Wondering where this life will lead
Answering many desperate a plea In any weather or terrain I'll strive and fight to ease all pain
The rank stench of blood filled the clearing, abruptly hitting the nostrils of all who dwindled about. Yes, it was true. CloudClan had returned, but in vain. The Clans had lost the battle. But how do you kill an invincible enemy? It had been wasted energy. The Clans had emerged with casualties and death, while the Tribe left unscathed. Yet despite his weariness and injuries, Stormstar padded forth, and, gathering what strength he had left within himself, leapt upon the Bird's Wing. Clearing his throat, choked with blood and grief, he recited the ever so familiar phrase. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Bird's Wing for a Clan meeting!"The bright yellow optics drifted over the crowd, zooming in on the few who he would mention in this particular ceremony; Grasskit, Tansykit, Otterpaw, and a few others. No matter the melancholy circumstances of the current happenings, this had to be done. [ooc]:// Sorry, I need to write these things down, but I need to know exactl what I'm doing here... -Otterpaw will become a warrior -Indigopaw will become a warrior -Stripedpaw will become a warrior (Stripedfeather) -Hailpaw will become a warrior -Tansykit will become an apprentice, with Brokenskull as her mentor -Grasskit will become an apprentice, with Stormstar as his mentor -Spottedkit will become an apprentice, with Heavenwing as her mentor -Frostkit will become an apprentice, with Whisperwind as her mentor -Dapplekit will become an apprentice, with Ancientmagic as her mentor -Mooncloud will become an elder Note- the ones with [mentor?] beside them need a mentor. Looking for volunteers. And sorry I wasn't prepared. x.x[/blockquote]

//Ancientmagic and Fadedmemory can mentor,//(i will protect you) **Ancientmagic (i will take that piercing bullet) His ears flashed up as he heard the paws of his Clanmates. He slipped out from beneath the Clan's walls to watch as Stormstar padded in, the leader had a defeated look in his eyes. Ancientmagic`s soft eyes watched as the leader padded towards the Bird's Wing, calling out for a meeting. He padded forwards, glancing around at the cats that came into camp fromthe battle, his face worried. Had Guardedsoul gone to the Tribe instead of the Dark Forest? He shook that thought away as he sat down, turning his attention to Stormstar.Fadedmemory&&{help me regain these broken thoughts} Her ears were pressed back agianst her head as she padded into camp, leading her mate into the camp. Every so often, Fadedmemory looked down at Midnightsky, worry creasing her face. She had a feeling he would recover fully, unlike her and the accident that caused her to lose her memory. She made her way to the warrior's den, lowering the tom down and giving him a lick to the cheek. "We're back, Midnightsky. You'll be okay now. Dragonflydance and Cometpaw will patch you up better here" She mewed softly as she sat down beside her mate.

ooc// Spottedkit needs a mentor!!! >_>;
Lastfalling Lastfalling had been resting in the Medicine Cat's den the whole entire day after Astralhaze left. His plan was to leave the den when the CloudClanners returned and wait for Dragonflydance to say he could go. He wasn't in a hurry, yet he was. His wounds no longer hurt and felt as though he could run forever. Suddenly, the stench of blood filled the air around him and he silently poked his head out of the den, expecting the worst. First it was only Stormstar but then the clearing began to filter in with wounded and dead. What if BrightClan looked like this, too? He felt ashamed for not being there that day. He felt as though he should have protected his Clan. His yellow orbs wandered back to Tawnysky, still sleeping soundly in her nest. No. He had done the right thing. Slowly, he padded outside the den and sat a little aways from it, watching Stormstar with great interest. Cormorantfeather Cormorantfeather had spent a good amount of his day watching over Tawnysky in Dragonflydance's den. He had hunted a little bit but he was sure to stay and guard the camp. When they arrived home, he was sitting, picking at a plump thrush near the warrior's den. He quickly finished it, before walking over to sit beside Lastfalling. He owed the BrightClanner a lot. He had saved his daughter. Smiling slightly, he nodded to the black and white tomcat. His worried expression turned to Stormstar. The tone and the look of the cats entering the clearing meant that this had not gone well. He could have predicted that. Spottedkit Oh my! Grasskit, they are back! A small tabby she-cat burst from the nursery, a scared worried expression crossing her face as Stormstar entered the camp. He looked bloody and weak, as well did the other cats. She couldn't believe this! Why did they look so horrible? Why didn't we win? CloudClan is supposed to be unbeatable. Thats what Sunjinx always said... Tears began to dribble down her spotted cheeks and she turned back around to face Grasskit. She plopped down on her butt with a defeated expression. When she opened her mouth to speak, a tiny sob came out. "Oh Grasskit... Why didn't we win?" she moaned quietly, trying not to look at the devastation that lay behind her.[/blockquote][/sub]

