The day had been hard do to pressure and swift searching, from her experience she knew that herbs had to be gathered before leaf-bare. She still wondered when the deadly snow would fall and consume the camp in sickness, but the beginning of the winter was here and the the slightest sign of snow, maybe a little frost but no snow. Emerald green eyes glowed with deep tiredness as she padded into the camp then into the medicine cats den, her small white paws hooked into the ground as she padded toward the herb storage. Her slender dark tabby fur followed easily with the wind as it blew, it was unusual for the wind to be blowing so hard. The fragile looking female curled up in a small ball in her springy mossy nest, there had been no sick, no injured besides a few from the battle with BrightClan. New life had been given to them and her success was starting to get to her head, dark lids slowly closed over her glowing green eyes.
Just when she closed her glowing green eyes white blanked her vision as her dreaming eyes snapped open, no she did not wake but all around her was swift falling white puffs coming down hard and in numbers. Then she saw a flicker of eyes behind the walls of snow, the colour she could not make out but the voice carried to her ears over the roar of the winds. 'Beware, Emeraldpaw, there is danger coming. A danger that will surround you all in blindness.' Emeraldpaw didn't care who the voice was or where she was she just wanted to wake up.
Her emerald eyes snapped open in alarm as she felt the icy cold flakes seeping into her dark pelt, though she was in a small clearing where all the nests were and herbs was covered. She looked around her expecting to find herself back in the windy medicine cats den but what she found terrified her, snow danced quickly onto the dieing grass. Emeraldpaw's heart accelerated as she got to her paws and trotted hurriedly out of the medicine cats den and into the main clearing. The ground was already covered in a thin blanket of snow, she could still see the ground but that didn't make her feel any better. The new medicine cat apprentice and she was alone, right now she wished for Dragonflydance to be alive again so she didn't have to worry about making big mistakes.
