[[Ceremony for Silverleaf's litter, and for unmentored apprentices. Post if you need a ceremony for your cat while I'm at it!]] fernpelt. The day was young. A cooling breeze caressed Fernstar's fluffy winter-grown pelt as she made her way back to camp from a solo hunting trip. She had sent patrols out, of course, but she had felt like going out on her own today. It was the sort of day where the sky was blue, and the sun was hanging in the sky, beating down, but there was still enough of a chill in the air for a cat's breath to come out in clouds in front of them.
Carrying back a cobalt crow and two voles in her jaw's hold, she deposited her contribution to the fresh-kill pile, then looked around. The camp seemed busy; she decided that this would be a good time to perform the ceremony that she had been planning.
Leaping up to Shaderock in a single bound, Fernstar opened her mouth wide, pearly fangs glinting, and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below Shaderock for a Clan meeting!"

rainkit A small charcoal coloured tabby kitten poked her head out of the bramble-fringed nursery at Fernstar's call. The young cat eyed the leader with admiriration gleaming in the deoths of her dark sapphire eyes. Rainkit knew that today was the day she and her siblings were going to become apprentices. A spark of excitement lit in the pit of her stomach, but she managed to quash it before it showed in her eyes. She shouldn't be happy, her mother was sick. Rainkit shook her small frame vigorously. Honestly. She knew better than to think like that. She was a sensible cat, she knew that Silverleaf would get better under Littlefox's care, and she would want Rainkit, Frostkit and Whitekit to be apprentices! Having convinced herself, Rainkit stepped from the nursery, managing to hide her excitement other than a slight twitching of the tail. citruspaw A square-shouldered shape pushed it's way from the apprentices' den. It was Citruspaw. Her body had grown more wiry and lean since she had passed the nine moon mark. Her ginger coat rippled over hard muscle - which she was extremely proud of. Citruspaw blinked her golden eyes at Rainkit, then sighed. "Great, new residents," she groaned, flicking her tail over her siblings' flanks to wake them up. Without her, she was pretty sure they'd miss everything.

pandakit -- !He was still a bit too young for his apprentice ceremony but he still liked watching them anyway. He stretched out his limbs and padded over to Rainkit. With a cheery smile, the Maine Coon waved his paw at the bigger she-cat. "G-good luck," he stuttered, swallowing a nervous lump and looking up at Rainkit shyly. The brown tom plopped onto his butt, sitting down to look at the other kittens becoming apprentices. "I...I hope your mommy g-g-gets better soon." He smiled gently.m y s a n i t y ONTHEFUNERALPYRE -- ! oblivionpelt He yawned grouchily from his place on his side, blinking groggily and staring up. He had been sunning himself, an event that had inevitably turned into a nap, and now he had been woken up for this? Oblivionpelt sighed heavily, pulling himself up and shaking his white and black fur. "Good grief," he mumbled, clearing the sand out of his eyes and heading toward Shaderock. The walk wasn't far; his favorite sunning rock was right next to the exit of the camp. Grebewing // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // The great Grebewing was sprawled out all over her bed, laying on her back and exposing herself as if she had nothing better to do. In all honesty, she sorta didn't. Fernstar hadn't given her an apprentice, and Grebewing was still taking it easy after her training with Galbraith. She yawned widely and half-rolled over, groaning and tumbling out of bed. She cursed as she stepped on her own tail, mumbling a few choice words before hobbling out to the Shaderock for Fernstar's meeting. "Whatgoinon?" she mumbled to Citruspaw.
ooc;// On the other hand, Grebe and Obby are open to apprentices :3

cloakedswipe
The cheerful black tom yawned lazily, pulling himself out of his den. he had had his first good sleep in the past while, and he felt totally energized. There was enough prey in the pile. His moss was considerably dry, when you thought about the previous weeks. His fur was realitely clean and his eyes no longer drooped or caused him to flinch away from the sun. He didn't complain or object when Fernstar called a ceremony. The black warrior just sat there at the back of the crowd, his golden oculars shining. He looked around briefly, before setting his sights on a cat he knew. Padding towards Oblivionpelt, he flicked Citruspaw gently with his tail. "Cheer up," he told her goodnaturedly, before settling himself beside Oblivionpelt. "Hey."[/blockquote] branchpaw
Branchpaw blinked once, twice- three times- before getting up. The mottled rown and white patched tom was incredibly lazy, and he didn't feel like socializing with anyone, though he did need a mentor. Sighing and grooming himself, Branchpaw went to go sit beside Citruspaw. She wasn't his favourite cat in the world, but anything was better than being forced to sit beside Laurelpaw. Anything. So he sighed and settled himself into the snow. "..." he didn't say anything to his sister, though his muzzle was open. He cast her afew glances, but mostly kept his amber-green eyes fixed on the ground in front of him, with occasional looks up to check to see if Fernstar would give him his mentor yet.[/blockquote] creekpaw
Creekpaw was excited for the ceremony. He would finally recieve a real mentor. Before, the siamese had been passed around from warrior to warrior. Now he could finally perfect his techniques and show them off for Cascaderain! The tom was cheerful today, though just recently he had been more silent and morose. Though his face was still slightly chubby, the weight was falling off. But the moody attitude that had replaced his naivety was gone. He was still rather innocent, but now he could balance it. It had taken Willowpaw's bubbly attitude to make him see that everything wasn't just grim. Besides, Cascaderain would be forced to come to the ceremony. They would have to talk, and she always made him bubbly.
OOC well Fernie, someone needs to change their header XDD It's Fern'star' Also, Branchpaw and Creekpaw never got mentors at the last ceremony =/