Heavenwing
I want to sign your name To the end of this day Knowing that my heart was true
Let my lifesong sing to You Periwinkle optics slammed shut with disgust as a horrendous smell erupted into the clearing and swathed about her nostrils. Her heart pounded with realization as she identified the stench: Blood. Had the Tribe won? No, they couldn't have, the Tribe wasn't even real. Perhaps the Clans had gotten into a battle after finding the spectral menaces to only be something of a horrible fantasy. Or did they? What if...the Tribe was real...? Fear gripped at Heavenwing's belly at the thought. She had always believed that StarClan was the most powerful force of all, that nothing could defeat them and block their power. Apparently, she was wrong. Of course, this did not affect her belief in the existence of StarClan, heavens no. But now she knew that there was more to the skies than just them, and not just other nice and helpful gods and goddesses. No, there was much more. Evil lurked in the far reaches of the heavens, just waiting for the opportunity to strike. And they got it. The warrioress stepped out for her den, hesitating before planting herself beside Ancientmagic. Her periwinkle eyes sparkled with worry. "I hadn't thought the Tribe was real," she murmured, a hint of shyness in her tone, "but with all the blood and injuries...I'm afraid it may be."[ooc]:// Sorreh, Brook. x.x I edited that post.[/blockquote]

I SCRATCHED YOUR NAME
Barrenclaw's scruffy, collapsed body was hunched by the medicine den, not moving. He was beathing all right, but the breaths were so shallow and small that his flanks didn't budge. His face was scratched and wounded, with blood crusting around his eyes and a few trickles of fresh crimson falling to the ground below him. The blood could be cleaned but the scars and infection would not, and had he been concious Barrenclaw would have known he was going to be blind. Why was this happening to him? Was this karma? Unmoving and unseeing, the lonely tomcat couldn't make sense of Stormstar's words.
IN THE SIDE OF A BULLET.

ooc;; Midnightsky or Cloakedclaw can mentor.
bic;; He seemed to have gotten weaker on their way home, because he twitched her ear to show he had heard her, but did nothing else. He was too weak. Faded-Fadedmemory... I...Won't... Die.... I.... Promise.... The last word dragged out of him as he fought for his breath. Obviously his ribs were broken, squishing his lungs, so every breath was a battle. He rolled himself over so he was touching Fadedmemory. He lifted his eyes to look at her and his gaze was filled with all the love anycat could ever have. And it was all for her.

Fadedmemory&&{help me regain these broken thoughts} Fadedmemory looked down at the tom. She could slearly see the pain in his eyes, but also the love he had. Her eyes showed her determination she needed to help with Midnightsky's recovery. She flicked her tail to his mouth, quieting him. "You musn't talk. You'll lose more energy" She mewed gently as she lowered herself down to his level, laying close to him for comfort.

As if gaining strength from her, he lifted his head and smiled at her. He nodded his head and lowered it again. He let out a hoarse purr, shutting his eyes.
A white shape shot across the clearing. The elder lowered herself to her son and blinked, concerned. Is he okay, Fadedmemory? Icelily asked, scared that her eldest son might die.

Fadedmemory&&{help me regain these brokwn thoughts Fadedmemory smiled down at her mate, gently giving a nose a lick before rasing her head and looking at Icelily. Her eyes narrowed down as she tried to think of the elder's name. Lily.....Lily....Lily...something. Wait! it was Ice something....Ice..Icelily! She thought, her eyes becoming normal sized. "He is fine, for now. His body is weak. A few cracked ribs and a few broken ones put pressure upon his lungs. " She mewd with a soothing voice.
**Ancientmagic His eyes were on the leader as he spoke. He wasn't expecting anyone to sit beside him. His eyes flicked to Heavenwing. Ancientmagic nodded at her comment. "I had a feeling that this...force was real. But to have this feeling come true.....I feel as thought it is my fault" He mewed, his eyes looking down at his large paws.

