she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke [/blockquote] Padding through the tunnel and into the camp was a slight patched tabby. His eyes were a light, playful green that misled all into believing he was a kind and generous soul. Branchpaw couldn't have been more opposite. Not even his siblings felt entirely comfortable with him, though Branchpaw got along with them and often acted as their protecter. The white and brown tom held a dead mouse in his jaws as he entered. Carefully, he deposited it into the freshkill pile. Licking his maw, Branchpaw wished he could eat. But the pile was dwindling and there were so many other queens and elders that needed to eat. Branchpaw sighed, licking his ruffled chest fur. His coat was short and the fur was handsomely layered, or at least that was what Branchpaw told himself. The tom then looked back up at the midday sun. It gleamed on everything, dousing the Clan camp in a bright glare. [/blockquote] branchpaw ooc|| for Ironic with Sunpaw, and open.

Sunpaw
Sandy tabby fur prickled with anticipation as Sunpaw walked around the clan camp. Her thoughts so intense on not being seen that she didn't notice Branchpaw walking in through the tunnel. The warmth of the sun was hot on her back as the tall apprentice hid behind a bush, waiting for another cat to come out through the tunnel. Not seeing a soul she leaned into a crouch. Her tail just above the ground, her weight evenly distributed throughout her body. Her paws danced anxiously across the ground, moving like a snake..... around the corner. Into camp she stalked the shadows. Her emerald eyes took in almost everything, all the colors--SMACK! Into Branchpaw as he put the fresh-kill down. Her paws slipped from under her as she landed on the ground, dust spreading around her, Oh sorry Branchpaw, I didn't see you. Her voice was a bit depressed, but had a cheery tone.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw was just about to turn and go when something hit him. The tom was sent forwards, but the brown and white tom managed to catch himself before he plummeted into the dust and make a fool of himself. Carefully brushing the dust off of his fur, Branchpaw turned to face his attacker. His neck fur was fluffed up as he took in the scene. Claws digging into the ground, he visibly relaxed when he saw it was only Sunpaw. He nodded cooly to her apology, neck fur calming down. A disdainful look on the tom's face, Branchpaw prodded her with a thin white paw. "Get up," he growled under his breath, not in the mood to be bothered. Branchpaw licked his shoulder for a moment. Then the tom turned back and was annoyed to see that the she-cat was still there. Exasperated, Branchpaw asked. "Alright, alright. What do you want, Sunpaw?"branchpaw [/blockquote]

Sunpaw
The dirt covered she-cat looked up from where she was laying on the ground. The dust had settled, but had left a filthy taste on her tongue. She began to get up when Branchpaw poked her in the shoulder, her ears flicked back. His words sounded annoyed, but Sunpaw could have cared less. Her paws stabled as she got up, balancing her weight on all fours. Her body shook roughly, making a second dust cloud. She looked up at the large tom, his green eyes hard and silent. She huffed a breath, Don't be such a mousebrain, Branchpaw. Great Starclan you're grumpy! Her words were sharp and highly irritated. She licked a white paw, running it over her head to clear the dust. Branchpaw seemd very irritated and grumpy today, wonder what's gotten under his fur... She thought quietly to herself. When he spok this time anyone with in six fox lengths could tell he was exasperated. Why do I always have to want something? Can't I just come over here for company? She said her words with saracasm and pulled a kitten face. Her emerald eyes rounded and her lower lip stuck out before she started giggling, his partially white coat dark with dust.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw attempted to glare her down, pale green eyes filled with irritation. There was a tense moment where Branchpaw felt like their wills were battling, though it probably didn't feel that way to Sunpaw. The tom let out a disgruntled sigh and shifted his paws, churning the ground below. Why was she still here? His glare obviously wasn't working. The tom let out a sigh as Sunpaw began to talk again. He was annoyed with her, it was true, but Bramchpaw also didn't have anything better to do. So he looked up at the blue sky while keeping his ears pricked towards her. She insulted him, and Branchpaw opened his mouth to retaliate when the tom noticed that she wasn't finished. He sighed and looked down at his paws, glaring at her out of the top of his eyes. When she had finished, Branchpaw wasted no time in speaking. "Huh. You're wanting to speak to me. Guess that's a first, then. You might have better luck finding conversation with someone else, since I'm a mousebrain, apparently."branchpaw [/blockquote]

