cagedfaith His mind was reeling as he sped through the forest, eye wide open and ears pricked up.
This couldn't be happening. It couldn't. He wasn't in camp when the attacked started. But he had scented something like the putrid scent of dog. His eyes narrowed slightly as he heard the sounds from camp, bounding into the clearing and running into battle. His eyes flashed as he noticed the grey pelt race across his vision. Aerialcircle. Her fraternal instincts took over as he lunged towards the tom, grabbing his neck fur and flinging him away. "Find your brother and make sure he's alright." Cagedfaith ordered before racing back into the fray, clawing at dogs that passed him, eyes searching. Bright eyes moved among the bodies, narrowing in as he came upon a few limp, unmoving cats, breathing out a sigh of releif as he recognized the cat, but also sending a silent pray for them to StarClan.
And then he saw her.
"Chartreusesteps!" He cried, coming to her side.

forestkit xxxxxxxxxxxx Tucked into the back of the nursery, Forestkit lay with his sister, no he was wrapped around his sister, who was cuddling against him. He was yelling for their father, as usual but the warriors around them were scared and protecting the nursery. The smell hurt his nose and mouth just as much as Nymphkit's screams hurt his ears. His cuddled even closer against his white sister as he heard his own mother's battle-cries outside the den. Forestkit had never been this scared before in his life and Sablekit's snappiness and question didn't help. He didn't want to know what was out there. He just wanted it all to be over so Mommy and Daddy could come back inside and tell them that everything was alright. earthpaw xxxxxxxxxxxx For being such a hyper tom, Earthpaw sure was a heavy sleeper. Battle-cries woke him up from a good dream of Apollo, a pretty loner he had been talking to ever so often at the border, but when he did wake up, he realized something was terribly wrong. First the scent was unbearable. It was a scent he had never smelled before and it stung the roof of his mouth to no end. Then he realized Cambrianpaw's nest was empty next to him. His brother was in danger. He burst out of his den and into the clearing filled with dogs. These animals frightened Earthpaw but he didn't let it show. His mentor had just recently died so his training had come to a halt. He was worried he had forgotten how to fight. But right now, he was just set on finding Cambrianpaw. Running through the clearing, the muscular tabby dodged attacks from the dogs easily as he tried to find his brother. He finally did and his brother was with a group of unmoving cats. Tears pricked the edges of his eyelids. "No. He can't be dead..." he whispered softly, the fight around him fading at he stared at his brother's lifeless body.

Crestedfire
Stay here with me together we'll be stronger Side by side we've conquered lands and stormed across the seas If anyone had a say in what was the most horrible noise, it was the screams of a cat about to see Death. They ran out in ballads here in MoonClan. Crestedfire had problems concentrating between fighting the Beta and making sure his mate was alright. The tom turned and saw Tamerlane attempt to crush Spectreflame under her bulk, and he kicked Pango aside in favor of charging down the Doberman Pinscher and biting her ear as the momentum carried him over her back. The dog yelped as her head was yanked aside and she was forced onto her right side.
Crestedfire snarled and took advantage of the dog's weakness on the ground. However, Tamerlane wasn't Alpha female by default. She had taken the position by force; this was just a remake of the battle. The dog grinned and when Crestedfire lunged to bite down on her throat, Tamerlane zoomed upright and snapped down. Amber eyes widened, and the massive ginger tom let out a squeak, his body suddenly going rigid when the Doberman's powerful jaws took hold of the male's own neck. Without waiting, she cracked down, making Crestedfire's head at an odd angle. There was no way in hell he could survive that blow.
Tamerlane and Pango stood up, staring down Spectreflame. The Doberman barked at Pango to round up the remainders of the pack. There was no point in sacrificing more lives. They didn't have enough to take the territory this time. The Doberman spat Crestedfire's blood at Spectreflame's feet. "You aren't even worth killing..." The Doberman ignored the white she-cat and walked away with a slight limp as blood matted her black and tan fur.
Die here with me we feel this pain no longer For now and ever we will be

spectreflame The she-cat struggled, barely able to breathe under the weight of the dog. She shoved and scratched at the flesh, trying to free herself, but to no avail. She gasped in a breath as Crestedfire distracted Tamerlane long enough for her to gain her paws. The warrioress spluttered, her chest feeling bruised and broken. She glanced at the lead dog, her ice blue eyes burning with fury. Her expression changed entirely when she saw what Tamerlane had in her jaws. Crestedfire. "No!" Her scream was cut off as the dog bit down on her mate's neck. No. No. He fell to the ground. His blood was on the grass, on her paws. Spectreflame ran to him. "Crestedfire? Crestedfire?" But nothing would ever wake him again. Spectreflame stared downward. Her breathing grew heavy. Tears beaded in her eyes, As Tamerlane began to walk away, she raised her head. "YOU KILLED HIM YOU PIECE OF FOXDUNG!" This screech echoed around the camp, and Spectreflame threw herself at the dog. She scratched, she bit, she tore at the dog's flesh with every fibre of her being. "Die! Die! DIE!"