Icelily sighed with relief. I thought he had gone to Starclan! She blinked gratefully at Fadedmemory. I can see where you stand with my son, and I can say that I do approve. She reached over and licked Fadedmemory's ear. Thank you for looking out for him. She lay back down and pressed her nose into his side, then began grooming his pelt.

ooc;; Can you make Mooncloud an elder, please?
bic;; Mooncloud stretched out from the warrior's den and padded over to her clanmates. She vaguely registered her clanmates had returned from the battle. She was tired, wearisome from being a warrior for too long. She sat quietly, awaiting for Stormstar to start talking. She tried to stretch her aching bones, but had no success. Her pelt shook as she shook herself, spraying her comrades with moss. 'Sorry.' She uttered.[/sup]

×× Astralhaze ×× --::[On your shoulder, out the storm I rode]::-- She came back from a successful hunt to a Clan that seemed to be far from that. Pain struck her and she felt her stomach stir. She suddenly had a wave of nausea thrust upon her but she kept her food down, running to the fresh-kill pile and depositing the prey. She took a couple of deep breaths and gossiped with a few cats before heading over to Lastfalling. "Looks like you're still alive," she said with a laugh that sounded divine even though it was nervous and badly placed. "I heard from Skyflight that BrightClan saved the day." She smiled at the deputy. "I'm sure Stormstar will be glad to see you off. Ghostlystar needs you."Oleandergaze & Dewstep[/blockquote] ››››// The tom had a serious leg wound. It hurt to do anything. To move. To eat. To simply lift himself upward. He doubted that he'd be called upon to go on patrols or hunts much anymore. He was about as good as an elder now. The tom didn't see Dragonflydance anyway but sat down by her den anyway so that he could be seen by either her or Cometpaw, plopping down next to the BrightClan deputy that had been rescued recently. He ached so badly, but he couldn't stop smiling when Dewstep came over to him and purred comfortingly. "Dragonflydance will be here soon," his mate said, licking his ears and muzzle before looking up at Stormstar to hear the tom's words. She glanced at Cormorantfeather and tried to eke out a hesitant tiny smile toward him. She had a feeling that she failed. She was more concerned over Tawnysky, not knowing where her sister was.» Comatose » I’ll never wake up without an overdose of you

snowkit The calico kitten danced after Spottedkit happily, though an easy frown marked her face as she realized the hurt and shattered, the dead and those simply gripping onto life. Despite having lived out of the clan when she was younger, she remembered very little of her previous life now and this had to have been the worse thing she had ever seen. Her pale amber occs blinked as she avoided her gaze tracing anything wounded and kept her attention on the she kit in front of her as she followed her into the main camp area from where they were playing near the medicine cat den. "I only have one and a half more moons until I'm apprenticed" her voice rung sadly as she knew all her friends were going to be apprentices, and with her kits Ribbontail might leave only leaving the kit afraid of loneliness. "With you guys training all day I don't know what I'm going to do" although she spoke happily she couldn't help a trace of jealousy slipping through her voice as she looked around for her foster mother, Tansykit, and Grasskit.

//I have my Whisperwind..... all he has is half a tail and a few scratches.....
//Agrey tom moved slowly through the entrance with only half a tail of when he left, his light green irises glowed with truimph, not because they one, which they didn't, but because he had one. The average sized grey tom knew that they shouldn't have gone to battle at all, it wasn't for his reason though so he just hoped no one would notice. Whisperwind moved a little faster as Stormstar called a clan meeting, I won't ever make fun of another cat again! If it's worth my tail then there's no reason to. Whisperwind shook his pelt wincing when it hurt his tail, which dangled limp until it was better, the grey tom sat gently ready to show his clan that he has changed. He looked up at the Bird's Wing and Stormstar with his light green irises.

