echowhisper !!
Echowhisper couldn't take it the camp anymore.
The camp had exploded as warrior after warrior had been named. Echowhisper had mentored Lycorispaw for a moon or so, but it was pretty pointless, because she had already known about everything she needed to know. They just went hunting and trained sometimes and she did her apprentice duties. She was difficult, but the super-quiet warrioress dealt with her as best as she could. Echowhisper couldn't take all the noise. She didn't even stay for Lycorispaw's own ceremony, so she wasn't sure what her new name was.
She ran all the way to the Shaded Clearing. She took comfort in the shadow and lay down below one of the dark trees. She wondered how long she could stay away before she was missed. Hopefully a while. She stared up at the colorful leaves for a while, before she dozed off.

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch Taking a step forward from the shadows, a smile was plastered on the muzzle of the large tom. His tail was pricked behind him, the tip twitching every few feet. Lynxbreak's eyes flicked up as he heard the faint sound of breathing near him, and the warrior readied himself for a little tussle. "Show yourself!" He yowled, inching himself closer to the dusty ground. Both ears ontop his head flicked forward, then back, hearing no reply from his demand. 'Who's being a coward?' He asked himself, standing regularly, then in his battle stance.
Not knowing who or what lurked in the shadows that shrouded his large being, the Coon stepped forward, twigs bending and threatening to break under his weight. The sounds of the clearing was enhanced, the bone-chilling caws of the crows reverberating off the hallow oak trees. The air wasn't all that cold, but Lynxbreak could see his breath cloud in front of his face. "Why must it be so chilly now?" The feline asked out loud, not knowing if anyone would answer him or not. Finally stepping from the tangle of veins and roots, he could see again.
Echowhisper was seen, and from what he could see, she probably wanted to be alone. Sighing, the tom sat down, the leaves crunching from his furry behind being placed upon them. Clearing his throat, the Maine Coon wondered if this she-cat had anyone in her life, not really talking to her, but was always caught gazing at only her when she was within eyeing distance of himself. 'Stop thinking about her!' He snapped, shaking his head. His paws pushed out, causing him to lay on his stomach.
His liquidy amber eyes stayed locked on her form, and he smiled. She was just one of the few cats he'd watched, but not like he did with only her. She was a captavating soul, one that could make all heads turn, and have all eyes turned on her. An iditioc smile formed on his muzzle, still thinking of this she-cat, even though his mind roared at him to stop. Flicking his tail, Lynxbreak sighed, and his eyes fluttered shut. The smile was still on his face, and it widened, as if Echowhisper was nuzzling his flank.

echowhisper !!
Echowhisper had been sleeping for a short while when she woke up suddenly. Her eyelids flew up, and she sat up. Her eyes found a tom who had appeared out of nowhere. She practically jumped out of her skin and scooted back into the bark of the tree. She winced and tried to hide her pain.
She knew she couldn't just not talk to him. She had wanted some alone time, but she wasn't one to be impolite. Hello, She called to him. Her voice quivered a little. He was staring at her in the funniest way with his amber eyes. She felt as if someone had ripped her pelt off and had exposed her very thoughts. Her soul felt bare. She shivered and curled up, but kept her eyes trained on the tom. She wasn't sure if he could be trusted, even if he was from her clan. What's your name? I can't seem to remember.[/blockquote]

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! "I am Lynxbreak," he had said, standing up. With a quick shake of his thin frame, Lynxbreak freed his pelt of the twigs and other debris that had clung to his underbelly. A sigh was, at last, emitted, as the paws pulled the warrior closer to the she-cat. His eyes twinkled with each step, but when the tom stopped, his eyes fell dull. 'She thinks you are a creep, Lynx!' His mind screamed, and the Coon shook his head.
"Quiet!" He hissed to himself, hoping that Echowhisper didn't think that he was some crazy cat. Looking at the ground, he blushed, and couldn't look back up. Sunlight seeped through the tangle of vines and leaves, beating down on the back of the she-cat, making her seem much more beautiful then normal. The rays shimmered off of Lynxbreak's vibrant tri-colored pelt, creating tiny little rainbows on the trees that surrounded them.

