c h a r r e d runner Charredrunner
watch the shutter close with a c l i c kYou swear you recall nothing at all
That could make you come back down tom
You made up your mind to leave it all behind 25 moons
Now you're forced to fight it out Eclispeclan, Young Warrior
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
Charredrunner; A orange tabby tom with burnt brown markings and watery-yellow eyes.
If one thinks of Charredrunner's name before they have met him, and have created a picture in their head of what they think he looks like, they will most likely be wrong. No, he does not possess burnt-colored fur that makes him appear to have escaped from a forest fire. [Well, most of it doesn't look like that anyway.] No, he does have fiery temper of any sort. [Only sometimes does he get angry.] Or, as the last part of his name might suggest, he is not any kind of runner at all. So, what is he like, then? By now, you must be itching to hear about him. I've kept you waiting long enough. I'll tell you.
I'll start off with his body. Charredrunner has no dispoportionate body. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being larger than Brightclan's Ghostlystar and 1 being a cat that looks like a kitten that never grew, he'd be a 5. Maybe a 5 1/2. He has a medium bone build.
His face starts with the tip of his triangular pale pink nose. He has a small round muzzle that fits him, with long whiskers and the tips of his mouth curled up a little, into a almost-permanant small smile. He has bright eyes with a watery yellow color that kind looks like they were painted with watercolors. He has triangular ears that frame his face, and end with tiny cinder-colored tufts.
From his face flows his neck, and from his neck his back. Sharp shoulder blades move back and forth as he walk. His muscles are small, but lean, and if you carefully, you can see the muscles of his back work across the surface of his fur. From his back came his flanks, and then sprouted four limbs and a tail. He has strong legs, which are good for pouncing, whether it be on a pouse or an enemy in battle.
I almost forgot one of the most important parts. His fur! A cat's pride and joy. Charredrunner has a lovely short orange tabby coat that fits over his frame. His tabby markings are a dark orange, but he has two markings that make him stand out. He possesses small ear tufts that are appear to be burnt fur. He also has a long burnt brown-colored stripe that starts on the back of his neck and runs all along his spine, all the way to the tip of his tail. Also, the fur on his spine and tail is kind of springy, and refuses to lie flat, not matter how many times he grooms himself.
You left something undone, it's now your rerun
It's the one you can't erase
You should have made it right, so you wouldn't have to fight
To put a smile back on your face
Like a lot of guys, Charredrunner isn't really that complex when it comes to his feelings. But while he has a simple mind, that doesn't mean he doesn't conceal some things.
Let's talk about his notable character traits first. First and foremost, he is loyal. He is one of the most loyal cats you'll ever meet. He shows his loyality in battle. Also, on occasion, he'll meet a cat on patrol that has strayed within Eclispeclan's borders. The macho dude he is, chases them away.
Another trait of his is that he can sometimes become angry ay someone. This rarely happens, but on occasion, when he is talking to someone and they don't understand him, or if they don't side with him. First, he tries to use his calm and patient attitude to persuade them otherwise. But if they still don't comply, he starts to blush underneath his fur and becomes angry. He manages to keep his anger under control, but his tone of voice tells the cat that he or she should do something right before he blows a fuse.
While Charredrunner is nice and all, it doesn't mean that he didn't still hold some secrets and sad feelings inside. He never got along with his brother that well, but he didn't have to go and, well, commit suicide. He tells everyone that he has gotten over the death of his brother, but he is still kind of sad. To distract him from his feelings, he likes to keep busy by throwing himself into his clan duties. [He hopes to become a mentor someday.]
Charredrunner is still close to his sister, Owlcall, even though he doesn't approve of how she goes around, if you know what I mean.
You fall away from your past
But it's following you
You fall away

Ambercross and Moosefur, Charredrunner's mother and father, were an odd match from the start. Ambercross was about ten moons older than Moosefur was, so many clanmates were surprised when she, a beautiful she-cat in her prime with other better-looking toms lusting after, chose this puny youngin' that almost always had his head in the clouds. Some say that she forced him to become her mate. This was possibly true, since she was a stubborn and forceful cat, and she could have easily beat him up (and won) if he had said no. But then again, as some say, opposites attract. They loved each other, but they didn't seem to show it that much in public. In fact, she seemed to love her kits a lot more.
When Ambercross was about 30 moons, she gave birth to Charredrunner (then Charredkit), along with sister Owlkit and brother Desertkit. They had a happy, loving kithood. Their first few moons were full of memories of playing tag and battle, romping around Moonclan camp, and long naps by their mother's flank. Their mother loved them all fiercely, but was strict if they ever got into serious mischief. During those first six moons, they saw their father very little. He usually just popped his head in the nursery, and then Ambercross would leave the kits to go talk to him outside.

At six moons, Charredkit, Owlkit, and Desertkit, graduated from kithood to apprenticehood. They became Charredpaw, Owlpaw, and Desertpaw. They had all been playful, happy kits, but as they grew older, their personalities took different turns. Charredpaw learned how to be patient and kind from his mentor, who was a lovely lady named Cheetahheart. Owlpaw was still nice and polite, but she had a tendency to suck up to others if she wanted something, or wanted to appeal to then. (She ended having about two or three different mates this way.) And Desertpaw wasn't exactly darker, but he grew more mischievious and secretive. Sometimes, when the warriors weren't looking, Desertpaw stole an extra piece of pray for the three of them to share. Charredpaw felt bad about it, but he never said anything.
Later on in their appreticehood, Charredpaw started to notice that his brother had lost interest in a lot of things. He would skip training and wander around in the forest. He knew because sometimes when he was out with his mentor, he would smell the scents his brother had left behind. Charredpaw tried talking to him about his problems, but Desertpaw wouldn't talk about it.
Finally, a couple of days before the three were supposed to graduate to warriorhood, Amethyeststar had told Desertpaw that he would have to train an extra moon to catch up. Desertpaw was mad, but accepted his fate.

Finally, it was time for Charredpaw and Owlpaw to become warriors. Owlpaw became Owlcall, and Charredpaw was given the name Charredrunner. Both were happy with their warrior duties, but they felt sorry for Desertpaw. Charredrunner didn't see him that much the first moon, but the times he did, his brother looked worse. Again and again, Charredrunner attempted to talk to his brother, but he wouldn't open up to the problem.
Finally, it was the night of the warrior ceremony for Desertpaw. He was given the name Desertfox. Charredrunner had made it his mission to cheer up his brother. Even though it was unheard of, Charredrunner decided to do the vigil with his brother. Charredrunner and Desertfox stayed up much of the night, watching over the camp. Charredrunner fell asleep for a while, and woke up hours later, as the sun was just rising. Desertfox was not there. Charredrunner noticed that his scent led out of camp. He followed the scent all the way to Serenity Falls. He found Desertfox standing up next to the place where the water fell over the cliff and into the pool below. Charredrunner knew what Desertfox was about to do. He called his brother's name and tried to climb up to where he was. But it was too late. Desertfox threw himself into the waterfall. He might've survived too, if he had not happened to fall on a sharp, pointy rock. Charredrunner found his body impailed on a rock in the pool. And with the last of his strength, he dragged his brother home in the wee hours of the morning.
Nothing as eventful as that has happened since then to Charredrunner. All he can do now is continue to perform his warrior duties now, and for the many moons to come.
Something I've done that I can't outrun
Maybe you should wait maybe you should run
But there's something you've said that can't be undone