tamerlane & pango The Doberman's eyes widened as several pounds of enfuriated mother she-cat collided with her and began clawing at every sinew the dog possessed. Tamerlane's blood began to puddle through the chilled stalks of the plants milling around MoonClan camp.
"TAMERLANE~!" Pango roared, pausing to turn to his leader being ripped at by Spectreflame. However, he had his orders, despite the fact that he hated them. "Dogs, retreat~!" The spotted Pointer riled the dogs up and barked at them to get them going. Tamerlane was too weak to fight back. Her eyes suddenly turned opaque, shaded by death. Pango was now furious. He wouldn't leave her behind. The Beta withdrew from the retreating dogs and charged at Spectreflame. With a bloody snarl, the Pointer tried to tackle her off of the corpse of the Alpha and knit his fangs in her fur to do to the white she-cat what she had done to Tamerlane.

spectreflame Her eyes were slits of pure fury. Her claws were weapons, sharpened for the kill. She didn't seem to care that her own pelt was streaked with blood. She didn't seem to care that several of her claws had snapped and become lodged in Tamerlane's fur. The she-cat felt teeth in her pelt as she was ripped from the dog's back. She lashed out, at fur, eyes, lips and gums. She was blinded by fury. Spectreflame didn't even feel pain. She struggled, kicking out so that her paw caught the dog's eye. The warrioress staggered back, her ice blue eyes shining with determination. Then they glazed, and her legs folded beneath her. Spectreflame keeled over, her legs a tangle, her fur a mess of blood. Her eyes were still open, still blazing. But she was dead. Spectreflame had joined her mate.

Falling in the black___________x x_____________Saintcalling He smirked at Firestar, taunting her all the same before turning around and dipping away like a rabbit to chase down the retreating dogs. He intercepted the dog who had just killed Spectreflame and was now nosing the body of their dead Alpha female. Saintcalling lunged at the spotted Pointer with a snarl, biting into Pango's ear as the creature was still reeling from Spectreflame's dying kick. The Beta had a massive slash through one eye and it was bleeding profusely but he managed to get the better paw on the black and white warrior. Pango lashed out and snapped down at the tom's throat, sending Saintcalling crashing to the ground before diving off into the darkness. They had came like a wave of Death, receding into the black ocean of night until another time.

Spindlespider I just wanna live...Spindlespider watched as the dogs began to retreat. He got to his paws and began to chase after them, hissing furiously. "Yeah you'd better get out of here! Go, go, go!" He yowled at them, hopping up and down. He then stood panting, a trickle of blood streaking down his face from a cut above his eye.
Lostpaw I’ve got to find myself again... Lostpaw scratched feebly at the dog that towered over him. He was about to give up when the dog suddenly left him and ran out of the camp. The mottled brown tom got shakily to his paws, being careful of his left front leg which still dripped blood. They had won. The young tom looked around at the carnage. Yes, they had one, but at a price. "Oh Starclan." He murmured, eyes wide.

sapphireheart Sapphireheart looked desperately at the little Nymphkit, the silver-blue female didn't want to hear the wails that the kit made for her father, her sapphire blue eyes swiftly went to the entrance for a while. Her ears swiveled from the kits to the fight going on outside of the warm nursery, she turned her head back to the kits scared in front of her. The aging she-cat got to her paws when she couldn't hear anything outside, "Stay hear, little ones, I'm going to check on the battle. OK?" Sapphireheart cautiously made her way to the entrance and out to find bodies littering the ground in random places. She searched the clearing for each kits parents, her blue eyes found Darkmagic and Saintcalling, she found Wovenknot still by the entrance, and her eyes watched Crestedfire and Specreflame fight off the two leaders. The silver-blue female almost went to look for her kits and Icefrost's kits, but a soft crack made her attention go back to pair with the remaining dogs. She found Crestedfire limp in the jaws of the leader, her sapphire blue eyes watched in horror as Spectreflame became almost immortal looking as she attacked the beast that killed her mate.
Tears ran down her face as she remembered Nymphkit's wails for her father she was pulled back to the present when Specreflame made her final attack and died of the force she put into her deadly attack. Tears ran down her cheeks as the flicker of another body falling caught her saddened optics, Saintcalling now lay dead by Firestar from the last of the dogs. Sapphireheart's pretty silver-blue head looked like it snapped off her neck and just hung there but she was only alive that made a difference. Her head shot up searching for her kits, she found Abysspaw with Harmonypaw and Topazpaw helping with her great-nephew Wolfpaw, but her eyes searched frantically for Remedypaw, not wanting to imagine her in the same position as Saintcalling, Specreflame, Cloudrings, Raindrop, and many others. abysspaw Abysspaw looked over his sister with concern deep in his aquamarine eyes, "Are you hurt, sister?" The gray-blue male relaxed when he didn't see anything, the adrenaline in his blood finally going down and exhaustion taking it's place. He leaned against Harmonypaw with his eye-lids drooping, but he made sure the side that had a gash in it wasn't touching anything. His tired eyes found his mother with tears streaming down her face, he pushed himself off of his sister and staggered over to Sapphireheart. Abysspaw leaned his head against his mothers chest he could scent the kits in the nursery and on the she-cats pelt, he knew she had been protecting them. The gray-blue male had seen some of the kits parents dead on the ground when he had walked over to his mother, he knew why Sapphireheart had been crying now. He also knew that his mother thought of every cat in the clan as her own and she was also sad to see so many dead. His aquamarine eyes rested upon his dead mentor in sorrow, he knew no one could replace Specreflame but to know that both of Nymphkit, Forestkit, and Hornetkit's parents were slaughtered on the ground almost started to make him cry as well.

