Clearstar
The snowy she-cat padded to the top of the Lilac Hill, her pelt blending in almost completely with her snowy surroundings. The snowfall had calmed down for now, enough for her to decide it was safe enough to hold a ceremony. Clearstar opened her mouth and hollered "All cats join beneath the Lilac Hill for a Clan meeting" before pausing to wait for the Clan to assemble.
"We have some apprentices and kits that need to be assigned mentors today. Could Alphapaw, Fieldpaw, Tacitpaw, Blazepaw, Adderkit, Autmnkit, Larchkit and Deerkit please step forwards"
"Waterpulse, you will mentor Alphapaw. I know that your kindness and patience will help him to grow into a strong and noble warrior"
"Daisyflower, you will be mentor to Fieldpaw. You have served well as a mentor previously and I know you will make me proud again"
"Blizzardhawk, you will be mentor to Blazepaw. As with Daisyflower, you have proved yourself as a mentor already and I know you will bring Blazepaw to his full potential"
She paused here, reconsidering her decision here for the hundredth time. Would this work? Could the two cats manage? She shook her worries away and continued on again. "Kissedmagic, you will be mentor to Tacitpaw. You both have your own way of communicating, both without voices. I'm sure you can make this apprenticeship work and come together in a way that you will both understand" she said, eyes lingering on Kissedmagic for a moment with a warm expression. She knew that the she-cat wouldn't believe that she could do it but Clearstar had faith in her.
"Adderkit, from this day onwards you will be known as Adderpaw. Flarewind, you will mentor Adderpaw. I know that, as deputy, you will do your best"
"Autumnkit, from this day onwards you will be known as Autumnpaw. Jayfeather, you will mentor Autumnpaw. I know you will pass on all of your skills as a mentor"
"Larchkit, from this day onwards you will be known as Larchpaw. Hyenastrike, you will mentor Larchpaw and I know you will bring out the best in him"
"Deerkit, from this onwards you will be known as Deerpaw. Deathlysoul, you will mentor Deerpaw. Your gentle and quiet nature will help Deerpaw grow into a warrior that SerenityClan can be proud of"
"That is all" she finished, before leaping down from the Lilac Hill and joining in with the chanting.

fieldpawand all the words we might have said got twisted up instead The shy black and white apprentice entered the camp in a hurry, shaking snow from his pelt. His small paws took him forwards towards Clearstar. Raising his spotted head in pride, Fieldpaw cast glances out of the side of his spring green eyes. Where was his mentor? Which one was Daisyflower? But it all became clear to him as his mentor began to pad towards him. The apprentice had gone too long without a mentor, and in his hurry, he scampered over to her. Slipping on the ciy ground, Fieldpaw managed to catch himself before he went down embarressingly. It wouldn't do to give his new mentor a bad impression of him. Blushing and licking his chest fur, the usually composed tom padded over to his mentor. "Hey," he mewed, maybe a little too calmly.
tacitpaw but nothing's better than what silence is saying The black tom had been lying lazily in his nest. He was sick of the looks he was getting. The new apprentices kept watching him nervously, as if the older apprentice was about to jump out and eat them at any second. Plus they whispered about him behin his back. They giggled and grouped up, pointing and him and tossing out theories as to why he had no tongue. The lean tom wanted to get up and just give them a couple of good whacks in the head. Just because he was mute didn't mean he was mousebrained or deaf. He was quite smart, and he could hear them perfectly. The skinny tom often leapt up and stalked past them, causing them to quiet tom temporarily. But it didn't last for long. So Tacitpaw learned to block them out. That was why he was so late responding to Clearstar's call. He got in front of her just as she came to him and paused. Tacitpaw glared at her defiantly, as if challenging her to overlook him. But she gave him a mentor, and Tacitpaw let himself relax. That was, until he realized who his mentor was. Kissedmagic? The mute one? the tom thought angrily, lashing his tail. He didn't want a mute mentor. That wasn't fair. He would do so much better with a strong and experienced mentor. Not a mute she-cat like Kissedmagic. he wasn't going to learn anything. Narrowing his eyes, Tacitpaw refused to go touch noses with his mentor. He wasn't usually like this, angry and bitter. But honestly, what did Clearstar expect?[/blockquote]