Sunpaw The giggling stopped as she noticed his face and the irritation plain in his eyes. Emerald eyes matched his glare, her will pushing down on his trying to make him .... not so grumpy? Her flecked eyes narrowed as he seemed to use her words against her. Foxdung! her thoughts exclaimed, He is so infuriating. Whatever had happened today was obviously being taken out on her. The words that came from his maw were uttered with a venom, a basic "leave me alone" signal, of course Sunpaw ignored it. Do you have to be so mean all the time? Her voice was soft, but the ice was there, the shard of ice that could be cruel when it wanted to be. His twisting of her words made her feel stupid, but it also infuriated her. Besides that fact that she was talking to this tom there was no one else about to talk to. Haven't you noticed? Pretty much everyone is gone. He was treating her like her mother had, it made her angry to be talking to him. Why hadn't she been paying attention to hi- Wait.... Her auds turned to a small shrub, scrabbling from the roots, field mouse, Sunpaw thought. She crouched down again, her tail a hair above the ground, her weight centered. She crept up to the shrub, the brown mouse coming up to her. Another step. A leaf cracked under her paw. Shoot, she thought and shot after the mouse, but ended up tripping over her own paws and rolling into a tree. Mouse Dung![/blockquote]

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw noticed with satisfaction that his glaring had worked. Her giggling stopped, and the tom grinned and licked his shoulder in triumph. He faded the grin away before Sunpaw could notice and resumed his glaring. But the glaring held a comical aspect now, and Branchpaw couldn't restrain from chuckling at the indignance on Sunpaw's life. It didn't last very long, though. Instead of answering her, Branchpaw swept away. He was planning on turning back and annoying her, but he wanted to see what her reaction would be first. Did she want him to stay? Then Branchpaw whipped around, letting ice enter into his voice. His tone was smug as he spoke down to her. "I'm not mean," he told her, a snigger in his tone. "I just don't like you."Then she dropped to a crouch and leapt for the mouse. Branchpaw padded towards her as she fell and rolled into a tree. The tom couldn't keep a hint of amusement from his voice as he commented on her position. "I see the prey are mousebrained enough to come into camp now. Maybe your astute bush disguise fooled them."branchpaw [/blockquote]

Sunpaw
The she-cat laughed at his own remarks upon her comments. His words meant nothing to her nor should they. Though she knew she should apologize for the insult she threw at him, she felt sorry that he was so anti-social. I guess I could almost say the same for you. Her voice was normal, nothing too drastic this time. Through his grumpiness she knew that it was her fault, he wasn't that bad, but it was hard to forget. Because of her little attention span she ended up upside down facing a tree. She looked up even as he spoke his not-so- intresting words. For a third time that day she picked herself off the ground. The leaves and pine needles under her paws prickling and poking at her. She sniffed a little, willing herself not to be mean, but also not to start crying as she was known to do. He was laughing at her, it seemed that all cats did these days was laugh at her.
Truth was she couldn't help being mousebrained. Havingattention problems was what she had been born with, so why did everyone have to make fun of her? She laughed nervously at his joke and then turned around to find out where the mouse had gone. Truth be told, she hadn't even had her apprentice ceremony yet, no mentor, so how was she supposed to know how to creep up on a mouse. She felt down and her tail sagged ever so slightly as her back turned on him and she looked along the roots of the tree for the mouse.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw watched her in satisfaction, eyes glittering cruelly. He dug his claws into the ground, the chuckles still coursing through him as she sat there upside-down. The tom got up, stretching out his limbs slowly as he watched her from the corner of an amber eye. Yawning, he almost felt bad for her as she watched him with wide eyes. "Good. We don't like each other. Makes sense," he said curlty, still observing her. Pity panged in his heart as she got up sadly. The tom sighed and turned away, not caring about anything he did. But as he was walking away, his mind wandered to what his brother would have done. Pumapaw would have gone back and made friends with the she-cat. Pumapaw wouldn't have so anti-social in the first case. Branchpaw sighed, hating himself for what he was about to do. "Here," he mewed curtly, coming to stand beside Sunpaw. He rested his tail on her shoulders, a sign for her to keep still. Swiftly, he dropped down into a low crouch. His muscles rippled under his patched pelt as he took a few steps forward. Then he looked at her from within his crouch. "A rabbit is gonna hear you, but a mouse will feel you. So you have to be really light on your paws, okay?"branchpaw [/blockquote]