cascaderain.Cascaderain's jaws opened in a wide, lolling yawn as she exited the warrior's den. Through half-open blue eyes she searched for her Creekpaw... she smiled sleepily at the way she added her to his name. He wasn't her's at all, but she knew that they were best friends. And she had a tendancy to stretch the truth, thus making him her Creekpaw. It all came down to one thing: as far as she could tell, she was actually in love with him. It made her heart flutter to think about him. And she missed him dearly when he wasn't around... a real, more alert smile crept onto her face. "I'm in love with Creekpaw, I think," she meowed quietly, not sure if anyone was close enough to hear. [/blockquote] maplepool. Maplepool anxiously wrapped her tail around her belly, excitement brimming within her paired with a sickening amount of dread. This was Fernstar's first ceremony since she got back from the MoonShard... since Avenstail had joined the Clan. He would be allowed to stay... wouldn't he? She kneaded her paws on the ground, a nervous habit of hers. If he wasn't... If he wasn't... she would go back with him. She couldn't be without him, especially not now. She would tell him after she knew what was happening with them, whether he would be able to stay in EclipseClan. She stil found it crazy that he'd wanted to come with her, actually. No matter how many times she told him that she'd stay in MoonClan, that he had no family to be with in EclipseClan like he did in MoonClan, he had still insisted.
He deserved to live in the Clan which he choosed. And her selfish heart wouldn't be able to take it if he had to leave.

rainkit The black tabby she-cat bit her lip, trying to control the cocktail of emotions inside of her. She turned, her ears pricking, as a soft, nervous voice sounded nearby. Her sapphire eyes met the gaze of Pandakit, one of the younger kits in the nursery. She returned his smile as he wished her luck, the thought of conversation distracting her from her worries. "Thankyou," she replied appreciatively. She looked at each warrior as they assembled. She wondered briefly which one would be her mentor. Eventually her eyes settled on the medicine den and she sighed. Rainkit looked back at Pandakit as he spoke again. Her eyes softened a little. She was grateful that he had bothered to come over and be nice to her. Not many kits were like that. She said nothing, just smiled her sweet, genuine smile at him. citruspaw The golden tabby she-cat blinked as Grebewing stumbled towards her. Her eyes flashed. She greatly admired Grebewing - in fact, the tortoiseshell was like a role model to her. Citruspaw flicked her tail towards Fernstar. "'Prentice ceremonies," she replied. The apprentice blinked at Cloakedswipe. "Okay then, good sir," she mewed, flashing her sharp-toothed grin at him. The sturdy she-cat turned to look at Branchpaw as he sat beside her, wearing his usual sullen look. A look that could bring anyone's spirits down. "Good sleep?" she grunted in his direction. puzzleheart Puzzleheart yawned widely as he woke up to Fernstar's call. He was pleased to find Brackenfire curled up beside him, and briefly rested his chin on her silver-striped back. It felt good that he didn't have to hide his affection anymore. The big tom got up, shaking himself and blinking his eerie amber-yellow eyes. He then heard a familiarly vague voice behind him. Puzzleheart turned to look at the snow-coloured form of his ditzy sister Cascaderain. He smiled at her murmured musings. "I worked that out moons ago," he teased her lightly. He then nudged Brackenfire. "Come on, ceremony time." avenstail Avenstail was awake before Fernstar called out for her clan to gather. The lean silver tabby was curled in his nest just outside of the camp, his chin rested on his slender forepaws. He exhaled deeply as thoughts raced across his mind like caged birds that had just been given freedom. The former MoonClanner shivered. It felt so odd to be clanless like this. He needed to belong. Today was judgement day. And what would he do if Fernstar turned him away? He couldn't go back to MoonClan and face his father's scorn, and the fact that he would never see his mate again. He'd become a loner, and still see her. Nothing would keep him away from Maplepool. Avenstail got to his paws, thrust his way into camp and, ignoring the stares, padded to Maplepool's side. He pressed his silver-striped against her brown tabby side, breathing in her scent. It gave him strength.

