~'Blind' with /grief/~

Leopardflight trailed back into camp some time around moonhigh. Her pelt was smeared with dried blood and dust. She went straight to the warriors den, not bothering to eat even though she hadn't eaten since that morning. She lay in her nest, not sleeping, just thinking about what an idiot she had been. If I hadn't been such a jerk, Runespell wouldn't be half blind now! And he wouldn't hate me! Tears clouded the she-cats vision and then overflowed in torrents.

[SHADE. :D]

A rustle punctuated the muttered curses erupting from between the tightly laced lips. The tabby cat stumbled through the eyes, both eyes wide open. A soft half-moan, half-croon rumbled in his throat. One eye was waxed over in a milky white surface. The other was hazel-brown and diluted with fear. The tom's paws tangled in a fallen branch and he tripped, sliding on a sheet of late ice. He slid with a whhosh of air, yowling loudly. He crashed through the branches of the warriors' den, colliding with Leopardflight.
Runespell found himself n top of the she-cat. "I know you, don't I?" he smiled lop-sidedly. "Leopardflight! Good to see you." He clambered off of the warrior and began to paw at his blind eye.

'Runespell?' she sprang up when he collided with her. 'Are you alright? And why are you talking to me when I was such a jerk to you?'
Ooc: He sounds like he's on drugs!

[SHADE. :D]

[ooc;] I know. <3
[bic;] "Why wouldn't I?" Runespell mewed. He scratched his cheek. He shook his head. "Uhh. It feels weird with only one eye. And its hard trying to be happy." He smiled sadly at Leopardflight, leaning against her.

[fernie. (:]

Ooc: Oh, I get it, so he's not delerious!
Bic: Leopardflight gave him a quick lick on his head. 'I thought you hated me...' she miaowed, just as sadly. She pressed close to him, her tears wiped away on Runespell's soft tabby fur.

[SHADE. :D]

"Never." Runespell mumbled. He licked her. "It's just gonna be so hard. Can you still love a crippled tom?" He looked at her seriously through teary eyes, face serious.

[fernie. (:]

'Are you seriously asking me that question? Runespell, I love you, and nothing will ever change that! I'll help you the best I can. I'll help you with your fighting skills, get you used to it with one eye. I'll never leave you on your own.' she sighed, a long, exhausted sigh, and realized how long it was since she had eaten. She didn't care right now. She pushed her muzzle into his fur and tears started flowing again. 'I thought I was going to lose you.' she mumbled.

[SHADE. :D]

Runespell pushed his muzzle into her fur, savouring that moment. Tears slid from his eyes. he first time he had cried since he had got a thorn in his pad as a young kit. The icy cascades buried themselves in the she-cat's mottled fur, blinking breifly back at Runespell before crystallizing. "I love you too."

The warriors den was so warm that Leopardflight was very comfy in it. She was getting drowsy but she couldn't sleep without something to eat. She sprinted as fast as she could to the kill pile and grabbed a huge rabbit. She hauled it back to the den. 'Here, let's share.' she said, and started taking hungry bites, savouring the meat on her tongue.

[SHADE. :D]

Runespell licked her chin. He ate slowly, still trying to get used to his blind left side. It made him feel disorientated. and if he concentrated too hard, nauseated. He swallowed his last bite, got to his paws, stretching, then swayed. He scrabbled at the ground and found his footing again. He looked nervously at Leopardflight, the sighed. "You could have a much better, more full tom than me, you know... I wouldn't mind. I understand."

[fernie. (:]

'Are you trying to get rid of me?' her whiskers twitched in amusement. Then she got serious. 'Runespell, I'll never love another tom as much as I love you. Live for you, die for you. I've never loved anyone as much.' her voice was quieter as she said the last sentence, realising this was all true.

[SHADE. :D]

"O-okay."
Runespell licked her ears, wondering if it was all just a dream. A horrible, teasing dream. But as he gently poked Leopardflight's flank with a paw, he knew it was all real. He nuzzled her then curled up, leaving a gap big enough for her to curl up in.

Leopardflight curled up with him, knowing they were going to stay there all night.

[SHADE. :D]

Runespell awoke to the feeling of Leopardflught's pelt brushing his own. A smile danced on his lips as he eased himself from beside her, trying not to wake her. He sat a mouse-length away from the cat he loved, delicately cleaning a paw with one brown eye on Leopardflight in case she should wake.
Finished with his grooming, he got to his paws, stretching every fiber of his athletic bodice. His blind eye was still strange to him, but he had begun to accept it now. He padded out of the warriors' den with a spring in his step, feeling elated. He suddenly thought of Rebweb and felt guilty that he had not thanked her properly. He dashed out of camp, and was gone for a good hour or so. He returned with a heavy rabbit youth dangling from his jaws. He dropped it outside the warriors' den, before seizing a mouse and starling as well. He dropped the starling in front of Leopardflight, then gently shook her with a paw. "Wakey-wakey."
The tabby looked around. "Rebweb? Are you here?"