Sunpaw
Great Starclan here we go again. Cats have no idea what the body language for 'leave me alone' is. Now Sunpaw was beginning to feel sorry for herself when she heard him padding away. What ever, he go find some other tom cats to be mean to. she thought miserably. The young she-cat couldn't wait to become a full apprentice, but if all the cats were gonna feel sorry for her when she got sad or unhappy then she would rather stay a kit. Stooping low to the ground she looked under a large root the bark was a dark brown, anything could have been hiding down there. Experimentaly she stuck a forepaw under it, feeling nothing but mud, sticks and pine needles. Taking her paw out from under the tree she felt a light weight on her shoulders. The she-cat looked around the find Branchpaw's tail on her shoulders, she shrugged him off, not wanting his pity. The one word he uttered 'here' was light a wip across the face.
He crouched low to the ground, speaking to her after a few seconds. Her gaze turned cold, paying attention she sat down on the prickly ground, water seeping into her fur. Her harks centered on what he was saying and watching his movements. She didn't meet his gaze, her fur hot with anger and emmbarasment for being caught in the wrong position. She just listen patiently and answed him Okay her answer was short. Maybe she could listen to him and just not like him.

. Glacierstripe . . Just talk yourself up and tear yourself down . Ice-blue orbs glowed with annoyance at the argument of the two apprentice's her silver fur with a variety of gray stripes was curled into a ball of fur trying to stay warm in the leaf-fall weather. Her silver paws pressed under her chest for warmth that was unneeded with all the bodies that surrounded her. The bemused warrioress got to her silver paws and made her way out of the heated den, her back arched in a stretch as she watched Branchpaw show Sunpaw how to go for a mouse. A small smile played upon her lips watching the two dislike one another to helping each other out. Glacierstripe crossed the clearing like she was dancing but the muscle's under her beautiful pelt showed that she only knew the dance of battle. Her slender body wasn't as good with hunting as she was with the art of battle but her movements for the hunt were just as good if you hardly saw her go into war. She sat down swiftly and watched the moves Branchpaw showed to Sunpaw, her sparkling blue eyes were full of amusement.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw glared at Sunpaw as she sat back and gave him a few disgruntled looks. He got out of his crouch, licking down errant locks of fur. Eyes flashing angrily, he turned to look at Sunpaw. His tail lashed through the air as the breeze began to pick up a bit, offering a nice change from the glaring afternoon sun. Branchpaw flattened his ears, offended that she was choosing to be antisocial now. He churned the crumbly ground with his claws, his voice a hiss as it came out. "I'm just trying to help you. Great StarClan, you're difficult. I thought you wanted to have a conversation with me. Honestly, Sunpaw," the patched tom blinked in surprise. It was his longest little rant thus far. He sighed and looked away before realizing with embarrassment that Glacierstripe was watching them. Desperate to show the silver warrior that Branchpaw was a competent tom, he flicked Sunpaw on the shoulder once more. He signalled her to watch him, and the tom dropped to his paws. He was in a different crouch now. His belly was low against the ground as he took careful steps, his legs extremely bent. "That's a crouch for hunting birds. You need to keep your belly really low."branchpaw [/blockquote]

Sunpaw
She blinked a few times fast as he again started yelling at her. Her ears flicked back as a point of understanding. She tried bitting her tongue before blurting out, 'i guess that makes two of us'. We both have issues! Just stop being annoying, a voice called out to her through the fog in her dark mind. Just then noticing the silver warrioress as Branchpaw looked over at her, her fur prickled with hot embarresment. Sorry she muttered under her breath just low enough that Glacierstripe couldn't hear, hopefully.
He crouched lower to the ground, speaking to her after a few seconds again. His belly was low to the ground, his legs bent. She looked at his stance more closely, turning her head this way and that, thrying to understand how he got that low. It looked impossible from her point of view. Okay, but if you're that low then how are you able to leap high enough to get the bird? Won't it be harder because you're legs are strained? She asked.

