cootkit It was freezing. Far too cold to sleep. He didn't understand how his mother and siblings were managing it. A small, scrawny scrap of a kitten pulled himself away from Haloheart's fluffy stomach, his dull pond-green eyes wide in the gloom. Cootkit's gaze swept his slumbering siblings. They had grown a little since there birth. Myrtlekit was the biggest by far, with rolls of thick ginger fluff covering her chubby body. Next was Coconutkit, with a sturdy frame, and that ever-so-slightly squashed face. Cootkit was second only to Tinykit, who was true to his name, and looked more like a mouse than a cat. Well. In Cootkit's opinion. Cootkit inhaled, then sneezed loudly, his skinny frame shuddering. Winter was treachorous for kits. Especially scrawny weak little things with rubbish immune systems, like Cootkit and Tinykit. The small creature wandered from his mother's nest. It was so cold. He could hear the snowstorm howling outside. He was surprised it wasn't ripping the brambles apart. Even as he walked, his stick-legs shuddered and folded inwards. "Hey! No fair! Lemme up!" He wailed thinly, struggling to his paws and looking furious, as well as embarrased.
// I need to RP my new CC kits. I'll probably bring Mayakit in later. ^^

Ears flicked, as the largest kit of Tawnysky's litter lifted his head up from where his siblings and him lay. "Do you honestly have to make such a racket?" Eyes narrowed, as the tom-kit pushed himself from the nest that he shared with is family. Shaking out his tabby coat, he wandered over to where Cootkit was, his ears flicked forward slightly. Eyes were narrowed, though the chilly cold of the winter weather outside caused him to blink and shudder in his place. "W-w-wooa-hhh. When did it-t-t- get s-s-s-soo c-c-cold?" The tabby tom sat down next to Cootkit, his eyes looking toward the entrance of the nursery. Thick snowflakes fell down into the camp of CloudClan, and Bearkit debated on whether he really wanted to step outside in this weather. Deciding against it, his fur fluffed out slightly, and he ran his rough pink tongue over his chest quickly, trying to make it lie flat. His thin tail flicked behind him, as his golden eyes went to the entrance of the den again. Ever since he was able to see and speak, he had often questioned his mother about where his father was. She would never answer him, no matter how much she bugged him. And this was ticking him off. He wanted to know his father, why he wouldn't ever come visit. And it was getting to the point that if the tom-cat did come visit, that Bearkit would be sure to claw his face off.

ooc|| so aurrie doesn't seem to want her charries back ^^ so i can keep gannet and post with him here, right? T.T gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
The brown tabby padded around the nursery, amber eyes glancing around for his siblings. They had wanted to go out and play in the snow, but Gannetkit had pretended to be asleep. There was no way they were dragging him into that. Couldn't they see his pelt was perfectly groomed and shining? He wasn't going to mess it up. The tom was feeling good, and rather proud of himself. But he hoped none of them showed us as he peeked outside. It really was snowy outside, and the sky seemed in danger of being whited out. The senior kit caught the scents of two others and padded over to them, treading daintily. He arrived in time to hear Bearkit whining about the cold. Honestly, couldn't he doing something other than complain? "It's not that cold out. Honestly, Bearkit," the tom mewed primly, nose in the air. A gust of wind whipped past him and the tom shivered, chilled to the bone.
"Cootkit, you're so pathetic," shot the arrogant tom, though he really didn't have anything against the small kit. But he had to look pretentious, or no one would respect him. He didn't even have a father anymore- Gannetkit stopped himself there, wincing ever-so-slightly. He turned his attention back to the other kits, standing tall. [/blockquote] crisiskit. come in come in!! crisis not averted, sir! The silver tom padded thoughtfully through the nursery, following Gannetkit's grey frame. He blinked in wonder as he stepped outside. To the colourblind kit, it was a mass of white and light grey. The only dark spots were the cats that braved the snow. He took a step to be whacked in the face with a snowdrift. Spitting out the white snow, Crisiskit looked around in wonder. He blinked, claws digging into the snow. The silver tabby slipped, pitching forwards. He managed to keep his balance, staying on all four paws as he joined the other three kits in the clearing. "Lay off, Gannetkit," the tom mewed calmly, flicking Bearkit with his tail as more wind hurled into the nursery. Already, the tom was missing his moss den beside his mother's sleeping frame. But a bit of social time couldn't hurt, even if it was with Cootkit and Gannetkit as well as his brother. Crisiskit sighed inwardly, but the tom really didn't mind the other's company. It was hard to get on the noble cat's nerves, and he sat daintily down. "How're you doing, Cootkit?" he mewed, trying to be polite. [/blockquote]