HEATHERPAW.

She barely landed on her paws when the dog fled. Heatherpaw stumbled before crumpling into a heap. Pain was scarce, only afflicting her in lightly on her flank. A trickle of blood fell from an open wound. But she was absolutely exhausted. The she-cat had hardly been prepared for a fight. "I'm...I'm okay..." she mewed hoarsely. Her blue eyes turned to Marblepaw, watching as Geckopaw nudged him into the ferns. That was Geckopaw, always thinking. "Good...idea..." The black-pelted she-cat was breathless. She stared up at the gray-furred tom, struggling to lift herself onto all fours. She was unsuccessful; a sharp, burning pain shot through her hindleg and caught her off guard and she was back down to the ground. Turning her head to inspect it, she noticed that it was deformed and crooked. It was broken, probably. "I'm okay..." she mewed again, although she wasn't so sure if she even believed herself.[/blockquote]

paprikaleaf The she-cat's thick, fluffy cream pelt was torn in places, and one ear was bleeding profusely. She stood at the edge of the fight, her chest heaving. Her light green eyes were round as the moon. She had seen what had just happened to Spectreflame and Crestedfire. And as she watched, Saintcalling fell, too. The she-cat got to her paws, fury rising in her chest. She stared at Pango. He looked weak. She threw herself at the dog, claws unsheathed. Paprikaleaf dodged and feinted, jabbing at the dog with her claws. She could see that one eye was injured - courtosy of Spectreflame - and was using it to her advantage. With this dog gone, the others would follow. It seemed to hold authority, now that the lead dog was dead.

<{Harmonypaw}> The medicine cat apprentice yowled in triumph as the dogs retreated to the forest. The battle was won and the dogs were gone. MoonClan was safe. But the bloody stench that was around them told her that she and Dancinghare had much to do. She looked over at Marblepaw who had been knocked to the ground and looked over his body. He was alive. Unconscious, but alive.
She turned her head as Emeraldtalon came up to her, telling her that Dawntale was injured. Her head was spinning from everything but she forced herself to think and give out commands. "Bring her here and I'll look over her." She turned to look at her brother and touched noses with him. "I'm fine, brother. I need you to bring Marblepaw to that bed over their." She pointed with her tail at it then turned to Heatherpaw. "Heatherpaw, I need you to see who's injured and make sure they come see me, the worst come first."
Finally she bolted into the medicine cat herb store to grab a few of the herbs.
Ooc:// Who all is injured other then Dawntale and Marblepaw, what are the injures, and is anyone going to die from them?

