Halfpaw peered at the other cats with one large eye. He only needed one eye, he thought, to see the effects of the battle. He sat down sadly and began grooming his bald pink ears. He was pleased that Tansypaw had been allowed to be an apprentice, as he had. He felt that all cats should be given a chance if they wanted it.

Oleandergaze nodded at Cormorantfeather and rested his head on the edge of his bed. His ears swiveled forward when he heard Dewstep's voice, and his hurt expression returned. "Hi...," he said softly. His brush-like tail flopped around.
Grasspaw excitedly ran to Spottedpaw, grinning like an idiot as he bounced alongside her with a noisy mew. "We're going to be the best warriors ever!" he boasted, throwing his front paws over his sister's shoulders.

Dewstep Dewstep nodded to her father, flashing a fleeting yet still there smile in his direction. If Oleandergaze liked him then Cormorantfeather couldn't really be that bad, could he? Shaking her head, she got on with the matter in hand. "I'm sorry that i shouted at you Oleandergaze. You didn't deserve it and i was very childish" she said quietly, touching a petite paw to one of her mate's massive ones. "Do you forgive me?" she asked, looking at him with pleading grey eyes. She hadnt meant to shout at her mate. She just hated to think she might not know her sister as well as she thought she did. [/sub][/blockquote]

The colossal tom stared down at the paw touching his, silent for what seemed like forever. The hurt expression on his face didn't fade. "Dewstep...," he said quietly. The golden-brown tom ran his tongue across his chops before speaking again. "I forgive you, as I always do and will." The male never held a grudge.

Dewstep The guilty feeling still didnt leave Dewsteps stomach as she was forgiven, as she still knew that Oleandergaze was hurt. Why was she so stupid? She drew herself in closer, laying down on the edge of her mates bed, snuggling up closer to him. "Thank you" she whispered, touching her nose gently to his cheek. Her gray eyes blinked as she let her gaze sweep over Oleandergaze, taking in his handsome golden-brown fur and muscular form. Her children would really be beautiful. "I love you Oleandergaze" she whispered quietly in his ear, twining her tail with his. [/sub][/blockquote]

tawnysky i'm so sick infected with where i live
let me live without this empty bliss selfishness
The bushes at the back of the medicine den rustled faintly as a cat emerged. It was Tawnysky. No cat seemed to have even noticed she had left the camp. It didn't bother her. Her pelt was covered in the rich scent of wet ferns, and her green eyes were distracted. She looked far happier than she had upon leaving the camp, but a vague look had not left her eyes. The young she-cat sat down and shook her damp pelt. She felt slightly nervous. She had given her coat a thorough wash before rolling in the ferns, so Eaglecry's scent was completely covered. Yet she still felt conscious. What if somebody suspected her? Would they stop her seeing Eaglecry? The idea made her heart thud painfully. She couldn't stop seeing him.
She loved him.

Tawnysky jumped as a small voice sounded beside her. She whipped around, green eyes blazing, expecting to see Skunkkit, or maybe one of his irritating denmates. She relaxed as she met the one, big brown eye of Halfpaw. The brown and white she-cat flattened her fur. She hoped the young tom hadn't noticed her agitation. "Hello Halfpaw," she mewed, still thinking about Eaglecry. She tried to erase his image from her mind, before she ended up saying something stupid. "How're you? How's your training coming along?" soulrebel The thick pelted black and white furred tom skirted his way around camp, and his pale amber eyes blinked friendlily at Halfpaw and Tawnysky, and for a moment, her passed over them completely, before realizing that, excluding the three of them, the camp was basically empty. "Hello Tawnysky, Halfpaw" he smiled at the pair, his head bending toward the two as he sat down beside both of them, his long fur gathering beside him neatly as his tail lay calmly behind his physique.
He didn't want to look distracted, but a certain scent, different, cleaned over nearly, attracted his muzzle but he blinked calmly, focusing himself on the she cat and other tom. "You like the water?" his eyes narrowed to show his own dislike of water, his smile curling farther on his maw as he said this with the moist Tawnysky in mind.

