'Alright, you guys! Go hide!' Mahoganypaw waited until all the cats started to move. ' Petaldance, do you want to play? I can't count until I know who's playing. Can you guys tell me who is all playing please?' She looked around for someone to tell her. 'Yay, Yewchime is playing! But Brackepaw and Glacierstripe left... aww.' She ws dissapointed to see them leave, but the kits were playing so that was a good way to keep their minds off of the scary fact that their parents might never come back.

Kinkajoukit stared up at Glacierstripe, eyes dribbling tears. The tiny brown tabby kitten watched her walk away, his mouth still open as he sobbed. The little tom quivered in the grass, not wanting to move in case the same thing happened again. He felt as though his insides had been rattled painfully. Kinkajoukit shied away from Cascadekit as the sleek white kit trotted playfully up to him. The striped tom shook his head vigorously. He hated hide-and-go-seek. It was terrifying. First you were alone, hiding, then suddenly, out jumped the seeker... It made his fur rise just thinking about it! Kinkajoukit rose shakily, still snivelling, and staggered over to where Yewchime stood. He didn't want to be caught up in the scary game. He wanted Petaldance, but he couldn't see her anymore. Kinkajoukit wanted to wail but he did not, knowing the other kits would probably sneer.

ooc;; I missed that post... oops!
bic;; Mahoganypaw noticed that Yewchime was counting. 'You'll never find me!' She cried as she bolted to the leader's den. I've never been here! I wonder if Amethyststar always goes here to think... Cool, I'm in the leader's den! Wanting to shout her glee, she started to then remembered that she was supposed to be hiding. She went to the farthest corner and pulled an extra pile of moss over herself. Yewchime'll never find me!

Silentsong
I'm falling in love You tempting dove I'm needing your heart I'm falling apart Out of the warriors' den stepped a tortoiseshell tom. He'd chosen to stay back with his friend, Rosemarypool, who'd recently been injured by a Tribe cat. Oh, how he despised the Tribe. He smiled warmly as a group of kits rushed by, playing hide-and-seek. Never before had Silentsong been so nice, but lately his cold heart was melting. Something, after meeting Rosemarypool, had triggered what was buried deep inside, pushed farther and farther back by the memory of his kithood. His quietness didn't help him either. Some cats had thought of him as hostile, especially when he'd been following Corbynfeather for some time as an apprentice. The day of his warrior ceremony had changed everything. That was the day he took a new outlook on life, and warriorhood. That was the day that a cat had actually talked to him, besides his mentor. That was the day he felt truly happy, for the first time since he was a kit. That was the day that he made a friend, and that made all the difference. Silentsong had been quite worried ever since Rosemarypool's injury. He checked on her constantly, like a worried queen and her kits. He tried his best not to show his true feelings, the real reason why he was so anxious, but sometimes it was almost obvious. The tom felt a bit embarrassed, but made an effort to pretend he didn't notice the other cats' gossip and remarks. When the tortoiseshell didn't spot his friend in the main clearing, he began to casually, subtly search, acting as if he were just stretching his legs.[/blockquote]

"Twelve!"
Yewchime lifted up her gentle eyes, but Kinkajoukit caught her attention. "Hey big guy. Do you want to be my helper? There's no way I can find all these clever kits." The queen smiled gently at the little tomkit before sniffing the ground to find scent trails on everyone. She found everyone quickly by smell but decided to feign ignorance.
"I don't know where anyone is," Yewchime mock-complained. "Those EclipseClan kits sure are clever." The ginger fae 'pouted' and looked around. "Where could they be? How about the elder's den?" She sniffed around in the elder's den but found nothing. "Nope...not there!"

__Kinkajoukit is adorable. x3
Cascadekit shrugged, smiling. "Okay then! Will you play next time? I'd like that because I want everyone to play and have fun and all that. I -" her narrative was cut off when she heard 'twelve'. The white kitten sqealed, running about in circles for a few more seconds before darting into a wild rose bush. Unfortunately for her, just about everyone in camp could see her snow-colored tail peeking out from between two branches. She also gave away her hiding spot by her ridiculous giggling.[/blockquote]