adderpaw His face lit up as he realized that he had received the clan deputy as his mentor. He grinned for once in his life and trotted up to the tomcat, touching noses with him. The Adderpaw looked around for his siblings. He smiled smugly as he noticed that they all didn't get a good mentor like he had.
He was a predator as he approached Deerpaw, grinning. "Hey," he mewed ignorantly, puffing out his chest so he looked tough in front of his prey.[/blockquote] sealpaw Sealpaw bounced up to Larchpaw, patting him on the back with her paw - a little too hard. "Yay! You're an apprentice, now we can train together!" she exclaimed ecstatically, her little tail wriggling. The she-cat looked around for her twin brother. "Hey, have you seen Sequoiapaw?" she asked. The apprentice turned around in circles, looking for the tabby tomcat. Eventually she grew dizzy and had to stop. Sealpaw stumbled a little bit before regaining her - somewhat - balance. "That was fun!" ooc. blahhhh DD;[/blockquote]

kissedmagic The longhaired silver and white she-cat was sat at the edge of the meeting, but her thoughts were not on what Clearstar was saying. She was thinking of Palegust, the CloudClanner who had saved her more than once now. The pale-coated warrioress jumped when she heard her name. Wh-what? What was going on? She listened in horror as Clearstar made her a mentor. How was she supposed to train a young cat? So he was mute like her, he still deserved more! She turned to pad to him, her reluctance clear in her eyes. The look he gave her made it even worse. She quailed. He didn't want to go near her. She couldn't blame him. deerpaw Amongst her siblings was Deerkit. She towered above them on her gangly limbs, that seemed far too long for her body. The silver tortoiseshell gulped as she looked around at the scene before her. She hated crowds. She'd been dreading this moment ever since she had been old enough to understand it's importance. The young she-cat glanced at Autumnkit, her favourite brother. Being the young she-cat in the litter didn't help. All her brothers were furiously eager to leave the nursery. Deerkit stumbled forward as her name was called. She blinked her misty eyes unhappily, looking around for her mentor. Even his name made her shiver. She couldn't help it when her lip quivered a little as she approached him. "H... H... He-l-lo..." she mewed, her voice broken with nerves. hyenastrike The large ginger tom climbed to his paws, exhaling deeply, as he was called forward to be a mentor. Life had been like a blur to him since he had found about his father's lies. The tom frowned as he listened to Clearstar's words, the deep scar over his face wrinkling. He padded towards the fluffy beige-coated tom that was his new apprentice, Larchpaw. He touched noses with the young tom, his green eyes unreadable. "Hey," he mewed, trying to muster some enthusiasm into his tired voice.

Daisyflower
Daisyflower looked up from where she was eating. She was to be a mentor again? Oh no. She thought, thinking about Morguefable. He would want to see her, but she would have to train Fieldpaw a lot. Oh well, she would just have to fit it all in together. "Hello." She meowed to her apprentice, touching noses with the young cat. "When do you want to start training?"

. Lionpaw . . Through the eye of the storm . The fluffy orange body of Lionpaw bounded from the apprentice's den at Clearstar's call, his ochre coloured eyes a blaze with excitement of what the leader would be talking about now. The large pawed male sat down in a random spot and stared up at the white leader as she made apprentice's and gave mentors. His amber body filled with delight when his twin brother was given a mentor. Lionpaw got to his paws after the ceremonies were finished and thundered over to Blazepaw, 'Congratulations bro!' As the amber male spoke his eyes quickly glanced over to the tall silver tortoiseshell she-cat. Lionpaw hid his expression of embarrassment as he looked back at his brother.