periwinklekit. The sound of other kits playing about made her wake up. Periwinklekit yawned a long yawn, her jaw opening so wide that she stumbled backwards. She stretched her back and blinked open her blue eyes, pale creamy pelt glowing in the winter light. Her eyes were wide as she saw the snow, and as if in a daze she walked towards the entrance to the den. Wow! White, fluffy stuff! The clouds must be falling, she convinced herself as she stuck her paws on the snow.
"Ack!" she squeaked in surprise, stumbling over the fallen Cootkit as she scrambled backwards. "Huh, I never thought clouds'd be so cold! And watery!" she exclaimed in a loud voice, jumping to her paws. A goofy smile was plastered across her face as she caught sight of Cootkit. Excited at talking to a kit about her age (that wasn't her brother or sister) she forgot all about the falling clouds and meowed, "Oh, hi! Did'ya fall down? Do you wanta get back up?". Wide blue eyes gazed down at Cootkit, her tail waving in the air. [/blockquote]

cootkit The brown speckled tabby's ears burnt as he heard pawsteps and a loud, arrogant voice. The small tom righted himself fully, shaking his stubby tail. He bared his pin-like teeth angrily at Bearkit, fur bristling. "Shut your big fat mouth, Bearkit!" His voice grew high-pitched with hysteria. The young tom glared, goggle-eyed, at the much larger (though no older) tom, until Gannetkit materialized. Cootkit felt furious tears bead in his pond-green eyes as Gannetkit continued the onslaught Bearkit had started. "Say that again y-you stupid mouse-dung eater!" He wailed. Cootkit glared at the two of them, fully prepared for a fight, though both were far bigger, and Gannetkit at least four moons older. Then Crisiskit appeared, too. The scrawny brown tabby lifted his chin, though his face was still peaky with tears, as if warning Crisiskit not to join in the verbal abuse that his brother, and Gannetkit were dishing out. To Cootkit's surprise, the silvery tabby kit sat beside him. "M'all right. Guess." The tom looked at his paws, still smoldering inside from the other two kits' words. When Periwinklekit appeared, Cootkit frowned at her. The mood seemed to have lightened. "Shut up. I didn't fall over. I just... I just didn't! Okay!" His voice lacked conviction, but he looked pained.

periwinklekit.Periwinklekit tipped her head to the side, genuinely confused. Had she missed something? "Are ya sure? 'Cause I saw you and you were all fallen over but..." She must have, she must have. "Hey, dun' tell me to shut up, 'cause I did nothin', and now everyone's here and sayin' mean things and I can't tell why." It's the clouds, she decided, they make everyone grumpy.
"Wow, it's really-super chilly," the brown-spotted she-kit mused, fluffing up her coat to the best of her abilities. She sneezed, then stared in amazement at her nose (and going cross-eyed again). She'd done that 'achoo' thing before but whenever she did it she could never do it again. She could fake it, but they never came out the same as the real, random sneezes she sometimes had. gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit lashed his tail, anger piercing through him. Even though Cootkit was much smaller, Gannetkit was dying to become an apprentice, and his patience was wearing thin. "At least Bearkit isn't falling over, you piece of mousefodder. Grow up, Cootkit," he humphed and turned away, not wanting to put up with Cootkit's peasentry. There were better things that Gannetkit could do other than have to put up with the whiner of the nursery. He turned to pad away angrily, and almost bumped into Periwinklekit as he did so. "Watch it-" he mumbled, shooting her a glare. No one appreciated him anymore. Maybe if he found Loonkit or another on his siblings. The tom snorted once more and watched the proceedings from a farther location as Cootkit denied his fall. Oh, the humiliation. Gannetkit needed a better pastime.
crisiskit.
come in come in!! crisis not averted, sir! Crisiskit dug his paws into the light snow, pressing his light silver fur against Cootkit's shivering frame. The colourblind tabby looked around, breathing out a sigh of relief as Gannetkit left. He would be an apprentice soon enough, and the nursery would be better off. The tom licked Cootkit's ear gently, then flicked him with his tail. "Yeah, you did. There's no shame in it," he chided gently, then saw Periwinklekit. "Hey!" he called out cheerfully, a twinkle in his eyes. It was cold out, and Crisiskit wondered what had gotten all the kits out of their nests. "Yeah, iz really cold," the tom slurred, licking a paw. "Why does it have to be so cold?" [/blockquote]