Darkmagic The black and white she-cat snarled as the dog suddenly leapt off of her and started to bolt away. As she looked around her the devestation was almost unbearable. Crestedfire and Spectreflame both lay dead. She felt tears fill her eyes as she thought of their children and vowed that she would look after them.
Suddenly she saw a streak of black and white. He was rushing at it, rushing at the dog. "Saintcalling no!" she screeched but it was too late. Time seemed to slow to almost a halt as Saintcalling crashed to the ground, his neck oozing freshly spilt blood. "No!" Darkmagic screamed, racing at her mate and tumbling down beside him, tears spilling down her cheeks and onto her mates pelt as she sobbed. Both the toms she loved, Shadowprowler and Saintcalling, they were both gone. How could she live without them? Smokekit&&Honeykit Both the kits stood up as Sapphireheart moved away. The battle must be finished, as it was quiet outside. That was until they heard the scream.
Smokekit immediately recognised her mother's voice and at the sound of her mother's name she tore outside. The sight before her made her head reel and gagging she looked frantically for her mother, eyes travelling over Crestedfire and Spectreflames bodies. Finally she saw her and ran to her, eyes wide. "Mummy? Mummy whats wrong? Whats wrong witjh Daddy? Why isn't he making noise? Tell me NOW!" she ordered, her fiery temper getting the better of her as her mother didn't reply. Obviosuly she was inconsoleble.
Honeykit scampered outside after Smokekit and screamed as she saw the bodies lying everywhere and as the sickening stench of blood hit her nostrils. "Mummy where are, what happening, why is everyone still, why is their red goo everywhere, why is everyone sad, somebody tell me please!" she gabbled, eyes brimming with tears as sheer terror made her shake from head to foot. Firestar
Firestar's eyes shot a glare at Saintcalling as he meowed at her. But she spoke not a word. But before she could spring on another dog, they seemed to dissolve like mist, retreating from her camp.
She knew she should feel joy, but it felt wrong. Something wasn't right. The birds weren't twittering, the clouds seemed to have stopped moving. She looked around and noticed for once the bodies that covered the ground. Without having to think, she knew Moonclan had lost many cats. She leaped onto the Raven's Ledge, ignoring her pain, and hollered out to her clan. But it wasn't necessary, as all the cats were already out in the clearing. "Moonclan," Her voice came out ragged-like. "Look round, we haven't won. We've suffered a huge blow. There are bodies littering the ground. Look, there's Spectreflame and Crestedfire... And Cambrianpaw.." She ticked off a few. "I need a patrol of warriors to look for more wounded or dead. Who knows if there was a patrol out?" She broke off and coughed. The dog that she had fought caught her around the ribs and threw her across the clearing, breaking several ribs. But she needed to talk to her clan. "Moonclan, we must honour these warriors, and share our grief. Dancinghare, Harmonypaw, you will be busy tonight. Those not too injured, we also need a hunting patrol." She nodded to her clan and half leaped, half slithered off the Raven's Ledge, and sat down in the shadows, her shoulders hunched. If only she was a better leader, she could have saved these cats' lives. But no, hey had lost so many.
But she forced herself to stand up and walk around, to assess the damage. Many walls were ripped, she noted. And there were many wounded as well. They needed help. She noticed that many of the bodies littering the ground weren't moving. She shook her head, grief overwhelming her. She had to stop, and ended up beside Spectreflame's body. She bent her head and touched her nose to the she-cat's pelt. "We never got along, but you were a loyal warrior, and will be honoured in Starclan." Her next step brought her to Crestedfire's side. She bent her head down and touched her nose to the tom's cooling pelt. "You were an amazing warrior, you will be honoured in Starclan." She repeated this to each dead warrior, before looking up at Starclan and meowed quietly, "Recieve them with honour, Starclan. They deserve it." She then sat down with her head bowed, signalling defeat.

forestkit xxxxxxxxxxxx Sapphireheart left the nursery to check up on things but Forestkit knew that she wouldn't leave the nursery unattended if there was really any more dangers. Smokekit and Honeykit must of figured this out, too since they were already trailing on behind out of their safe enclosed den. The battle-cries were over, now only weeps and cries in pain or sadness reached Forestkit's ears and these hurt more then the battle-cries. He waited patiently for a bit, still holding Nymphkit close but seeing as though his mother and father weren't coming in to check on them, he wondered if they were alright. The light colored tabby moved away from his sister, shook the moss away from his pelt and padded toward the entrance and out into the sunlight. The sights around him were so horrible... There was blood and tears and fur everywhere. Everyone was sad. He wondered why they were sad but there was no one to ask. He couldn't find his mother or father... Until he saw the group of bodies. He immediately recognized two bloody cats, one ginger and the other white, laying torn and motionless. "Mommy...? Daddy...?" he mewed softly, as he began to move toward him. His slow walk turned into a dashing run until he reached the bodies. "Wake up, Daddy! Wake up, Mommy!" But they would never wake. Tears fell from his bright blue eyes as he climbed over is mother and curled up in between them, their blood coating his pure fur. If their were no tiny sobs, you wouldn't guess that he was even there.

chartreusesteps."Caigedfaith... wait," she panted, trying to catch her beath, her green eyes wide. She wasn't in good shape, her fur was tattered and stained with blood, one hind leg hung at an odd angle and her breathing had turned into helpless rasps. But she couldn't give in now: she had faught valiantly, like a warrior should, and she wasn't going to surrender to her injuries like the dogs had surrendered to MoonClan. She found herself kneeling; but wait, hadn't she been standing a moment before? Or had she fallen down? The world spun around her but she kept her vision locked on one cat, and the words were on the tip of her tongue, the words he needed to know right now, the words she needed to hear herself say...
... But before she could say those three words, something else crossed her mind, something completely different but just as dear to her. With the last of her breath, she wheezed, "Emeraldtalon... is... Emeraldtalon... okay?" Then she collapsed, her eyes glazed over as she fell unconcious.
ooc: She's not dead, but she's pretty close to it. (and I don't want her to die, by the way)

Icefrost
Icefrost watched her old mentors death. Her eyes widened in horror as his neck was snapped, a tear fell down her cheek as she then watched Spectreflame die. Those two shouldn't have taken death! It wasn't right. She wtched as the kits came out of the nursery, and her heart ached for them. Just the thought of kits having to see their parents dead. Icefrost bowed her silver head, and she let the tears fall for the dead.
Firepaw
Firepaw ran over to where her mother was, her eyes were full of horror of the dead bodies on the ground. Her eyes widened at how much blood had been spilt today. Firepaw pressed her amber fur up against her mothers shoulder.
Topazpaw
Topazpaw limped over to Abysspaw and their mother. On his way over he saw Harmonypaw, but just limped passed trying to get to his mother and brother. When he finally got there he spoke. 'Are you ok? I watched you make that one beast run off. But his voice wasn't of pride, it was of sorrrow. He knew how his mother feels about the whole clan. Seeing all these dead warrior must be very hard for her. Topazpaw looked up at his mother, not saying a word.[/sup]