cherrysmoke Cherrysmoke followed her kits from the nursery, still preening at their fur. She smoothed down the scruffy fur between Larchkit's ears, and ran her tail dowm Adderkit's bristling spine. She watched, her cerulean eyes half proud, half worried, as she watched them pad forward. She hurried to Blizzardhawk's side. She touched his chest with one forepaw to congratulate him for recieving an apprentice, then sat down to watch her kits become apprentices. This was the last time she would experience this. She doubted she would ever have another litter. She was getting too old. Her eyes teared up as her kits became Deerpaw, Adderpaw, Autumnpaw and Larchpaw. She wiped them away furiously and smiled at her litter. They weren't little kits anymore. Adderpaw and Autumnpaw already had little muscles, anybody could see that glint of wit in Larchpaw's eye, and Deerpaw was a little beauty. They'd be fine. "Deerpaw! Larchpaw! Autumnpaw! Adderpaw!"

tacitpaw.
Tacitpaw ground his claws into the earth, churning up the dirt. How did Clearstar expect him to cope with a mute mentor? They wouldn't be able to communicate at all. Squeezing his eyes shut, Tacitpaw took in a deep breath. He licked his muzzle slowly, trying to ease away the anger. It worked, partly. He had clamed down a bit. After all, Clearstar must have had a reason to give him Kissedmagic as a mentor. Maybe she had a couple of tricks up her sleeve. Not that she had a sleeve, but that was besides the point. When Kissedmagic approached him, Tacitpaw could see the fear in her eyes. He sighed, trying to make an effort. Touching noses with her, Tacitpaw jerked away a little too fast. He opened his mouth, revealing his stub of a tongue at the back of his throat. Making a grunt, Tacitpaw jerked his head in the general direction of the forest.[/blockquote] fieldpaw.
The black and white tom shufled his paws nervously. Just a few minutes ago he had been chatting amiably with a MoonClan cat. A MoonClan cat! Yet Clearstar was standing here, assigning him a mentor like it was the easiest thing in the world. The tom felt guiltly for betraying her trust, but there was another feeling that rose in his stomach when he thought about the pretty tom. Laughingthrush had been his name. Fieldpaw let a smile come to his face at the thought of silver bengal, but he snapped out of it when he saw Daisyflower in front of him. "Whenever you want to," the tom mewed amiably. Maybe this wouldn't be that bad.[/blockquote]

Deathlysoul
A Black fae appeared through the camp enterance right when she was called to mentor Deerpaw. She padded over to her new appprentice. 'I will do my best to teach you everything i was taught when i was your age young Deerpaw.' Deathlysoul said in a quiet voice. When would you like to start your training?' She watched her apprentice woth curious eyes, mainly liked she watched most things around camp. Deathlysoul had nothing but pride in her heart, maybe now that she has an apprentice people would talk to her more, and not think of her as the rouge she once had been.[/sup]

As he heard his name from Clearstar, the recovering deputy flicked his ears forward. Adderpaw? When golden-green eyes finally locked onto the newly made apprentice, he was already touching noses. Smiling slightly, his tail flicked. However, his eyes went to the nursery, where he knew his litter was with Musicdrift. Sighing, the tom shook off a forepaw, then ran it across his ears slightly. He had already joined in on the chanting, and now wasn't the time to go visit his family. Did Clearstar wan something done? The calico look-alike stood up, turning to the leader. However, he then turned to Adderpaw. "Adderpaw. Shall we begin training?" His paws began to grow cold standing in one place for so long, and he shook his paws out, looking quite ridiculous.

adderpaw The apprentice looked up at Flarewind, independence in his eyes. "R-Right now? I-I mean, yes! Of course!" he stammered. Then he looked behing him at his mother - Cherrysmoke - and turned to the deputy. "Um, can you hold a second?" he mewed before running over to his mom. No matter how hard the tom was on the outside he knew he was going to miss living in the nursery with his mother. Adderpaw nuzzled the former queen's chest, "I love you, Mama." Then he turned to Blizzardclaw - his father - and smiled up at him proudly. Adderpaw looked at Flarewind. He would go back to him after he talked to his mother. ooc. don't kill me! *hides under pillow* D:[/blockquote]