[ooc]All my girlies can mentor ^^ (Petaldance, Liladance && Mottledsnow).
[bic]Petaldance The brown and white female padded quietly out of the warriors den, looking around for any of her family. She soon spotted Grebewing and, with Liladance behind her, she headed over to her daughter. Nodding and smiling at everyone she focused her gaze on the kits and felt a pang inside her. Petaldance really missed having kits. She adored being a mother, it had been the most enjoyable period of her life. She smirked as the thought suddenly hit her. She was broody. Liladance Pricking her ears to the leader's call, Liladance rose to her paws, stretching, before following her mother out of the warriors den. The slender striped she-cat glided across the clearing, coming to a halt beside Grebewing. "Hey" she said to her sister with a smile, before turning her gaze to Fernstar. Mottledsnow The glossy tortoiseshell slunk into camp, prey in her jaws. She was one of the only cats who actually enjoyed hunting in the snow. But it was starting to melt now. With a sigh she deposited her prey on to the fresh-kill pile, before sitting down alone. Still she had not made friends within her Clan and Yewchime always seemed busy now. She hated to admit it, but she was lonely. She missed Pecanshell dreadfully and just wished she had someone else to call a friend. [/sub]

fernstar.Fernstar watched, her emerald eyes sparkling in the wintery sunlight as her Clan gathered beneath her. When it looked like a good amount for her to start the ceremony with, and the jostling and fidgeting had quietened, she cleared her throat, and her voice rang clear across the camp. "We are gathered today to appoint some apprentices with mentors, and to welcome some kits into the fold of apprenticeship. The three apprentices without a mentor, I believe, are Creekpaw, Branchpaw and Citruspaw. Creekpaw, your new mentor shall be Puppetflame. Branchpaw, yours will be Puzzleheart. And Citruspaw, you shall train with Oblivionpelt. I hope you all benefit from your new mentors and continue learning as though you never paused." Fernstar nodded at each of the cats as she said their names, and then went on to the new apprentices. "Rainkit, Whitekit and Frostkit. Please step forward." the tortoiseshell she-cat paused while the kits did so, then continued, "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these three kits. They are ready to become apprentices, and to learn the ways of the warrior code so they can become strong warriors of EclipseClan. Rainkit, from this day forward and until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Rainpaw. Cloakedswipe, you are ready for an apprentice. Please pass your intelect and cunning on to Rainpaw. Whitekit, from this day forward and until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Whitepaw. You shall be mentored by Hickoryleaf, and I hope that you will learn to hunt and fight well with your new mentor's skills to learn from. Lastly, Frostkit, from this day forward and until you earn your warrior name, you shall be known as Frostpaw. You will be mentored by Mottledsnow, and I hope she will pass her knowledge of different lands and hunting techniques with you." she said, a smile playing on her lips as she gave the kits their apprentice names. This was a part of leadership that she loved - seeing kits progress to apprentices, then eventually to warriors. Before she finished the ceremony, Fernstar cleared her throat once more. "Also, I have one last thing to announce. I know that Avenstail has been waiting for my decision as to whether he may stay in EclipseClan or not, and I have decided that as long as he wants to, he has a home here. I am sure that if you have not already, you will make him feel at home with us here." she said, nodding her head to Avenstail.

[ooc]Lol, I did that with Cleary for ages and had to keep changing it lol.
[bic]Mottledsnow The multi-coloured she-cat looked up from her solitary position in shock, her amber eyes wide. She was to be a mentor? The first genuine smile to be seen in days appeared on her lips. Finally, something to do! She padded forwards to Frostpaw, touching noses with her new apprentice. "I will do my very best for you. When would you like to start training?" she asked the excited cat in front of her, the smile remaining unremoved from her lips. [/sub]

