we've got a good thing going and it feels so right she's a firecracker she's the light of my lifeflarewind... _________________ she's the light of my life ______________________ The deputy sat outside of the warriors den, his tail swishing slowly over the ground. He had finally slept soundly, with Clearpool going to recieve her nine lives. He felt content, with his life finally taking a turn for the better. Golden-green eyes looked around, as he searched for either Terrapinpaw or Musicdrift. Jaws opened, and he yawned, the sun shining down and making him drowsy once again. Stretching out his paws, the tom shook his head. He wouldn't sleep, not now. He had duties to do, maybe go take Terrapinpaw out, along with Musicdrift and her apprentice. They could all go hunting or something. All he knew was that he needed to get out of camp.
Pushing himself up onto his paws, Flarewind stretched out his forepaws once again, and shook out his multi-colored coat. Boredom was setting in, and if his mate or apprentice didn't appear soon enough, he would go back to sleep. Probably lay out in the sun, in case anyone from the Clan needed him for anything. Which probably wasn't likely. Though, he couldn't let his guard down that easily. Not with that stupid rogue, Poisongas or whatever, still roaming around. The thought of that stupid tom caused a slight hiss to rupture his normally quite self, and his fur prickled. He needed to stop.
Sitting down once again, he waited, to see if anyone would even approach him. And, in the meantime, while he waited, he bent his head down and smoothed down the hairs that made up the fur on his chest. Might as well give himself a good wash.

song on the windmusicdrift The she-cat asked quietly, trying to hide how tired she actually was from her mate. But of course, her body wouldn't cooperate with her. A small yawn escaped from between her jaws. She shut her maw before looking across the clearing, then back to Flarewind. She raised a paw, licking at it to help herself stay awake. "I found no scents of the rogue that came by earlier. He seems to have gone back to where he belonged." She murmured quietly. [/ul]

we've got a good thing going and it feels so right she's a firecracker she's the light of my lifeflarewind... _________________ she's the light of my life ______________________ Chuckling slightly, Flarewind ran his own tongue over his mate's ear. "You sure look tired, love. Why don't you sleep? I am just fine, wanting to go out and run around. Maybe train Terrapinpaw." His tail swayed, as his golden-green eyes stared at Musicdrift. "As long as that rogue is gone, I can sleep well. He surely was getting on my nerves, barging into camp like he did." Flarewind looked toward the camp's entrance, half expecting to see that lowly peice of crowfood barging into the camp once again, demanding to see Cyanfeather. Tail snapped against the ground, as he thought about the rogue. Ew, no. He couldn't, he WOULDN'T think about that.
"I was going to ask if you if you wanted to go out into the territory with Terrapinpaw and I, but I don't know if you would be up to it, seeing how tired you are." He remembered how tired he had been, and knew that his mate had been worried about his sleep deprevation he had had. But, that was over with, and now he was going to be worried about her. Afterall, that was what mates were for, non?

song on the windmusicdrift Musicdrift let her voice fade out. Blisspaw's disappearance shouldn't affect her too much..should it? She had helped him with quite a few things, including helping him with his blindness, but he was just an apprentice, wasn't he? She shook the thoughts away. Of course he wasn't just an apprentice. He was like her son, the one she always wanted. Her eyes moved up to Flarewind, smiling softly at him. "Since Blisspaw is gone, I was thinking I would do it. Would you like to help?"[/ul]