. Glacierstripe . . Just talk yourself up and tear yourself down . Glacierstripe almost started laughing when both apprentice's had looked at her in great embarrassment, her ice-blue orbs sparkled with amusement as Branchpaw tried to make up for yelling at Sunpaw. The beautiful silver warrioress imitated the male apprentice's crouch, almost getting as low as him, her legs did feel strained but she lifted them a little and it felt perfect. The silver fae smiled at how intelligent Branchpaw was in the art of hunting prey, she wasn't able to go as low as him for he was smaller then she was. 'That's good, Branchpaw, just don't yell at the cat your trying to teach it too. Can you show me the hunters crouch for the mouse? I would very much like to see it instead of hear you try to explain it.' Even though the war ready fae sounded serious her features were filled with those of a joyful apprentice. Her long limbs got out of the crouch that Branchpaw had showed Sunpaw, the special ability in her eyes caught every emotion that the two gave out for each other and gave for themselves because of her presence.

she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw felt pride course through him as Sunpaw questioned his crouch. The patched tom shook his head, a knowing look in his eye. He cats one more glance at Glacierstripe, to see great amusement in her eyes. The tom sighed and rolled his eyes before turning back to Sunpaw. Dropping back into the bird crouch, he took a couple steps forward. His legs were bent to the extreme. "This gives you more momentum," the tom explained sagely. "If the bird flies away, when you unbend your knees, you'll be able to spring up even further then if you were standing straight up. Also, birds can't really feel you. They have little talons, not paws or fur like us. It's harder for them to feel vibrations. So you don't need to concentrate as much on being light," okay, so the last bit was made up. But it was close enough. Branchpaw turned towards Glacierstripe as the warrior called him. She asked him to demonstrate his mouse crouch, and the usually sulky tom was pleased that the silver warrior was taking intrest in him. He nodded curtly before dropping into a crouch. He kept his weight on his haunches. When he took a step, he transferred the weight from his stepping foot to another foot so each step was light. "See?" he asked Sunpaw, a slightly more cheerful look in his dim eyes. branchpaw [/blockquote]

. Glacierstripe . . Just talk yourself up and tear yourself down . Glacierstripe got down into a crouch again but this time she didn't follow what Branchpaw did, her body looked as if it was about to dart forward in a very quick action. The silver warrioress stepped forward on light paws keeping her body as low to the ground as possible, 'What crouch is this, Branchpaw? You seem to be very knowing in hunting, if you can tell me then I'd be impressed.' Glacierstripe didn't move from her hunters crouch for a rabbit, if the younger male didn't get it she would still be impressed with his hunting skills.

Oh. I get it now. The she-cat said as she listened and leaned forward more to catch his words. Momentum? A good thing, more speed. Oh now she got it. She watched as he moved foward more. Looking over at Glacierstripe as she imitated Branchpaw, then asked for a different crouch.
She crouched low to the ground, her legs bent as she experimentaly tried to copy his crouch. She sprang, just a little bit, not trying to go to high, even though she went high enough to hit a very low hanging branch. Well, she hadn't meant to go too high. Foxdung! She spat as her tiara collided with the branch. The air around her suddenly started to swoop her down to earth, the coolness soothing her aching muscles, not for long as the earth began rushing up to her and she landed in a crumpled heap. Why in sarclan is it always me who ends up on the ground first? She thought, her vision fading slowly, blacking out.
five seconds later:
The she-cat spat on the ground, theair rippling with tension as she forced herself to stand. Her thighs strained and brusied almost refused to be moved, but she managed to carry herself, resisting the urge to cry and flinch as the pain stabbed at her. Her emerald eyes turned to Glacierstripe as she finished asking Branchpaw about a crouch she was in. Sunpaw didn't have a clue as to what that crouch was though she could have guessed randomly that it might be for a rabbit or squirrel.