pandakit -- !He blushed hotly and sank back into his heavy ruff of fur. The Maine Coon kitten smiled shyly and meowed a gentle "You're welcome." He also began to cheer on her name when Cloakedswipe was named her mentor. Pandakit giggled and stood up a bit too fast, toppling over his own paws and crumpling to the ground in his excitement. He shook himself and blinked, standing up and stretching to hide his embarrassment.m y s a n i t y ONTHEFUNERALPYRE -- ! oblivionpelt He grunted at his brother, giving him a look that demanded to know why he was woken up for this. The white and black warrior groaned and looked up at Cloakedswipe. "You go have fun with your apprentice. I'm going back to sleep," Oblivionpelt said dryly. He sat up and shook his hair. He smiled winningly over at Citruspaw. "Good luck, kiddo." The ruggedly handsome tom walked off, nodding to his niece Grebewing before making his way back over to his sunning rock. Grebewing // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // Grebewing rolled her eyes. "This again?" She shook her head when she wasn't given an apprentice, something she didn't really mind. The tortie turned around, about to go see what her father was up to when she saw Branchpaw. The assassin's stormy eyes twinkled as she passed him, winking a bit. "Put a smile on that face someday." The massive she-cat walked off to the warriors' den to find Pantherstealth.

citruspaw Citruspaw grinned as she was assigned a new mentor. Great! That meant she could double her training schedule, and have a warrior help her. The golden tabby rose to her paws with a blink and a shake and padded towards Oblivionpelt. She returned his winning smile, wanting desperately to get along with him. She couldn't afford to mess up her training, if she wanted to be a legendary warrior like Grebewing. Citryspaw had never really spoken to this tom before, but he didn't look too weedy. He'd do. "Kiddo?" she snorted, flicking her tail. Her yellow eyes gleamed. "I'll show you kiddo." The apprentice bared her teeth at her mentor in a mock snarl. Citruspaw chuckled at Grebewing's words to her brother. "Good luck with this miserable thing," she mewed to Puzzleheart, flicking her brother's flank affectionately. puzzleheart Puzzleheart blinked in pleasent surprise as he was called forward as a mentor. A few waves of uncertainty rose inside of him - he was still a fairly young warrior, and he didn't want to let Branchpaw down. They faded quickly, though, and the thickly-furred tom paused only to lick Brackenfire's shoulder before he got to his paws. Puzzleheart trotted over to where Branchpaw was sat with his sister Citruspaw, and Grebewing, Oblivionpelt and Cloakedclaw. The grey, white and black tabby tom nodded respectfully at the three older warriors, then turned to face his apprentice. He smiled his serene smile at Citruspaw's scornful words. "I'm sure I won't need luck," he mewed, nodding encouragingly at Branchpaw. The tom looked dejected. He touched noses with his new apprentice, eerie eyes aglow. rainpaw Rainkit shot Pandakit another happy glance before she was called forward. Though she didn't much like her siblings, she stuck close to them as they padded forward. The black tabby's sapphire eyes were swimming with nerves, but she pushed it away and cleared her gaze. This was a big day. She didn't want to make a fool of herself. The young she-cat blinked, a smile crossing her face as she recieved her apprentice name, Rainpaw. The ashen tabby she-cat trotted towards her mentor at an ordinary speed, not wanting to seem too eager, or too nervous. Rainpaw had to stretch onto the tips of her paws to touch noses with Cloakedswipe. "Hello," she mewed, her voice shy but not timid. avenstail The silver tabby's heart thudded like a loud drum as Fernstar went through the apprentices' names. He barely listened. Thoughts raced through his brain. Fernstar wouldn't accept him, would she? MoonClan and EclipseClan had been enemies since the beginning. Surely nobody here would accept him? He'd been pretty much ignored up until now. What would they say if he was accepted, if that was at all likely...? Avenstail's heart popped up into his mouth as Fernstar turned her attentions onto him and Maplepool. He couldn't help breathing more rapidly. And then her judgement came. And... He could stay. He was a member of EclipseClan, a warrior of EclipseClan. And best of all, he could be with Maplepool forever. Aventail curled his body around the smaller brown tabby's, a purr choking out all words. He wanted to cry with happiness, which was not at all like him. He pulled his head free and managed to choke out a word in Fernstar's direction.
"Thankyou."

Brackenfire The she-cat slept soundly, her dreams were mostly about food. She couldn't wait until the snow melted and prey began to show up. Suddenly she was awoken to someone moving away from her, like someone took her blanket away. She knew her mate had moved. 'Mate' sounded good even though it was only in her head. The warrior acted like she was still asleep and didn't hear Cascaderain telling her brother she was in love. Finally she got up after Puzzleheart nudged her to get up for the ceremony. The she-cat stood up and stretched before following Puzzleheart out of the den.
The she-cat sat down next to Puzzleheart and listened to Fernstar assigning apprentices to mentors and she felt a pang of jealousy when Puzzleheart was called forward for an apprentice, but then again she was also happy for him. He deserved one. She smiled at him as he left her.
Silverleaf The sick queen sat right outside the medicine cat den as her kits were given their new apprentice names. She was happy for them and knew they would become great warriors someday. Maybe even deputy. She started coughing again and knew that she wouldn't last much longer. Her sickness was only getting worse and her body was withering away to nothing. She called out her childrens names with the rest of the Clan but they only came out in mere whispers.