Mooncloud chanted with the clan as the kits were made apprentices. She had seen many kits become apprentices, apprentices become warriors. She felt older as her gaze fell upon the younger cats. She sighed and waited for Stormstar to continue. I guess I won't be a mentor. She thought to herself. I'm too old anyways. She comforted herself with this thought. She knew she coud answer any cats question about anything. She had seen it all. I wonder if any cat will ever listen to my stories? She wondered. She wondered if the cats would start to call her crazy when she talked of the Tribe. 'Ha. That'd be funy. These young cats will one day be old and elders and little kits will come to them for stories and call them crazy for talking about the Tribe.' Talking to herself was a way of life for Mooncloud. She was used to be alone and never made any effort to participate in the clan other than do her duties as a warrior. She sat and awaited for Stormstar to continue.[/sup]

Tawnysky nodded to the young tom, though her leaf-coloured eyes still did not quite meet his one large, brown one. The she-cat shook herself absent-mindedly, damp still clinging to her patched coat. She then realised that Halfpaw was staring at her expectantly. "Oh, yes, I'm fine," she mewed, her voice hasty and a little too bright. The she-cat then began to wash her forepaws, if only to distract from her... Well, distractedness.
The she-cat jumped again as Soulrebel's voice cracked against her eardrums. She wished she was still with Eaglecry, in that deserted clearing. It had been so peaceful... Tawnysky fought to keep her eyes carefully clean of expression. "Hello," she mewed to Soulrebel, her ears flat as she began to clean her chesr fur. Tawnysky' thoughts strayed again to the MoonClan tom that she loved. It couldn't be wrong, could it? It's not like they were doing any harm... When she looked up from her creamy fur, Soulrebel was looking at her. She tried to remember what he had just said. Water... What? Tawnysky then realised he had scented her damp fur. "S'okay. I was hot."

Halfpaw decided it was best for him to go, and padded quietly away to sit down. He looked around at the other cats, before huffing and laying down with his head on his paws. He watched an insect fly past with a distant expression on his face.

tansypaw. we are broken what must we do to restore
our innocence Tansypaw's blind green stare was fixed on the grass. She still felt uncomfortable and awkward, her tail tip dragging in the dust. She didn't feel right as a warrior apprentice. How could a blind kitten be a warrior? She wasn't sure if she was just parroting what she had always heard other cats saying behind her back, or whether it came from her heart. Tansypaw tasted a wave of loneliness coming from across the clearing. She scented the source, and recognized it as Halfpaw. She liked solving problems, as she hopefully had managed with Dewstep, so she trotted to the other apprentice.
Tansypaw flicked Grasspaw between the ears with her tail as she passed, recognizing her closest friend by his scent and the loud sound of his voice. The ginger and white she-cat stopped beside Halfpaw, her tail flicking from side to side. She knew what was wrong with the tom from what others had told her, but it didn't bother her. "Hello," she mewed politely.[/blockquote]

Halfpaw looked up, slightly shocked, as Tansypaw spoke. "Oh. Hello Tansypaw." he mewed. "What's up?" He asked, lifting his head up off of his paws. Halfpaw liked Tansypaw, he felt comfortable around her, since she couldn't see how he looked.

soulrebel The thick furred tom watched patiently as Tawnysky replied brightly to the apprentice, and his pale eyes followed Halfpaw to where he wandered off, before being led back to the she cat as she seemed to be thinking of a reply, ears flat against her head, as she cleaned her chest. She couldn't be embarrassed, could she? his mind churned doubtfully, listening to her reply, and watching another apprentice, Tansypaw come around to talk to Halfpaw. He smiled lightly as he saw this, before his black-and-white hued head turned to the warrioress again.
"Well, it must've been hot, you're practically dripping" the tom pointed out, probably exaggerating in the process, his left paw raising to point at her as if to prove his point. He blinked before looking up at the sun, and somewhere too, his ancestors in StarClan as they hid away from the day time sky, watching patiently until they revealed themselves at night. "It's not that hot..." he didn't want to pry, but he had seen the she cat before with her sister Dewstep, and she had never seemed this quick to reply, or very happy either - Tawnysky just didn't strike him as that kind. So he shrugged, ridding himself of his thoughts.