Brokenskull Just take a look through my eyes...A massive cat padded out of the warrior's den, looking around at the snow with a confused expression, as he always did, despite having seen it before. Brokenskull lumbered around the camp, as if trying to find something with which to amuse himself, then spotted the kits.
He pounded along until he reached them. "Hello kits!" He meowed joyfully, smiling widely at them. He looked down at Cootkit, who appeared ruffled. "Cootkit are...you alright?" He asked, tilting his huge head to one side and padding over to his son. He gave him a lick between the ears and grinned at him cheesily.

[ooc]Oh my gosh Shade, I am sooo sorry I haven't made Bramblekits biography yet! *shoots self* I'll get to work on it right now, and if its not ok to post with her then just say and I'll delete her part of it.
[bic]Carnationkit The growing kit approached all the others, happy now that the nursery was so busy and full of kits. She danced over to the others, rolling her eyes as she heard Cootkit snapping at the others and Gannetkit primly reprimanding them all. Why was her brother always like that? "Sheesh guys, how about you all just shut up? There's no point arguing when we could all be friends. Why don't we play?" she asked, looking hopefully around at the others. Bramblekit Like a shadow she was there, right behind her twin brother. She hissed as Gannekit spoke to him, immediately shoving past her brother to stand in front of Gannetkit. "Don't you talk to my brother like that!" she hissed, eyes narrowed. As Gannetkit left she puffed our her chest triumphantly, ignoring the fact that the older kit probably hadn't even listened to her and turned back to Bearkit, nodding towards Carnationkit to show she had heard her idea about playing. "What should we play?" she asked Bearkit, sticking close to her brother. Dewstep The tiny she-cat glanced up nervously as she saw the kits edging towards the fierce snowstorm outside. She got to her feet quickly, trying to herd them all back inside. "I know it looks wonderful kits, but I don't want any of you catching a chill, How about playing further back in the nursery?" she said, grey eyes soft. [/sub]

cootkit Cootkit ignored Periwinklekit for a few moments, then turned to look at her. "I'll tell whoever I want to shut up," his voice was supposed to sound meancing, but it was limp, almost a whimper. He turned away from the others, intending to slip back to his mother, when Gannetkit's insult hit his ears. "Shut up! Shut up!" Cootkit was breathing deeply, looking as though he would dearly wish to leap at the arrogant kit and claw his fur off. He pulled away from Crisiskit, pond-weed green eyes burning. "Leave me alone!" He backed away from all of them, eyes filled with anguished tears. Frustration welled up inside of him. When his father appeared, Cootkit scuffed his paws on the grass. He knew Brokenskull wouldn't approve of him fighting. "Fine," he mumbled, not looking up. He didn't respond to Carnationkit, though he was pretty sure she blamed him for the argument. So he slunk away from the group, ignoring the offer of play, to slump down miserably by himself.[/blockquote]

pixiekit.
Pixiekit had been sleeping in the corner, by herself, trying to wait out the snowstorm until it had passed. It howled and it wailed, like an elder with seriously stiff joints. She awoke when shrill kit voices pierced the air, on the verge of an arguement. Pixiekit stood up and yawned, her pink tongue spilling out over small but sharp teeth. She stretch her striped gray limbs, one by one, before swaggering over to the group of kits. Gannetkit was, as usual, pissing off someone. The she-kit sighed. She always sparred with Gannetkit, since he was always making someone else feel bad.
Pixiekit saw Cootkit, one of Haloheart's, walk away from the group, looking miserable. Pixiekit frowned and went up to Gannetkit, who looked a bit smug. She poked him fiercely in the chest. Why are you always hurting people's feelings? You think that's fun, huh, smarmy boy? [/blockquote]

Golden eyes watched Gannetkit, and his ears flicked back ever so slightly. Complaining? A soft hiss escaped him, and he flicked his tail in dismissal. As the other kits appeared, seemingly out of no where, Bearkit heard Bramblekit's voice, and a wide smile crossed his face. At least his twin was there. "C'mon, Bramblekit. These guys aren't worth it. Lets go play something that they can't." His tail flicked, and he rolled his eyes at his other two siblings, then went back into the nursery like Dewstep had suggested. Besides, he was getting a bit colder than he needed to be, and he didn't want to get sick. "Ugh. I hate being a kit. I can't wait until I'm an apprentice. I'll show them." These words were muttered under his breath, as he plopped himsel down next to his mother, clearly not in the mood to play now. His eyes were half-closed, as he lay there, watching for Bramblekit.

