Skyflight fidgeted anxiously, waiting for Stormstar to say whether she could enter or not. She began to wash herself again, wanting to look at least clean for something that could change her life forever. But what if he doesnt like me back? she thought nervously to herself. She thought she would explode with nerves if Stormstar didnt answer soon.

Stormstar looked up. "Hello Skyflight, come in." His heart fluttered with joy to see the she-cat, yet he couldn't understand why.

Skyflight padded into the den nervously. She was sure Stormstar would be able to hear her heart thumping in her chest. She sat down. Then stood up again. Then sat down again. "Oh, i dont know what to say. Its stupid anyway..." she said, looking at the ground. She was sure she was shaking like a leaf. Oh StarClan this was embarassing. She would never be able to look Stormstar in the eye again.

Stormstar blinked. Finally, a realization clicked to his head. He could never tell before, but he felt strongly for Skyflight. But did she feel the same? Is that why she was there and so nervous? Could it possibly be? "What is it Skyflight? It's okay, you can tell me. A Clan Leader should take his warriors seriously."

Skyflight looked up at Stormstar. She took a deep breath and locked her almost icy green eyes on his. "I...I think I.....I think I love you." she blurted, then broke the eye contact by looking at the floor again. She could feel her insides churning. Oh StarClan why? What was she doing? SHe loved Stormstar but he couldnt possibly love her back...could he?

Stormstar blinked. It was true. She really did love him. How could he say he loved her back? "Skyflight...I...I...I feel that way too...about you...." He felt his face burn hot. He finally admitted to her what he couldn't even admit to himself. He really did love her.

Skyflight nearly fainted with shock. "You do?!" she gasped. She ran over to Stormstar and touched her nose to his. "I'm so happy. But should we tell the Clan?" she said, twining her tail with his.

Stormstar shook his head. "I'm sure they'll notice it themselves."

Skyflight purred with happiness. "I love you." she said, tesitng the words. She liked the sound of them. "Would you like me to go and get us some prey?" she said smiling, remembering that Stormstar was her leader. Even if they were mates.

"Don't worry, I'll do that." Stormstar padded over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a plump rabbit in his jaws. He brought it back to his den where Skyflight sat. He dropped it in front of her and settled himslef beside her.