echowhisper !!
Echowhisper's eyes widened when he finally spoke. Lynxbreak. The name sounded familiar. Yes, he was a Brightclan warrior. But, for some reason, she couldn't think of him as one. He was something else to her, a something else she couldn't quite think of...
Her thoughts shattered when he let out a hiss. She focused on him, curious. Hissing... at himself? What's up with him? And had he been that close...? She saw him blush, and she immediately felt bad. He's probably not too bad... Why not try to be friends? The shy part of her, which took up a majority of her, recoiled at the thought, but the tiny sliver of courage in her decided it was time to shine through. She would reach out to him.
Echowhisper struggled to find a conversation starter. So... did you come out here to escape those dreadful meetings? That's what I did. I hate them so much. She closed her eyes for a moment, to pause. She could feel the Winter sun warming her back. She shrugged her shoulders and purred.

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! "Indeed, I have," He said, bringing his paw to his mouth. The bright pinkness of his tongue flashed over his raised appendage. 'Why not be friends with her, young tom?' He asked himself, sitting down, looking at her with those rich amber eyes. Behind him, his wide tail flicked, and leaves rose in a flurry. Lynxbreak meowed in delight, though his gaze never left Echowhisper. 'Was it bad that he was taking so much time out of his day just to think of this particular she-cat?' Hunched shoulders rose, then fell, in an obvious shrug.
"Why exactly do you not go to the meetings, miss ... " His voiced trailed off, giving Echowhisper the hint that he did not know her name, but was wishing that he did. Another robin chirped above them, though, it stayed put, and a feather fluttered down, landing near Echowhisper.
{ ooc _____ .x! } |sigh| That was still made of fail. I'm losing my touch, dear Lonely.

Echowhisper nodded at his first response. At last, someone who hated those things like she did...
Echowhisper blushed at his second. She hadn't even introduced herself yet! How rude of you. You should be ashamed. And ashamed she was. I'm so sorry, I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Echowhisper, daughter of Ghostlystar, ecetera, ecetera. She rolled her eyes. I don't go to meetings because... There are too many cats around me, talking, laughing, being excited... She shook her narrow head. Too many things going on at once. And it's not like anyone minds that I'm gone. She snorted bitterly. She looked past Lynxbreak, and watched the dead leaves settle back on the ground after being stirred up by the tom's tail. What about you? How come you don't like clan meetings?

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! "I'm not the one to be part of all the cheery little voices being shared and what not," Lynxbreak snorted, and shook his head. The words that were spoken, hit him like a hammer, and his ears perked. "You are the daughter of the Leader?" He yowled, standing up, walking closer to her. "I didn't think that Leaders could have kits, let alone mate." All this came to a shock, but he tried his best to brush it off. A sigh, and a shrug, the Warrior reclined once more, but he was much closer to this she-cat, which made him just a little bit more in a good mood.
"Did you ever know your mother?" Though he regretted asking her such a personal question, he was just so curious. Lynxbreak never knew his, because she had been killed by his faher, along with his little sister. Closing his large eyes, the tom sniffed, trying not to tear up. Showing too much emotion would flag you as weak, which was a target to the other toms.