_________________ she's the light of my life ______________________ Remebering how down his mate was about Blisspaw, Flarewind intertwined his tail with hers. "Love, do not think of it. It will only make things terrible." Flicking his ears slightly, he thought about cleaning out the nursery. Smiling slightly, he remembered when he helped clean out the dens as an apprentice. Maybe it was time to actually help out around here, instead of being Mr. Lazy Bones. "Sure! I would love to help you, dear."
The tom pushed himself up, shaking out his multi-hued fur and turning his gaze onto Musicdrift. "But, if you get too tired doing this, you promise me that you will head back to the warrior's den and sleep?" He smiled, and swished his tail slowly behind him as he waited for her to answer. song on the windmusicdrift She mewed with a wide grin before starting across to the nursery, stopping to look at Brokenkit as she looked out into the forest. The motherly she-cat gave a small purr, remembering her days as a kit and thinking about how she sat in the same spot as the light-colored kit. Musicdrift slipped into the den, grinning at the queens, watching as the kits scrambled towards her. She couldn't help but laugh. "We're here on important business, my little ones. Your den is being cleaned by not only me, but also our very own deputy" She mewd, glancing back at Flarewind before licking Autumnkit over the head and going towards Corcuspool's nest, scooping up the bedding and rolling it into a ball, flicking it towards the entrance, hitting Flarewind in the head. "Are ya gonna take that from her, Flarewinders?" Autumnkit mewed, jumping towards the deputy, turning to give a playful growl at the deputy's mate. [/ul]

we've got a good thing going and it feels so right she's a firecracker she's the light of my lifeflarewind... _________________ she's the light of my life ______________________ Getting hit with the moss, and Flarewind hissed playfully. Looking to Autumnkit, he smiled. "Flarewinders? Heh, I won't, little one. She'll get what she deserves later." He shot a playful glance at Musicdrift, then scooped up some of the moss nearby, pushing it out of the entrance. Wow, he hadn't done this in a while. Shaking out his fur slightly, he made sure not to run into any little kits that might be running around his paws.
"Just because I am in here helping, doesn't mean I will be doing this all the time mind you. I'll send Terrapinpaw in here sometime to clear out the moss and put fresh stuff back." His tail flicked slowly behind him, as he stood near the entrance of the den, golden-green eyes watching what Musicdrift was doing. Thoughts about when she asked about a family came drifting back across his mind, and he smiled faintly. She would be here with the other queens, if she really wanted a family. [/blockquote]

Fablekit The spotted she-cat opened her eyes sleepily as she heard a soft voice in the den. She smiled slightly as she saw it was Musicdrift, the she-cat was deeply loved by all the kits as she seemed to them all to their auntie, even though Fablekit knew this wasn't true. She yawned widely, stretching as she did so, before silently padding over to Musicdrift, dipping her head politely to both her and Flarewind. "Would you like any help?" she asked softly, dark green eyes travelling over the three cats stood in front of her. [/sub]

song on the windmusicdrift Musicdrift asked, turning towards the corner where she normally found Cyanfeather. The nest was empty, except for the three other kits that lay there. She turned towards Flarewind, watching as Autumnkit pawed at the moss at the deputy's paws. The orange she-cat stood, padding towards the entrance and slipping out, saying a quick "i'll be right back" to the deputy and trotting towards the nursery "Timbersmoke?"[/ul]

// The sleeping sentry lay by the nursery, totally exhausted. He pried his eyes open wearily and looked up at Musicdrift. "Huh? What? What's up?" He pulled himself to his feet and entered the nursery, gesturing for the she-cat to follow him as he checked up on his kits like he had been doing for the past few days, ever few hours. Aetherkit was there, as was Brokenkit, Toxickit, and Amaranthkit. They were curled up together. It made the tom smile gently despite his protests a few moons ago that he wanted nothing to do with the children. He blinked and looked up at Musicdrift.
"Where'd she go?" There was no mistaking who he was talking about.

song on the windmusicdrift The mother-like she-cat said quietly, looking down at the four kits. Her eyes shot up to the shaggy brown tom. "She isn't in camp....which means she has to be in the territory somewhere..." Musicdrift trailed off as she spoke, glancing over at Timbersmoke, worry in her wide eyes. [/ul]

// He hissed slightly and shook his fur. "That mousebrain," he muttered under his breath. The tom reared and faced the entrance. His dark green eyes flitted over to Musicdrift. "Can you babysit the kits while I go find her?" Without waiting for an answer, the massive tomcat disappeared into the trees.