Leopardflight opened her eyes to see Runespell standing in front of her and the delicious smells of fresh prey coming from the starling. She gave a huge yawn and sat up. 'Good morning!' she purred to Runespell, then licked his ear affectionately. 'Is that for me?' she nodded towards the freshkill, eyes hopeful.

[ooc]; Mm. Perhaps he could involve an affair later on in zis relationship with Runey and Reddywebby. Though Runsespell in the end decides to stay with Leopardflight. :3

Redweb’s fur had been pricking all through the night, nightmare’s had snagged at her mind like a claw and had been driving her into nasty twitches. Dreams of foxes had haunted her, all through the night the great monstrous create had stalked her till he caught hold of her and nearly killed her. She had woken up just as its fang had been at her neck and ran out the Warrior’s Den. She had been up for the rest of the Night, sitting out of camp shivering and glaring at the moon, waiting for the sun to come up. Her long silky black fur rippled in the soft breeze as she moved into camp. Her poor legs were stiff as she moved; sitting in one place and not moving for hours didn’t exactly doing them any good. Sighing she stretched out, her long spidery leg pushed out in front of her, her claws flexing lazily as she shook the pain from her bones. Sunlight trickled over her back from the gaps in the trees, washing her in a soft yellow glow. Ad her name was called her ears flicked slightly, turning her head round she spotted Runespell. “Mm?” she mumbled and walked forward, the sun warming her body as she walked over to him and sat down.

Runespell winked at Leopardflight and pushed his muzzle into her soft fur with a loving purr. "Of course."
He then looked up at Rebweb, pushing the rabbit towards her. "This is for last night," he mewed. "Thankyou." He added graciously.
The tabby then picked up the mouse and crouched next to Leopardflight to eat it, pelt slight;y brushing her's

Ooc: Aww poor Leopardflight!
Bic: She crouched down to eat the starling, crunching bones with her strong teeth. The morning was bright, and the sun was shining through fluffy clouds in the sky. As she ate the starling she wondered if the whole of yesterday had been one big nightmare. She was sure it wasn't though, it had been too heartbreaking to be a dream.

_{"It's alright.. thank you Runespell" she said softly. Smiling slightly at him she nodded her head, flicking her tail she tapped him on the shoulder in thanks before turning to the rabbit. As the scent of the prey danced in her throat a sudden feeling of sickness rose in her throat. Cringing slightly she swallowed heavily before closing her eyes a little. The memories of the fox in her dreams stung her again, she had scented rabbit on the beasts breath while dreaming and its bloodies body was still splattered on its fangs.. Moaning lowly she rose one paw to her head and turned it away, blinking at the ground. "Oh curse you dreams" she mumbled to herself, curling up next to the rabbit. She wanted to sink her fangs into it so badly though the fear of throwing up seemed to great.

^{ooc; And when Runespell goes back to Leopardflight and Redweb's sad and depressed, Cinderface will come and comfort her! Yay!^^}

Murdercalling padded into the den, blinked sadly at his brother and curled up into a tight ball.

[ooc;] Who's Cinderface...?
[bic;] Runespell smiled at Rebweb. "No problem." He felt a bit peeved when she did not eat it - he had put the effort in to catch it for her. He felt hurt that she seemed to be rejecting his thanks and apolegy. He turned to sit beside Leopardflight, licking her ears. He was aware of Murdercalling entering the den, but ignored his brother. Instead, he sked Leopardflight and Rebweb: "You two want to come on patrol with me?"

[FIREH!!]

"I'm sorry," Murdercalling whispered.

[fernie. (:]

'Sure. Can't Murdercalling come too?' Leopardflight asked, hoping it wouldn't cause another argument. She licked her chest for something to do while they answered.

Redwebs eyes watered as the scent of the rabbit stung her nostrils. "Oh.. Runespell I am ever so sorry, do you mind if I eat this later, I had a nasty dream last night at it frightened me. I feel rather sick at the moment." She mewed shuddering though taking a small nibble of the rabbit to show she wasn't rejecting him. Smiling a little she chuckled as she watched the two cats. "It's like your mates or something" she began to purr with amusement before turning, digging a small hole she buried the plump lovely rabbit. Scraping the dirt back over it she set a daisy on top, this so she remembered where it was.

Runespell ruffled up his fur, twitching his ears slightly. He tried to ignore Leopardflight's words; he didn't want his brother anywhere near the cat he loved. Turning to REbweb, he mewed: "Coming, you two?"
