V E N O M S T R I K E ;; holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground. She didn't know how much longer she had until the kits romping around in her stomach would be born, but Venomstrike was about fed up with her pregnancy. As she waddled toward Grainstar's den, she winced, shaking her pretty head then continuing on. Pausing at the leader's den, she flicked her tail, acid-green eyes staring at the opening. "Grainstar, are you in," she asked, thoughts rushing through her mind like water over a waterfall. She had to talk to him about Windystorm, and everything that had been going on since Alderthorn's death. Her paws shuffled on the ground, and she cleared her throat ever so slightly. This sure was taxing on her nerves, knowing that all of BrightClan was allowing a murderer to live among them. She didn't want her kits to live here if Windystorm wasn't dealt with now.
A stab of pain was felt in her stomach, and she winced, thinking the kits inside were just trying to find a better position. How she didn't know that they were ready to come into the world.

grainstar.Grainstar didn't answer, instead he just emerged from the den in the second after Venomstrike had called for him, as if he had been waiting for her. He hadn't, of course, he had just been going to talk to some warriors about mentoring some of the older kits when he held his next ceremony. Ceremonies. Something almost as stressful as a battle, that required just as much planning as one. It was worth it, though...
He had to admit, the pained look on Venomstrike's face caught him a bit off-guard, but judging by the size of her belly... well, he was no medicine cat, but as far as he knew she'd be kitting soon. He flicked his tail in a sign for the she-cat to sit down and meowed, "What is it, Venomstrike?" [/blockquote]

V E N O M S T R I K E ;; holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground. Venomstirke took the gesture from Grainstar, and flicked her tail slightly. "Grainstar, I have come to talk to you about Windystorm," her voice was grave, and she shuffled her paws slightly. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself and stared at the leader with her acid-green eyes. "I don't know how much anyone told you about the whole Alderthorn incident, but I can't sit back and just let lies and rumors filter through this Clan." Her eyes narrowed, and her tail flicked angrily behind her. Was Grainstar really prepared for what the queen was about to talk to him about? Suggesting that Windystorm was punished for what he did was a lot, and she didn't know if there were any other eye witnesses that had seen the elder tom slay her mate. It was her word against Windystorm's, but she prayed to StarClan that the leader would see through the tom's lies. "Grainstar, Windystorm and Alderthorn had an altercation within the woods, and it was Windystorm that killed Alderthorn. I saw it myself, and dragged his body back to camp."

grainstar."... Windystorm?" he asked blankly, considering this. He'd trusted Windystorm for the sole fact that he was a senior warrior; he looked trustworthy enough. But had he really killed Alderthorn? Sceptically, he searched Venomstrike's face. There was no sign of a lie in it, just hope. Grainstar gazed off past the she-cat's shoulder for a few moments, thinking to himself. He'd heard that Alderthorn had been killed by a rogue, or a fox. He wanted to smack himself for not looking into how he was really killed earlier, because now he didn't know what to beleive.
"Was there anyone else with you?" he asked suddenly, his brow furrowed as he tried to straighten this out. [/blockquote]

V E N O M S T R I K E ;; holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground. His last question hit her hard, and she looked at her paws. Of course she had been by herself when she had seen the confrontation. "I was alone in the bushes, Grainstar. If anyone else was there watching, they were very good at hiding. I couldn't tell if anyone else had seen it." Her voice sounded strained, and a pained look came across her face. Her body rippled slightly, and she let out a groan. Instantly, her mind went to one things. Her kits. Was it that time already? Pained eyes went to the leader, as her body shook. "Grainstar...I need Cloudedsky. I think.. my kits are coming," her voice was strained and shook with pain, and she winced as a terrible pain split through her.