brackenkit. He stumbled into camp, looking half-dead and completely dazed. His ribcage showed, his eyes were glossy. And he was hardly regonizable. But they recognized him.
He was Brackenkit, lost son of the leader. And he only knew it because of the older tom - medicine cat apprentice, he'd said, whatever that meant - who'd told him of Fernstar and EclipseClan. And he had known that he belonged there. But he'd been lost in a snowstorm, and then a cat... a she-cat, she'd found him. She'd recognized him and buried him in her long black fur and he'd been oddlycomforted, and he'd fallen asleep. When he woke up, the she-cat had been... he didn't like to think it. The skinny tom's vision became clearer now that he was in a place with less snow and he was not surprised to have countless eyes on him.
"Solst.. S-s... Solstice... Sol..." he stammered, trying to force the she-cat's name through his trembling jaw. [/blockquote] maplepool. Maplepool felt lightheaded when Avenstail was alowed into EclipseClan. It was the opposite of his father's story, and this time they wouldn't have to run away. She layed her head on her chest, taking deep breaths. She couldn't stop smiling. "A family, Avenstail," she breathed, pressing against her mate, purring quietly. "We're going to be... a family..." she was well aware that she still hadn't told him about the kits she was carrying. But that could wait. That could wait and wait and wait, she decided, because for now she just wanted to bask in the good news that he got to stay. One thing at a time. Spread out the happiness, right?
Her basking was inturrupted, however, as an apprentice-aged tom appeared at the camp entrance. She looked past Avenstail and furrowed her brow in confusion at the tom skinny and weak enough to be a kit. [/blockquote]

laurelpaw Laurelpaw was yawning as she poked her head from between the ferns of the apprentices' den. Her long tortoiseshell and white fur was sticking up in all directions. She watched as Rainpaw, Frostpaw and Whitepaw were given their names, and smiled sleepily. Laurelpaw smirked when she spotted Citruspaw teasing Branchpaw. Good. The miserable tom needed to lighten up, seriously. The she-cat settled into grooming her coat. Maybe she'd go to the CloudClan border again today. Maybe she'd see... Him. The tom whose name she didn't know, the tom who made her heart flutter every time he crossed her mind. She purred to herself, and as she inhaled, breathed in a scent that was oddly familiar. It had been buried somewhere deep in her mind, but it was there. She glanced up quickly, and her mouth fell open. "Brackenkit!" she hollered, launching herself at her lost brother. She danced around him a giggly, drunken circle. "I'm so glad you're back! You're back!" beaconsong The skinny Rex tom had been sat near the front of the crowd, watching the three kits become apprentices, when two things happened at once. A horribly, heart-wrenchingly familiar scent drifted towards him - and he heard Laurelpaw scream out the name that had played on his mind for the last seven or so moons. The Rex looked up, frowning, and his bulging yellow eyes grew wide. There he was. Brackenkit. A young tom that looked exactly like him. His son. Beaconsong rose as if in a dream and ran to the tom. His face was splitting apart with a smile. He then noticed the look on his son's face. Would Brackenkit even remember his time here...? "Brackenkit," he mewed, his voice breathless with joy. "Welcome home. This is your sister, Laurelpaw. And I... I'm your father."

prophecyteller "Silverleaf, come back inside, hon. Your still very weak." His voice came from inside the den, drifting out with the body that belonged to it following. Prophecyteller's tall figure emerged from the medicine den as Fernstar announced the new apprentices, tail swishing back and forth as he touched the sick she-cat on the shoulder, then moved out into the crowd. His ears pricked, be picked up the faint voice of a weak body. Pinpointing it, he trotted forwards, then spotted him. Brackenkit. He cursed under his breath before racing forwards and skidding to a halt beside Beaconsong. "Brackenkit! Thank StarClan. Your weak, let's get you checked over" The medicine cat apprentice mewed softly, glancing towards the kit's father.

