She commanded the lead from the beginning, her colossal frame of ginger and white towering above the wave of old grass and first-budding trees. Runningcloud smiled slightly and turned to Lavenderpaw as she walked. "A new medicine cat apprentice at the thaw of winter.... What a blessed omen," she said gently.
Her ears and muzzle turned forward as the ginger femme approached the rocky stairs that led to the Moonshard. She leapt, crouched muscles propelling her upward onto the bundled rocks. She made it to the top, remembering when she had made this journey four or five Lavenderpaw lifetimes ago. It seemed so long ago and Runningcloud was aging steadily. She was still powerful and wise, but she needed an apprentice to teach in case something happened to her.
She motioned for Lavenderpaw to follow her into the cave of the Moonshard, pausing only when they reached the large crystal. Runningcloud kept silence, the shard's glow reflecting upon her battle-hardened green eyes.
"Lavenderpaw, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of a medicine cat?" she asked quietly, turning to the she-cat by her side.

Lavenderpaw's slender form followed Runningcloud steadily, asking questions only every now and then. In spite of her quietness, she was bursting with happiness on the inside. There was a spring in her step and a spark in her eyes, reflecting her still kitten-like spirit. She blushed slightly at Runningcloud's comment but kept up the pace. She stared in awe as they passed close to MoonClan and EclipseClan's dark forests, CloudClan's plain, dipping hills, and BrightClan's oak-filled territory. A smug happiness coursed through her as she reminded herself that she was the first of her siblings to see these wonders.
At the medicine cat's cue, Lavenderpaw made her way into the darkness of the cave; with only Runningcloud's scent and her whiskers to guide her. When the large crystal they called the Moonshard was reached, Lavenderpaw couldn't help but gape: the Moonshard was wonderful and glistening, and it amazed Lavenderpaw that through this beautiful thing she could communicate with none other than StarClan, like so many generations of cats had been doing before her.
"Yes." the amber-eyed she-cat replied steadily, looking to Runningcloud for what to do next. [/blockquote]

Runningcloud nodded once. "Then come forward," she said softly. The massive female turned her majestic head towards the Shard, its light casting ethereal warmth onto her features.
"Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. She has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her your wisdom and insight, so that she may understand your ways and heal her Clan in accordance with your will," she announced, her voice suddenly sonorous. The cave began to glow slightly as Runningcloud now turned to Lavenderpaw.
"Now, touch your nose to the Shard."

Lavenderpaw's heart was thumping so loud inside her chest, she was almost certain that Runnincloud could hear it. Stepping forward with a trembling step, she took a deep breath before settling down in front of the Shard. The orange tabby gulped, a little bit afraid of what awaited her, but with Runningcloud beside her she didn't want to show her fear. Gently doing as her mentor said, she touched her pinkish-brown nose to the Shard.
Almost immediately she fell into a deep sleep and dream, although it didn't exactly feel like any other dream she had ever had. She was there. She could feel everything as if it were real, and it felt... wonderful. The sky above her was black as night, but for some reason she could see no stars. Why was that? Wasn't she closer to StarClan now? Puzzled, Lavenderpaw looked around, but saw no cats.
Was this normal...?
ooc; I guess this is when SerenityClan learns about the Tribe, right...?

ooc:// Runningcloud knows about them (like the name and what the Tribe does) but she doesn't much about them, so yes, this is when SerenityClan finds out
bic:// "Sister?" came a gentle voice. A graceful, loping frame strode out, blinking bright tender eyes. Cliffkit smiled and the little kitten sprinted for Lavenderpaw, grinning. "Hi..." He blushed with embarrassment at getting hyper at his sister's appearance. "You're going to be a medicine cat?" Cliffkit's smiled widened and he nuzzled his sister in congratulations.
"Lavenderpaw?" A beautiful tortoiseshell cat stepped out, sitting alongside Cliffkit. This was Reflectstar, the leader before Jasminestar. Her aquamarine eyes twinkled as the caring former leader smiled down upon the SerenityClan apprentice. "You may not know me, but I am Reflectstar. I led SerenityClan with Jasmineflower as my deputy. She's leader now." Reflectstar smiled and nodded greetings.
Both cats seemed hazy, like apparitions of mist.

