lunarpaw Her eyes were on the moon as the cold, but gentle breeze brushed through her calico pelt. It felt like moons since she could last see the sky, last see the moon she and Sola had always talked about during the night. She smiled softly as she recalled a conversation between the two of them, the very last one before Shattereddream had taken her to MoonClan....
"Do you really think we could go there, sometime, Luna? It's awfully far away." Sola mewed as she wrapped her white and black body around her sister, mute green eyes moving from the night sky to Luna, who's far away look came back at her. "I donno, but I want to see. And I'll take you with me. We'll go see what we can find on the moon. We could explore it's valleys, and we'll find those moon-cats Shattereddream's always talking about" Luna replied, pressing her muzzle to her sister's shoulder and smiling softly, the blood on her side had finally dired, giving her a chance to clean it out. "Yeah....Moon-cats. I wanna meet them...we could share advice, maybe they know how to get us out of here?" She replied, chuckling before letting out a small yawn and laying her head down.....
Lunarpaw winced as she felt a tear-drop fall from her eye onto her paw. She lifted it up, drawing it over her face before letting out a sigh and looking to the sky again. "I'll find them for you, Sola. I swear to StarClan, I will" She murmured softly.

kraitpawHe had been watching her for quite a while. Not in the stalkerish way but simply as a matter of speaking. He'd been sitting there just observing the way she moved. Now she was crying! Kraitpaw's jaw dropped. The gentlemanly figure stepped out of the shadows. "Good lady, why do you weep?" he asked, his voice husky. The mostly black tom seemed almost invisible on the backdrop of night. He wondered if she could see him. His little white spot on his throat might give him away.
He sat down by her side, dipping his head to her and draping her tail across his large paws. The tom paused and leaned forward to wipe away the stain of crying away.

lunarpaw She jumped, her head snapping up as she heard the voice behind her. Turning her eyes, she watched as a white speck came towards her. It took her a moment to recognize Kraitpaw. Relaxing slightly, Lunarpaw wiped her face with her paw, then turned to face the other apprentice. "I was thinking about something my sister and I used to talk about" She murmured softly, tail curling around her paws as she looked back to the moon. "She always thought other cats lived on the moon. So at night, while we cleaned each others wounds, we would talk about the cats that lived on the moon" Lunarpaw mewed, chuckling softly.

kraitpaw "I heard that those who come from the moon are exceptionally beautiful...as well as those named after it," he murmured softly. His ochre eyes swiveled over to Lunarpaw for a moment before looking ahead. He stood up gracefully, walking forward as his broom-like tail swung side to side.
"Like these hills..." His voice was so gentle, almost tangible. It was as if his paws were stroking your face. He smiled and turned to her. "...and you." The moonlight dappled across his jetblack hair as the apprentice began to traipse through the high grass.

lunarpaw She jumped at his comment, eyes widening as he stood up and walked towards, his broom-like tail brushing her muzzle. She reared back, staring at the tom as he complimented her. She wasn't used to others saying that type of thing about her. She was use to abuse, harsh words, and anything else you could think of that was unkind.
"What...?" Lunarpaw asked, shock in her eyes as she stared at Kraitpaw. "You must need your eyes checked. I'm far from beautiful" She murmured, shaking her head and remaining where she sat.

kraitpawHe laughed heartily and shook his head. "My eyes are perfect, my dear," the apprentice replied gently. He sat down and looked up to the moon, wondering about the legends surrounding the moon. He knew that those with the mark of the moon were said to have raised senses. The white tuft on his chest sort of resembled a crescent moon but he never thought he could hear better or see better than anyone of his Clanmates.
He figured he'd broach the uncomfortable subject. "Lunarpaw, there is something I'm going to ask you. If you become uncomfortable, merely tell me and I will never ask you again," he said sagely. Yellow eyes piercing through the dark, he asked, "Who gave you those scars?"

lunarpaw Lunarpaw merely shook her head at his comment, letting out a sigh before her eyes returned to the moon. She felt as though Sola was there, watching her. She smiled at the thought before her mind was jarred, his question stirring something inside her. "My father" She growled, spitting at the cold ground before unsheathing her claws and digging them into the snow. "That cat didn't deserve that mate he had, the kits he conceived" She hissed, narrowing her eyes darkly.

kraitpawHe gave some thought to her words.
"Even if he is an ***hole, he did do one thing right, I suppose. He made you...and your sister, who I'm sure is as nice as you are," he said soothingly. Kraitpaw made his way through the trails back down to Lunarpaw and touched his nose to her gently, snow painting his legs.
He smiled encouragingly. "Wherever he is, he isn't in MoonClan, right? He can't hurt you without coming through us first. Wovenknot's gonna be leader soon and she definitely won't let anyone hurt her apprentice, let alone anyone else in the Clan."

lunarpaw The she-cat cringe, turning her face away from the tom. She didn't like this type of physical touching. Only one cat had allowed to get near her, and she was dead. She winced at the word, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. "Yes...she was one of the most caring and loving cats I ever knew. Sola took more beatings then I could take." Lunarpaw whispered, trying to keep her emotions in tact. It was hard, but still, she succeeded. She nodded at his next comment, thankful for that. "I am thankful for that. But I feel bad for that cats that have to suffer through my father's torture." She said, shaking her head slightly.

kraitpawHe sensed her agitation and backed off, shrugging slightly and turning away. "Don't stay out for long. It's gonna get cold tonight," Kraitpaw murmured. The mostly-black tom galloped through the snow on graceful toes, making sure not to tumble and wind up buried. He shook himself and paused before he headed for the deer path that led to camp. He wondered how long it would be before the elderly Firestar would die.
