Ever since becoming a loner, there has rarely been a day when Hoatzin and Cyanide have not gotten in a fight with another rogue or loner. They might have beat up a kittypet or two once. They don't know. Anyway, you should be able to tell from that that Hoatzin is a fighter. Usually jumping into a fight to defend Cyanide, of whom he is very protective, he's feirce and hard on his sister at times for being so rowdy and tomboyish.
Not that he's not rowdy himself. After all, he left with her after their mother told them the truth about their fathers. But he wishes that Cyanide wouldn't always be so quick to anger and so easily set off by one comment. And that's not to say that he's never been the one to start the fight - he's just to proud and stubborn to admit it.
Hoatzin's also cocky. He knows that he's strong and is confident in his abilities to finish a fight. In fact, he sees himself as the only reason that Cyanide's still alive today and hasn't gotten herself killed by some passing cat.

Now, if you've been paying attention (which I hope you have been!), you'll have noticed that some words are underlined. If you've seen that, then congradulations, you're halfway there to unlocking the past of Cyanide and Hoatzin. You see, Creampelt was a young MoonClan warrioress who was, sadly, a little bored with her mate, Taintedskies. She needed more affection. More excitement. More adventure.
And Serpentfang could give her that.
They flirted. And flirted. And before you knew it, beautful young Creampelt was pregnant. And when the kits were born - a female and male - they were both tawny brown. Uh-oh. Neither Creampelt nor Taintedskies was brown... but Serpentfang was. Taintedskies was furious, which was odd for the usually cold and quiet tom. He left camp and was never seen again. To cover up her mistake, Creampelt and Serpentfang became mates and named the kits Tulipkit and Vulturekit. Neither knew that they had anpther father other than Serpentfang - Taintedskies, of course.
Before they became warriors, Tulippaw and Vulturepaw learned the true story of their conception and birth. Tulippaw had been guarding the camp entrance one night when Creampelt approached her with tear-stained cheeks. She told her daughter of Taintedskies and what really happened in those three moons before they were born. Tulippaw was embarassed as any popular and well-liked apprentice would be to learn that she had two fathers. Creampelt pushed past her daughter out into the forest.
Creampelt never returned... alive, that is. Her body was found that morning and Serpentfang had fled somewhere. Tulippaw told Vulturepaw of Taintedskies and they agreed to leave MoonClan. They had no family left here. They had no reason to stay. And most of all, they could never let their secret get out. But they agreed to stay a few more moons before leaving. Finally they got their warrior names - Tulipshower and Vulturetalon - and despite the celebrations they had with their Clanmates, that night they slipped out during their virgil.
So, Tulipshower became Cyanide and vowed never to take a mate, to 'make up' for what her mother had done. Vulturetalon changed his name Hoatzin, and instead of splitting up and going stheir seperate ways, the two decided to travel together. Since then, they have never left eachother's sides for more than a few days at a time.[/blockquote]I never wanted to say this

so, what did you think I would say? twenty-two moonsI'm not so naive
no, you can't run away tom
no, you can't run away lonerso, what did you think I would say?Hoatzin looks a lot like one of his fathers. Creampelt's big mistake was made clear when he came out looking just like Serpentfang. His pelt is a dark brown, like the bark of some exotic tree. His spine is highlighted by a long black stripe that crawls from the top of his head to the baseof his tail. And, like the branches of that exotic tree, all the other stripes branch out from that big one. He's also the bigger of the two siblings - him and his sister Cyanide - but despite that he still can't win a fight with her. His coat is usually rather messy, but unlike Cyanide he does stop to groom it every now and then. No need to be all dirty, even if you were loners.
no, you can't run away
no, you can't run away
you wouldn't
His eyes are a pale amber-green, set into a large skull. He's big-boned and well-muscled, that's for sure, and a looker to boot. Definately the type of cat a she-cat (who wasn't his sister. Don't think like that.) would like to have around. His legs are thick and stocky, perfect for running long distances or knocking a cat out on the spot. His ears are trained to pick up the slightest movement. His whole body is a museum of scars and a warning of just how much he's been through. Inside each toe is a sharp, hooked claw. Hidden inside his jaw are rows of pearly white teeth. Don't mess with him. Seriously.