Leaves dangle, Black from the fire. Like my love, It’ll always be a desire.
Scorchedleaf Scorchedleaf looked up at the cat who had helped him. 'Thanks, Robinsong! Yeah, I'm fine.' He looked to the dog that she was eying. Then he noticed her cuts. 'Robinsong! You're bleeding like crazy!' He was going to day more, but then the dog took off, away from the camp. Firestar was up talking to the clan. Scorchedleaf looked around; Cloudrings, Cambrainpaw, Spectreflame, Saintcalling, Crestedfire.... How many more had they lost? Scorchedleaf wanted to yowl his miseries to the sky, but he stayed silent. Instead, he looked at Robinsong. 'Thank you so much for your help. Come, let's get you patched up.' He stayed next to her as they went to the Medicine cat's den to get patched up. [/sup][/blockquote]

dawntale The black and white she-cat hobbled after her mate, her mouth a straight line of pain. But she was distracted as a dog loomed near her, Crestedfire in it's jaws. She shut her eyes, but she had no way of blocking out the sickening crunch that came with death. The warrioress began to sob, stumbling after Emeraldtalon. It was pain and sheer shock that made her tears fall. The black and white cat stood shuddering, leant against her mate, near Harmonypaw. Wherever she looked, there were bodies. There was nowhere to run, to get away from the stink of blood. The she-cat sank to the grass, burying her head in her paws, and began to moan. ravenclaw && pearlblade Ravenclaw hissed and spat as she slashed at dog's faces. Her ice blue eyes were narrowed and deadly. But all of a sudden, the beasts began to disperse, until only a few remained. These glanced around, then disappeared into the trees with high-pitched yelps. The only dog left to rot in the camp was the collasol body of Tamerlane. Ravenclaw felt something press against her and turned to see her mother's tiny, frail body beside her. "Is it over?" Her voice was merely a croak. Ravenclaw nodded sadly - her mother's sight and hearing were not what they used to be. "Yes, Mother. It is over." She could see Orochiclaw and Frostwing, injured but not fatally. Relief settled over her. She could pick out Salmonpaw and Geckopaw, her two sons, who had been fighting. They looked bedraggled and exhausted, and half of Geckopaw's face was painfully swollen. Terrible sobs wrenched her away from relief. She watched as kits poured from the nursery. Wovenknot caught hold of her own three kits, keeping them pressed against her warm chest. Ravenclaw watched as her sister's three ran to an area of carnage. Her jaw dropped. No. No, it couldn't be. Not Spectreflame. Ravenclaw ran, pushing cats out of the way, shoving Lostpaw and Abysspaw aside. The she-cat collapsed beside her older sister's body, feeling the tiny paws of her niece's and nephew pressing into her pelt. "No..." geckopaw The slate grey tom peered around at the mess. One of his eyes was swollen shut, and he could see only a foggy haze. The young tom turned back to face Heatherpaw as she spoke to him. He could see that, no matter what she might say, she was not fine. Her leg was broken. The tom smiled. He was not the sort to be disgusted by a broken leg. Geckopaw padded to the she-cat and pressed against her, helping her to her paws with his strong shoulders. He then led her over to Harmonypaw, where the other injured were gathering. He knew the apprentice had more fatal casualties to deal with. He narrowed his eyes as he spotted the raven-coloured pelt of his mother darting across the camp. His sea green eyes glistened as he noticed what she was running towards. Spectreflame. His aunt was dead. And her mate, too. His tail drooped, and his ears flattened. nymphkit The tiny white kit got to her paws as Forestkit ran from the nursery like a feline bullet. The small cat followed him, her azure eyes huge in her peaky little face. She wrinkled her nose at the stink of blood. "Daddy! Daddy!" She waited. Then a sulky look clouded her features. "Daddy! I want you, now!" She stamped one miniscule paw, then spotted Forestkit. She ran to him. "Forestkit, Daddy is ignoring me!" She then spotted her mother's body, and prodded it. "Mumma! Mumma, wake up! Cos Daddy's ignoring me!" The kit then spotted Crestedfire's body. She leapt on it. "Daddy! It smells bad and everyone's crying and stuff, and I don't understand. Will you tell me, Daddy?" The kit frowned as the cat below her paws did not respond. "Daddy? D-Daddy? Why are you ignoring me? You never ignore me!" The kit slumped down and began to wail.