. Rendkit . . Fire your guns it's time to run, blow me away . A black and white shape exited the nursery with an arrogant grace to his step though he wasn't that bad, his hazel eyes glowed with the bored trouble that was always on his face now. He was bored with the nursery and everyone in it, though he had seen a few pretty she-cats. Rendkit strutted passed whoever was in his way to see what was going on, his brows arched up as he saw the pelt of the long lost Brakenkit. Rolling his eyes the black and white male turned and stalked back to the nursery and sat with that mischievous look in his eyes. He felt like getting in trouble so he didn't have to think about anything, he was always good at getting out anyways. 'I guess that's fair,' His voice was deepening as he grew closer to apprentice age but it still held how intelligently mischievous his mind worked.

cloakedswipe & galekit Cloakedswipe looked up from where he had been sitting. He was going to be a mentor! The tom couldn't remember the last time that he'd mentored a cat. It had certaintly been awhile ago. The tom padded over to Rainpaw, a slight smile on his face. "Hey there, youngster. You look pretty feisty," he told her cheerfully, despite the fact that she seemed a bit quiet. Quiet but not shy. Which probably meant that she was intelligent. That was good. He could do with some intelligence.
Galekit watched as Cloakedswipe and Rainpaw touched noses. She wanted to be an apprentice, and she wanted it now. A pout grazed her features as she saw how happy they looked. Then Rendkit nearly ran straight into her as he walked back in a huff. She usually didn't have time for Rendkit. Well, she didn't let him know that he was actually kinda cool. He was always getting into trouble and getting out of it. "Rendkit!" she whined, pouting once more. "Don't bump into me!" she tried to make her bubbly voice sound disdainful. [/blockquote] branchpaw & creekpaw Puzzleheart, huh? Branchpaw snorted slightly. He didn't even know who that cat was, but at least he didn't sound like a pansy. Just like your average tom. Branchpaw sighed and shouldered hay towards Puzzleheart, though not before bumping into Creekpaw. "Watch it," he snarled, not caring what Creekpaw thought of him. The lean siamese didn't say anything, just pushed past him. Branchpaw gave him a glare before padding over towards Puzzleheart. He touched noses with his mentor, but he didn't bother to say anything.
Creekpaw gave Branchpaw a disgruntled glance and looked around for his own mentor. Puppetflame, wasn't that that big ginger one? Creekpaw eventually located him in the crowd, but not before his eyes fell on a different cat. It was Casacaderain, as beautiful as ever. Creekpaw smiled and called over to her. "Hey!" his voice was warm, more like his old self. creekpaw twisted his ear in embarressment, hoping that she would look up. Sighing, he turned to go looked for Puppetflame. The massive ginger had to be somewhere around here. [/blockquote]

. Rendkit . . Fire your guns it's time to run, blow me away . Rendkit turned his head toward the sound of Galekit's bubbly voice, he was old enough to hear that she carried disdain in her voice as well as a whine. He found her with a pout on her pretty amber face, a smile spread across his face but for once it wasn't of amusement. 'Well now, I'm sorry, Galekit, let me bump into someone else for you.' The black and white male got to his paws and hurriedly walked into the crowd again. Rendkit headed for the first cat he saw which was the unfortunate pelt of Branchpaw, the troublesome kit walked right by but shouldered passed the apprentice then did a U-turn back toward Galekit. His smile still on his face, the black and white males hazel eyes glistened as he sat back down. 'Happy now, princess? Should I do a back-flip for you while I'm at it?' Rendkit smiled at the amber tabby, though he knew he would do a back-flip any day for this pretty tabby. //. ohh gawd! I'm sorreh if I power played, Brindleh!

branchpaw & galekit Galekit snorted, placing her front paws together in front of her and looking haughtily in the air. "You better," she sniffed. Galekit tried to sound bored, but inside, her heart was beating ever-so-slightly faster. The destructive Rendkit was thought to be annoying by some of the quiet she-cats, but Galekit admired the way he pushed through everything and bolstered his way through. She let a secret smile come onto her face as he turned away to go bump into someone else.
Branchpaw didn't see it coming. Sure, he was larger than the kit, but the kit had surprised him, and displaced him. "Watch it!" he snarled, obviously in a follow mood. The tom unsheathed his claws and gave Rendkit an angry glare before turning back to his mentor Puzzleheart. That mouse-brain better not reprimand him for 'scaring' Rendkit. Branchpaw snorted.
"That was awesome!" giggled Galekit happily. "That Branchpaw can be such a mousebrain sometimes, honestly. He never wants to have any fun!" then the she-cat remembered she was trying to look mature and immediately sobered her expression. "That's enough for now," she said with an exaggerated sigh and then looked away in what she hoped was a regal manner. She wasn't about to let Rendkit know that he had made her day. [/blockquote]

