_{The sun was beginning to set into the horizon, carelessly spilling streams of golden light over the hills. The long bodied form a tom cat was lit up slowly in the falling light, his movements still strong despite the second cat that was draped over his back and shoulders. Climbing up a cliff face was hard work as it was though with another cat on your back.. things got worse. Silver didn’t mind doing it; he felt care for every injured animal. He would have to treat her once he was back in camp, he did know the basics of a medicine cat. Sighing gently he made his way into camp, his eyes alight and searching for the radiant leader of the clan. Carefully he set Scarletpaw down and gave her nose a tiny lick, felling around her body with his paws for any more breaks. Tipping his head he sighed, tears slipping down his cheeks. “Don’t fail me now..” he murmured before straightening out her leg. He yowled out for any one to hear, “I need a piece of bark and some strong, long roots.” He would have to make something for her leg to place the bones back together and keep it all in place. First he would have to crack her bones back into place then have to put her paw on the wood then attach it to it with the strong roots. He licked his lips, brows furrowed with thought. "Anyone" he yowled out sharply, trying to keep his voice gently to that he didn't hurt the poor she-cats ears.}

^{A tabby tom padded into camp, his tail dragging on the ground but in his mouth he carried three long strands of root and four pieces of bark that was smooth but hard to break. He dropped them at the silver tom's paws and looked up at him. "Whoever calls me a fool is the fool himself,"he hissed and whipped around. Keeping his head and tail low, he stalked over the the Medicine Cats den in search for some herbs.}

_{Silver smiled at him, feeling guilty for snapping at the Tom. "Crescent.. I'm sorry, thank you for the herbs" he meowed. Shaking his head he closed his eyes and whispered softly to Scarletpaw. "This'll hurt.." before he lay one hand on ankle, the other on her paw, he then forced them together, holding the bones in place. He set her leg upon the bark before tying the root tightly around it, all was in place though the pain would be terrible if she didn't get some poppy seeds.}

^{Crescentgaze entered the Medicine Cat's den in search for poppy seeds and comfrey. His friend had had a broken leg before and the former Medicine Cat used comfrey to help the broken bone. It was a kind of flower and it was pinkish purple. He looked around for a while and found the comfrey in the corner of the storage. He grabbed some along with the poppy seeds which weren't that hard to find since they were used a lot and exitted the den. He walked quickly over the the two cats and set the poppy seeds down on the ground. He started to chew the comfrey so it was easier for Scarletpaw to swallow and set it by her mouth. He took the poppy seeds and put them in the comfrey. "Please open her mouth,"he ordered Silver, not in a mean way.}

_{"Comfrey" Silver exclaimed, oh why hadn't he thought of Comfrey. Smiling at Crescentgaze he slowly opened Scarletpaws mouth. "You need to swallow this Scarletpaw.." he soothed, this in a more fatherly way than anything else}

[SHADE. :D]

Cherrysmoke followed, her blue-green eyes full of jealous hatred when she looked at Scarletpaw. It was so obvious that she was in love with Crescentgaze! She glred at him, hoping he would see the look of pure loathing she aimed at him. The red-brown warrior than hissed at Silver. He may be helping Scarletpaw, but why did they need a loner? The she-cat flounced into the warriors' den and curled up there, head on her paws, eyes still full of irritation as her tail thrashed from ide to side.

^{Crescentgaze felt suddenly proud that he had thought of that but he really didn't care anymore. With his paws he pushed the comfrey and poppy seeds into the apprentices mouth and motioned with a nod for Silver to close it. He stepped back and waited for something to happen. But out of the corner of his eye he spotted Cherrysmoke walking into the warrior's den. He flicked his tail to Silver and padded after her. He entered the den and sat in front of her. "You okay?"he asked.}

_{Silver closed Scarletpaws mouth carefully, though turned round to look at Cherrysmoke. He caught the fury in her eyes and bristled, it seemed all clans had forgot when he had done for them back in the old ages. None of them cared any more. He didn't hunt he didn't steal, why did they all hate him. Snarling to himself he stlalked out of camp, his head down.}

[SHADE. :D]

Cherrysmoke looked up at him with a hurt look in her eyes. "You and her," she mumbled, flicking her tail angrily. "You just forgot about me. I caught a huge rabbit for us to share, but since you were with her, I gave it to the elders nw."
The rd-brown warrior looked more hurt than angry now; she turned her head away from Crescentgaze to rest it on her paws.

<sup>Light amethyst eyes opened suddenly, and she shot up out of her dreams. Coughing terribly and loudly, her whole body was tense and shaking. Her heart was beating rapidly as the painful memory was brought back. Now, if she told her story to another cat, they wouldn't think of it as a big deal. But that one moment she was floating there with nothing beneath her paws was frightening, but in a way comforting, although she didn't know how. But she had gotten bruises and a broken leg by when she threw herself back onto solid land, she had landed in an awkward position. Right now she didn't want to think about that, so as she was coughing she began to think of Cherrysmoke.