Cinnabarskies
Cinnabarskies ran full pelt to her father's den when she reache the camp. So when she was at the entrance, she was breathing heavily. After catching her breath, she padded in slowly. 'Grainstar? I need to talk to you.' She called out quietly. Though she tried to seem calm, her voice still shook after she witnessed the scene. It kept replaying over and over in her head. Windystorm attacking the tom; the siblings chanting on against their father; Windystorm leaving the Eclipseclan warrior for dead. Cinnabarskies wanted to wail to Starclan and hide next to her father. But she took a deep breath and waited for him to answer.[/sup][/blockquote]

grainstar.Grainstar remained silent for a long time. He wanted to beleive her, he really did, but in all honesty Windystorm had never done anything to be really... suspectable. On the other paw, why would she lie about her mate's death? She had no reason to protect a fox. Ugh. He had gotten a life for judgement, but it didn't seem to be working. The tom stood up and paced around in front of his den, his tail flickering back and forth. But just then, he heard two things at once: his daughter calling for him and Venomstrike's pained mew for help. He cast Cinnabarskies a stern, fatherly glance: Stay there for a second.
"Cloudedskies!" he called, rushing to the medicine cat's den. "Amberpool! Venomstrike's kitting!" he was back to the she-cat's side in a few more heartbeats. He shouldn't be moving her; leave that to the medicine cats. Once Venomstrike was settled and being taken care of, he beckoned Cinnabarskies to a quieter place beside his den.
"What is it?" he asked, concerned for his daughter.
ooc: in case that wasn't clear, he didn't just leave Venomstrike, he waited until the medicine cats were with her. xD sorry for that. [/blockquote]

Cinnabarskies
Cinnabarskies crouched down, scared, as Grainstar moved Venomstrike and came back. She followed him to a quieter place and sat down. She longed to just curl up next to her fther and forget about what she just saw, but she couldn't. He needed to know about unloyal cats. She took a deep breath before starting. 'Well, I was out hunting, when I came across Windystorm and another tom battling. I sat in the bushes and watched, horrified, as Windystorm killed the Eclipseclan tom. I would have gone out to stop the fight, but I feared for my life! That's not all, though, there were two other older Eclipseclanners, both female, just watching. Raccoonmask, Vermillionpaw, Vinepaw, Viperpaw and Eveningpaw were just watching, too! Grainstar, why didn't they stop the attack?!' She bowed her head and tears started to fall as she thought of the dead tom. She got up and padded over to her father and pressed against him for comfort.[/sup][/blockquote]

grainstar. It was as if a great, cold wind had just blown by him. His daughter and the kitting Venomstrike, both calling the same cat a killer? "Where is he now?" he asked, his voice seeming extremely small. He breathed in, and out, and tried to focus on Cinnabarskies' thin face. Then a bit of hope struck him, like a lightiningbolt, as she listed off the other cats. Had they been scared, too? Could he get them all to testify that they had all seen the same thing? They would have to.
He stood up, his blue irises clear again, and he ran his tail down the length of Cinnabarskies' spine like he used to do when she was an apprentice. "Let's go find Raccoonmask and the others, Cinnabarskies. It's okay. We'll sort this out." He brushed against his daughter. "Where was this, exactly? The EclipseClan border?" he guessed. Amberpool The honey coloured female rose quickly as she heard Grainstar calling, grabbing some herbs that she may need. She sped quickly to the leader's den, dipping her head to Grainstar as he left with Cinnabarskies and went swiftly to Venomstrike's side. "Your doing great Venomstrike. Just keep breathing and push when you feel you need to" she said softly to the other female, ready and waiting for the first kit to arrive. [/sub]

Cinnabarskies
Cinnabarskies brushed against her father, glad that he believed her. She looked up at him. 'He's at the Eclipseclan border.' She mewed quietly, suddenly wondring if she's condemned this cat to his death. 'Grainstar, you're not going to kill him, are you? I don't believe that you would, but please don't I couldn't live with that on my conscience.' Then she nodded at his next question. 'Can we go now? Before the Eclipseclanners leave?' She asked.[/sup][/blockquote]

v e n o m s t r i k e && rowankit ------------------------------------- Hearing Amberpool's voice, the queen breathed out slowly, her body then clenching up in pain. In what seemed like hours, but was only thirty minutes give or take, four kits were born, two squirming around, the other two just lying there, dead before they were even in the world. Venomstrike rested her head on the ground, her sides heaving, and her eyes closed. Was she done already? Ears flicked, and she looked to Amberpool, her acid-green eyes refocusing.
The black and white kit, so much like Alderthorn, wiggled beside his mother, his eyes shut tight as he mewled. Venomstrike hosited herself up slightly, readjusting herself so she could bend over and run her tongue quickly over his head. "Its okay, dear. Momma's here." The black and white kit mewed again, and Venomstrike finished licking him off, before going to the other living kit, a female that looked like her, and running her tongue gently over her small body.

