Cherrysmoke hovered around the entrance of the warriors' den, wondering if Crescentgaze had got back yet. She had had a nice nap in the sun whilst he had been out training Mousepaw. It was strange to not be able to just poke her nose into the warriors' den and find him there. She sighed. There were a few warriors eating fresh-kill, sharing tongues and gossiping among themselves, but none she really wanted to talk to that she could see. She had watched Foxtail and Deathwish leave camp on hunting patrol, and though she had never really spoken to either of them, she sometimes spoke to them. The red-brown queen groaned. She was stuck in camp like a beached whale all day with no cats to speak to accept her litter, and intelligedible chat was hard to come by with kits. She sighed, sitting down and hoping Dancingleaf might wake up. |

Deathwish limped into the camp, carrying Foxtail. He saw Cherrysmoke and waved his tail urgently at her.

Cherrysmoke gasped when she saw Deathwish and Foxtail. So that was why the two cats had taken so long on their hunting patrol! She hurried over to them, taking Foxtail from Deathwish's jaws and looking around frantically. "Littlesong! Littlesong! Someone get Littlesong!" She yowled. She then began to lick Foxtail's wounds free of blood and debris. She then looked up at Deathwish, eyes narrowed with worry, and mewed "What in StarClan's name happened?" |

Deep in sleep the Medicine Cat was. He had gotten no sleep the night before because of a sick cat that needed to be treated all through the night. His yellow eyes flickered open when he heard the yowl the third time. He gruntted as he stood and peered out the den. Seeing the cats, he sighed and grabbed some cobwebs, marigold and poppy seeds to start and if it was broken, he would get something else. With a sigh, he trotted out of the den and dropped the herbs near Foxtail's head. He gently placed some cobwebs in the wound, then, he set marigold snug in the cobweb's tangles and pushed it down farther in the wound. He looked at it. It was sprained but not broken. Since it was sprained the only thing they would do it wait. He pushed the poppy seeds at Foxtail's mouth and motioned for her to eat. |

'Thank you.' she sighed, and lapped up the poppy seeds. She seemed unusually drowsy now, as if the fight had drained her of all energy. She just wanted to curl up in her mossy nest. But she managed to keep her eyes open, because she wanted to see that Deathwish was alright. |

The small tom stared at Deathwish with his one good eye, the other stared off into the distance but they were both narrowed. He blinked a few times but kept his eye on the two. "Well,"he growled to the tom and stepped forward,"What's wrong with you?" |

Cherrysmoke padded over to Foxtail, licking the warrior's ear. She then heard Littlesong's sharp words to Deathwish and strode over to the two, blinking. "Be fair," murmured Cherrysmoke in the black warrior's defense. "I suppose Deathwish got hurt by the badger as well. An Foxtail said he helped her back." |

Littlesong was getting very annoyed at Deathwish now. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Well, Deathwish?"he meowed and began to gather his herbs together, "If you can not acknowledge the existence of the Medicine Cat when he trys to talk to you then I suppose there is nothing wrong. Ever so slightly, he growled and picked up the herbs before he began to pad back to his den. |

Foxtail was getting annoyed now. She knew she should respect the Clan medicine cat, but that was just unnecesary. 'Um, Littlesong? Deathwish has just saved me from a badger. If he hadn't been there, I would be dead by now. Please help him.' she mewed quietly, keeping as modest as she could. She was exhausted after the fight and just wanted to sleep. |

Littlesong blinked a few times and set the herbs down next to his paws before he turned back to face Foxtail. "I have tried to speak to him but he has ignored me. I would help if I knew what was wrong,"he meowed and turned to face Deathwish,"Come to my den when you're done speaking with Foxtail and you can move her to my den as well. That is, if you can hear me." He then picked up his herbs and continued back to his den. |

Dancingleaf padded lazily out of the nursery. She really didn't mind being in camp all day; the nursery was warm and soft. She would kit soon, very soon. When she saw the scene that was unfolding itself in the clearing, she darted over to Cherrysmoke. "What happened?" She asked, wincing at the wounds Foxtail bore.

Cherrysmoke hissed angrily at Littlesong, forgetting her natural respect for the medicine in her stubborness. "Just look at his wonds, you grumpy bag of bones!" she hissed, red-brown fur fluffed up in fury. She did not know why Littlesong was being so awkward - unnesceraily - but it was really ruffling her fur. At Dancingleaf's question she quickly explained to her friend what had occured, before whipping the air furiously with her long tail.

As Deathwish licked her ear, a tingling feeling went through her spine. She was feeling the way she hadn't felt for a long time, since Thunderflash... she didn't want to thinking about that, so she just followed Deathwish into Littlesong's den. Her wounds had just stopped bleeding, but as soon as she started walking again, they bled freely again. |
