EVERYTHING IS SO CRAZY!! kuri. :]

Hi, I'm Kuri. Well, my netname is Kuri -- I use it on nearly every website I go on nowadays, with the slight exceptions of some sites on which I use Kokoro, Kokorotan or Winter. Or something else. But generally, if you see a Kuri or Kuri-Chan on another site it's probably me. Just because I've been asked about it, I'll just summerize the origins of 'Kuri' here: Back when I loved the name Crystal, I decided to translate it into Japanese. It turned out as Kurisutaru. So, I shortened that to Kuri and voila!

I like music, but not the kind of stuff you'd think any normal girl would like... :] I'm probably the only person I know who actually prefers most Japanese music. I don't know why; but as long as I can find a translation of the lyrics it really doesn't matter what language it's in. And I love the guitar solos. I use a Fly Fusion Pentop Computer that I got for Christmas to play MP3s (I only have like 23 songs and can barely fit any more... sob...) because I'm very stingy with my money. I listen to anime openings and endings, and even Pokemon songs (the Japanese music isn't that bad, actually.) Right now I'm listen to Kaeshite! Knee Socks! (Return them! Knee Socks!) from an anime called Lucky Star. Off the top of my head, I like songs from Lucky Star, a band called ALI PROJECT and another band called Day After Tommorow.

Speaking of anime, I'm an anime freak. (I like manga, too, sometimes more than the anime) Right now my obsessions can be summed up as Lucky Star, Rozen Maiden and Avatar. (Which is as close as western TV will ever get to anime.) Other than that I watch mostly really 'girly' anime that probably isn't that popular. I watched one episode of The Melochany of Haruhi Suzumaiya, the one where that blue-haired girl tries to kill Kyon. It was epicly random.

Okay, time for some more important stuff! I obviously love Warriors and roleplaying. I joined BRC at the beginning of 2007. I had roleplayed with Shade on Winter Clans (Jinxdancer = win) and when she sent me the link to BRC I happily joined. So far, BRC is the only roleplay site I have been able to stay active on. I don't know why - I just love the site and all the friends I've made on here so much. :] Lavenderlace became medicine cat apprentice a while ago, and she was my first high position. Grainpelt is also next in line for BrightClan deputy.

My real-life friends... well, I have five really close ones, and a few others. There's Dawn, Koto and three I shouldn't name. Dawn, Koto and I are super-close. We obsess over things together (like Skandar Keynes) and we lend eachother... stuff (like Harvest Moon games). Two of the other three aren't into alot of the same things as I am, but we've been friends forever so it's impossible for me to not love them. The days I spend with Koto and Dawn are sure to be full of glomps, constant reminders of Marth (Fire Emblem)'s feminity and Ike (Fire Emblem again)'s strangeness. Oh, and Super Smash Bros Brawl. Lots and lots of Super Smash Bros Brawl.

While it's fresh in my mind, I'm a Nintengeek. I have a Wii and a DS, and honestly if you were to look at my Christmas lists it would be 3/4ths video games. Right now I'm dying to complete Tales of Symphonia (the guy I'm buying the second disk from -- it comes with two disks, I only have one -- hasn't replied to my e-mail yet) and waiting for the second one. I'm also at the edge of my seat waiting for news on Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii).

I like school, am in the gifted program and am currently trying to teach myself Japanese. I'm doing sychronized swimming this year and really, really want to try fencing. (Poking swords at people? Sweet!) I have four cats, Molly, a queen who's had three litters (although my dad has no idea where she's hiding the kittens from the latest litter... I've never seen them... ;o;), Rio, a fluffy gray thing that was born in Molly's second litter, Elliot, my oldest cat, a lazy gray tomcat who's actually really pretty looking and Hobbes, also Molly's son. I used to have another cat named Basil, but he got lost. He's really nice, though, so we think he's been taken in by another family.

I should take a minute to mention my little desease thing... well, I have celiac (silly-ak), a problem with my intestines. It's not serious as long as I watch what I eat. See, when I eat gluten, which is found in wheat, I get stomach aches and... well, other unpleasent things that I'd rather not mention ;] I've looked it up and apparently if I have too much of it I can actually get some other complications, too, like intestinal cancer and not being able to have a child. (I don't worry though, because there's tons of people who have had it for like 40 years without knowing and nothing's happened to them.) Wheat is in like everything from bread to some kinds of gummy candies. BUT I CAN EAT M&MS! *loves m&ms* Luckily I don't have a horrible case of it, there's no cure and I'll probably have it all my life, but I can take the buns of hamburgers and stuff without having to worry about the microscopic little peices of bread stuck to it. d: Part of the problem is that even if nothing happens for the first few weeks after eating tons of stuff I shouldn't, it'll catch up to me later.

I spend most of my days inside and love chocolate and stuff, and I probably don't excersize as much as I could. I'm not overweight yet, though, so I'll deal with that when it happens. =P

I'm more of a shounen fan than a shoujo fan. The cute girly crap doesn't impress me >>; Sailor Moon and Hamtaro did though...back when I was in second grade.

I never liked Sailor Moon or Hamtaro, but I just can't bring myself to watch Bleach or Death Note, either. (DNote scares me a bit... xD) So I say girly meaning something with a plot but not shounen. But I see what you mean. A lot of shojou is crap.