The ferns quivered as two cats burst through the barrier. Their fur was not wet - they had taken the longer, drier way back to camp. One, a small, slender ginger tabby, was Haloheart. The other, whom she was supporting, was her younger brother Indigopaw. One shoulder was deeply slashed and one eye swollen. He was drooping against her side, looking exhausted and somewhat deflated. Haloheart guided him into the camp then set him down, where he curled up limply. The she-cat looked at him worriedly. There were not enough beds in the medicine den; only the most injured cats would be sleeping in there. The she-cat peered around, eyes widening as she caught sight of Midnightsky. The small tabby darted to his side. "Will he be okay?" she mewed anxiously. Indigopaw lay alone, a thin gurgling coming from his throat. He didn't want to be left. What if he died?
Skytomb followed his mate out of the elders' den. Even in his old age, the blue-grey tom looked majestic. But obviously intentional alterations had been made to his form. His limbs shook as he walked, and one eye squinted. The old tom padded to Icelily's side, tail resting on Fadedmemory's shoulder. "He'll live," he mewed, cracked voice saddened. "We must believe he will live." Skytomb spotted his younger son, Indigopaw, and padded to him. He then carefully picked the smaller tom up and carried him to Midnightsky's side, before letting him gently down. The two pelts, identical but for the black slices across the older's coat, melded together comfortably.
Ribbontail padded into camp, dark blue eyes still leaking salty tears. She had wanted to carry her mother's body back to camp, but when it came down to it she had been too weak. The silver bengal padded to where Tansykit and the rest of her kits, including young Snowkit, sat, and scooped them up in her small paws. She held them against her silky chest, muzzle down and ears flat. Tansykit could feel the depression radiating from her mother in waves. She alone, out of the four kits, knew the fate of Sunjinx.
Tawnysky emerged from the medicine den, green eyes anxious. Once she had spotted Dewstep and examined her, the warrior sat half in, half out of the den, her scarred body folding. The she-cat was thinking about Eaglecry, despite the devestation before her.

Midnightsky opened his eyes and noticed his younger brother with him. He struggled to move and curl himself around the younger tom, as if to protect him. He looked from his father to his mother, to Fadedmemory. I'll make sure he lives. He rasped.
Icelily leaned against Skytomb, as she shook. Her eyes were full of concern, and fear that she may lose her two boys. Take care of him, Midnightsky. She murmured softly into his ear.
ooc;; Was Indigopaw's mentor Cloakedy or Middy?
Also, Keester, do you want Shoalpaw back? He also needs his name.
bic;; Cloakedclaw appeared in the entrance, a limp body on his shoulders. He padded solemnly to the centre of the camp, and placed Sunjinx down with the gentlest of thumps. He leaned down and licked her ears, then padded to his brothers. Great Starclan.. What happened? He asked any of them.

Skyflight padded slowly from the warriors den, eyes wide as she saw the devestation that she saw enter camp. With a few jogging skips she leapt briefly onto the Birds Wing beside her mate. "I'm so glad you're ok" she purred quietly to Stormstar, rubbing her face against his before jumping back down to the foot of the rock to listen to what her mate had to say. Astralhaze was busy so she sat alone, silent in the terribe grief of CloudClan. How would they recover?
Dewstep touched her nose gently to her mates cheek as she purred quietly to him. Her eyes were a terrible mix of devestation for her Clan, grief for her mates injury yet they had a glimmer of happiness in their grey depths. She was going to be a mother! Smiling briefly to her mate she looked hesitantly over at Cormorantfeather. She should tell him, she knew that. But Tawnysky must know first. She headed over to her sister slowly. "Tawnysky?" she ventured, unsure if her sister would want to speak to her. Swallowing hard she opened her mouth again. "I have some news for you. You see, i am..Well, Oleandergaze and I, we..." she trailed off, before shaking her head hard. She was being silly, she could tell Tawnysky anything! "You're going to be an aunt!" she squealed, eyes sparkiling with happiness as she beamed at her sister.[/blockquote]