blizzardhawk The tom padded out of the warrior's den as Clearstar called his name. His ears perked up before he glanced around, spotting the the apprentice he was assigned to. A wave of pain crossed over his face. He couldn't train an apprentice correctly if he couldn't even walk himself. Letting out a breath and composing his face, the white tom started forwards, stopping in front of Blazepaw and bending down, almost falling over but catching himself. He let out a grunt, shaking his head. "Be ready in the morning. We'll leave at dawn." Blizzardhawk meowed simply before turning and limping towards his mate. He sat down beside her, looking towards their kits as they became apprentices. A small smile came across his muzzle as Autumnpaw bounced from paw to paw. His eyes watched as Adderpaw broke away from his mentor, trotting towards them both. He gave an encouraging grin, looking away towards the other three others. He smiled softly. musicdrift She grinned widely as she listened quietly to the leader speaking, her eyes turning wide as she heard who Adderpaw's mentor was to be. Quickly licking her kits over the head, Musicdrift withdrew from the nursery, rushing towards her mate and nearly plowing him over as she covered him with licks of congratulations. "I'm so happy for you, Flarewind." She purred, pressing her muzzle to his and giving him a quick lick over the ear. autumnpaw His face seemed to light up as he sped out of the nursery, eyes wide with excitement as he skidded to a halt beside his siblings, looking up at Clearstar as she called for their mentors. As soon as his was named, her looked around. Jayfeather? He'd never heard of the warrior. His eyes narrowed down upon Adderpaw and Flarewind. A pang of sadness creeped into him as he thought of how he wanted to train with the deputy. With a sigh, Autumnpaw glanced around, continuing to look for his new mentor.

ooc;// I thought Waterpulse died recently in the snowstorm. Cripes, I didn't see this thread sooner x___xblazepawHe grinned eagerly at Lionpaw and butted heads with his twin brother. "Thanks, man. Good luck!" the ginger tom cheered. The massive tom turned and ran over to Blizzardhawk, meowing a good luck to his friend Tacitpaw as he passed. He skidded to a halt in front of the white tom and meowed brightly.
"Hi!" he said happily, quite eager to begin training. He blinked when Blizzardhawk was sort of abrupt with him. He nodded and stared after his mentor as the older tom trudged away. Had Blazepaw turned him off by being too rambunctious? The red male sighed slightly and frowned, wondering what was Blizzardhawk's problem. ~ ° [[ Kimi no chikara ni naritainda ]] ° ~ Pansyblossom ° [[ I want to become your strength ]]° "Deerpaw! Adderpaw! Autumnpaw! Larchpaw!" came a gentle voice. Pansyblossom suddenly entered SerenityClan with a much-changed expression in her eyes. She smiled when she saw her mother and ran over to her, letting out a meow of "Guess who's home!" She had had a lot happen to her over the past few moons but she did not regret leaving SerenityClan. She learned a lot about herself and had matured tons.

cherrysmoke The sturdy red-brown she-cat smiled as her mate padded to her. She licked his cheek softly. Everything was smoothing down again. Of course, it still hurt that Pansyblossom and Moonkit had chosen to leave her, but... But time healed her wounds. She watched her four kits with pride flaring in her eyes. When Adderpaw darted to her in a rare burst of happiness, she licked him between his short ears with a smile. "I love you too, Adderpaw," she mewed, emphasizing the new part of his name. Suddenly she wondered why she had ever had such misgivings about her new kits. She adored them. She watched Deerpaw nervously approach her mentor, the little stain of disappointment in Autumnpaw's eyes. Aw, he's jealous of Adderpaw. She bit the inside of her mouth. She was pretty sure Autumnpaw was mature enough not to make a thing out of it. Cherrysmoke blinked in shock as she suddenly heard a new voice, soft and gentle. No, it couldn't be.
It was.
Cherrysmoke stared at Pansyblossom, her expression like the one she had worn when Moonkit reappeared at the last Gathering. She stared at her ginger tabby daughter for a moment. "You came back," her voice was stiff with the sadness she had felt when her daughter had left. Pansyblossom had abandoned her when she needed help. She had left after Moonkit's heart-wrenching decision, and after Petalrain had discovered her pregnancy. Cherrysmoke's expression changed, switching to wariness. Did she really expect to be forgiven so readily? Though of course part of her was screaming to embrace her kit, she pushed it away. kissedmagic The longhaired silver and white she-cat's blue eyes darkened with relief as Tacitpaw padded towards her at last. She noticed how quickly and sharply he touched noses with her, and flinched. It was obvious he didn't like her. Why had Clearstar chosen her...? The warrioress looked at her paws. She glanced up as Tacitpaw grunted. She struggled for a moment, then tried to relax herself. Tacitpaw was like her. He couldn't speak. So he must have found ways to communicate. Kissedmagic nodded, though her shoulders still trembled with nerves. She blinked, extending her muzzle towards Clearstar. We can train after the ceremony. She prayed he'd understand.

