Cloudedsky padded from her den, a cool breeze ruffling her snowy white fur. Her clear blue eyes scanned the clearing, and saw only one solitary figure. Thrushstar. She walked towards him, and dipped her head in greeting. 'Good morning, Thrushstar. How are you this morning?' she asked, paws kneading the warm ground. |

Runespell opened his eyes. He was huddled in the centre of the BrightClan camp, his nose rested against the cold fur of his mother's body. He shut his eyes tight again, trying to forget yestarday's events. He had lost Kestrelfeather, the mother he had loved all of his life. And now Pecankit and Mousekit were missing. Everything seemed to be going wrong. The lithe tabby warrior got to his paws and shook the cramps out of his tired body. Runespell gave his mother's ears one last lick, before trotting over to Thrushstar. He dipped his head in respect. "Good morning," he rasped. Noticing Cloudedsky, the warrior ducked his head to the longhaired white medicine cat. "Anything for me to do?" He added to Thrushstar. |

Cloudedsky cleared her throat. 'Thrushstar, I wanted to ask you something about Amberpaw. I'd like her to be my apprentice, seeing as she still doesn't have a mentor. I had a dream last night, from StarClan. Everything was amber coloured in the forest, and there were paw prints leading to a sleeping Amberpaw. I think this was a good omen.' she fell silent, waiting to hear what her leader had to say. |

Runespell dipped his head. "As you wish," the tabby mewed. His ears flicked as he heard Cloudedsky's proposition. "I'll take Beepaw instead," he offered, hurrying off to the apprentices' dem. He peered inside the den, looking for the golden tabby body of Beepaw. "Beepaw? Are you here?" Runespell called. |

Cloudedsky nodded her head slightly. 'I have asked her what she wants, and we have discussed it many times. She takes a great interest in the herbs and wonders about StarClan. I had already been going to ask you about this, and then I had the dream and was sure.' she said, curling her tail round her paws. 'I asked if she would like to be my apprentice, and she said she would be honoured. I think she is right for the job, but if you do not, there is really nothing I can do to change your mind.' she said, looking away slightly. |

Amberpaw looked up, alarmed. She was going to say something but then Thrushstar and Cloudedsly walked away and she decided to leave them alone. She kneaded the ground anxiously with her paws. Oh, please StarClan let Thrushstar agree to me being Cloudedskys apprentice! I want so deperately to be a medicine cat. she thought to herself, looking up into the sky with hope. [/center][/color] |

Cloudedsky nodded after Thrushstar. She turned back to where Amberpaw had gone off to, and joined her. 'Welcome to the world of a medicine cat.' she purred, spelling out that Thrushstar had agreed. |

Amberpaw took a breath in suprise. "Wow. That would of been cool. But i nkow im destined to be a medicine cat, its what ive always wanted to be. Going on patrols and fighting battles have never interested me much, i would much rather be finding herbs and looking after the Clan. Thats what i feel my part should be." she said, thinking carefully as she went along. "When will the ceremony be?" Amberpaw asked absent mindedly, beginning to groom herlsef automatically. Brindletalon exploded into BrightClans camp. "Thrushstar!" he yowled, looking madly around. He spotted the grey-brown tom and skidded over to him. Hurridly, he dipped his head to him and Cloudedsky who he knew was the medicine cat. "Thrushstar, please can you help us! The former leader of SerenityClan, Chaosfire, has attacked the camp with a huge band of rogues. There have been so many injuries and we just..." Brindletalon paused for breath, panting madly from his run over to BrightClan. He looked at Thrushstar pleadingly. "Please, Thrushstar. SerenityClan needs help" he meowed, his breath coming out in ragged gasps as he tried to breathe more deeply.

Amberpaw jumped as a mottled coloured tom came thundering into camp. She breathed in to get his scent but then recoiled at the stench of blood and rogues. She listened intently to the rogue as she sat next to Cloudedsky. She smiled when he dipped his head to her mentor. Well, at least he remembered his manners she thought to herself. She looked at Thrushstar. Would he agree? And would Cloudedsky go? And maybe even her, to help with injured cats afterwards? Amberpaw thought. [/center][/color] |

Pansyleaf followed Stormprowler and Murdercalling, blinking the sleep out of her eyes and yawning. When she registered what the warrior of SerenityClan was saying, her eyes widened and she gasped. "Chaosfire? Like, Chaosstar? No, it can't be!" She was just as old as Stormprowler, a little younger, prehaps, but she remembered those days well. More well than she would've liked.

Cloudedsky dashed quickly back to her den and gathered up mounds of herbs. She wrapped them in dock leaves and motioned for Amberpaw to do the same. Then she rushed off after Thrushstar, leaving a trail of dust behind her. |

Brindletalon sighed in relief as he listened to Thrushstars meeting. He turned tail and bolted out of the camp. he sped along until he caught up with Thrushstar and then he settled into the same pace as the BrightClan leader. He dipped his head in thanks and ran steadily onwards. Oh, how he hoped he wasnt too late...

Amberpaw nodded at Thrushstar and then galloped into the medicine cats den after Cloudedsky. She gathered up a pile of herbs and picked them up. With her mouth full to bursting she raced out of camp, keeping level with Cloudedskys shoulder. her legs began to burn and her jaw ached but she knew that she must keep going. Father and son ran stride for stride, after their leader. Murdercalling looked at Stormprowler as they cleared a fallen log. "What happens if we cannot beat the as well?" He asked.
"I don't know..." He replied.
Stormfeather raced after her leader, determined as always.

Thunderclaw walked out of the warriors den. He had accidentally slept in and the camp was roused. His eyes grew wide. "What in the world is going on?" he said to nobody in particular.

Runespell's eyes widened. The threat must be quite large, if SerenityClan had been desperate enough to come to BrightClan for help. The lean tabby warrior turned to Thunderclaw. "SerenityClan are being attacked!" he told the warrior, before streaking off after his father and brother. |