Kinkajoukit stared up at Yewchime with wide blue eyes, and gave a tiny nod. The brown tabby tom padded after her, perking up a little. He could smell the other kits' scents on the grass and the sand. It made him proud that he had such skills already. The tom blinked as a grain of sand flew past his ear, from the leaders' den. Kinkaoukit padded cautiously to the entrance, pawsteps tentative. The kit hung around outside, not sure about going in. It made him nervous. "I th-think there could be some in h-h-here," he mewed to Yewchime, voice small.
Rosemarypool padded from the medicine den, green eyes shaded with worry. The she-cat stretched her long limbs, shaking out her fluffy brush of a tail. The warrior's body still bore the scars from her recent fight, but they did not seem to pain her as much when she moved. Rosemarypool watched the kits dart into their hiding places, with Yewchime sniffing along after them and Kinkajoukit tottering behind her. The longhaired dark brown tabby she-cat lifted her head, expression clearing somewhat. She glanced up at the sky, which was pale blue and swimming with dove-coloured clouds. The day felt positive, but perhaps it was just lulling her into a false sense of security. Rosemarypool felt worry for her brothers prick her pelt. They were battling the Tribe right now, as she stood, ears twitching, anxiety flooding her. The warrior looked up and spotted Silentsong. She smiled and approached her new friend. "Hi." She touched her nose to his side, to show him she was grateful for him visiting her whilst she had been injured.

Petaldances head snapped down as she hurtled back to earth. She had been miles away, thinking, and had missed out on the game. Automatically she looked around for Kinkajoukit, always worrying about him, but as she saw him happily tottering about with Yewchime she relaxed. It was not good for her to worry about him so much. She sat in a sunny spot in the clearing, trying not to think about the battle and what could have happened by now. She smiled warmly at Yewchime and her son, so that he knew where she was. The white and lilac-brown femme watched the game silently, wondering who would be caught first.
Lilakit scrambled frantically away as the game began, not noticing Kinkajoukit wailing on the grass as she hurtled into the nursery, past Maplekit and slamming into her sleeping siblings. "Shut up!" she hissed as the three grumbled about her waking them up. "I'm trying to hide! Don't tell them I'm here!" she said, burrowing down beside her brothers, Costanokit and Cobaltkit, while peeping over Grebekits back to look outside. "I hope they dont find me" she said quietly, her chin resting on her only sister.[/blockquote][/sub]

Silentsong
I'm falling in love You tempting dove I'm needing your heart I'm falling apart It was slow-motion, like a dream. Out from the medicine cat's den stepped the beautiful brown tabby he felt so close to. "Hello, Rosemarypool," he replied warmly. His heart skipped and his blushed beneath his fur as she gently touched his flank. Silentsong's hazel eyes swept over her body, surveying her scars. "How are the honorable war wounds doing today?" The words honorable war wounds were emitted a bit jokingly from his deep, rhythmic tone. Nonetheless, he was truly inquiring upon how she felt. He remembered when she returned that day, blood matting her graceful long fur. His heart lurched, and he'd been teased a bit by meddling apprentices for constantly checking the medicine den. Silentsong had simply barked at them to shoo and butt out of his business. His gruff, commanding voice would keep them at bay for a while, but the effect would only hold out for so long. But that day was over. She was recovering quite well, but he knew that that didn't mean there would be no pain. His white tail-tip rested comfortingly on her shoulder. They were friends right now, but he longed for more.[/blockquote]

Yewchime followed Kinkajoukit diligently and meowed a thanks. "Well lookie here!" she grinned, sniffing inside Amethyststar's den. The ginger she-cat entered the den cautiously and spotted the wriggling pile of moss. She tried not to laugh out loud but snuck up next to it and pounced. "Who's there!?" the queen cackled. "Kinkajoukit and I caught you!"
Grebekit grunted a curse under her breath. "What the StarClan are you doing, Lilakit?" the fae demanded as she indignantly sat up after being told to shut up. The she-cat frowned grumpily as she dumped Lilakit off of her flank. The mottled fae poked her sister in the ear.

'No! Go away! I am not any cat. I am certainly NOT Mahoganypaw! I am talking bedding! Rawr!' She jumped out of the heap and landed on top of Yewchime. 'Hehe! The bedding monster is gonna get you!' She mewed playfully as she fell off. Then she took off for the middle of camp. 'Home free! Ha!' Mahoganypaw cried. 'I told you that you'd never get me!' She ran around in circles celebrating her victory. Bedding was still attached to her fur, so she stopped and bent her head to clean it off. 'That's better.'