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit was sitting slightly off to the side, holding his head high in the air. Out of the bottom of his eyes, he could see Cootkit wandering away. Serves him right, though the light brown tabby, licking the snow off of his muzzle. Cootkit couldn't go around and complain all day long. He really was such a crybaby. Gannetkit had simply put him in his place, that was all. Gannetkit turned to lick his shoulder arrogantly, when a tap on his chest interrupted him. He looked over to see Pixiekit, glaring indignantly at him. The brown tabby narrowed his eyes at her, fluffing up his neck fur. What was her problem? It wasn't any of her business, what he did and said. Licking a paw and running it over his head, Gannetkit paused thoughtfully and tried to look noble.
"It serves him right," the tomkit mewed snobbishly. He cats a glance over at Cootkit from the corner of his eye. "He's such a baby," the tabby said in his defense. Why was Pixiekit always on his case. "It's barely cold out. He needs to grow up!" despite his words, the tom shivered. He hadn't known that the sky and clouds could make things so wet. But he had to act brave. After all, he was almost an apprentice. With another glance at Cootkit, Gannetkit decided the kit could suck it up. At least Cootkit had a father... The tom blinked tears away from his eyes before Pixiekit could see he was upset. [/blockquote]

pixiekit.
It serves him right. He's such a baby. What kind of reasons were those? Pixiekit huffed under her breath. She poked him again, her expression becoming fiercer and fiercer. "It's not your job to make fun of everyone else! Just because Cootkit's cold doesn't mean you have to act all snotty and say you're fine, when you obviously not!" She let her face soften. "And anyways, he's younger." She looked past Gannetkit and her settled on the miserable-looking Cootkit.
When she looked at Gannetkit, she saw him blink away tears. The she-kit's eyes opened wide. "Hey... Are you crying?"

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit narrowed his golden eyes, staring down at Pixiekit like she was the most annoying cat in the Clan. Which she was, really. Sure, she could be nice if she tried, but why couldn't she leave him alone? The prince stomped his feet and humphed, looking sideways for a moment. Cootkit was whimpering and wobbling, and it was seriously getting on Gannetkit's nerves. "I don't care how cold it is or isn't. He just has to learn how to deal with it. Can you imagine him as a warrior?" it was no use trying to justify his arguement for Pixiekit. She just wouldn't understand. "Anyways," he added in a noble tone. 'I was never like that."
Then the tom paused, and blinked. He leaned forward sligtly, a retort coming almost immediately to his curled lips. His small claws dug into the snow as he tried to protest his weakness. "No! Of course I'm not crying!" he whined, voice strained. "I was just thinking Cootkit at least has a dad there for him..." wrong thing to say. The tom cringed, more tears appearing atr the corners of his eyes. Why wasn't his dad there? Why was his dad gone? "Why did my dad hafta go an' leave?" he whimpered quietly. [/blockquote]

pixiekit.
Pixiekit frowned at his comment about Cootkit, but didn't say anything. She wanted him to answer her question. Then, he dropped the regal attitude. Patience is rewarded. She took off her mean face, and put on a concerned one as he confessed his troubles. Oh... he's just upset about his dad. Pixiekit ducked her head guiltily. I shouldn't have pushed him around like that... A harsher voice in her head snarled. But that doesn't give him a right to push others around! Pixiekit agreed with both voices. Now, how was she supposed to voice her opinions, and make up for what she did?
The she-cat cleared her throat loudly. She looked down at her paws, looking a little embarassed. "You're dad's always there for you, whether he's here or in Starclan. He's not really gone. He's always watching you and your siblings." She looked up now, a fire blazing in her amber eyes. "But just because you miss him doesn't mean you have the right to push others around, though! Putting others down just makes more misery, and it makes everything worse."