Robinsong Her ginger fur had been matted with blood in various places from the battle with the dog. The worst of her cut were around her paws, and one paws was fairly torn. She gave her paw a quick like. Her soft eyes gazing around all of the camp. She gave a quick sign. When she heard Scorchedleaf suggested seeing the Medicine Cat and her apprentice, she was hesitant. There could have been others worse off than she. Her soft gaze drifted to the tom. "It's all right, there is really no need." her eyes appeared gentile, but a furious glint flashed in them seeing the two dead parents. Their kits were around them, wailing. Ther anger in her eyes turned to sensarity and she looked back to Scorchedleaf. She stood up, flicking her tail for him to follow. She would wait until everyone was saught to before she would seek medical attention herself. She saw the two fraile kits, Forestkit and Nymphkit. She looked back to be sure Scorchedleaf was stiil coming and padded over to the two. Their wails were a sound she thought of a unbearable to hear. She left a small trail of blood behind her from her wounds. She sat down beside the kits. "Shhh, darlings." she cooed gentily, though losing both parents would be hard to bere. She gave each of the kits a comforting lick to the ear, She glanced over at Scorchedleaf again before looking down at the kits.

cagedfaith His eyes were wide as he watched her kneel down, his head lowering down, nudging her shoulder with his nose, ears pricked up at the sound of her quiet voice. Cagedfaith lowered his body down beside Chartreusesteps, his eyes skimming over he body, cringing slightly as he noticed the hind limb that hung awkwardly. His eyes flashed back to her face as she spoke quietly, a small, knowing smile spread across the tom's face as he lowered his down, whispering softly in her ear.
"He's safe, Chartreusesteps. Emeraldtalon is safe" He murmured gently, licking her ear softly as he did so. If anyone had seen what the tom was doing, they would have thought he was possessed. "I'm sorry I wasn't here earlier. I could have told you this while you were conscious." Still with a soft voice, he lowered his head, burring his muzzle into her neck fur before moving back to whisper three words that the dark brown colored tom never thought he would say.
"I love you"

HEATHERPAW.

Heatherpaw looked gratefully up to Geckopaw as he came to assist her. She smiled, happy he cared enough to help her. But her eyes shone with sadness for the others whose lives had been mercilessly ripped away from them. Cambrianpaw, Raindrop, Saintcalling, and...and...Spectreflame and Crestedfire? The black she-cat looked up to her gray-pelted friend to see him watching in sorrow as his mother dashed for his aunt and uncle. "Geckopaw..." she mewed. "I'm...I'm so sorry..."
OOC;; omg, that was so made of fail.[/blockquote]

geckopaw The young tom looked up as Heatherpaw spoke to him. He smiled a half-smile at the other apprentice. "These things happen," he mewed. It wasn't himself he was sad for. It was his mother, and Spectreflame's three tiny kits. He hadn't really known the she-cat that well. The tom could see Darkmagic, leant over the black and white body of Saintcalling. He sighed. So much death. Geckopaw pressed up against Heatherpaw, as much to comfort himself as to comfort the injured she-cat. His face was so swollen by now that he found it inpossible to talk. So instead he just smiled painfully at the she-cat. It seemed that a bond had grown between them, in the short space of time that the battle had panned out for. nymphkit Nymphkiy squinted angrily up at Robinsong. "D-don't tell me to ssh!" she wailed. "Only Mummy tells me to ssh." The kit poked and prodded at Crestedfire's body, tears beading in her eyes. She had no experience of death in her short life. "Daddy, wake up! Please!" I don't care if you tell me off or anything, just wake up! P-please!" She continued to nudge at her father's limp body, determined to wake him from the everlasting sleep he had fallen into.

