Aurora opened her mouth to say that just because she wanted Pecankit to grow up, she didn't mean that Pecankit should shut down. Was she expected to know their problem? She didn't have telepathy.
"Well then," she said instead. "Let's hit the road. We've got a long way to go." She turned to Crystalkit, tilting her head. "Do you have something to say?" She flashed a gentle smile.

Blue eyes drifted to Aurora. He was happy he'd made some distraction, but he was nearly killed in the process. A flash of fury singed through them, but faded away faster than any cat ever could imagine. Moonkit knew how to hide his emotions, and no cat really knew. He immeadiately sensed when they were coming, and usually cleared them before some cat noticed. But everything inside of him softened as he turned his gaze to Selenekit. He saw some kind of friendship in her eyes, and then padded over to her. She seemed to be recovering from a sudden jolt of fear. Pulling some of the mud off of kit, he wispered to his friend. "Are you okay? You look as if you saw a DeathClan cat or something."[/sup]

"No," meowed Crystalkit, suprised by how hoarse her voice was. She smiled sheepishly back at Aurora, feeling strangely pressured. She knew that Pecankit wasn't exactly getting along with Aurora, but Crystalkit herself felt safe around the kindly loner. She took a quick step, then another. She was still strong, even though fear had shaken her. Sticking her maw out of the den, she cautiously sniffed the air. She could only smell blood, but no fox. Sighing, she padded out into the open, breathing in the cool air. Leaf-bare would be coming long before they got home. A new worry twisted in her stomach, and suddenly she felt sick with worry. She herself had never seen Leaf-bare, but she had heard of it - cats of all ages would die of a sickness called greencough. And where were they to find a medicine cat out here? The silver-pelted kit swayed like a fallen leaf in the wind. [/color][/blockquote]

[ooc] Yeah, I suppose ONE kit has to like her, ne? She's doing the best she can - but I have to admit, Pecankit vs. Aurora is making this whole thing so much more interesting! -grabs pitchfork anyway-

// xD Well, she's meant to be stubborn. =3
The kitten could feel Aurora's eyes burning into her, but she did not turn. She did not move - even her quivering paws had stilled. After she felt the sensation leave her, the tabby she-cat turned around, dark blue eyes narrow. Pecankit noticed a shadow of rage wing through Moonkit's pale eyes, before it was smothered by emotionlessness. The she-cat blinked as the silver tabby tom joined Selenekit. Crystalkit was smiling at Aurora helplessly. Pecankit rolled her eyes. She liked the grey and white kitten, but she did not see why Aurora liked her so much. Pecankit tilted her head. She had thought Aurora wanted them to be tough. Crystalkit wasn't exactly the toughest cat in the forest.

[ooc] I love how all the kittens don't know why they were chosen... Pecankit is stubborn, Crystalkit is shy and, well... just very worrisome, Selenekit is quiet and sad inside, just like Mottledkit, and Moonkit misses home and is very friendly. <33 (I love Pecankit, by the way, she's cool. >3)

((I picture Pecankit like Mulan from the Disney movie, where she can't do the hard work so the general yells at her, but then she starts doing it and ends up beating the general at his own game and they both earn respect for each other
Also, this thread is done, I suppose. Onward to next board anyone? =]))

[ooc] Fine with me. =3 Yeah, I always have so much fun playing the stubborn and -kinda- arrogant ones, in the case of my little Barrenpaw.
