indigohawk The forest was calm and peaceful, a cool retreat from the heat of the sun overhead. Indigohawk padded in the midst of a large hunting patrol, his blue-grey fur slicked flat to his body from his short swim across the river that banded the CloudClan camp. Indigohawk shut his eyes blissfully as a breeze rippled past. It felt delicious on his hot cheek. With his sapphire eyes hidden, the yound tom looked the mirror-image of his father, Skytomb, in his younger years. Indigohawk could see a bar of light up ahead, leaking through a gap in a couple of tall birch trees. He headed for it, pushing his muscular shoulders through the space. He then emerged at the foot of the Cloudy Hills.
The warrior's dark blue eyes travelled over the three large, tall hills that rose like heads from the grass. Indigohawk moved out of the way so that the others could get through the gap. He knew that they would be able to catch plenty of prey here - especially with five cats.

Halfpaw followed after Indigohawk, his one eye round and staring up at the tall trees. He blinked slowly, then slipped easily through the gap. He peered excitedly at the Cloudy Hills, and moved to Indigohawk's side, out of the way of the other cats. He looked up at the warrior, his small mouth a wide 'O' of awe and excitement. He couldn't wait to start hunting and help the clan. He tried to calm down a bit, but the fact that it was his first time hunting with a patrol this big made his paws shake.

Cloakedclaw
The middle tom padded his way over to his brother. It was a beautiful day, and his children were made apprentices, but there was a hollow spot deep inside him, a void that would never be filled. He had lost hi mother-in-law. She died protecting a Brightclan warrior, and he would have wanted no nobler death for such a noble warrior, but he still hated the fact that she was dead. Even more, because Ribbontail was depressed. He had wanted to stay, but knew he should be out hunting. So he came along.
Now, he stood at his brother's shoulder, looking at the large hills. Let's hunt! He meowed to everyone who came on the patrol. He disappeared into a bush and staked around, until he came up on a vole. He swiftly took its life, and right when he was done, a rabbit skimmed past his nose. He chased it and caught it. He brought his two pieces of prey back to the patrol. Oh yeah, today was a good day.
We're talking away I don't know what I'm to say I'll say it anyway Today's another day to find you Shying away I'll be coming for your love, Okay?

CORMORANTFEATHER The peaceful wilderness was way better than the hectic camp they had left on the other side of the river. A large skinny dark gray tom appeared from under the bracken and into the lush grass of the Cloudy Hills. The swim through the river made his pelt look slick and shiny. This had been his first actual patrol as a warrior of CloudClan. Well, he had been a warrior before, but it was the second time he had been named a warrior. Smiling brightly, he let the breeze wash over his cool drying fur. He looked at Cloakedclaw when he said to hunt, and boy did he go to town. He wanted to feed CloudClan like he used to. His first attempt to catch a frisky mouse failed but he was able to catch a fat rabbit. "Good catch Cloakedclaw," he said to the younger warrior when he dropped his rabbit on top of Cloakedclaw's catch.

cherrypaw She trotted along behind the gang, enjoying the swaying berry bushes and the wind on her face. They reached Cloudy Hill, the piece of CloudClan terra she had not yet adventured in. She ran ahead of the patrol excitedly. Wow! she squeaked.
Cherrypaw bounced up and down a few times before sprinting over to Indigohawk. Indigohawk! Indigohawk! Can you teach me how to hunt a rabbit?
she knew this cat was not her mentor, but her mentor had died in the battle with the Tribe of Nightmares. And Stormstar had not yet assigned her another. The overly-excited apprentice spun in tight circles before falling to the ground, dizzy.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

indigohawk Indigohawk turned to face Halfpaw as the young tom trotted after him into the clearing. His sapphire eyes glanced over the apprentice's one large eye. He smiled at Halfpaw, before taking a couple of hasty steps sideways as Cloakedclaw and Cormorantfeather burst through the small gap. He watched as the ginger tabby tom pounced on and killed a vole and a rabbit. He nodded at Cormorantfeather's words. CloudClan needed all the fresh kill it could get at the moment. He crouched, shoulders set, ready to head into the undergrowth, when Cherrypaw skittered into the space.
He straightened up with a brief nod. It looked like he was stuck with her. He flicked his ears. Oh well. Training new warriors was also a very important part of CloudClan life. He crouched down, his tail low and stance ready. "Like this," he mewed to Cherrypaw.