.maplekit 'Wonderful decision on my part' A small, thin silver tabby's crania cocked into an uncomfortable angle as the small tom stuffed his muzzle through the bramble's, trying to get a good look at Kinkajoukit (whom he guessed was giving away all the kit's) and Yewchime. His tail flicked with pleasure, gray pelt shivering with glee, as he realized the Queen had checked the elder's den first. The tom had debated that only a minute earlier, elder's den or nursery. He chose the nursery, and now as he stood squeezing in a corner peering out silently, he almost regretted it. Until, of course, Yewchime peeked into the elder's den first.
"Lilakit!" he half yelped, half hissed as the she kit tore past him, unsure if she saw where he was hiding. He was convinced she would be found before him, hiding with the argumentative Grebekit after all, and he was unsure if she'd give away his place. He hated give-awayers. It finally dawned with his hiss-yelp that he probably just gave himself away, and his deep green occs narrowed in anger. "I always do some--" 'thing wrong' he finished silently, after realizing he has given himself away more, his tail tucking under him in anger.
The five and a half moon tom decided to tuck himself further into the enclosure's of the nursery, attempting to hide his seeping scent.

"Grebekit! 'Cmon over heeeere!" Cascadekit's 'whisper' was more of a yell as she shuffled herself over to make room for Lilakit's sister. Not that she even knew if Grebekit would want to, but Cascadekit wanted to be friends with her... heck, she wanted to be friends with everybody! As she moved about she giggled hystarically, shaking the poor bush about. Her little white head peeked out between two of the branches, blue eyes on Grebekit and smiling happily. [/blockquote]

Kinkajoukit hung back as Yewchime pounced on the hidden cat. The little brown tabby's eyes widened as the bedding pulsated and reared. The kitten gave a wail of fear and turned tail, running out of the leader's den. He huddled beneath Petaldance, his entire body quivering. "M-M-Mummy, the b-bedding monster c-coming to g-g-get me!" he exclaimed, burying his nose in his paws.
Rosemarypool twitched her shoulders as Silentsong spoke of her wounds. They had been deep, but in time her fur would grow back to cover them. She glanced at her flanks, where the hair had once been much longer. The warrior then turned back to her friend, green eyes thoughtful. "They're okay," she mewed. It was true. They didn't hurt her anymore, at least, not unless she moved too fast or suddenly. Rosemarypool smiled at Kinkajoukit's sudden flight across the clearing. The dark brown tabby she-cat felt another surge of worry for Stonesky, Cloudsteps and Brokensoul. She prayed to StarClan that they would return unharmed.

Silentsong
I'm falling in love You tempting dove I'm needing your heart I'm falling apart The young warrior nodded acceptingly. He was glad that the scars no longer pained her. "That's good," he murmured. His hazel eyes drifted in line with hers, only to meet a troubled expression. The sorrow that erupted from her caused his optics to cloud with worry. "My friend, what is wrong?" His inquiry held sympathy within its tone. Silentsong closed his eyes for but a moment, and the most likely possibility hit him. "Is it your siblings?" he mewed. He sighed. "At least you have someone to really feel close to. All of my family was killed in a horrible fox attack when I was a kit...and it was all my fault." The tom hated to pull back that memory. It all happened so fast. His loud mouth, followed by a growl, a bark, a screech, and many screams. Then his father, brave, strong, worried, killed as well. And it was all because he, Silentsong hadn't been able to keep his mouth shut. He hadn't much spoken again until he became a warrior. Twelve whole moons.[/blockquote]

Rosemarypool knew that the subject of family hurt Silentsong, but she couldn't help bristling at the words. At least you have someone... The warrior stared at him for a moment, her leaf-green eyes struggling to contain their anger. She had been far more sensitive seen the attack. "Sorry, Silentsong, but it's not all about you," she mewed. Her voice was not angry, just cold. She desperately needed to see her brothers, and the tortoiseshell tom wasn't helping. "I'm going hunting," she mewed, voice blustery. The dark brown tabby and white she-cat turned to leave the camp, tail high but face falling.