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit shuffled his paws, glancing at Pixiekit almost nervously. She appeared to be thinking, and the brown tabby was secretly anxious. But instead of showing her that he was hanging on the edge waiting for her response, he began to snobbishly groom his sleek fur. He really was handsome, and he hoped everyone else noticed. After all, he was a prince. Yes, a fine prince, without a king. But he had to act tough. All of his siblings were counting on him. He was the biggest kit in the nursery, and right now he would even defend Cootkit from a malicious apprentice. The tabby finished and looked back up at Pixiekit as the she-cat began to speak. He feigned boredom, leaning back and watching her from slitted eyes.
"Just 'cause you say he's watching us doesn't make it okay for me. Cootkit has his daddy with him but I dun. What if he's not watchin' me? What if he's watchin' mum an' doesn't care 'bout us, huh?" Gannetkit shot back, anxiety and sadness slurring his usually clear and enunciated tone. Pixiekit just didn't understand. He snorted again. She just didn't get it, did he? 'I wouldn't go around talking down to the smaller kits if they didn't always run to their dadies. I did it on my own, so can they. They have it easy. Us nobility don't," he said, putting his haughty voice back up. Had to become regal again. [/blockquote]

pixiekit.
Pixiekit huffed loudly. Was he trying to be difficult? She took a moment to come up with an answer. "I'm pretty sure your dad's not so stupid that he can't watch his whole family at once. And don't tell me he doesn't care, because every dad cares about their kits, and don't any different, or I'll slug you in the chest," She finished fiercely. There. He couldn't argue with that.
However, what he said next made her blood boil again. She unsheated her claws and dug out holes in the snow to show her frustration. "So you're saying you pick on the smaller ones because they're weaker? I'm smallest in my litter. You think you can pick on me, huh?" She narrowed her eyes, and tensed her muscles. "And how many times do we have to tell you? You're not noble! You're just an uptight tom with his head in the clouds!" She let out a quiet hiss. Gannetkit was the one that really provoked her. Pixiekit got upset by a lot of things, but it was Gannetkit who pissed her off the most.

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit sighed softly and shook his head as he finished, but the tom perked up again as Pixiekit threatened him. The prince didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. She was so tiny; and yet so fierce. She was like a little gremlin, staring up at him from his chest height. Gannetkit whacked her head playfully with a paw, a good mood coming up through him. Pixiekit was right. His dad was out there; watching him. Proud of him. Barely listening as Pixiekit berated him for picking on other kits, Gannetkit let his handsome jaw drop. In a deep voice, the tom wondered. "D'you think he's ashamed of me for being mean? It's just annoying that all the little kits run to their dadies. I can't; I have to be tough. Or they'll think I'm a crybaby, when I'm actually a regal prince."
Not wanting Pixiekit to get on his nerves again, Gannetkit took in another deep breath. "So, lady Pixiekit, you dare challenge Lord Gannetkit the brave?" his eyes twinkled with mirth as he bunched up his muscles and leapt, aiming to knock her down by her shoulders.

pixiekit.
"Hey!"
Pixiekit's head throbbed after Gannetkit thumped her. She recovered quickly, and crouched, ready to fight back. But then she saw the playful twinkle in his eye, and she relaxed. Oh, he's playing. What a bit of a change. She stood up again and, before she could give a sarcastic comment, he launched himself at her. Her eyes opened wide in surprise, but her body wasn't so slow. Instinct knocked her sideways, out of the way of the regal tom-kit's paws. Ha!, She mewed triumphantly. "Small cats are nimble and lithe, and therefore have a better advantage over big, clumsy cats like you!"

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
When the brown tabby landed, paws on thin air, he paused. Where had she gone? Landing roughly in the dirt and rolling over, Gannetkit sprang back to his feet in a defensive crouch. His golden eyes cast glances all over the nursery, but where was she hiding? She must be behind him somewhere. The toms' tactical thinking was overriding his common sense, and Gannetkit almost did a double take as he looked to see Pixiekit standing right in front of him. Aggravated, but amused, by her triumphant mews and entertaining insults, Gannetkit twitched his whiskers. "Blasphemy!" mewed the prince, narrowing his eyes. He may not be the nicest, but no one could deny he was a good fighter for his age.
"I'll just sit on you, shrimp!" he taunted her, leaping forward. He did that same as last time, but this time he prepared himself. If she tried to move away agin, the tom could simply drop himself fown and pin her underneath him. Big and stronger would always beat small and faster. [/blockquote]