fernstar. As she poised to jump agilely from Shaderock, the wind blew in ehr direction, and suddenly Fernstar's head was spinning. Whatever it was, whatever had conjured up the scent that sent the pang of hurt through her heart, she cursed it. Shaking her head, she made her leap from the rock, padding slowly through the middle of the crowd. Then, she heard it. Laurelpaw, the loudest of her kits, shouted the name the leader had chanted over and over in her sleep. And suddenly, she saw him. And no-one else mattered. Flying towards him, Fernstar only had eyes for her lost kit, bombarding through the crowd, trying to see through the tears that were suddenly clouding her vision, spilling over and dampening her whiskers. Finally, after what seemed like an age, she reached him. "Oh... Thank StarClan, Brackenkit!" she choked out, suddenly aware that her legs were shaking and her breath was coming out in short, noisy gasps. After standing for a second, just staring at her kit, trying to look at him enough for the moons she missed, she jumped towards him, her hackles raised, glaring defensively around so that the others got the message. She began gently licking Brackenkit's head between sobs. "I missed you. So. Much." she said, gasping after each word as though it hurt to get it out. willowpaw.Willowpaw had been sitting with Laurelpaw, not really concentrating on the ceremony, as the commotion began. She heard Laurelpaw shout, and was about to complain for her hurting her ear, but then she processed what she had shouted. Brackenkit. Her brother. Was back? She trotted over with her head craned, staring at the kit that looked like a double of his father, who was now standing with him also. "Oh, Brackenkit! You're back! I'm so glad!" she said, wagging her tail excitedly.

. Rendkit . . Fire your guns it's time to run, blow me away . Rendkit looked back to where Branchpaw was and acted like he wasn't scared of the apprentice, but inside of his head his brain was in over-drive panic. So he wouldn't show his terror of the older male the young male laughed and turned back to Galekit, he was a little turned on by her happiness and wanted to make her more pleased with him. The black and white male was about to do something else when the amber tabby told him to stop, his hazel eyes glinted with confusion as he cocked his head to the side. 'You sure you don't want to see anymore?' Rendkit stood a little awkwardly as he stared into her pretty cyan blue eyes. He knew this she-cat could get anything she wanted looking like that.

galekit
The she-cat stood there haughtily, thoughts racing through her mind. He must like me! she thought giddily. After all, he had bumped into Branchpaw just for her. No kit in their right mind messed with Branchpaw because of his grumpiness. Galekit hid her mewl of happiness when she noticed that he was still standing there awkwardly. "Fine," she grinned challengingly. He was still eager to show off for her! She noticed that he tried to look bigger than he actually was. She lowered her voice to a whisper. "Go bump into..." her bright cyan eyes searched the clearing. "Avenstail, that new cat from MoonClan!" she decided, taunting Rendkit slightly. "Are you brave enough?" she asked him snootily, pretending to think that he was too scared to do it.[/blockquote]

puppetflameThe big ginger tabby heard his name, he was becoming a mentor. Creekpaw? The tom scanned the crowd for the siamese and saw him spotting the white she-cat Cascadarain. Wasn't she one of Moonmist's and Razortomb's? He shrugged slightly and made his way over to his new apprentice, shouldering past all of the cats. He grinned as he reached the much smaller cat - well, everyone was smaller than him. He had to leaned over to touch noses with his new apprentice. "It seems like you got eyes for Cascaderain over there, aye?" Puppetflame inferred with a sort of gleam in his amber eyes. "Tell ya one thing, she sure can hold a conversation." He turned to give a quick scan for his mate, Mahoganyflight. He didn't spot the pretty femme so he turned back to Creekpaw, smiling genuinely. As if he meant it to be almost fake - Oh no, he just tended to smile a bit too big sometimes. ooc. Puppetflame's smile = Creepster 8][/blockquote]

. Rendkit . . Fire your guns it's time to run, blow me away . Rendkit smiled at the amber she-kit as she changed her mind, it was more then likely that she was impressed with his trouble-making ways. The black and white male huffed up his chest and stood tall, 'Scared my tail! I can do anything!' Rendkit stalked forward toward the new clan member. His conscious telling him to just turn around and don't bother anyone anymore, but of course he never listened to it. His hazel eyes glistened with his intelligent plans as his white paws took him toward the warrior, his brain was in over-drive now. Rendkit finally reached the male, he was nuzzled up against his mate, the kit passed by in what looked like a rush, his burly shoulder hitting into the larger males leg. The tom-kit turned back to Avenstail with a wicked grin on his face, 'I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.' Before Avenstail or even Maplepool could yell at him he pranced back over to Galekit. His mind yelling at him to go back and truly apologies but he just sat grinning at the pretty amber she-cat. 'Brave enough for you, princess?' Rendkit's mocking voice held his interest in her, in hints of course. //. again sorreh if I power-played =\

