Pastelsky breathed in a few times, drawing in Mouseclaw's warm scent. She wanted to stay there forever, by his side, without having to worry about anything but them....
With a jolt, she realized she had forgotten about Hyenapaw in the midst of what had been happening. Quietly slipping away to the medicine den, she searched around for her little ginger apprentice. [/center] |

Cherrysmoke looked over her shoulder as she noticed Pastelsky enter the apprentices' den. "If your looking for Hyenapaw," she called to the younger warrior. "He went out hunting earlier. He wanted to fetch you some fresh-kill." |

Runningcloud glanced up at Cherrysmoke and padded over to her. "Cherrysmoke, do you mind if I speak to you before you speak to Jasminestar?" the large orange tabby asked. The medicine cat had heard the queen's sad meows about Moonkit and it broke her heart to have Cherrysmoke to keep thinking her kit was dead. Runningcloud hastily made sure everyone was comfortable before turning to the queen.

Mouseclaw felt Pastelsky pull away. She must be looking for her apprentice, he thought, and smiled. He watched her disappear into the den, until her brown tabby tail flicked one last time in his eyesight, and turned away. He grinned at Brindletalon and Octoberlies, and settled himself by them. "Hey. You feeling better, Octoberlies?" He asked, concerned. Pastelsky was fine- and at least Octoberlies was awake, which was a big change.

Foxtail laughed and flicked Deathwish with her tail. 'Wanna come hunting with me? The fresh-kill pile was probably torn apart in the battle.' she said, and looked around to see if she could catch any glimpses of it. She saw a half buried mouse at the side of the clearing, but nothing else. |

Clearpool looked around some more for cats to hunt with. Everyone seemed to be with their close friends or mates and she didnt really want to interupt. She began padding to the entrance to camp, telling herself going hunting on her own wouldnt be so bad.

Brindletalon looked in surprise at Octoberlies. "Your sister? Oh...I never knew you had a sister" he said quietly, laying his head on his paws. He sat up when Mouseclaw arrived and touched noses with his friend. "How are you feeling?" he asked, looking searchingly at his friend. he hadnt seen him properly since the battle and wanted to know that he was ok. [/center][/color] |

Pastelsky sighed, relieved. "It's not often an apprentice fights in a battle on their first day of training," she said, moving outside of Runningcloud's new den before flopping down on the ground. She was exhausted, and part of her was glad Hyenapaw would get some hunting in. She should go hunting, too. But should she wait for Hyenapaw to return? Or should she just go now? She decided to leave now - maybe some time in the forest would help her clear her mind.
Noticing Clearpool, the new deputy, pacing around the clearing, she padded over and meowed, "Clearpool, I'm going hunting. Want to come?" she was thinking of asking Cherrysmoke to come too, and she turned to find the queen who's kittens were soon to be apprenticed.

.ooc; Runningcloud would only know that he was safe, not where he had gone. BUt she'd know about the Tribe.
Cherrysmoke looked annoyed for a moment, then bowed her head. "Sure," the queen replied, drawing away from Jasminestar and standing beside the medicine cat.
Octoberlies gave Mouseclaw a weak smile. "Hey, Mouseclaw," he rasped. "I'm feeling a bit better." The tom looked at his paws. "Yeah... I don't speak about her often," he lied. |

The medicine cat tilted her head to Cherrysmoke. "Do...Do not worry about Moonkit. He is safe, I reassure you," Runningcloud said softly, giving her a tired but encouraging smile. "I do not know where he is, but he is not dead. I pray that StarClan will keep him safe, wherever he may be..." She bent her head to lick Cherrysmoke's ear before turning to Octoberlies. She remembered Butterflypaw in her meeting with StarClan at the MoonShard. She flashed the tom a warm smile before turning to Pastelsky. "Pastelsky, if you're not busy, could you get some food for the patients after you go hunting or at least send a couple of apprentices or unhurt warriors?"

Clearpool turned her gaze upon Pastelsky and nodded. "Yeah sure, i was just looking around for someone to go with" she purred quietly. She heard Runningclouds request and nodded. "We shall hunt for the patients, Pastlesky do you want to see if we can find Hyenapaw when we are out? Emberpaw is hust so ill leave her" she said, before catching a bit of Foxtail and Deathwish's conversation. "Would you two like to join us? We can split and meet up at the end or all stay together, I dont mind" she asked her blue eyes gazing at the two warriors.

Brindletalon nodded at Octoberlies and touched his nose gently to his cheek. "I'm sorry" was all he said, giving his friend a wan smile. He sat up properly again and began grooming himself as his fur was all matted from the battle. [/center][/color] |

"Thanks, Clearpool," Runningcloud said, nodding gratefully. The medicine cat turned away from everyone, hastily gathering herbs for those still in pain. After checking on Octoberlies, she sat by the entrance to the medicine cat den for a small nap unless she was needed.

Pastelsky nodded, and headed out the fern tunnel silently. SHe would have loved to go hunting with Mouseclaw, but he should rest - and maybe some time alone would help her clear her head.

Mouseclaw touched noses with Brindletalon. "I'm feeling fine, what about you, though?" When Octoberlies spoke, he grinned at him and flicked the other tom's shoulder with his tail. "Good. We're all very, very tired, but it was a battle well won, I think." He saw out of the corner of his eye Pastelsky leaving, with two other queens. She needed time to be on her own, and he was sure she'd enjoy hunting with friends again. Plus, he was sore on his left flank, and could feel the wound scabbing over. There had been no time to get it treated before leaving with Runningcloud. He turned his head and licked it gingerly, wincing.

Octoberlies watched Brindletalon for a while, then turned his head as he felt eyes upon him. He smiled, slightly confusedly, back at Runningcloud, then peered up at Mouseclaw as he spoke. The lean grey tabby let out a purr of agreement. "It certainly was," he mewed, wishing that he too could join a hunting party, to feed the injured. But he was one of the injured. With a sigh, the tabby asked; "Where's Hyenapaw?"
Cherrysmoke eyed Runningcloud warily, checking for signs of untruth. "Really?" she mewed, her expression filled with intense hope. She gave a loud purr, her heart swelling with happiness. The young queen turned back to Jasminestar, her eyes glimmering with joy. "Jasminestar?" she mewed, her tail tip twitching. "Jasminestar, may I talk to you please?" |
