Lets say that you've never seen Onyxstealth before. Well you actually haven't, but anway. It's the first time you see him. You want to know what the first thing is that you notice? It's the most obvious trait, especially to a young kit. This tom is big. And I'm talking HUGE! He isn't fat, though. Most of the weight and giantness about him is either his thick heavy set bones or his strong muscle. He is a very muscular tom, earning his power from tree climbing when he was young and other stuff to help out, since he is very active. He has broad shoulders, thick legs with large heavy paws, a long well-muscled thick body leading to a long neck with a round head at it's end, finished off by large triangular ears and yellow eyes with an amber glow.
To add on to his massive size, lets say he has very long fur. Well, he does. With his fur on, he's even bigger! He always keeps his fur very clean (he has OCD about keeping his fur clean) and it's always very silky and soft. He usually grooms himself until he shines in the sunlight. The bright orange of his pelt usually attracts all the sunlight it can get anway. His whole entire body is covered with this long creamy light orange fur. His tail is very fluffy and actually a different color than the rest of him. Its more of a flame colored orange, a bit darker than the 'creamsicle' if you know what I mean. And his back paws are a snow white, which he also always keeps clean. But other than that, he sticks to the creamsicle the whole way through.
Genius only comes along
If you were to compare his personality to his appearance you will realize how much the two ways to describe Onyxstealth are alike. So as you can already assume, he has a pretty big personality. Every time you will see Onyxstealth, he will probably be doing something. Night or day. He barely ever sleeps. Actually, go look in the warriors den and ask them if they know where Onyxstealth's nest is. I doubt they know. Whenever he is doing something, he is always helping out. He likes to be useful but when there is nothing to do, he will probably be out on a walk. He has a tendancy of doing the apprentice's jobs. When he is doing stuff, he is amazing at doing two or more things at once. He actually says that he gets things done better when he's doing them all at once. For instance, he could probably help rebuild a camp wall on his way to taking prey to the elders den where he would ten listen to the elders tell stories, clean bedding, and make those lazy apprentices get back to work. While he multitasks, he often likes to try knew thngs. He likes to get down and dirty with experiencing new things but of course he would clean himself after words. He's very impulsive about things that need to be fixed and he is very active with making those changes too. So lets say there was a piece of prey not on the pile but near it. Onyxstealth would stop whatever he is doing and put that piece on the pile. He changes his task easily but he never forgets what he was doing before. Onyxstealth is also very charming with she-cats and now that he lost his mate, maybe that charm could be useful..
In storms of fabled foreign tongues
Calanthespirit and Cougarpounce fell in love at a young age, when they were still apprentice and Calanthespirit fell pregnant shortly after her warrior ceremony and during her pregnancy, her mate died in a battle. She realized how much she didn't even want her kits. She didn't want them to see how much of a horrible mother she would be without her mate, so she left them to Dreamstep, her best friend in the nursery. Dreamstep had lost her kits that winter to black cough and was very happy to take the kits under her wing. Before Calanthespirit left, she named the kits, Runningkit, Flyingkit, Waterkit, and Oynxkit. The three kits were never close to each other when they lived the nursery, and they weren't close to Dreamstep either. Dreamstep died in a battle protecting the kits shortly before they were granted their mentors. Oynxkit regretted not getting to know her. She seemed like a nice cat but that feeling of regret passed because he was granted with his mentor and now he could finally enjoy training like the other apprentices.
Bearstep was Oynxpaw's mentor. He was a good mentor, nothing really special with him. He was a good teacher and always made the best out of Oynxpaw's lessons. He and Bearstep became pretty close. Bearstep was like his father since he really never had a father so Bearstep was also like a role model. To this day, Oynxpaw is a lot like Bearstep. Active and always thinking. Sadly, Bearstep died in the elders den about thirty moons ago and Oynxstealth was at his side. But back to apprenticeship. Bearstep had a mate named Dewheart and she had a kit named Aloekit that was a few moons younger than Oynxpaw but since he stayed with Bearstep a lot, he got to know the family very well. When Aloekit became Aloepaw, the two spent a lot of time together, especially after Dewheart's death with her second litter. One kit from that litter survived. Umberkit. Aloepaw and Oynxpaw became very close to her and were sort of like her parents. The two became so close that Oynxpaw waited until Aloepaw was ready to be an apprentice so they could receive their warrior names together.
Aloecloak and Oynxstealth, as they were now called, were now warriors. Slowly, their relationship began to evolve into something else but there was a break in which both of them go very busy and didn't spend much time together. Umberpaw had been given to Oynxstealth to mentor. Oynxstealth loved Umberpaw like a sister but Umberpaw loved Oynxstealth more than that. Things started to get complicated. The more time he spent with Umberpaw, the less time he got to spend with Aloecloak. When he tried to spend time with Aloecloak, she made up an excuse to stay away from him and Oynxstealth was stuck spending time with Umberpaw. Oynxstealth was a really good mentor and he trained Umberpaw fast so she became an apprentice early.
Umberpaw was dubbed Umbersky, to her dismay. She wanted to be an apprentice longer so that she could spend time with Oynxstealth. So since that was over, they decided on one more hunt together before going their separate ways. Both of them knew that they had some explaining. Oynxstealth wanted to tell Umbersky that he didn't love her. He loved Aloecloak and Umbersky wanted to tell Oynxstealth that she loved him. When they reached a quiet peaceful spot, Umbersky jumped on her points first and Oynxstealth was surprised to hear how much she actually loved him. It hurt himself to tell Umbersky that he didn't love her. And he loved Aloecloak. That night she disappeared and was never seen again. Oynxstealth never told anyone that he was the reason why she left or possibly killed herself. Bearstep and Aloecloak were heart broken to find out what happened and it saddened him to see Aloecloak so sad. When he tried to approach her, she disappeared again. He knew that he had done something to her but he didn't know what.
Bearstep died a few moons later from blackcough and this time, Aloecloak went into a depression. She would just slump around camp without a care in the world. Oynxstealth was very depressed, too but with his active personality, he would hide his depression. It took him several moons until he finally approached Aloecloak again. Surprisingly, she came back to him with a heart full of love that was dying to escape. They grew into their love slowly and when Aloecloak got pregnant, they couldn't be more happier. Life for Oynxstealth had grown to be so wonderful! His sister had become Medicine Cat and he was being friendly with his siblings again. Nothing could be more perfect! Then, when the day had come for Aloecloak to give birth to kits, the perfection of life left Oynxstealth's. Aloecloak died giving birth to three beautiful kittens. One of the kittens was a stillborn but Oynxstealth named him anyway. He was the only kit that looked like Aloecloak, black as night. The stillborn was named Spiderkit and the two ginger she-cats were named Applekit and Apricotkit.
Even though Oynxstealth's life took a toll for the worst, his outlook on life is still extremely bright and he has two beautiful kittens to raise. You will never see him without a smile.