"C-Cliffkit?" Lavenderpaw asked, her eyes round in amazement. Her mother had told her more stories about Mouseclaw, her father, and Cliffkit, her brother, than she had about, say, the first Clan leaders. Now, seeing him here, even hazy as he was, she was ecstatic. "Cliffkit! Cliffkit, mama's told us so many stories about you and papa! Cliffkit, I'm going to tell mama and Freepaw and Timberpaw, I'm going to tell them I saw you!" she purred more loudly than she ever had before, and after a while it almost hurt. Calming down a little as he did, she replied, "Yes, I decided that this was the life for me." Blood rushed to her ears as pride filled her veins.
Turning as the second cat arrived, she dipped her head. "Hello, Reflectstar." It was strange, how a cat who had only a moment before been so loud and excited could now be so solemn and respectful, although it was somewhat forced as Lavenderpaw remembered how Runningcloud acted around her leader. "Jasminestar's a great leader. You'd be proud," she added, remembering how kind and youthful Jasminestar had been while meeting with Robinkit, yet how serious and well-kept she was when apprenticing her and her siblings. "I'm glad," Cliffkit said softly. The gentle kitten nestled against his sister, looking up at Reflectstar as Lavenderpaw spoke to the former leader. "My heart is glad," Reflectstar said at the same time Cliffkit did. She smiled and touched noses with Lavenderpaw. The tortoiseshell turned her head and nodded into the distance, where a dark path of stones awaited her. "Follow that path to Morninghawk. She will accept you."

Lavenderpaw, full of new determination, nodded to Reflectstar and nuzzled the hazy form of her brother before padding away, down the path Reflectstar had mentioned. She felt a little anxious without Runningcloud here to guide her, but she knew she would be fine. She tried to picture what Morninghawk would look like, reminded that Morninghawk had died many moons before and Runningcloud had been asked to take her place. Curious as to how that had happened, Lavenderpaw made a mental note to ask her mentor about it later.
Although Lavenderpaw didn't know exactly what she had been expecting, this was surely better. No sounds or scents broke into the clear air. The sky above was dark as night, but in a good way, with a kind of shade that made you feel at home. Coming to the end of the path, she sat down and waited for the former medicine cat. [/blockquote]

The female that appeared was simply ethereal. She was entirely silver, wisping off faint flickers and sparks of white from her body as she approached Lavenderpaw. Morninghawk smiled timidly; when she did, fronds of lavender began to sprout up around the two, sending the smell everywhere. "Greetings, Lavenderpaw, and welcome. You are here because one day, Runningcloud will be where I sit now, and you will need to guide your own apprentice here to see her," the she-cat said. She had died in the fights against Chaosfire, in the battle of SerenityClan and BrightClan versus the fiendish rogue.
"Lavenderpaw, when you awaken, you must tell Runningcloud that SerenityClan must meet at Jay's Hollow. There is to be a Gathering soon, to discuss the threat of the Tribe," Morninghawk said. "However, I am here with any questions you might have."
Laughter rippled across the air as cats ran in the distance, tackling each other playfully. "Hello, Lavenderpaw..." some of them called out before fading away into the horizon.

Lavenderpaw nodded, slightly fearful of this Tribe. What was it? What did it do? She opened her mouth to ask; but Morninghawk was already dissipating into the night. The sound of bright laughter rang in her ears, and as Lavenderpaw looked where Morninghawk had once been, she saw cats of all pelt colors racing eachother in the distance, howling playfully and joyfully. And Lavenderpaw could have sworn that she had seen Cliffkit, running beside a silver-coated cat who looked surprisingly like Freepaw...
& Blackie: Never Forgotten; Always Loved [/center] Blinking, Lavenderpaw was awake at the Moonshard once more. Jumping up, she turned to Runningcloud in a hasty rush, trying to get all the shards of information to make a straight story in her head. "Runningcloud! I saw Cliffkit! He was there and everything! And I saw Reflectstar and Morninghawk! She died when you were deputy, right?" leaving no time for answer, Lavenderpaw charged on in her speech. "And, she told me... She told me to tell you so you can tell Jasminestar that SerenityClan has to go to a Gathering at Jays Hollow to speak abut the Tribe!" catching her breath, Lavenderpaw added, "What's the Tribe, Runningcloud?" Runningcloud started and blinked, turning to Lavenderpaw. "Wait, wait, slow down. I can't understand you when you're speaking a Monster-run a minute," she barked. The ginger she-cat waved her paws. Her eyes twinkled when she mentioned those gone of SerenityClan. "Cliffkit, eh? Reflectstar too?" The ginger sighed slightly and nodded when Lavenderpaw mentioned the Gathering. "You must speak of this to no one except to me and Jasminestar." Runningcloud nodded and turned away, facing the exit of the cave.
"The Tribe is a malicious place. It steals the souls of the dead from StarClan and turns them into evil puppets, using them for brutal acts. They want to destroy the five Clans and cover StarClan in darkness..."
ooc:// We can just say that StarClan told the two to meet up with SC at Jay's Hollow