tawnysky i'm so sick infected with where i live

Tawnysky vaguely watched Tansypaw approach Halfpaw. She privately wondered how the blind she-cat would ever be able to be a warrior, but then her brain dragged her back to Eaglecry. A faint smile creased her mouth as his image again sprang into her mind. She had completely forgotten about Soulrebel, when he spoke again, making her jump horribly. The brown and white she-cat looked at the tom with growing irritation. Why didn't he just butt out?
The she-cat felt her notorious temper rising like a flame up her throat. Hot words bubbled on the tip of her tongue. She knew she probably could have thought up a convincing excuse, such as falling in the stream, or coming the wet way back to camp, but her anger wouldn't allow these logical sentences to plow from her brain to her mouth. Instead she stood up, lashing her long patched tail. "Butt out, Soulrebel," she hissed through angrily gritted teeth. "It's nothing to do with you, okay?"

Grasspaw And I know that its hard to fall On your own so I'm here so you dont have to fall alone He blinked in surprise as he was flicked with a tail but then grinned. "I'll get you back, Tansypaw!" he hollered before turning to his sister. "Oi! Spottedpaw, do you want to go out hunting with our mentors?" He rolled over on his belly, batting the air as if he was still a kit. The brown, gray, and white tom blinked his blue-green and gray eyes brightly, waving his tail.

As Spottedpaw was padding back to her spot with the other newly appointed apprentices, she was shocked when bounding at her side was Grasspaw. Sighing softly, she couldn't be disappointed for long when she was around him. "Well you are the apprentice of Stormstar," she laughed, grinning and putting her paws on his shoulders. She was no where near as social as Grasspaw was but when she was with her brother, she felt much lighter. Grasspaw really knew how to lighten up a sticky situation, if you know what I mean. She watched with wide eyes as Grasspaw rolled on to his belly and batted the air with his paw. She shook her head and sighed. "I want to go but I can't even find my mentor!" Spottedpaw exclaimed, looking frantically around for Heavenwing.

Wondering where this life will lead
Answering many desperate a plea In any weather or terrain I'll strive and fight to ease all pain
The leader's yellow eyes drifted around the clearing, his elderly mind reaching for something that he was sure he missed. They soared over Mooncloud then did a double-take. Yes, it was time that she become an elder. She had served her time well, and it was time for her to retire. "Mooncloud, please come forth. Is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?" When she accepted, he moved on. "Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest."[ooc]:// Sorry this was so late. xx; Also, I don't think they normally change their names for injuries. Mooncloud was paying attention to the apprentices when she heard her name called. She looked around, surprised. Then she walked up to Stormstar, and answered. 'I do.' She stepped back and took her place among the elders. She nodded to her leader. She sat down, realizing that she was now able to see her best friend, Icelily, more often. She looked around at the other cats and started to look forward to telling them stories of the clans in the past. She sighed happily and waited for Stormstar to continue with his meeting.

skytomb Skytomb stepped forward as Mooncloud gave up her warrior status to become an elder. He and Icelily had always been good friends with the she-cat. He remembered his own ceremony in which he had retired from his active warrior life. He also remembered the many battles he had fought, both physical and mental. It felt strange. He couldn't believe he had grown old so quickly. It seemed like only yesterday that he was a young warrior, chasing his kits Dragonflykit, Midnightkit, Pixiekit and Littlekit around the nursery... Skytomb smiled at the warm memories. "Mooncloud! Mooncloud!" he called, yellow eyes flashing with happiness. He padded to his friend and touched noses with her, greeting her as he would a new warrior. Skytomb then padded back to Icelily. He stood beside his mate, their pelts, blue and white, brushing fondly.