The coldness of your green eyes Tell me a story of sorrow. The gentleness of your tone, Tells me something different.
Emeraldtalon
Emeraldtalon sunk down with Dawntale as she began to moan. He licked her head as she moaned. 'Shh, you'll be okay. You'll be fine.' He looked up and saw his former mentor and his as-good-as father. He looked back down at Dawntale. 'I'll be right back, okay?' He got up and reluctantly left his mate. He got to Cagedfaith and Chartreusesteps. He noticed her leg. 'Chartreusesteps! Are you okay?!' He cried out. He looked at Cagedfaith, then realized that he had intruded on a private oment. He started to back away. 'I'm glad you two survived.' He sent them a smile, then darted away. On his way back to Dawntale, he almost tripped over a body. It was Saintcalling. 'No, not you. Why does it have to be you who dies?! No!' Angry tears threatened to fall down his face as he stared at the limp bundle of fur that had been his enemy. He bent down and gave the pelt a lick, then padded over to Dawntale. He laid down next to her and put his head on his paws.
***
I want to be me, I want it to come. I don't want to be something I'm not, That would make me a liar.
Sapphirepaw He lifted his head up as his mother came. 'Hi,' He mewed. 'Did you see me fight?' He asked her proudly. Then he saw where she was looking. He stretched up and nuzzled her shoulder. Hesaw Firepaw come over. He got up and went to his mother's other side. 'We're okay, and they'll be okay. You need to trust that.' The little cat mewed, trying to comfort his mother. *** I know I can be grumpy, I know I can be proud. But overall, I know that I can be who I need to be. Salmonpaw Salmonpaw watched as the dogs left the camp. He chased after them as far as the camp entrance. Then, he turned around and noticed his mother racing across the camp. Scared, he followed her. He noticed who she was over with. His aunt. He wanted to let out a caterwaul. He knew that there was alot of death. Instead of looking around, though, he raced for his mother and buried his face into her pelt. He felt so bad for her. 'Oh, I'm so sorry!' His muffled mew came out to his mother. *** Leaves dangle, Black from the fire. Like my love, It’ll always be a desire.
Scorchedleaf Scorchedleaf saw Robinsong leave him. He followed her, hoping to get her to the Medicine den. Then, he noticed that she was going to comfort the kits. Not really knowing why he was going with her, he followed her. He looked down at Nymphkit. 'Oh, Nymphkit. I am so sorry.' He looked back up at Robinsong, then down at Nymphkit. 'Nymphkit, Crestedfire isn't gonna wake up. I'm sorry, buddy.' The tom felt his heart break as he told the little kit. He didn't want to tell him, but he didn't want him to find out from another cat yowling it out. He felt that it was best for te kit to find out quietly. *** I don't want to put you down, I don't want to make you hurt. I will always follow you, And I will always protect you. Dovefeathers The she-cat finished fighting off the dog. Then they were gone. The dogs had left, with their leader lying broken next to... next to Spectreflame. 'No....' She looked around and saw all of the devastation. Her eyes sought out the one corpse. She bolted over to her apprentice. She sat down and looked down at the poor tom. 'I'm so sorry, Cambrianpaw. I could've saved you. Oh, Cambrianpaw!' A sob escaped the femme. She fell into shock. Suddenly, she got up. She padded over to Firestar. 'I- I can lead the patrol.' She kept her shaking voice under control as shock tried to enclose her. She needed to get out of the camp. 'Please, Firestar, let me lead it. I need to leave.' She mewed, more desperately. ravenclaw Ravenclaw pressed her nose into her sister's chilling fur, her ice blue eyes dripping tears onto her dirty pelt. The young warrioress gasped as Salmonpaw appeared beside her. She pressed against her ginger-pelted kit, licking him between the ears. With a shaky breath, the longhaired she-cat padded back to her mother. "M... Mother? Come with me." She propped up the frail she-cat with her strong shoulder and helped her towards where Spectreflame's body lay. This would break their mother's heart, but she had to find out sooner or later. "Mothjer, I'm s-so sorry... Sp-Spectreflame's d-dead. And Crestedfire." With that she hung her head and prepared for the elderly cat's misery to hit her like a released tidalwave. pearlblade Panic thudded in the old cat's heart as her daughter raced away from her. The pale tortoiseshell elder shuddered like a leaf in a high wind. Pearlblade could hear wailing and sobbing. How many had they lost? The she-cat scented Ravenclaw before she saw her. She narrowed her misty ice blue eyes and her daughter's face came into sharper focus. "What is it?" Her voice was a rasping croak. She obediently followed her daughter, her paws still slipping and sliding despite Ravenclaw's help. She froze as the black she-cat spoke. Then she made out the shape in the grass. Spectreflame. Her daughter. A thin wail escaped her throat, before she collapsed onto her oldest kit's bloodied body. dawntale Dawntale nodded weakly as her mate padded away. She didn't get up, though. Her paw was throbbing, and she had no heart left in her to do so. The she-cat's midnight blue eyes widened as she recognized the bundle of ink and snow that Emeraldtalon was stoos by. Saintcalling. Her former mentor was dead. Two tears slid down her cheeks. Not him, too. Why was StarClan doing this to them? What had they done so wrong to deserve this? When her mate returned, she leant against him, her eyes shut, drawing comfort from the warmth and scent of his pelt. nymphkit The small kit's face screwed up as Scorchedleaf spoke to her. "Why are you sorry?" Her screech was desperate. What the hell was the matter with her daddy? Why wouldn't he wake up? She turned and started prodding her mother's body as well. But she was the same. Tears slipped down her thin cheeks. Nymphkit whipped around and started to scream at Scorchedleaf. "Shut up and leave me alone you big old MEANIE!" She looked at Crestedfire's body one more time, then ran at Scorchedleaf, burying herself in his chest fur with a loud, tearing wail.

