STORMSTAR.

"May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan meeting!"
How many times had it been that he'd found himself standing here, upon this towering ledge that was called the Bird's Wing, calling those same words? It would be nice for a little change now and then. Sometimes being leader could be quite demeaning. Every day was the same thing; Get up, survey the camp, go on a patrol or two, survey the camp some more, take a brief nap, survey the camp, check on the medicine den, and did I mention surveying the camp? Occasionally he'd get to do a ceremony, but those were strictly organized and planned out too. Life was one big blueprint that had to be followed perfectly and carefully or else everything would crumble.
However, lately, the routine of life was beginning to break. Stormstar was constantly exhausted and wheezing interrupted every sentence he spoke. This was more than aging. He was coming down with something.
The CloudClan leader waited silently for the cats to gather.
[ooc]:// Let's say they had already come back from the Gathering a while ago. x.x;[/blockquote]

Gannetkit
Words match my deeds with brutal honesty Never forget these choices were made by me
[/blockquote] Would he be an apprentice today? That's what Gannetkit wondered as he exited the nursery. The tom swallowed and walked over to the Bird's Wing, staring up at Stormstar. The poor old guy looked dead off his paws. Was he sick?
The prince shook his head and decided that he didn't really care. It was his special day today and Stormstar better not ruin it by dying randomly. His esteemed father would be proud of him. Gannetkit puffed up his chest at the thought. He had gotten over his father's death somewhat.

p i x i e kit.
Pixiekit tramped out of the nursery after Gannetkit. She was not in a good mood today, and anyone could tell from the look on her face and they way she walked. Anger practically came off her pelt in waves. She wasn't sure why, but it might've had to do with the fact that she stepped on not one, but two thorns earlier that day. Also, when she had been play fighting earlier, she had gotten clobbered so hard she had to go to visit the medicine cat. Luckily, she was okay, but her body ached.
Nonetheless, she proudly stomped her way out into the clearing so she could watch the Clan meeting. Cats were getting their ceremonies today. She liked to watch them and imagine about her apprentice and warrior ceremonies that would come in the future. [/blockquote]

forgotten mind, living soulfadedmemory He deputy meowed, grinning brightly before flicking her tail over the "prince's" ears. "Your father will be very proud of you. I guarantee it." With that said, Fadedmemory continued over to sit below her leader, looking up in concern as the tom coughed. [/ul]

tansypaw The world had stopped for Tansypaw. Time meant nothing to her. Nothing at all. She didn't know how long it had been. She slept fitfully. She couldn't always tell the difference between wakefulness and sleep. She was trapped in a void. Maybe that was why Dragonflydance was keeping her in the medicine den, despite the fact that her scratches had healed. Her scratches. They were nothing. Nothing to what Grasspaw had had to face. And he was gone. Grasspaw was gone. Her Grasspaw. Yes, they'd buried him. Yes, they'd mourned, Ribbontail and her litter and every other cat who had known him. But Tansypaw had not stopped mourning. She wanted him, she needed him. She felt sick and empty without him. Even upon hearing Stormstar's call, she simply pressed her face into her paws, ignoring it.

Spadekit came out more timidly than his sister had, his timid steps making much less noise. He knew that, unfortunately, they wouldn't be made apprentices today. It was inevitable. Gannetkit and Septemberkit's litter was moons older than them, and they still had to be apprenticed. Spadekit frowned at the thought of sharing the nursery with only his sisters and Oppositekit. Ugh. It wasn't that he didn't like his siblings, they were just so... so loud! His mind went back to that night with Septemberkit, when the peace and quiet had been so moving and so welcome. They didn't need words. A smile cracked his frown when he thought of her and her rough exterior. Maybe she just needed someone to help her forget why she was protecting herself.
Spadekit sat beside Pixiekit. Something was wrong, she was in a worse mood than she usually was. Even though trying to comfort Pixiekit usually led to a verbal beating, he tried anyway. "What's wrong?" [/blockquote]

STORMSTAR.

He nodded in acceptance, seeing that enough cats were out for him to proceed. The tom assessed the meeting's events silently in his head. A few warriors to name, a few kits to apprentice, and that was about it. Stormstar cleared his throat, only to fall into a fit of hacking and wheezing. Yes, something was definitely wrong with him. He made a mental note to speak to Dragonflydance later.
"We have a couple apprentices who are ready to become warriors. Tansypaw, Dapplepaw, Frostpaw and Spottedpaw, please come forth.
"I, Stormstar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn.
"Tansypaw, from this moment you will be known as Tansyfrost. StarClan honors your diligence and your perserverance, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan.
"Dapplepaw, from this moment you will be known as Dapplecharm. StarClan honors your will and your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan.
"Frostpaw, from this moment one, you will be known as Frostfoot. StarClan honors your love and compassion, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan.
"Spottedpaw, from this moment you will be known as Spottednova. StarClan honors your bravery and your will, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan."
Stormstar looked over the Clan as they roared their approval, but his gaze became clouded with sorrow. He knew that his apprentice should have been here, taking on a new name as well. Well, so be it then. He would get his warrior name, whether he was alive for it or not. That young tom had certainly deserved it for his sacrifice. "There is another apprentice who should be here as well, receiving his warrior name, and that is Grasspaw. He gave his life battling Quetzal, and he shall be honored for that.
"Grasspaw, he yowled to the skies, throwing his head up and gazing into the heavens, "from this moment you will be known as Grasswhistle. StarClan honors your loyalty and your love for the Clan, and shall welcome you with open paws as a warrior of their ranks."
EDIT. I added Dapplepaw and Frostpaw to the ceremony.[/blockquote]

