rio The snow was falling thick enough so that no cat would be able to see. Every sensible cat had taken shelter in a den. Any cat who had been caught out of the camp... Well. They were toast. Rio was crouched in a tree, unafraid. The snow streamed down on her, but she never seemed to get too smothered. Her slender body did not shiver with cold. Her indigo eyes were fiercely narrowed. Only determination kept her from freezing to death. The wily rogue flung herself from the tree, sinking up to her stomach in snow. A lesser cat may have panicked, but Rio slitted her eyes through the glare, like her mother had taught her, and wrenched herself out. She landed on the older, more hard-packed snow. Her light frame allowed to walk delicately atop the snow. Despite the raging storm, she pushed onwards. The wind was not so bad now, though every step brought a new coat of snow. She could smell MoonClan, and knew she was in the camp. But no cat would see her. Not today.
She had spied on the camp for days, waiting for an oppurtunity. She had already taken one of Firestar's lives. And now was the perfect time to demolish another. It took her a short time, squinting through the white, to locate Firestar's den. She knew where it was in relation to where she had come into the camp due to her extensive spying. She hurried towards it, and slunk in. Inside, it was warmer, and dry. Snow littered the ground but she could see. And Firestar was there. Nice and quiet, now. It was time to taste blood again.

FIRESTAR
Firestar's breath was deep, and even. She was asleep, unaware of the threat entering her den. Her paws twitched as she dreamt of herself hunting a vole. Her teeth met in its neck fur, and its life was ended. In her mind, she was satisfied. She buried the vole and continued on, only to come face to face with a Starclan cat. "Th-Thornstar!" She gasped, looking at her old leader, and former mate. "What's going on? Why haven't you visited me?" She looked a little hurt, but the tom kept a smile on his face as he spoke, in a deep, husky, trusting voice. "Beware the threat that lurks in the shadows." He touched his nose to her ear, and faded away. She looked around bewildered, but didn't wake, and continued her hunt.
occ;; She hasn't lost her life yet, that was just Thorny telling her to look out for Rio. xD

rio This was perfect! Just too perfect! Firestar has sleeping, unaware that her death was creeping nearer. Rio had no idea how many lives the ginger she-cat had left, but like the last time, she found herself half-hoping this was the last one - as much as she loved the satisfaction of gradually weakening this wretched cat. The startlingly beautiful ochre tabby slunk soundlessly closer to the slumbering she-cat. There she crouched over Firestar. She watched the steady rise and fall of her chest, the beat of the blood in her neck... Her eyelids were shut over those cursed eyes, her mouth clamped shut to cage that devious tongue. Rio unsheathed her claws, though she had no need for them. Her teeth were all she needed. The rogue she-cat leant forwards over Firestar as though to caress her, but instead, ran her nose lightly over the ember-hued she-cat's neck fur. And then, abruptly, she sank in her teeth quickly as a snake.
Rio bit down, tasting the hot blood as it ran into her mouth. She did not let go immediatly; she wanted Firestar to see who had done this to her. The slender she-cat shook her nemesis's head in her powerful teeth, then released her. She stepped back, her mouth drenched in crimson. She made a show of licking her lips clean. Soon, Firestar would either lose a life, or die completely. She would have loved to stick around and wait, but the stench of blood would taint the camp soon. And she suspected the foolishly loyal cats she commanded would try to run to her aid, despite the snowstorm.
So the rogue slipped from the den, out into the blizzard, where she picked her way back to where she had slept the last few nights, disappearing like smoke on the wind.

Firestar
With a quick snap of the jaws, the vole's life was taken. And so was Firestar's. She awoke with a jerk, weakly, as she caught a scent in the air, ad a silver coat leaving her den. She tried to yowl, but the snowstorm blew harder, blocking it, and the stench of blood. She fell back into a dark puddle, a crimsony black tide sweeping over her eyes.
"No, not again." She moaned, awakening. She stood and looked around, realizing it wasn't her den. But she saw familiar faces, and an outline grow stronger. "No!" She gasped, realizing the outline of herself was nearly full. "Have I only one life left?" She whispered. The whole of Starclan replied, "Yes, and use it well." She heard their voices swell, feeling herself fill up with strength. "Thank you." She meowed breathlessly for the strength. "Do not thank us. Just guide Moonclan through this storm and all will be forgiven." Even as those words spoke, the Starclan cats disappeared, leaving her to wake in her den, with the last words ringing in her ear.
She stood up, shakily, and a front paw slipped in something. She sniffed the floor and realized. Blood! It was her own. As she sniffed the air, the scent of Rio hung heavily in her den. She stepped out of her den, onto freshly packed snow, and was only just able to stand on it. As she stepped forward, the snow she was just on cracked and gave way. She raced to the medicine den, and emerged on the inside. Only then did she realize blood was still dripping from her neck wound. "Dancinghare?" She called weakly into the den, collapsing at the entrance.

Dancinghare You had demons to kill within you screaming...The slender medicine cat was sorting through piles of herbs, working out what he was running out of. Many cats had ended up in the medicine den since the snowstorm began, and it seemed as though many more could, and probably would. He lifted his head as he heard pawsteps. He smelt blood, then heard someone call his name.
He hurried to the entrance. "Great Starclan! Firestar!" The usually quiet tom cried. He stepped to her side. "What happened?"He asked anxiously, gently moving her further into the den, out of the cold. He then hurried to get some cobwebs from his store, and began to press them onto the wound on his leader's neck.

Firestar
she murmured thanks as the tom moved her. She looked up at him, and shook her head lightly. "I was asleep, and suddenly, I awoke, but was dead within a second. Starclan came to me, and told me I have one life left. Then I woke up and came here. I think it was Rio again." She added in a horrified whisper. "Dancinghare, have Starclan shown you what will happen with this storm?" She added slowly, remembering what Starclan told her.

Dancinghare You had demons to kill within you screaming...Dancinghare's bright hazel eyes widened at Firestar's words. "Rio?! How did she manage to get into the camp?" The tom asked in quiet but shocked and frightened voice. He couldn't understand how she could have got into camp completely unnoticed by anyone. Then again, she was a sly one...
At Firestar's question the gentle tom looked down at his paws. "No Firestar. They haven't said anything more. I wish they would, I've got a really bad feeling about all this." He replied. He looked up at his leader, eyes wide once more. "Firestar I...I'm scared." He meowed quietly. The tom hardly ever spoke about how he felt, but right now it was too much to hold in; he was really worried for the clan.
