who had lost Brackenkit at only a few days old. She shook her head sadly, before edging closer to Pantherstealth, rubbing pelts with her mate. Her face lit up as she thought of an idea, looking to everyone. "How about we all go on a hunting patrol? Your first one as warriors" she purred happily, looking to them all for a response. Liladance The slender she-cat smiled as everybody milled and talked around her, blissfully happy. This was how she liked it best, all of her family together, and Hickorybreeze could be counted as family now, really. She glanced around as her mother spoke, reading their faces. "Sounds good to me. What do the rest of you think?" she asked, tail flicking gently as she spoke. Mottledsnow Mottledsnow glanced up to Fernpelt as the tabby she-cat asked her, along with Beaconsong and Glacierfrost. She nodded to the she-cat, padding over to where Littlefox had laid out the travelling herbs, nodding to the medicine cat in thanks. She ate them swiftly before returning over to the leader. "I'm ready Fernpelt" she said quietly, wondering if she would see any of the others as they travelled to the Moonshard. [/sub]

HICKORYLEAF.

Hickoryleaf. It was a beautiful name to her. Her slate blue eyes turned to Kinkajoupaw-no-Kinkajouleap. It was perfect name for him. It was more gentle, as opposed to Kinkajouscar or Kinkajouclaw. A name like that would hardly have done him justice. A shy, humble creature as him didn't fit into such a brash dub. "Indeed," she mewed quietly in reply, a small smile painted on her fragile, delicate visage. Her pretty optics sparkled, drifting over the rest of the group. Warriors, they were warriors. Freedom. She looked back to Kinkajouleap, licking a paw and drawing it over her ear. Her friend, he best friend. But then she wondered. Was there more.[/blockquote]