__________L O O N K I T [settle the score with honor and blood] She shot out and tackled Gannetkit by clasping her paws around his neck and trying to yank him down. "Brother, let them be," Loonkit said softly, looking up at him with piercing mysterious eyes. The black and white kitten pawed at the prince's face, frowning severely before turning to help Pixiekit to her paws. "I heard what you said to Cootkit and now you're using such uncouth language toward Pixiekit? What sort of prince does that?" She regally lifted up her head, stiffening her frame slightly. Despite being younger than her foster brother, she commanded the same respect as that of her foster mother. Since the death of Oleandergaze, she took it upon herself to help her mother out with shepherding her brothers and sisters.

periwinklekit.Periwinklekit watched with wide eyes as Cootkit went off to sulk by himself. Frowning, she followed him, nudging his shoulder with her muzzle, a confused look on her face. "Hey, why d'ya look so sad? Maybe 'cause you're not feelin' good? Is that it? Are yas sick?" she only meant the best. Her eyes were caring and her tone was gentle, though she couldn't really remember why Cootkit had told her to shut up in the first place. Maybe he was just grumpy today? "I'm sometimes grumpy, too, ya knows." she meowed lightly. When Gannetkit and Pixiekit started fighting, she covered her ears to try and stay focused on Cootkit's reply. Too many people were talking at once! She couldn't keep her composure for long.
"Hey, hey, Gannetkit? Can ya --" she cut off when Gannetkit called out a word she could barely understand. Balasamie? Balsalami? Blasfenie? She pursed her lips, but shrugged it off. Maybe he was just crazy... or maybe he had made up a word, just for himself! She laughed suddenly, and tried to mimic 'the prince'. "Balasfemieeeee!"
Having had her fun, she looked back to Cootkit. What had they been talking about, again? Oh. Right. Something about being grumpy. Was he grumpy...? [/blockquote]

rhymekit The bouncy kit had been roused by the sounds of other kits fighting. The grey and white tabby she-cat skipped over to where her sister stood yelling at Gannetkit. She frowned. She knew that the tom could be a big, annoying dunghead sometimes, but he could be quite nice, too. When he wasn't having wooing competitions with Hailthunder. Rhymekit giggled darkly as Pixiekit and Gannetkit began a vicious play fight. Her olive eyes widened, then she threw herself into the fray. Rhymekit stood beside her sister, grinning widely. "Hey hey hey Gannetkit!" she squealed happily. "What's up? I heard you arguin' with Pixiekit." She poked him lightly in the chest with her paw. "Hey, Pixiekit, did you hear Mum-Mum last night? She said she was worried 'bout Pap-Pap. She said he was coffin' and stuff." Rhymekit looked anxious, the expression unusual on her thin little face. Then her eyes suddenly brightened. "He'll be fine soon, just like when I got that tickly and then it went..." cootkit Cootkit blinked miserably at Loonkit and Pixiekit as they passed him. He tied his tiny body into an even smaller ball, pondweed eyes dark with emotions. His mind raged at him. Why hadn't he just attacked Gannetkit and Bearkit? That would have shown them. Stupid pieces of foxdung.. He felt more tears slip down his cheeks and swiped them away ferociously with his small tan forepaws. He blinked tearfully up at Periwinklekit as she approached him again. She wasn't going to go away, was she? "I'm fine," he mewed in a snuffly, stiff voice. "I'm not grumpy!" His voice was slightly stronger as he complained. He blinked at her she chipped into the playfight briefly, before returning to look at him. He sighed. "Look... I'm sorry I told you to shut up, it's just..." His voice was so small it faded into nothingness before he finished his sentence.