Stormstar

Wondering where this life will lead
Answering many desperate a plea In any weather or terrain I'll strive and fight to ease all pain
His wistful eyes were pained with sorrow. The leader nodded lovingly to his mate. He wouldn't make it through this without her. It wouldn't be news to his Clan of the failure; the story was told through the scars, the blood, the injured, and the dead. Grief apparent in his voice, he spoke. "As you have likely noticed, the Clans were on the receiving end of the tremor today. The Tribe was invincible. No matter how hard we tried, our attacks had no effect on them. Our claws swiped right through them. But they could attack us. It was...devastating." Stormstar's deep voice trailed off for a moment, his yellow optics gazing into nothing. "We will pay our respects after the ceremony concludes. But at the moment, there is much else to do. Otterpaw, Hailpaw, Indigopaw, and Stripedpaw, please come forth.
"I, Stormstar, leader of CloudClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them a warriors in their turn. Otterpaw, Hailpaw, Stripedpaw, and Indigopaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" After they had spoken the standard response, he continued. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Otterpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Otterspirit. The Clan honors you for your enthusiasm and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan
"Hailpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Hailthunder. The Clan honors your strength and self-esteem, if you will," he spoke those three words rather lightly and humorous, not trying to offend, only to enlighten the burden of loss, "and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan.
"Stripedpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Stripedfeather. The Clan honors your dedication and enthusiasm, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan.
"Indigopaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Indigohawk. The Clan honors your sensitivity and understanding, and we welcome you as a full warrior of CloudClan"There. He'd finished that mouthful, but he had much more to say. The leader winced as he bunched his haunches and descended, resting his muzzle upon each of their heads as they licked his shoulder. With an encouraging smile and a curt nod, Stormstar leapt upon the Bird's Wing. "We also have a few new apprentices today..."edited[/blockquote]

She licked their ears and bounced aorund. We're warriors.. She mewed in wonder. Then she looked down and saw her brothers. She touched her nose to Indigohawk's ear. You're a warrior now, Indigohawk.. ooc; Soulrebel can mentor someone xD Sorry. Bit late. snowkit The hyper calico kitten let out a gasp as all of a sudden she was scooped up by her foster mother, with her foster siblings, but she couldn't help a smile carving onto her face by the sudden act of love - or was it only sudden because Snowkit wasn't thinking of any cat sneaking up behind her? The she kit purred happily, before her voice caught, and she suddenly coughed, as a spasm of sudden, bizarre sadness ran over her. It was an emotion like no other, an emotion she wasn't used to feeling, so she squirmed and let her soft amber pools peer up at Ribbontail confusedly, head lost in the love, swimming in the sadness. It was all so strange! "I'm glad you're back" was all she could squeeze out as she was brushed against the Queen's silky chest.
Her head turned to Tansykit, the foster sibling she knew best yet felt like she knew nothing about at all, and blinked sadly, figuring that she always knew more about lifes happenings than she did - perhaps it was because of her blindness, but Snowkit didn't even understand that fully. "What's going on?" her voice managed a whisper.
[/blockquote] soulrebel The thick pelted black and white tom sat calmly as his war battered clan mates poured through the entrance, the proud toms frame slouching as he realized they had not won. He had expected them too, despite he couldn't go himself. He was now well again from whatever illness he had picked himself up, his light fiery amber occs shifted over his clan mates, then up to Stormstar as he chanted the names of the new warriors. He thought perhaps the time had come for himself to become a mentor. He'd like to be a mentor, to pass down his skills to a young, eager, ready-to-learn apprentice.
His head turned and studied the healthier members of his clan, his gaze dropping on Tawnysky with her sister, whom looked very excited as she said something to Tawnysky, mean while, Tawnysky looked like she was thinking about something. He shrugged, before turning to look at one of the Queen's greet her kits. Nursery life always looked so sweet and serene!
[/blockquote] cometpaw The pretty, young she sat stood in the entrance forlornly with what she had just seen in BrightClan echoing in her amber green eyes, the earthen hued feathers that made up her pelt hanging off of her limply, as she looked around in a lost manor for her mentor, Dragonflydance. She had missed half of the ceremony as she took her own sweet time trudging back to camp but she figured her mentor would have came back on time. "Dragonflydance?" her song like voice escaped her mouth in a whisper as she slowly made her way back toward the medicine cats den, her physique moving into a sitting position as she figured she might as well wait for her mentor here and pay attention to the leader at the same time.