ooc|| I think he's gonna end up with Laurel, but I'll check with Shade. I have no problem with Sun and him liking each other a bit though.she says 'i hate you' with a glance slit your wrists; i hope you choke Branchpaw positively shone at Glacierstripe's praise. The tom shot a gloating glance at Sunpaw, licking his muzzle and watching her with proud hazel optics. Then he looked back at Glacierstripe, a cheerful expression on his face. It was odd, this sensation. Branchpaw felt calm, relazed and just plain curious and eager to learn more. He watched the crouch Glacierstripe was in, about to reply. He noticed the way she walked silently, and how she kept her fur from swishing as she moved. But Sunpaw distracted him as she leapt and collided with a branch. Watching her disdainfully, Branchpaw let out a sigh of relief as she got up. It wouldn't do to have the apprentice injured on his watch. Then Sunpaw peered towards him, and Branchpaw realized he had to answer the question. "You're being quiet, so you're stalking a rabbit. They hear you a few fox-lengths off," he mewed, biting back a sharp retort. Was she doubting his hunting skills? branchpaw [/blockquote]

Stupid Branch. The she-cat muttered to herself, her head a bit sore and bruised, but completely fine. Emerald optics looked up at Branchpaw as he answered Glacierstripe's question. His voice held the note of annoyance, probably because she had been asking him about the stupid crouch. She had heard his sigh of relief, but could care less at whether or not he cared at her failed leap. Okay then I guess I understand now. A bird you need more momentum, a mouse you need to be light on your paws and for a rabbit you need to be quiet? So then what about a squirrel? She asked, suddenly coming out of a thick fog in her mind. Finally she understood what he had meant. She padded a couple steps closer to Glacierstripe. Her pads landed heavily on the ground making a hollow thudding sound on the earth. She sat on a small patch of grass, the fur on her pelt hit the ground hard. She blinked her eyes, the light from the sun bright and solid.
ooc: ok, fine with me it doesn't matter I was just asking.

Her ice-blue eyes glanced towards Sunpaw as she spoke up a chuckle escaped her lips, 'I bet Branchpaw can tell you that, Sunpaw, but for now I need to go hunting.' Glacierstripe didn't even stop to invite them, silver paws carried the tabby warrioress out of the camp and into the forest. //. Ohhmigawd! this is of epic fail but I need to get Glacier out of here so I can have her with Heartsleeves and so we can end this thing for the Snowstorm

Sunpaw
Ohh, uh okay bye. The she-cat muttered as Glacierstripe disappeared from her sight. Triangular audits twitched back and forth as she listened to the steps of the silver tabby she-cat. She continued to look at the camp entrance for a few minutes before turning back to Branchpaw as he stayed silent. The she-cat sighed mentaly, waiting for this everlasting silence to end. Branchpaw? I 'm sorry for being mean, maybe I should just go now. I'll see you later maybe...... She let the words settle between them before she started for the training spot, maybe Honeyblood would have something for her to do. She took a glance back at the tom. He didn't seem to mind or anything. Her paws hit the hardened ground aswhite flkes began to fall from the gathering grey clouds. Snow.. She thought catching one on her paw, stareing at it as it slowly dissolved into her fur.
A sudden roar of thunder sent her jumping in surprise. Her fur bristled slightly as she calmed down. Her green eyes turned to look over her shoulder at the tom, Maybe we..er uhh I should go back to the apprentices den instead, looks like it may be a bad one tonight. She flicked her tail as the snow began to fall more heavily. The she-cat nearly danced to sit under a clump of bushes. Come on Branchpaw, if you stay out here you may just become crowfood. She mewed impatiently, she didn't want to be blamed for a cat's death, one that she barely knew at all. ooc: Sorry I just wanted to transition into the storm a bit.