forgotten mind, living soulfadedmemory The deputy mewed, a wide smile across her inviting face. Her eyes moved towards Tansyfrost, her head lowering to the she-cat's ear. "If you need help with anything, Tansyfrost, I'm here for you. And can trust me" She whispered, moving back and licking the blind cat's ears, padding back to her spot below Stormstar [/ul]

tansyfrost The ginger and white she-cat dully pricked up her ears as she heard her name. The she-cat heaved herself to her paws. Her body felt as though it were made of stone. She dragged herself out of the den, ferns slapping her in the nose. Tansypaw padded around the crowd, until she stood beside Spottedpaw. She stared downwards, her blind eyes hidden. As Stormstar called her name, she did not move. She gave a tiny nod as she became Tansyfrost. No smile lit up her features. Tansyfrost padded to the edge of the crowd, and stood stiffly, her eyes shut. She barely listened to Spottedpaw's warrior ceremony. As Stormstar mentioned Grasspaw, she raised her head. Her blind green eyes were wide. As the leader gave her beloved mate his warrior name, tears coursed silently down her cheeks. She acknowledged Fadedmemory's words with a small nod, tears dripping onto her small white paws.

Despite being fall, the smell of New-leaf trickled in from all side of the camp. It swirled around Tansyfrost, dancing in mid-air like sprites before surging to the medicine den and dissapating. The sound of wind whistling though blades of grass could be heard, as if StarClan had indeed accepted the fallen new warrior into their ranks.
"I love you, baby."
Fallen leaves surged upward and then fluttered down at Tansyfrost's paws, scampering playfully over to Dragonflydance. "Thank you..." The spirit of the ever-vivacious Grasswhistle slipped into StarClan's reaches.

tansyfrost The she-cat barely listened to her sisters' warrior ceremonies. Her wide, blind green eyes were fixed downwards, staring as fixedly at her paws as a sighted cat. The ginger and white she-cat suddenly felt wind brush on her pelt, but it was not cold and harsh, as the wind had become recently. It was warmer, and softer, like a mother's tongue on her kit's back. Tansyfrost pricked up her ears as a voice whispered in her ear. She glanced around wildly, though she already knew who it was, and no amount of flailing around would find him. The new warrior felt tears fill her leaf coloured eyes. "I love you too," she mewed, her voice choked by tears. She raised her head to stare up at the sky, though of course she could only see darkness. She knew Grasswhistle would watch her. Her Grasswhistle.

pixiekit !!
Pixiekit groaned when she heard the familiar timid voice of Spadekit behind her. She swung her head around, and faced Spadekit. 'Lo, She grunted. She didn't need her brother questioning her everything. She groaned again, and let loss a torrent of angry words. Stop poking around in my beeswax, Spadekit! I have not had a good day today. I stepped on two thorns, and my body hurts from getting practically beaten up. Don't mess with me, or I'll mess you up! She began to mumble to herself. I did show him a lesson, though. She grinned, but it was a wicked one. Her frown almost immediately returned, though. Why do you care?

I thought I knew you, I thought you'd never leave. I know you are gone, But I will still believe.
Spottedpaw
Disbelief. Everything was happening in slow motion. How could Grasspaw be dead? It was not possible. The normally cheery apprentice was dull. She was sitting alone, watching the clan gather to Stormstar. She felt alone. More alone than she had ever felt before. Suddenly, her name was called. She padded up to Stormstar. Stormstar named her Spottednova. She smiled. The kiwi-green eyes of hers lit up briefly before falling back into the mask of sorrow. 'Thank you, Stormstar.' Her voice sounded oddly filled with grief.
Spottednova padded away from Stormstar, hen stopped dead. Stormstar had named her brother as a warrior. She chanted loud and strong with the clan. Her eyes were filled with tears and spilled over strongly. They flowed down her face as she called her brother. She whispered to herself afterward, 'Grasswhistle, stay safe in Starclan. I'll miss you, brother.' She looked around and found Tansyfrost. She padded to the cat's side. 'Hi, congratulations on becoming a warrior. It was nice that he honoured Grasswhistle, huh?' The tears were stopping now. She made no effort to slean them, though. She let them fall as she waited for Tansyfrost to answer.