Echowhisper nodded in agreement. Exactly! Going through my and my siblings' ceremonies was enough for me for a lifetime. She looked at her paws for a moment. Yeah, I'm his daughter. She raised her eyebrows. If the leader is a male, then he can have a mate and kits. If it's a femme... I think that they can have a mate, but no kits. But it's not like that stopped some leaders. She snorted when she thought of Amethyeststar, Eclipseclan's former leader, and Fernpelt, Eclipseclan's leader-to-be. Though she had heard that they had both given their kits to another queen to nurse.
Echowhisper blinked as he, ouf of the blue, asked about her mother. My mother? Of course I knew her. She's still alive and well. Do you know Stormfeather? She's my mom. She noticed that Lynxbreak looked a little shakey. Hey, are you okay?[/blockquote]

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! Looking at the she-cat, Lynxbreak nodded. Though within, the thought of his mothers' death tore him to shreds. His paws trembled underneath his weight, and they couldn't take the sudden movements much longer then they had already withheld. With a thud, his paws gave way, sending Lynxbreak to the ground. Billows of dust and debris flew up, clogging the nose of the fallen tom. "Stupid legs," He muttered, and shook his head. A leaf that had been stirred up flitted back down, and landed squarely on his face.
A hiss was emitted from between his bared teeth, and his shoulders slumped. "Oh yes, Echowhisper, I'm just a peachy old tom." The large warrior retorted, glaring at the trees that were standing in front of him. Luckily, the she-cat wasn't in the line of his glare, or he would be kicking his own furry rear later that day.

Echowhisper's celery green eyes open wide as Lynxbreak collasped and fell to the ground. Lynxbreak! You're obviously not okay. She ran to his side, worried. Concern had etched lines on her face. But she frowned when he said something sarcastic. Don't get mad at me. I didn't make you fall. She huffed and turned her gaze away. What is up with him? First he stares at me. Then, he talks to himself. And then he falls out of nowhere? She felt bad about thinking about him like that, but it was true. I wish I could figure this guy out.

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! Looking up at Echowhisper, who had ran to his side after his fall, the tom smiled. "I know I'm not okay," He said breathlessly, and looked at his paws. If only he knew what was wrong with him, he'd go to Grainpelt for some help. With the thought of going to the Medicine Cat, he chuckled, and shook his head. 'Yeah, like you'd catch me talking to that old coot.' His mind said with sarcasm, and his muzzle pulled into a smile.
"Well, just don't stand there like a fox is there, Echowhisper," Lynxbreak began, his voice softer than normail, obviously getting around to being nice to one that he had liked from the first time he saw her. "Help this old bag of bones up." Of course he was joking when he called himself an old bag of bones, because he was actually quite young.

Echowhisper heard pleasant meows next to her, and she turned back towards the warrior, a smile on her face. Of course I'll help you up. She ducked under one of Lynxbreak's front limbs, until her slim black-and-white shoulders were underneath it. She slowly stood up. C'mon, ya bag of bones. Don't lie there, all lazy-like. I need your help if you want mine. She wheezed for a moment. Even his leg was heavy! (Or maybe she was just weak.) She could felt his flank in her side, and the muscles there. Man, he must be strong. Strong and thin. I'm only thin, She thought wistfully.

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! Laughing, the tom shifted his weight, so he could stand on his own. A smile was on his face, which for him, was a quite rare scene. "Okay, I'm up!" Lynxbreak mewed as he was finally on his feet, and he nodded to Echowhisper with a thanks. His eyes flicked to her face, then to his paws. He still couldn't look her in the eyes, afraid that she had already taken a hint that he had feelings for her. Sure, they never spoken before this day, but he had seen her from afar.
Yes, that did seem kind of stalker-ish, but who wouldn't be attracted to this she-cat? Her pelt was so beautiful, the way it sparkled in the sunlight, and her green eyes. Oh, how they melted a hole in his heart. 'Ask her to go on a walk with you, you dimwit!' The mind of his own spoke out, trying to encourage him to finally get the nerve to spend real time with her, rather than watch from afar.

Echowhisper saw him smile, and for some reason, that smile made her happy. After she helped him up, she ducked back out from underneath his heavy leg. She looked at his amber eyes. They glowed with a new warmth, like a spark of golden fire. He seems so happy now... His mood changes like four seasons... She fluttered her eyelids for a moment. It was bored, just sitting around, doing nothing. Hey, wanna do something that doesn't involve sitting?

