earthpaw xxxxxxxxxxxx The snow had just started when Earthpaw set out on his hunt. With Cardinalspire dead now, he was with out a mentor so he wanted to hunt as much as he could so he could show off to Firestar how much he was improving with out a mentor and maybe he wouldn't need another one. He could become a warrior. Earthpaw believed that becoming a warrior was much more important than a little weather so when the snow started to pick up, he couldn't care less. But now all this snow was chasing the prey into their burrows and Earthpaw was left with empty paws and a heavy heart. He couldn't catch anything in this. He got out of his hunting mode to see that there was no way out. There was too much snow flying around everywhere to see anything. Earthpaw was always a strong brave cat, not worrying about too much, but when he accidently slipped and started tumbling down one of the steeper hills in the field, he panicked. When he hit the ground, his movements made the snow tumble down with him and bury him. He couldn't breathe, the snow was pushing the air out of him and he couldn't suck any more it. It was suffocating him. Before long, Earthpaw was dead and the snow kept coming.

aerialcircle.Snow wasn't going to bother him. Aerialcicle was confident that even if the snowfall got heavier, he'd be fine. He had no idea that Earthpaw was close by until he saw the tan apprentice's frame tumbling down a hill, to be swallowed up by the snow at the bottom. Aerialcirlce stopped, the snow falling harder now, but after countless heartbeats the tom didn't pull himself out. Aerialcircle gasped, a puff of warm air escaping his mouth as he scrambled down another hill towards where he had seen the tom disappear. He caught himself stumbling just in time to stop from sharing the same fate as the apprentice and was surprised to find that the snow reached all the way up to his belly at the foot of the hill... and he wasn't even sure if his paws were touching frozen ground or just a layer of ice - and moreover he didn't know how sturdy that layer might be.
"Earthpaw?" he called, his paws cold as he moved aside snow only for his small hole to be covered with more snow. His stomach gave a sickening lurch as he caught sight of Earthpaw's head. He was obviously dead. Trying hard not to just turn and run away, Aerialcircle grabbed the tom's scruff and pulling him back up the hill until he found a place where the snow was low enough that he could sit and rest and lay Earthpaw's body down. He swallowed hard and looked around, seeing little but white all around him. His voice was a yowl, his fear compressed in his chest so hard that it seemed to choke him like the snow had done to this poor tom. "Help!"

She had to see him. The time, the snow, the danger, it was too much. Apollo had set out to see if Earthpaw was okay, and to tell him the thing she'd feared was coming upon her. She tried so hard to deny it, and yet she knew it was true. She, the lonely herb cat who spent her days healing the sick and wounded in the corner, easily restraining herself from becoming attached should they leave or turn on her, had fallen head over paws for Earthpaw.
The frigid winds whipped mercilessly at her flanks, but she pressed onward, staying atop of the snow by her small, light, wiry frame. And then she saw it. The moment she clapped her green eyes on her beloved he fell through the snow, and sunk, until he was spluttering and choking and suffocated. "NO!" she screamed, horrified. Another tom came and dragged him away, carrying a similar scent to Earthpaw and yet completely different. She figured that he was probably from the MoonClan he always talked about, but she wasn't worried in the slightest about that. The dark brown tabby followed slowly after, keeping her distance. And then the other yelled, and Apollo dragged herself upward. The she-cat collapsed at Earthpaw's side, sobbing into his fur. "No...no...please, Earthpaw...no...I n-never g-g-g-got to s-s-say that I...I l-l-loved you...I n-never g-got t-t-t-to say it..." And she continued on, crying to the world of white.[/blockquote]