"I'm sorry I left in such a rush, Mom. I...I just had to do it. Look! I'm back, just like I promised!" The ginger she-cat twirled around in a circle to show her mother that she was not an apparition...and that she wouldn't go off and disappear again like her brother.
She paused and looked up at Cherrysmoke hesitantly. "I...I...I am welcome here...right?" She tilted her head, examining her mother's cold reactions.

autumnpaw The kit's head snapped up as he heard a familiar voice. One he hadn't heard in moons, it felt like. Glancing around, he spotted his parents and Adderpaw. It was then he saw the ginger she-cat. His eyes widened before he sped off, plowing into Pansyblossom's side as she circled around their mother. "Pansyblossom! Your back!" Autumnpaw meowed, jumping back, then around her, inspecting for anything new. Nothing. Except that scent was a bit different. He scowled as he came to stop in front of her. You shoulda come sooner. Maybe Clearstar would have made you my mentor.." He mewed, trailing off as he noticed Cherrysmoke's rigid stance. He cocked his head before flashing his eyes back towards his older sister.

cherrysmoke && deerpaw The red-brown she-cat sighed at Pansyblossom's words. She knew her daughter so well - too well. It hurt, like an ant sting, that Pansyblossom had chosen to leave - but she was back, as promised. Cherrysmoke looked down as the ginger tabby's grey eyes grew upset. She sighed at length. "It's not really my decision, but..." She glanced up at Clearstar, then at Autumnpaw's happiness. "Of course you're welcome here." Her voice was tired, as though she were admitting defeat. She distracted herself by grooming the fur on Adderpaw's brown-marked head, stealing glances at her daughter to check she bore no injuries.
Deerpaw looked nervously up at her new mentor, her liquid brown eyes anxious. "Thankyou," she squeaked out politely, shuffling her small paws. Her head reached Deathlysoul's nose, due to her overly long legs. It seemed the rest of her body had some catching up to do. "Uhm... I don't really mind," she told Deathlysoul. She really wasn't all that eager to start training. She would have prefered to stay in the nursery with her mother. The silver tortoiseshell blinked as she spotted Pansyblossom. She turned to look swiftly at her mentor. "I'll be back in a minute, is that okay?" She paused worriedly for a moment, then hurried to her aunt's side. "Auntie Pansyblossom!" she mewed jubilantly, dark eyes shining like polished wood.

Pansyblossom smiled gently at Deerpaw, lowering her head and licking her half-sister's ear gently. "You're definitely bigger than when I saw you last," she chuckled softly, smiling at Autumnpaw, Adderpaw, and Deerpaw. She didn't see Larchpaw though. She sighed softly and looked over at her half-brother as he spoke. "That would've been nice. I'll talk to Clearstar. Maybe I can get an apprentice again."
She avoided her mother's gaze for now, figuring that Cherrysmoke would just have to get used to her on her own pace. The bright ginger femme stretched and touched noses with Deerpaw, storm-gray eyes looking up at her apprentice half-siblings. "You guys should head out with your mentors soon. It's training time!" She grinned before heading off to talk to Clearstar.