Halfpaw laughed shyly at Cherrypaw's enthusiasm, then looked up as he caught the scent of a mouse. He dropped swiftly into a crouch and began to head in the direction the scent came from, tasting the air and following his mouth, since he had no nose. He actually found it slightly amusing; some cat's thought he couldn't smell or hunt. This was completely untrue; he just found it a little harder than most cats. He edged forward silently, his bald shoulders tense. He blinked his large round eye as he caught site of the small brown creature scuffling around in the grass. He breathed in slowly, before edging a little closer. He tensed his hind legs, waiting for the right moment, then suddenly leapt, paws outstretched. He landed with the mouse under one paw. The small creature struggled, then broke free. The small apprentice squeaked and threw himself forwards, grabbing the mouse in his paws and delivering the killing bite. He looked around, hoping no one had noticed him almost lose it, then quickly buried it.

cherrypaw She sat quietly, or as quietly as she could. She was bursting with energy and she was vibrating in her spot. She was all jittery and when she tried to crouch like Indigohawk she ended up flat on her face and her rump up in the air. She scrambled to her paws and shot off in teh direction of the muddy hill. She trudged to the top of hill.
I'M CHERRYSTAR! HERE ME ROAR!
she yelled happily.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Halfpaw looked up as Cherrypaw darted away. He tilted his head in confusion, watching her making her way to the top of the muddy hill. He smiled as she made it to the top, and then couldn't quite stifle a giggle as she yelled down at them. He flopped onto his tummy, covering his muzzle with his small pink paws, trying to stop himself, but he had ended up in a fit of laughter. It felt good though; he hadn't had this much fun in ages.

indigohawk Indigohawk watched Cherrypaw trying to get into the hunter's crouch. He could already see she was doing it wrong, but he didn't chastise her, as it was her first time. He blinked as the apprentice slipped, landing on her stomach, and began yowling like a kit. The muscular blue-grey tom barely surpressed a roll of the eyes. He shook himself mentally. It wasn't so long ago that he had been an apprentice just like Cherrypaw and Halfpaw, excited and eager to learn. Indigohawk shook himself, watching Cherrypaw spring off. There was no sense in scolding her - she would just think him a stuffy old warrior. He knew, because he had thought the exact same thing about almost every single warrior in CloudClan during his apprenticeship.
Dismissing the hyperactive apprentice, Indigohawk noticed Halfpaw cradling a mouse. The tom padded to the giggling young tom and nodded. "Good catch, well done," he said, smiling. Halfpaw reminded him of his neice, Tansypaw, how was blind. He always fircely defended her when others said she would never be a warrior - Halfpaw was no different, in his opinion. With a last nod, Indigohawk turned around and scented the breeze. He may as well actually do some hunting, otherwise he'd be the only one returning with no prey.

cherrypaw She slipped n a rock and tumbled down the hill, resulting into a muddy mess. Her white fur was no brwn and clumped with mud. She didn't care. She jumped all around and when she noticed a little muse she gt down on the grund and gingerly crawled up to it. The Cherrypaw leapt on it with a caterwaul. She batted it around before picking it up in her mouth.
She tottered over to the nearest cat, Halfpaw, and showed him. Look!
But the problem was, it wasn't exactly dead yet.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

indigohawk Indigohawk slunk down the steep edge of the furthest Cloudy Hill. He could hear the faint noises of Cherrypaw and Halfpaw's voices further back, but he was not listening to them. The blue-grey warrior's belly fur brushed the long grass as he prowled along. His sapphire eyes were fixed on a large rabbit up ahead. The creature was nibbling at the grass, it's ears down. It looked perfectly contented, not the least bit alarmed. Indigohawk increased his pace, so that he was moving in a light run. The rabbit lifted it's head, ears unrolling and standing high. But it was too late. The rabbit thumped it's foot in alarm and turned to flee. Indigohawk pounced...
His paws seized the rabbit's sides. He dragged it back and killed it with a swift bite. The tom then stopped, sides heaving. Rabbits were fast prey - but worth it. He licked the small amount of blood that had stained his muzzle and whiskers, then headed back to the others, moving slowly due to the heavy catch he was dragging along with him.

Halfpaw continued to giggle as Cherrypaw fell in the mud. He had just managed to calm down, when the she-cat returned carrying a mouse proudly. He looked up at her, looked at the mouse, blinked a few times, then started to giggle again. Eventually he managed to speak. "Cherrypaw, it's still alive!" He mewed, rolling on the ground, giggling helplessly.

cherrypaw It is? she said, looking down at her nose, crossing her eyes. She saw it twitch, Oh! It is! She set down the immobile mouse (since she had broke two of it's legs) and killed it by biting it hard. Then she picked it up again.
She ran off to go show Indigohawk. Indigohawk! Look what I caught!

imdigohawk Eventually Indigohawk had hauled his catch over the top of the two other hills that seperated him from his companions. He threw it down, scraping some dry grass over it. The blue-grey tom then sat down for a brief rest. His sapphire eyes raked the sky. He thought about the future. What would happen to them if the Tribe never disappeared? All of them out here today were vulnerable, Evverbody back at camp was vulnerable. There was no way of escaping the Tribe. They were everywhere, like StarClan - only deadly. What sort of world was this for a young warrior? He had his whole life ahead of him. Battles, victories, losses. If he was lucky he might even find and mate amd build his own branch in CloudClan.
Indigohawk was pulled from his thoughts by the loud voice of Cherrypaw, as the apprentice padded proudly towards him. A mouse hung from her mouth, plump and healthy - a sign of the season's bounty. The muscular tom nodded. "Well done," he mewed, smiling slightly. "Stick it next to my rabbit."