Silentsong
I'm falling in love You tempting dove I'm needing your heart I'm falling apart Silentsong's eye flashed with hurt at his friend's cold tone. She was all he had, and he felt like he blew it. "No, wait, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that, I mean, Rosemarypool, I-" But she was already gone. His heart lurched as she padded out of camp. The tom didn't dare join her; he knew she probably didn't want him to. She needed time alone. Still, he was disheartened at the utmost. His eyes on his paws, the EclipseClanner slowly made his way back to the warriors' den and curled up miserably with a sorrowful sigh. He hadn't meant to hurt her in anyway. He truly envied her, he did. He wished he had family left, if only a mother,or just a sibling. Just something, someone, was all he needed.[/blockquote]

Petaldance nearly jumped out of her fur as her tiny son crashed into her. Her eyes widened as he saw his terrified tear streaked face but when she heard what he had said she could barely stop a smile from creeping onto her lips. "The what i coming to get you?" she spluttered, standing up. She licked her son gently between the ears and wrapped her tail around his tiny form comfortingly. "Lets go see this 'monster'" she said quietly, walking with Kinkajoukit over to the leaders den. The femme stopped suddenly as Mahoganypaw streaked past her and Kinkajoukit with bedding still attached to her pelt. "Look, Kinkajoukit, it was only Mahoganypaw hiding in Amethyststars bedding. She won't hurt you" she said gently to her immensely shy son. Petaldance looked into the leaders den and smiled at Yewchime. "Why dont we go with Yewchime and help her find the others?" she said brightly, stretching her legs out behind her.
Lilakit fluffed up her kitten fur indignantly as her sister pokeed her in the ear. "SSSSSH Grebekit you will give away where i am hiding!" she cried anxiously before slapping her tail over her mouth, scared her noise had given her away. She buried deeper down beside Costanokit and Cobaltkit, amazed that they hadnt awoken yet. Her lilac eyes peeped over the back of Costanokit, his fluffy pelt tickling her nose so she had to wrinkle it to stop herself from sneezing. [/blockquote]

Kinkajoukit quivered against his mother's side. "The b-b-bedding monster!" The tiny tom sobbed harder as amusement flashed in Petaldance's eyes. He hated being laughed at. It made him feel stupid. The brown tabby gave a wail of horror as his mother carried him across the clearing. "No, no!" he yowled, pawing desperately at Petaldance's chest fur. He felt sick from all his shrieking but fear overcame it. Kinkajoukit pressed himself against the grass as he was released. Tears were hot and streaming down his face. Even after his mother spoke he didn't lift his head for several moments. The thin tabby kitten sniffed, his nose quivering. He shook his head vigorously at Petaldance's idea, his blue eyes wide and glistening.

Petaldances normally warm and contented eyes turned pained as she looked at her son. Why had she cursed him with this stupid shyness, the stuttering. She had stuttered slightly as a kit, she knew what it was like, although she had never been anywhere near as bad as her son was. She leaned over him protectively and drew him close to her, licking the tears gently off his face. "Its okay baby, we dont have to do anything you dont want to" she said gently in his tiny ear as she looked deeply into his tear filled eyes. "What do you want to do? We can do anything you like" she said, straightening up slightly and waiting for Kinkajoukit to reply. [/blockquote]

Feeling bad, Mahoganypaw went over to Kinkajoukit. She didn't notice the bedding still on her fur. 'Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I was just playing. It's me, Mahoganypaw.' She mewed kindly to the scared tomkit. She bent down to his height. 'Wanna tell the 'bedding monster' off? Come on, you know you wanna attack me!' She mewed playfully. She sat with her back to Kinkajoukit, waiting for him to attack her.

Kinkajoukit flattened himself against his mother's side, trembling. He pressed his damp face against her muzzle and she bent, and allowed her to wipe away his tears. The small brown tabby kitten looked at his paws. He didn't know what he wanted. He wished he could fit in, but he just wasn't like everyone else. The tom blinked fearfully as Mahoganypaw padded towards him. He was scared she would mock him. Kinkajoukit hesitated at her words. He didn't want to hurt her. The kit reached out a little brown paw and poked her muzzle lightly. He then recoiled, bristling, in case he had hurt her.

Yewchime jumped at Kinkajoukit's wail, and the ginger queen blinked, staring and trying to figure out what was going on. She tried not to laugh for the tomkit's sake as she padded over to Mahoganypaw. "You go slay the big, scary monster! I've got kits to flush out!" The queen grinned and turned away, running to the nursery. "Come out, come out wherever you are!" She saw Grebekit grumping around and knew a kit was nearby. The large she-cat charged through and tackled the nearest kit with a loud meow of "Gotcha!"