gavialkit He opened his eyes, yawning widely. Wait a minute? A newborn kitten opening his eyes? What? Gavialkit looked around for a moment, confused. He was staring at his mother, who was coddling him. He smiled for a moment...then he noticed the identical corpse on the ground. His smile broke and he ran forward, staring at the body. He realized that he was staring at him.
"Momma! Momma! Look! I'm here!" he meowed, running to her and pawing at her head only to have his feet go right through her. He began to scream and cry, wanting so desperately to be mothered like what she was doing to his ickle-firsty twin. Gavialkit wept quietly, staring down at the ground. His eyes suddenly began to turn dark-gray as he slowly returned his gaze to Venomstrike.
"Mother...," he hissed, voice suddenly deeper than his kitten mewls before.

Frostedwing
Frostedwing raced across the clearing to her mate and daughter. "I'm coming with you." She announced, pressing up against her daughter comfortingly. "Don't you worry. This will all be resolved soon." She smiled at the young cat, and licked her ears comfortingly.

grainstar."Of course I'm not going to kill him," he said quickly, flicking his ginger-pelted daughter over the ear chidingly. She didn't look a bit like Cinnabarcloud, except for the pelt color - and even then, his has been a deeper orange, like the most inner regions of a flame. He still thought the name was fitting, though. And Cinnabarcloud deserved to be remembered. He had paused for a moment to look Cinnabarskies over, but she seemed fine, just a bit shaken. The golden tom nodded to his mate. "We'll need more than three. If... if Windystorm is going to put up a fight, we'll need more than three." he proceeded to the warrior's den and called, "Any willing toms or she-cats over twenty moons! We have a scene to sort out." He was still hoping that this was a misunderstanding, but he had to be ready.
While he was waiting for his warriors, the leader padded to Venomstrike. He stayed at a respectful distance but couldn't help noticing the two motionless kits at her side. "We're going to see Windystorm now, Venomstrike." he meowed in a voice that was a bit too loud. He wasn't accustomed to being near kits outside of the nursery. "Thank you for telling me." he eyed the living she-cat and tom, little copies of their parents. [/blockquote]

jackaltooth. "I say! I shall head out on this mighty fine venture of yours, Lord Grainstar. It is treacherous of a tom of such heritage to treat a lady so wrongly and to have killed her good mate without a fair duel!" Jackaltooth spoke up, shaking his long jowls indignantly. He had come back from hunting and had heard the entire thing, having been quite fond of the latest gossip. The handsome leonine character nodded imperiously to Grainstar and sat down, looking out over the camp grounds to see if anyone else would volunteer.

beechclaw
Licking his muzzle sleepily one last time, the deputy got up out of his moss bed at Grainstar's call. The tom lazily licked and paw and drew it over his ear, a grumble rising deep in his throat. Still, it wasn't like he could complain or anything. Maybe it was cold, but this had to be important. He huffed and sigh and gave a slight snort at Jackaltooth's imperial attitude. "Didn't anyone tell you not to eavesdrop?" he asked, a little on the impatient side. The tabby padded up to Grainstar, an anxious glint appearing in his eyes. "I'm here, of course," he dipped his head in respect to the leader before raising it again. "What's wrong?" the tom asked, shuffling his wide paws in the snow. Turning his head, Beechclaw caught Grainstar's words and froze- hey, it wasn't his fault. Grainstar had been speaking loud. Windystorm? Beechclaw had known that the tom and his kits didn't get along, but...
The warrior was still a good warrior, after all.
After a slight pause, he turned back towards the warrior's den. "Seafeather!" he called, voice flat. Inside, he felt himself prickling. Dammit, he didnt like this feeling. He didn't want to have it. He knew all he would do was cause them more pain, but he was selfish enough to still want to be around her. "Grainstar has a mission. You should come." [/blockquote]