Scorchedleaf At first Scorchedleaf was appalled at the kit. Then, when Nymphkit ran at him, his fatherly instinct took over. He held Nymphkit close, letting her cry. He silently licked the top of her head as she cried. He pulled her away from his fur, looking at her straight in her eyes. 'Nymphkit, I promise you - promise you, that I will take care of you and your siblings. You guys shouldn't have had this happen.' Without another word, he put his tail over her shoulders. Even though this tore at his heart, he still didn't stop making sure that the little kit was okay. It reminded him, painfully, of his lost daughter, Sorrowfrost. He still missed her, and Nymphkit reminded him of her. [/sup][/blockquote]

Orochiclaw
As he observed the clearing, Orochiclaw noticed his kits were alright. He saw Ravenclaw with Pearlblade, and smiled, knowing the pair were okay. But his smile dissolved like the morning dew when he saw Ravenclaw take off to a bloody body. He followed her there, pelting across the clearing and coming at a rest at her shoulder. "No... She shouldn't have gone like this." He pressed himself against Ravenclaw to give her comfort, and shook his head. It wasn't fair. "Pearlblade...." He murmured. "she was a gifted and loyal warrior, Starclan will honour her." He murmured, before licking her ear comfortingly. He noticed Sunrisepaw pelting over and pressing his nose into Spectreflame's pelt, silent tears flowing from his eyes. He realized that this was his childrens' aunt, and they would be shaken as well. He was, too, but he stayed still while letting his mate be comforted somewhat by his presence there beside her.

Darkmagic Darkmagic raised her head as she heard a little voice next to her, so very angry. She felt her stomach twist as she raised her head and saw Smokekit, she reminded her so much of Shadowprowler. And then Viridiankit and Sinisterkit, they looked so much like Saintcalling. She shut her eyes, tears still managing to slide from under the closed lids. "Come on sweetie. Lets go back inside" she said, before burying her head in Saintcallings pelt for one last goodbye. StarClan receive you well honey. I'll miss you and I'll always love you she sent to him, before turning away, bringing Smokekit back to the nursery with her. She lay down in her bed, not looking at either of her other children. It hurt too much so she closed her eyes again, moaning quietly under her breath. How would she cope? Roseglade The light orange she-cat padded looked around anxiously as the dogs left, her eyes filling with tears as she saw all the bodies of the dead cats. But still, she could not see him. A shout from the corner of the camo caught her attention and there he was, leaping about as usual, no worse for wear. She exhaled a sigh of relief before running to the grey cat, tears spilling from her eyes. "Spindlespider! Thank heavens you're alright!" she gasped, before burying her face in his side and letting the tears fall. So many had died, so many would suffer. It just wasn't fair! Smokekit The kitten shook as her mother looked at her, terrified as she saw the pain in Darkmagic's eyes. She stumbled back to the nursery with her mother, watching as the black and white she-cat lay down, her eyes closed, a low groaning sound coming from inside her. She looked at her brothers, tears filling her eyes. She was terrified. "What's wrong mummy? You still haven't told me" she whispered, her voice cracking as the tears began to spill. Honeykit As nobody answered the little mixed-brown she-cat questions she began to wail, leaping up and running outside. "Mummy! Mummy where are you?!" she sobbed, tripping over the dead bodies as she ran around camp. She suddnely skidded on a pool of blood, falling face first in it and skidding into Emeraldtalon. She looked up at him, terrified, tears coursing down her cheeks, making tracks throughb the blood that she was now covered in. "Please tell me where Mummy is. I'm scared" she sobbed, burying her face in her paws, her tiny frame shuddering as she cried and cried. [/sub]

ravenclaw The coal-coloured she-cat watched as her mother mourned Spectreflame and her mate. Her ice blue eyes swam with sadness. But she knew that lingering on her misery would only make her ill. There were things to be done. Her sister's kits had lost both parents suddenly. She pulled Forestkit against her chest, licking the small tom between the ears. Who would nurse the kits now? She looked around for Nymphkit but saw the tiny white she-cat pressed against Scorchedleaf's chest, howling. Ravenclaw buried her nose in her nephew's warm fur, breathing in his scent. It had an element of Spectreflame in it, which caused a tear to roll down her cheek. wovenknot Wovenknot lifted her head, her light blue eyes still enraged, fiery with battle anger. But the dogs were gone. She exhaled, her tail dropping. The steel-coloured tabby pushed her head into the nursery, glad to see Sablekit and Valleykit huddled with the rest of the kits. But Honeykit and Spectreflame's litter were missing. The threelegged queen ducked out of the nursery, eyes wild. Where was her daughter? She noticed a little brown-thatched kit beside Emeraldtalon. With a gasp of relief she darted to her ditzy kit and seized her, holding her against her chest. "Oh, you silly kit. I thought something had happened to you." She gave her daughter a lick between the ears, then bundled her into the nursery. She then noticed Spectreflame's three kits, wailing and sobbing. She spotted Spectreflame and Crestedfire's bodies. She padded over, head bowed. She wanted to say goodbye to her friends, but she didn't want to intrude on the family's grief. "Goodbye, my friends," she whispered. She felt a pang. She and Spectreflame had been the best of friends, many moons ago. pearlblade The elderly tortoiseshell's frail frame shuddered and shook as she sobbed. Pearlblade could hear all the condolences, but they meant nothing to her. The old she-cat lifted her head as Orochiclaw padded towards her. "She was still young! She had her whole life ahead of her. She had kits, and a mate! A-and..." The she-cat wheezed violently, her grief turning into physical pain. The pale-pelted cat slumped over her daughter's body, her thin pelt brushing Sunrisepaw's.