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! With a nod of his head, the tom smiled. "Sure, would you like to go for a stroll or no?" His voice wavered a little, but he tried his hardest to keep it under control. The wind had picked up, tossing leaves and little twigs around, and one had landed on Echowhisper's head. The tom smiled once more, and tried oh so hard on not laughing. It was a perfect moment, not wanting to ruin it with his laughter.
"Shall we go now?" Lynxbreak asked, flicking his tail, and stood up.

Echowhisper nodded. A walk sounds nice. She stood up too, and stretched the muscles in her limbs, one leg by one. The wind blew up a flurry leaves, and one landed on her head. She laughed, and batted it away. He laugh echoed amond the thick tree trunks. She put a paw to her mouth, as if in shock, then laughed again. C'mon, let's go, before I grow old and gray.
The more and more she relaxed, the more she felt the moons of silence and politeness strip away. Echowhisper had always been a silent individual, with not much to say to others. She never really had conversations with anyone. This was probably the longest one she had ever had, and the best one.
She started to walk off, towards a pathway between two tall trees that had grown close together. Coming?

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x! Shaking his head, he stood up quickly. "Nah, I'll just sit here and watch you leave me be," The tom said sarcastically, and smiled. His tail flicked behind him, and he pounced. His paws had caught him this time, and he landed with a soft thud next to the she-cat. Her green eyes sparkled in the light, and he mewed. "Where, exactly, are we going to go?" Conversation was quite hard to come by now, and the tom's muzzle pulled into a slight frown.

Echowhisper stopped for a moment, and waited for Lynxbreak to catch up. Instead of walking, though, he crouched and leapt. Ooh, good leap. She began to walk again, and dodged through the two trees. The clearing was gone now. Trees surrounded them, and stretched up towards the sky. Majestic crowns of leaves topped the highest branches. As she admired the scene around her, a scuffling noise reached her ears. She turned towards the noise, and scented a sparrow. I hope you're hungry, She murmured to Lynxbreak. She crept over to a nearby tree, where the bird was pecking at an insect. She slithered forward for a moment, and was still. The bird knew something was up. It looked around with its beady eyes. Before it could register the waiting warrioress, Echowhisper had leapt from her hiding place and pounced. It started to fly away, but Echowhisper snagged her claws in it's feathers and pulled it towards her. She finished it with a bite to the neck. Carrying her kill proudly, she went back over to Lynxbreak. Want some?

l y n x BREAK [.x!] i'm coming down, bring me up take it off, lets just touch .x!Watching the she-cat with close eyes, he shook his head at her offer. "I'm not the hungry, but thank you for the offer anyways." He mewed, licking his lips after those words were spoken. The avian that she had caught did look quite appealing, but Lynbreak didn't want to take the whole thing for himself. Yes, he was that hungry. An ear flicked forward, the sounds of the trees around them reverberating the sounds of the birds' calls towards them. "Quite noisy, isn't it?" The tom asking, sitting down on his hindquarters, his tail wrapping around his leg, laying softly ontop of his massive paws.
Jaws widened, as a long yawn was let out. Sleep washed over him, like a nice afternoon bath, but with a quick shake of his shoulders, the feeling of curling up in his moss nest left him just a sudden as the feeling at came.

echowhisper.
Echowhisper tilted her head at the refusing tom. No, c'mon, have some. I can catch more. She dropped it at his feet and smiled kindly. She was about to dash off again, when he commented on the birds. Echowhisper swivelled her ears around, taking in the noise. The birds were chirping loudly, their shrieks and calls almost frantic. They seemed to grow louder and louder, as if they were coming closer...
For some reason, Echowhisper flinched and ducked. Stop being so paranoid! She stood up again, and looked at Lynxbreak, hoping he hadn't seen her act like a wimp. Umm, She mumbled akwardly.