seafeather This makes no sense. What’s that sound I hear? I’m lost in a state of confusion. The white she-cat's ears perked as she heard the falt, rusty tone of Beechclaw's voice. She flattened her hearing devices against her skull for a minute, almost scared to go on the patrol with him. It would be awfully awkward and stressing.
The warrior got up slowly from her moss bed, shaking the debris from her pelt before giving herself a good one-over with her tongue. Seafeather exited the warrior's den looking as presentable as possible for Grainstar and the great heartbreaker, Beechclaw.
She shot him a glance of not daggers - but swords - as she walked past the deputy to stand a little bit besides Jackaltooth. She stood somewhat near attentive, her ears pressed forward just the slightest bit as she observed the scene.
Venomstrike was kitting, Windystorm had killed Alderthorn, and Beechclaw wanted her to come with him? Seafeather cursed under her breath just the slightest bit, she'd have to go with him if she wanted to come off as a good warrior to Grainstar. She looked at Jackaltooth as he spoke like a Medieval man, what was wrong with his voice? Seafeather rose her brow just the slightest bit, perturbed by his way of speech. She had never once spoken to this tom before, and she didn't really want to now. Her attention span was short and her mind boomerang-ed itself back to Beechclaw and his courage as to ask Seafeather to go out on a mission with him.
Did he want to kill her or something? [/blockquote]

jackaltooth. He smiled politely at Seafeather, dipping his head to the lady while dismissing Beechclaw entirely. The massive orange tom perked his ears and let his gaze wash over the she-cat. "Greeting, ma'am," Jackaltooth said in a rather clipped fashion. It was quite obvious that she didn't have any interest in speaking to him so he was simply going to salute her for politeness. As for the deputy, Jackaltooth could really care less about that presumptuous cad who acted like no one knew the truth about Windystorm's terrible ways. How blind was Beechclaw anyway? Jackaltooth returned the deputy's snort with one of his own and turned to Grainstar.

beechclaw
Beechclaw had been turning to go and stand beside Seafeather when he heard a snort from the leonine tom behind him. Anger clouded his eyes, and when he turned around, his fur was bristling. Jackaltooth had the the nerve to ignore him. Fluffing up his light brown neck fur, Beechclaw stepped close to Jackaltooth until their muzzles were almost touching. "Look," he said, trying to keep his voice calm. This cat was really pissing him off, the way he acted without respect. "I am your deputy, and you will listen to me. I don't care if you like it or not, but you will. Unless, of course, you're disloyal?" he asked, a veiled threat in his words. Then the deputy stepped back, eyes still narrowed. It wouldn't do if Grainstar thought he didn't have control over his temper. "Got it?" Beechclaw asked, this time more calmly. But still, even the way Jackaltooth had greeted Seafeather had grated his nerves.
Beechclaw swept in between them, standing forwards slightly as to be closer to Grainstar. He kept casting glances at Seafeather out of the corner of his eye. Why was she angry and stiff? He had thought she would be happy to be around him, no matter how awkward it would be. But perhaps he had been wrong. It was too late to dismiss her now, anyways. "So, how are you?" the tom asked, pawing the ground with a hint of nervousness. [/blockquote]

seafeather We stay here tonight, Promise me you won't leave my side. And when the sun comes up we fight, So promise me you won't leave my side. The she-cat smiled a bit in amusement when Beechclaw almost blew up on Jackaltooth, but instead he used the remnants of his anger, as if he had blown up - but it had been invisible. She turned her head away, looking down at her paws as Beechclaw moved between her and the Medieval tom.
"So, how are you?" "Fine, fine," Seafeather chewed on her words and they came out broken. She looked up at him once or twice, catching his eyes as they cast themselves downward. She shuffled her paws in the dirt, the silence between them had already become awkward. She imagined what the patrol would be like and almost winced. She didn't think she would be able to stand that, but, of course, it was always too late to back out. Seafeather looked back up, turning her attention to Grainstar for a moment before asking quietly, so only Beechclaw could hear, "So... When do we leave?" She flicked her ears and flexed her claws, loosening herself up with a shake. She would be able to survive this. She had to survive this. ooc. phailll D:[/blockquote]