(( Nightmoon Nightmoon had been hiding in the shadows, having come back late from a solo patrol. He had been gaurding the camp during the fight, and the moment his injured clanmates returned, Nightmoon had relieved himself and gone back to check along the trail for injured and enemy cats. The tom had come back late, just as Mooncloud was having a ceremony done in her honor. The russet male watched from his place in the shadows as she gave up her warrior status to become an elder, and he nodded in agreement. She had served her clan to the end of her time, now it was time for her to rest. Halfpaw seemed to be sticking to the shadows as well, as Tansypaw came over to talk to the one-eyed apprentice. An apprentice, that was not trained by one specific mentor, but whenever one had time, was trained by all. He glowered at this, stepping forward and out into the sunlight.
He debated on going and congratulating Mooncloud of becoming an elder, but he decide he would go and sit by Halfpaw. Maybe then Stormstar would notice him and the bald tom. The russet cat moved careful, sifting through the other cats easily before coming up to Tansypaw and Halfpaw. He sat, flicking his ears.
"Hello Tansypaw, Halfpaw. Are you two doing alright after this...happening? You need to let me know if you two are having any troubles."
Normally, Nightmoon wasn't this nice, but he was looking for some sort of niche for him to fit in to. If he was looked at like a mean cat, he would be kind to those that are also outcasted for their deformities. He would take it upon himself to help the two before him get to where they needed to go. Besides, it would give him something to do. Any other capable warrior would have to get through him to get to Halfpaw, and he would step in if Tansypaw needed help...Of course, if her mentor wasn't around.

Halfpaw looked up as Nightmoon came and sat next to him and Tansypaw. "Hello Nightmoon." he mewed politely. "I'm coping." He answered simply. It wasn't the whole truth; he was very upset about the number of cats who had died, even if some of those cats hadn't talked to him much, he still cared very deeply for them, and every cat in the clan.

tansypaw Tansypaw was quite content to sit next to Halfpaw, listening to the ceremony go on. She chanted obediently for Mooncloud, all the while trying to imagine herself as an elder, then realising that she could not. How could she imagine herself, when she did not even know what she looked like? The she-cat heard pawsteps long before Nightmoon settled beside her and Halfpaw. She tasted the air, but it was thick with blood and so hard to identify the cat. Tansypaw tensed her small ginger and white body. She relaxed only after Nightmoon had spoken, and she recognized his voice.
The apprentice wondered why he was being so nice to her. Did he feel sorry for her? For Halfpaw, too? Tansypaw hung her head. Loads of cats felt sorry for her. She hated it. It made her even more inaducuate, even more strange. Tansypaw dipped her head respectfully. "Hello," she mewed shyly. She paused, then spoke again. "I'm... I'm sure I'll be fine, thanks.

(( Nightmoon The russet tom listened to the soft words of both the new apprentices to him, and it killed him to see them this way. The warrior looked around at the others, making a judgement of how the three of them were seen; even though it was just his clouded mind that made these things a reality. He knew that Halfpaw and Tansypaw were completely capable warriors, and he'd show them. He'd help them both.
"Well, as long as you both are handling the situation well, I guess we shall leave it at that. On to merrier news. Who are your mentors? I believe I missed that part of the ceremony..."
The tip of the warrior's tail twitched in his frustation. Too bad he hadn't been here to see the ceremony. He did care for the safety of his clan, and he had done as he believed was correct. Now he had missed all the fun, and that was such a bore. The cat loked up to the heaverns, rolling his eyes in that perturbed sort of way. It was just like the sun to chase away the night from everything fun that occured in the morning. [/blockquote]

"Halfpaw, it is time that you are given your mentor. Nightmoon, you will mentor Halfpaw. I expect you to pass down everything you know to this apprentice.
"Comorantfeather, please come forth.
