A Russian Blue tom with kiwi-green eyes.
Russian Blue is somewhat of a misnomer. When a cat is referred to as blue, it does not always mean the human color blue. Here, this is the case. Swampfox is actually a gray tom, a shade which changes value based on where you're spotting him. In some cases, one can barely see him because he can become pure black. Other times it seems as he's a light stone color if you're looking at him in the light. But anyway, enough babbling about that for now.
Swampfox was named because when he was young, he loved laying down in water puddles (no matter the temperature) and holding his head up as if he was a crocodile in a fen. This trait carries on to present time, where it's not a surprise to see this tom's silky fur to be soaking wet and spiked out like a shocked hedgehog. He simply loves swimming and carrying out ambushes from the water. In fact, one of his fighting techniques is similar to the croc's death roll, in which he uses his immense girth to suffocate the foe while he rolls around with his paws locked around neck and stomach of the other cat. His paws are excellent for this, being large and snowshoe-ish like a lynx's, and they end in inch-long claws. As I mentioned earlier, Swampfox is huge and he won't hesitate to use his weight to his advantage.
This body obviously can't be standing on landlubber legs. Swampfox was gifted with a set of muscular limbs in which the fibers make the hair atop them ripple like grasses in the wind. These aren't the things that are massive. In fact, doesn't it just seem like Swampfox is too big for his own good. Anyway, I'm digressing. Back to the cat here. As I was saying, his legs aren't the only things to be big. This guy's ears perch out of the water like periscopes if he wants them to, but they can also lie flat like fallen sails. Swampfox's lynx-like ears are used as direction givers or mood signals. His body ends in a long bottle-brush tail.
This male's eyes are the weirdest things of all. His kiwi orbs have a clear protective coating so that he is able to see underwater and they are also ridged around with bone so that Swampfox's head sort of protrudes out from the water like a log or something inconspicuous. Despite his odd body structure and awkward immensity, Swampfox does his best to carry himself with a regal and professional tone.
I'll never need to see the sun again There's enough light in your eyes to light up our little world So take me, take me away Kill me slowly, I'll never be the same
Any relationship with Swampfox is purely professional so do not take things he says to an intimate level unless he makes it clear that that it what he was going for. He will comfort any cat equally, giving she-cat encouraging words to make them feel better. More than once has he caused rifts between mates simply because a she-cat ran to him for love and affection and ended up breaking her mate's heart so she could follow a cat that would never love her back. Though Swampfox is serious, he can show a soft side when it's needed but it's not often seen. He doesn't laugh very often, and when he does, it's usually a gruff husky thing, like a crow waking up. He's also rather formal, usually bowing his head low before a cat of higher rank and keeping his voice to a lower level rather than the booming, commanding-authority vocalization he usually keeps on his person.
Swampfox is a loyal, sacrificing character, almost to a fault. He doesn't like it when the leaders of the Clan put themselves at risk when he, a fit to fight warrior, could take the assault team and fight in their stead. While he understands that they must lead the Clan, he prefers for them to let him protect them.
Though he can become quite the beast in battle, for the most part, Swampfox is totally calm. Even when someone insults a higher-up, he calmly enters the situation and disperses it with a quick compromise. If that doesn't work, Swampfox might bare his long fangs a bit and use his overwhelming combo of orbs and immensity to make the other back down. He doesn't care if others fear him, respect him, or both. However, he demands respect on a consistent basis. He values privacy a lot.
Swampfox can sort of be seen as a hero figure, the type of cat queens tell their kits to admire and be like. However, he's definitely not perfect. He's kinda nit-picky about things and he doesn't tolerate dissent whatsoever. He has the potential of becoming a tyrant, actually.
I swear to you, on everything I am And I dedicate to you all that I have And I promise you that I will stand right by your side Forever and always until the day I die
Duskynight was in an odd position. The Russian Blue tom had just been accused of killing his best friend, Mixedpelt, even though he knew he was innocent. The accuser was Mixedpelt's sister, Solarstar, who disliked Duskynight very much. The odd thing was this. The BearClan tom was the medicine cat, someone vowed to saving life not causing death. Many believed that Solarstar was paranoid and being an instigator, but Solarstar knew a secret that no one else in the Clan knew except Duskynight and a queen. The queen, Swanwhistle, was heavily pregnant was Duskynight's kits. The morning after Solarstar's accusational Gathering, Swanwhistle told the leader that she would leave if Solarstar revoked her calls to have Duskynight removed from his position. Before Duskynight could have any say in the matter, Solarstar accepted the queen's offer and kicked her out of BearClan.
So Swanwhistle traveled for two weeks to Black River Forest, where she encountered a CloudClan border patrol. They saw her plight and accepted her into their ranks, where she soon gave birth to three healthy kits. Only one was stillborn due to to the journey, but Swanwhistle was no weak queen and was used to rough situations. She did not dwell on her grief for Tangerinekit long, instead focusing on raising Warkit, Swampkit, and Aspkit. However, she died from a mysterious illness when the three boys became apprentices (the Two-legs call it liver cancer). Warpaw, Swamppaw and Asppaw were inseperable and were quite the troublemakers, though Warpaw and Swamppaw loved to fight for the Clan while Asppaw would rather sneak around and be a rogue. The tom's wish was granted in their ninth moon, when Asppaw ran away to become a rogue. Warpaw and Swamppaw never saw their brother again but they did not mourn him for long. Fighting was on the horizon.
They saw their first war at 11 moons, when their mentors Blindingwind and Grayheart were just about to give their accessments. The two fought valiantly in battle, earning their share of battle scars even though they didn't fight as much as the older warriors did. It was then they were named Warheart and Swampfox, in honor of the combination Warpaw's brave spirit and Swamppaw's cunning ambush maneuvers. By the time they were 20 moons, two more battles had been fought, both with young badgers. The two became to be known as heroes for their prowess, though some called them power-hungry, as they were constantly see at the leader's and deputy's side to help with the war effort.
At 32 moons, Swampfox's life sort of diverged from that of his twin brother's when he was given an apprentice. Her name was Faithfulpaw and she couldn't have been more different than her mentor. In fact, she held Swampfox as a figure of bedtime terrors for the longest time until it finally got through to her that she wasn't going to be hurt by him. Despite the tedious beginning, Swampfox and Faithfulpaw managed to get over their differences and find a way to work together. She became Faithfulheart when Swampfox was 38 moons, then his mate two moons later. The age difference—40 and 14—didn't occur to her. She had gone from being terrified to being desperately in love with him. Unfortunately, Faithfulheart died while kitting, her narrow pelvis being the death of her and the kits inside her. After that, Swampfox decided not to take a mate. However, he has had two apprentices—Gardenpaw and Henpaw—and has fought in the Tribe battle in the 20 moons since Faithfulheart's death.

And I'll never need to see the sun again There's enough light in your eyes to light up our little world So take me, take me away Kill me slowly, I'll never be the same