gannetkit and my fancy is flying it’s a castle in the sky or there’s nothing out there these are castles in the air
Gannetkit was laughing in triumph as he leapt for Pixiekit. The tom grinned slightly as he pounced. Lady Pixie was no match for Lord Gannet. The elegant tom licked his muzzle with a flourish, when he was interuppted by taps to his manly chest. Frowning, the tom turned to see Loonkit. She chastised him, and the prince didn't like it. "Give it a rest, will you, Lady Loonkit?" he scoffed, pawing the ground. "We were just playin'. Pixiekit don't mind, do ya Pixiekit?" the tom asked triumphantly, a kit-like slur entering his voice. Catching himself, the prince reverted back to his regal ways. "The Lord Gannetkit can do whatever he wants," he smirked, before hearing Periwinklekit. "It's blasphemy, mousebrain!"
Having satisfied his urge for justification and feeling quite proud of himself, the tom started as Rhymekit started pounding on his chest cheerfully. Shooting yet another triumphant glance at Loonkit, as if to say 'hey, people like me', Gannetkit hit Rhymekit lightly on the head, a playful grin in his eyes. "Hello little lady Rhymekit," he mewed happily. But when she started talking about her father, the handsome prince winced. "He'll be fine. He's gotta be. He gotta look out for you an' Pixiekit." __________L O O N K I T Loonkit stared at Gannetkit with a highly-unamused expression, especially when he scorned Periwinklekit. The black and white kitten unsheathed and sheathed her claws wordlessly. "Just be nice," she exhaled, turning away slowly and heading toward Haloheart's litter and Tawnysky's litter. She glared mutely at Bearkit, silently giving him the same treatment as she had done her own brother. She wasn't afraid of her cousin.
The black and white kit padded over to Cootkit. "Sorry about Prince Charming over there. You'll get used to him. He won't be arrogant all the time. He has nice moments when he wants to be," she said softly, sitting down next to the tomkit and smiling a tiny smile. Loonkit reached out and lifted Cootkit's jaw, wiping the faint tear trail away with her other paw.
"You okay?"

cootkit The small tabby blinked his dewy eyes as Rhymekit bounced over to Gannetkit. He couldn't help pouting just a little bit. How come Gannetkit was allowed to be an utter foxhead and still be popular? It wasn't at all fair. He averted his eyes, feeling dubious. He turned his head as he heard another voice. Quiet, and serene. He blinked at Loonkit. He'd thought she was another follower of Gannetkit The Great over there, but it seemed she was not. Usually, he would have wriggled away if another kit comforted him in such a way, but instead he simply looked down and sniffled. "Y-yes." Loonkit's soft voice and gentle touch reminded him of his mother. This sent waves of calm through him, and the tears stopped flowing. He sniffed once, with an air of finality, then looked up to return Loonkit's small smile. rhymekit The grey and white tabby beamed at Gannetkit, her olive eyes like sparkling jewels. She bounced playfully on her paws. "Why hey there, Lord Gannetkit!" she mewed, only half sending him up. His pompousness was quite fun at times. The small she-cat blinked at his sudden change of expression, then gasped, her eyes popping. "Oh, oh, oh! I'm so, so, so sorry Gannetkit! I didn't mean... Well... You know..." She was attempting to apologize for speaking about her father when the young tom had so recently lost his own, in her roundabout way. She poked the ground awkwardly, expression pained.

__________L O O N K I T [settle the score with honor and blood]
Her gentle smile warmed as Cootkit accepted her. The she-kit lowered her nose to the tom's and nuzzled him softly before turning away and looking over at Rhymekit. Loonkit shook her head with a slight roll of the eyes. "My brother," she muttered, chuckling hollowly.
She rolled her shoulders back and sighed, glancing over at the tom. "Alright, Cootkit, I'll be seein' ya. Take care, love." She patted his head and padded over to the nursery, taking one glance at the other kits before disappearing inside and heading toward her nest. She wasn't much for playing when no one asked her out so she'd simply go back to doing nothing, a feat she was wonderful at.

periwinklekit. The she-kit smiled at Cootkit's apology, happy that he wasn't really mad at her. Before her mind could process everything that had happened with Gannetkit and Pixiekit - keeping one ear on the fight and one ear on Cootkit wasn't helping her already-slow brain -, Loonkit was beside her, comforting Cootkit one hundred times better than she could have. Periwinklekit watched, almost dumbfounded, as Loonkit wiped away the toms tears. Before she could say anything more, the black and white she-kit had slipped back into the depths of the nursery.
"Woah," she mewed quietly, her eyes glued to the place where Loonkit had disappeared. "She's really nice! Did'jya see that? She was all 'don't cry,' and then..." Periwinklekit didn't remember to finish her sentance. "Wow..." [/blockquote]

Gannetkit was preening himself, looking quite handsomely around as Loonkit stormed off. Well, it wasn't his problem if his sister really couldn't deal with his noble outlook on life. Gannetkit wasn't a mean kit, but someone had to suffer. A twinkle in his eyes, he turned back to Rhymekit when she brought up the dreaded subject again. His father... Gannetkit's face fell as his heart plummeted into the bowls of his stomach. Why did everyone always assume he was gonna cry or something at the mention of his father? "It's okay," Gannetkit said bravely, puffing up his chest. 'I'm dealing with it," he reassure her, though his voice faltered some. [/blockquote]