As she shot a brief glance towards her, she could almost see the anger in her eyes. She knew she had feelings for Crescentgaze, and apparently she didn't care that they were as small as a single mouse.
Sorry,
she choked out the words, knowing only Cherrysmoke, if her at all, would know what she was apologizing for. Most cats knew Cherrysmoke and Crescentgaze secretly loved each other, just didn't admit it yet. They would make the perfect couple, so why was she budding in?</sup>

^{Crescentgaze felt horrible. At first he didn't know what to say to her. He looked at the ground and sighed sadly. "I heard her cry and I wanted to help her,"he meowed,"I almost fell off the cliff myself." He choaked on his words and started to feel the tears coming. "Oh Cherrysmoke,"he mewed quietly,"I'm so sorry." He never looked up.}

_{Silver stopped in his tracks, none of them even thanked him. He walked over to Crescentgaze and sat down, his dark eyes hurt. "Thank you for mentioning the tom who rescued you.." he whispered quietly, he looked around then suddenly realised that Sightlesskit wasn't anywhere. Blinking he turned around rather frantically; "Where is teh kitten? The blind one? You didn't leave him on an open cliff did you, any bird could get him!" he cried out helplessly.}

[SHADE. :D]

Cherrysmoke ignored Silver, and looked at Crescentgaze, eyes blazing. "Why should I care? It's not like your my mate."
The cat looked away.

^{Crescentgaze looked at Silver and nodded. "I'm sorry and thank you for saving me,"he meowed and sighed. When Silver started to look around franticly Crescentgaze did as well. He had been so jelous about Scarletpaw that he had forgotten about Sightlesskit. "StarClan kill me now!"he muttered under his breath. And it was then he turned back the Cherrysmoke. "I'm so sorry,"he repeated and bounded towards the entrance of camp.}

The small kit however, was fine, he in fact crashed in to Crescentgaze's chest as he ran out of camp. With a mew he flailed around frantically like he was under attack. "Don't hurt me" he squeaked, laying his paws on his ehad.</sub>

^{Crescentgaze skidding to a hault. He looked down amazed that the kit was right at his paws. He licked the kit's head rapidly and soothed the kit with purrs. "Sightlesskit,"he mewed gently,"It's me Crescentgaze. Don't be afraid." He smiled and purred again for the blind kit was safe.}

Ooc; It's not in Sunset.... She's just stubborn like Squirrelflight. I havn't read it either Razor, you know that.
Bic; Cherrysmoke sniffed and looked away.

_{Sightlesskit was soothed by the light words and smiled, nodding his head slowly he stopped his movement and piced his way over to the Warrior. He sat beside him, looking blindly out into camp. "Can you.. can you lead me back" he mewed, not sure where to go any more.}

[brook]

^{Crescentgaze smiled and nodded. "Of course,"he mewed and rested his tail on the kits shoulder. He walked forward and back through the camp entrance. When he had left he thought that no one liked him anymore but maybe he was wrong. He walked slowly so the blind kit could keep up but then he thought of Cherrysmoke.}

_{"Thank you.." Sightlesskit meowed softly, he stumbled forward and curled up beside Cherrysmoke, not really realising where he was. Closing his eyes he breathed in her scent, suddenly feeling relaxed. "Mama" he couldn't help but mew softly, it was what he normally did with She-cat, it got him so confused.}

^{Crescentgaze smiled as he watched the kit go to Cherrysmoke but he turned to Silver. "Thank you again,"he whispered,"Do you think we should take Scarletpaw to te apprentice's den instead of having her laying there out in the middle of no where?" His gaze fell on the apprentice but then the thought about Cherrysmoke again. She just wouldn't get out of his thoughts. Her beautiful pelt, her eyes, her voice. He loved everything about her.}

<sup>Her painful line of coughs ending, she scrambled to her feet and glanced around her. Cherrysmoke, Jasmineflower, Crescentgaze and Silver. But the results of her staying on her paws were terrible; she collapsed onto the ground, leg throbbing with pain. She held back a yowl and tears, and hoped one of the cats noticed so they could fetch some cobweb.

^{[[Just saying... Why would she need cobwebs? I gave her poppy seeds but I didn't think she would be bleeding... I'm confused.]]}

Cherrysmoke looked down at the kit for a moment, eyes glazed with indignation, then they softened when he spoke. She licked him roughly between the ears in a comforting way, then stroked him with her tail. "Your safe now," she promised.

Sightlesskit nodded into her fur and soon fell asleep, comforted simply by her soft words. Silver looked over at the young apprentice and walked over to her, oh the mysteries of love. Shaking his head he looked from Crescentgaze to Cherrysmoke to Scarletpaw. Thank goodness he only had eyes for his dear Sunjinx.

Cherrysmoke sighed, and licked Sightlesskit once more. She looked up at Silver and gave him and apolegetic nod, her bad moond passed. But her frostiness towards Crescentgaze had not yet thawed. She glared at him with ixy hardness in her blue-green eyes, before resting her head on her small, red-brown paws and closing her eyes.

^{Crescentgaze gazed at Scarletpaw for a moment but turned to Cherrysmoke. He padded over to where she slept. "Cherrysmoke?"he whispered though knowing she was awake. He didn't want to disturb Sightlesskit.}

^{[[ Fine then, just ignore the injured one with a broken leg. ]]}
