Preciousring He who makes a beast out of himself... Preciousring stopped suddenly. He turned back to Violetwisp, a broad grin seeming to split his face in two. "Kin! Kin! Look! The Violetwisp clan is other there! Kin!" He mewed, hopping up and down. "We told you we knew the ways, kinnykin kin!" He trotted over to Violetwisp, still grinning. "Preciousring can't go in Violetwisp's clan, so Violetwisp must find her Slatesky on her own now." He meowed, looking slightly sad, although it may have just been because of the deep wrinkles on his face.
He hesitated a while, then gentle nudged the she-cat with his nose. "Go, kin, go. Find your grey Slatesky." He meowed. Then he blinked, looking at Violetwisp with big eyes. "But...Preciousring will see the Violetwisp again, won't he, kin?" He asked.

violetwisp She had been right. She, Violetwisp, had been right! This was the place, that place. The place where her Slatesky would be! The brown tabby beamed at Preciousring, her blue eyes joyous. She looked perfectly sane, and utterly ordinary, for a moment. Then her expression changed. "Thankyou, Ring That Is Precious!" she mewed, her voice deep and meaningful. "May the whisperer bless you, and spare you!" The she-cat turned her head on one side at the tom's next words. She wondered what she should say. A sudden gust of wind buffeted her side, pushing her against Preciousring. She threw back her head. "The whisperer has spoken!" she announced. Then she turned to Preciousring. "Yes, my Ring-Precious. We will see eachother again when the whisperer deems it so." The she-cat dithered, then ran into the forest.
At the last moment she turned. "Goodbye, Ring-Precious!" she called. "I'll pray for your brain this dark!" She then trundled on, a smile on her face.

Preciousring He who makes a beast out of himself... Preciousring blinked as Violetwisp's body pressed against his, then smiled widely again at her words. He would see Violetwisp again! "Preciousring will wait for the whisperer to let him see Violetwisp again, kin." He meowed.
He watched as the she-cat trundled away from him, feeling happy and sad at the same time. He was sad to see her go, but happy he had found someone who seemed to understand him. He sat, purring for a while after she had gone, then remembered he wasn't supposed to be here, in the Violetwisp clan places, and hurried away, still smiling.

Slatesky had been perched by the warrior's den when he heard a voice outside camp. It was loud and it was a voice he recognized easily. Getting up swiftly - you'd think that such a large-boned cat would have a harder time standing up than that, but Slatesky was suddenly to agitated to sit any longer. Heavy steps took him to the source of the sound. Just outside camp, looking over her shoulder, was his sister. She seemed extremely happy, happier than Slatesky had ever seen her, in fact. Violetwisp, what happened? his tone was not threatening or angry, but concerned and slightly confused. What had made his sister this happy? It could have simply been a patch of moss that didn't 'talk', or a bird that she had caught then left for the smaller animals, but it seemed like more than that. She could have gotten hurt, he thought, before reminding himself that despite her disabilities, Violetwisp was a full-grown warrioress who could leave camp when she pleased. Still, he wished she had told him about her absence, however short. [/blockquote]

violetwisp The small brown tabby's paws led her towards the camp entrance. Her head felt surprisingly clear. She smiled as a mouse darted past. "Hello my friend!" she called after it, ducking her head in respect to the scrawny creature. She turned her head, and saw... Her Slatesky! Violetwisp's eyes lit up. "Slatesky! My Slatesky!" The she-cat bumbled towards her brother, confused as to why he looked so worried. "The Ring That Is Precious spoke the truth!" The warrioress wriggled happily. She looked at Slatesky, one eye narrowed. After a while she began to twitch with agitation. Why was he being so down-mouth? "Slatesky," she mewed in a hushed voice, as though she were speaking to a dying cat. "The Whisperer... It didn't get my Slatesky' brain, too?" Violetwisp extended a paw and gave her brother's chest a poke. She felt his hammering heartbeat, and darted backward, mouth sagging open.
"The Whisperer sends the hammerbird!" she moaned. "Oh, poor Slatesky. Poor Violetwisp. Poor, poor Slatesky." She looked at her brother fearfully, creases of worry covering her face, her blue eyes wild.
