. Mudfur . . Sing us a song, and we'll sing it back to you . The ground was a little cold from the frost that had formed on the top layer of the tall grass, the sound of crunching and scuttling of small creatures. A small scrawny shape moved quickly through the browning grasses, it's small paws detecting if any predators were looking for a meal. It's beady black eyes spotted a few seeds from the Fall and Summer season, the little rodent started to gather and nibble the little seeds as a thin sounds of white paws echoed through the invisible felines heart. The delicate paws made sure not to step on any of the sound strings that would make the mouse hear her. A brown tabby coat moved stealthily towards the blood pulsing creature, her yellow-green eyes shone with nervousness and an emotion that she had no control over. Love. Invisible in the surface of her pupils. The brown tabby quickly stalked forward with speed and light steps, her white paw stroke out as she got close enough and then her sharp white teeth swiftly came down on the neck until she felt the small crack of the breaking of the neck. The fae dug a small hole and dropped her kill and scrapped dirt over the small rodent, she looked up from her spot and craned to see where the bulky male was. Her favorite cat in her clan. Her best friend. She waited patiently for him to appear from his hunting if he was stalking anything before she spoke. //. reserved for Shard & Heavysand ^^

HEAVYSAND.

A huge form emerged form the bushes. From the gleaming ivory jaws dangled a thin, scrawny shrew. "Sorry I'm late," he mewed, dropping the limp body and digging a hole with his tiny forepaws. "It was the perfect chance." He flattened his ears sheepishly but his mouth still had a slightly humorous smirk on it. The corpse of the shrew was swatted into the hole and concealed with packed sand. Heavysand then took a twig and stuck it upright in the ground as a marker to show the placement of the prey. "I've never been great with scenting hidden things," the Maine Coon explained, "So I use twigs to help me find where I put my prey."
His blue optics rose to see her. She looked really quite stunning at the moment. Her brown tabby coat was brilliant and clean, her yellow-green eyes sparkling. The afternoon sun shone on her in the most perfect of ways, beautiful rays of light beaming down in streams through the gaps in the trees. He had to tell her soon. He knew it, he knew he loved her. Yet every time he opened his mouth to say it, he choked on his words, his heart stopped. What if she didn't love him back? It would ruin their friendship. But he'd have to tell her sometime. The tom bit his lip, making up his mind.
"Mudfur...I...I...I think I love you..."[/blockquote]

. Mudfur . . Sing us a song, and we'll sing it back to you . Mudfur smiled as Heavysand showed up with a piece of prey, her brown tabby coat shook with warmth that wouldn't have been there the first time they had went hunting. She watched as he dug hole for his prey then put a stick straight up where he had put the shrew. She listened with great interest to why he had done this, her smile grew bigger with the happiness she felt, 'That's really cool, Heavysand, if every cat knew how to mark where their prey is then we probably wouldn't starve in leaf-bare.' Mudfur's sweet voice sounded like birds singing when she spoke to her best friend, her yellow-green eyes shining. She picked up a strong enough stick and found where she buried her prey, she stuck the earth tasting twig into the ground where the mouse lay dead. The brown tabby turned back to her friend with a pretty grin, boy did she love him, she didn't smile for anyone like that besides her brothers and they didn't get all of the enthusiasm she was giving now. Her yellow-green orbs went to his paws not wanting to look like an idiot, her thoughts went to his face though, her pretty orbs almost spread crystal drops when she thought of his beautiful blue eyes. Mudfur's head shot up when she heard Heavysand speak again but her tabby face filled with surprise and shock. Did he really love her? Was she hearing things? No! He really did, you could tell by the way he looked at her now. Mudfur's surprise quickly changed to happiness and love, 'Oh, Heavysand! I love you too!' Now Mudfur's yellow-green orbs glistened with the crystal tears but this time it was out of happiness of now hiding it anymore and of the love she could now express towards her best friend.