// Yes, and Wolf wants to know if Hailpaw's can be Hailthunder. ^^
Indigopaw looked up dimly as his name was called. He was going to be a warrior. He had thought that when this day arrived pride would flood him, and he would be surrounded by happy cats congratulating him. He was wrong. He was broken and injured, like most of his clanmates around him. Besides, what had he done to deserve his warrior name? He had just fought an impossible battle and got injured in the process. It was nothing. Indigopaw felt a tiny droplet of pride enter his blood as he was given his warrior name. Indigohawk. The young tom didn't know it but, discounting the blood and slashes on his body, he looked the mirror image of his father on his own naming ceremony. Indigohawk smiled weakly at Stripedfeather as she excitedly spoke. "Congratulations," he rasped, dark blue eyes flickering with warmth.
Skytomb and Haloheart purred loudly as the youngest members of their family were given their warrior names. "Indigohawk! Stripedfeather! Hailthunder! Otterspirit!" he chanted, old eyes creasing with happiness. Haloheart stood tall beside her father, though he still dwarfed her. She watched her younger brothers and sister recieve their warrior names and smiled, remembering her own ceremony. It seemed like moons ago now. The young ginger tabby stretched out her forelegs, shutting her eyes. She felt ancient.
Dragonflydance bustled into camp, her white paws stained with blood. She carried the scraps of herb that she had not used in the BrightClan camp in her mouth. She flicked her tail at Cometpaw as the apprentice spoke her name. She was late because of the sheer number of injuries that had needed to be treated. The snow-coloured medicine cat dropped the bundle of herbs in her den, before joining in the chanting for the new warriors. Dragonflydance sat down beside her young apprentice, blue eyes glistening with joy for her younger siblings. Her eyes then scored the countless number of cats who still bore untreated injuries, and she sighed. They would get through this; she knew they would. Her eyes lifted to the cloudy azure sky, and she smiled slightly. They would get through this; StarClan had confirmed it.
Tawnysky lifted her head, her green eyes gleaming like two dull opals as she spotted Dewstep. The young she-cat blinked at her sister, expression not changing as she spoke. The brown and white she-cat swallowed, then spoke. "Congratulations." Her voice was small and with no real enthusiasm, but she tried, before jealousy broke from her like an escaped beast. She forced it back into it's tight cage. "Th-that's great news."

cometpaw The young she cat's amber green eyes danced on her mentor as she came in later than herself, her paws itching to go help her carry the remainder of the herbs in, but knowing she'd just look silly and Dragonflydance could handle them herself. She should have took some earlier back to camp, she realized, but was afraid all of a sudden her mentor would need them for an emergency, always the worst case scenario in her mind, so she left them only feeling the bitter twisting of her stomach telling her she did wrong. "Hello" her quiet voice spun toward her mentor as she examined Dragonflydance's blood red paws then her own, stained only and definitely not as bad, and suddenly had the urge that she could've helped more. She had healed so slowly! It was only, then again, the first battle like that she had healed at and she did well. She would improve over time; she hoped, but with her mentors wise teachings, she would have to.
As Dragonflydance's blue eyes strayed from the ceremony to the injured cats, and hearing her sigh, Cometpaw felt like crying out in despair but only letting a sad spasm flash through her as she realized there were even more hurt! Some still untreated. Some, even, dead... that couldn't be helped by her or Dragonflydance. She then watched her mentor looked upward toward the blue azure sky, and as she watched her mentor nearly smile, her own lips had to twitch in a contagious reaction as she peered with her own amber green eyes to the sky. She'd have to ask Dragonflydance what she was looking at later.

Dewstep faltered slightly at her sisters lack of enthusiasm towards her news, her grey eyes clouding for a moment. Swallowing hard she shook herself. Tawnysky had been through a lot this last while and didnt need her to get upset at her now. Maybe it just wasnt the news she wanted to hear right now. "Thanks. I'll....I'll see you later I guess" she mumbled before padding slowly back to Oleandergaze. She flashed a half hearted smile at her mate before sitting down. Her sisters opinions and feelings mattered a lot to her and she didnt want to think that her sister wasnt happy over her pregnancy. But what could she do? [/blockquote]