brackenkit. If there ever was a time in his life that Brackenkit had felt uneasy, it was now. Dozens of cats crowded around him, and they all knew his name, they all knew who he was and why he was here and... A vaugly familiar she-cat began to dance around him, a more respectable tom introduced himself as his... father. He'd never thought of his father; maybe that was because he'd only really known Quetzal and Zephyr, so his attention went to what his mother would be like. He nodded, blue eyes wide. He saw the medicine cat's apprentice, and seeing his face helped him remember the name: Prophecyteller. He was about to go with him --
And then, without so much of an introduction, a she-cat came barelling up to him. The others cleared a path for her, and she began licking him on the head and sobbing and choking out words and then sobbing some more. "I... missed you, t-to." he murmured, keeping his head down and voice low. [/blockquote] cascaderain. She smiled at her brother, but took his words the wrong way. What? So she was the only one not to know? This made her irritated, an emotion that rarely befell the ditzy Cascaderain. "Oh yeah? Well, I do love him! Even if I dinnit know!" she yelled after him. She did love Creekpaw, and her indignation was meaningless, because Puzzleheart had never suggested anything different. But she had the mentality that he was either saying one of two things: one, he was telling her she was stupid. And she knew he wouldn't do that. Two, he was telling her that she should have known this earlier. Well, she had. And she would make sure he knew that.
Ignoring the commotion at the front of camp, ignoring Puppetflame (who was rather scary looking, actually) she padded up to Creekpaw with a determined look on her face. She shot one more look back at Puzzleheart to make sure he was listening. Then, as loudly as she could, she announced: "I love you, Creekpaw! I always have! You're nice and funny and sweet and I love you!" she smiled, smug and content. [/blockquote]

creekpaw
Creekpaw touched noses with the giant ginger tom, glad to finally have a mentor at least- even if Puppetflame did unnerve him. The siamese kept quiet, looking down as Puppetflame commented on his relationship with Cascaderain. He licked his muzzle, wishing that he had the courage to go up to her and just tell her how he felt. Yet he was younger than she was, and the she-cat was so pretty- she had probably caught the eye of one of the older warriors, and Creekpaw didn't stand a chance. Nevermind that he had lost weight or was one step closer to becoming a warrior. He sighed and looked away from Puppetflame, completely floored when Cascaderain flounced up to him.
I love you.
His mind whirled. Did she have to say it so loud so everyone could hear it? Why did she looke so triumphant? Did she mean it? Was it real, or just a trick? Cascaderain would never trick him, the tom was sure. But the enormity of her statement made him wonder. So the tom sat back, eyes wide, and said the only words his trembling muzzle could form. "Is... Is this a joke?"[/blockquote]

iorahue. "Does this look like a joke to you?"
A snarl erupted from behind Creekpaw as the soaking-wet Iorahue walked in from her patrol, a dead body slung over her frame. From her remembering, Glacierstripe should be right behind her with Limeblossom. The massive she-cat trudged past Creekpaw with the lumbering gait of a reindeer carrying a load. Her steps put little puddles in the muddy ground, muscles rippling with the effort of carrying the massive Toweringheart.
With a roar, Iorahue bucked and sent the corpse to the ground, standing over it with narrowed eyes. Light green eyes shot toward Fernstar. "Sorry t'break ya moment but you've got two dead warriors on ya paws." Her broom-like tail swayed side to side, breaking off the mini-icicles that had started to form.
ooc;// You know how I simply love breaking happy moments. If you don't want me to bring Iora in, I can delete this.

fernstar.Fernstar quit licking Brackenkit's head for a heartbeat, while she stared at him again, eyes glistening with tears and happiness. Then, she took in his expression, and his hesitant words, and stopped short. "Brackenkit... you don't remember me, do you?" she asked, tears filling her eyes once more, this time as grief settled deep in her heart, that she had lost so much of her baby's kithood. "Brackenkit, I'm your mother. Don't you remember me at all?" she asked, her brow furrowed as she looked at her son.
Then, as the tears in Fernstar's eyes overflowed once more, she scented a cat coming into camp with another scent masking them, the scent of death, enter camp. She turned, immediately suspicious, and came face to face Iorahue, and the motionless body of Toweringheart. The tortoiseshell leader's mouth dropped open, and as she hurriedly shut it, blinking twice at what she saw in front of her, she felt worse than she had ever felt. Her kit, coming back, only not to remember who she was? And then this, a warrior slain, on top of the few who went missing over the past moon or so? She felt like curling up and wishing that it was all over. But she didn't, as usual. She took a deep breath, squared ehr shoulders, and stared into the eyes of the large warrior. She heard her second comment, and gasped again. Two dead warriors? "Wha- Iorahue, please explain what happened." she said, her tone steely and ragged after her emotional blows, one after another, and her question quick and to the point.
