Walking upon enemy Clan territory would've scared Eaglecry, but right now, he had to get away from MoonClan. Too many things were happening at once in his mind, and he needed to get away. His ears flicked slightly, so that he could keep alert if a CloudClanner decided to attack him. His tail flicked slowly behind him, as he stepped in between the reeds, mud sucking at his paws. His fur prickled slightly, and whiskers twitched. He didn't really like mud, but if he was going to wander here, he'd have to. Eaglecry paused, shaking his forepaw of the dirty mud, and finally made it to some grass. He sat down, wiping his dirty paws on the ground. Something about this part of CloudClan territory made him a little uneasy, so his tail flicked slowly behind him. Thoughts about Fallendove, his dead sister, filled his mind now, and that old hatred flared up in him. A soft hiss escaped him, as his fur prickled even more.
Eaglecry pushed himself up, and shook out his coat. He continued along the reeds, not going anywhere deeper inside of CloudClan territory. His ears flicked as he walked, his striped and spotted coat glistening with a little bit of water that had splashed up on his coat on his trek here.

The sounds of faltering pawsteps filled the quiet stretch of CloudClan forest. The sun shone through the treetops, sending dappled light onto the scarred back of Tawnysky. The brown and white warrior hobbled through the trees, the grass brushing her red-raw flanks. She winced, face screwed up. The she-cat peered up at the azure sky through the leaves above her head. Tawnysky wondered how the day could be so beautiful, so serene, when such cruelty was being performed. Anxiety for Dewstep drenched her. She felt guilty bubbling uncomfortably in her throat.
Suddenly she wrinkled her nose, the slashes on her face bunching up. The scent of MoonClan tainted the air. Her mouth curled into the beginnings of a snarl, but she let it fade on her lips as agony pricked at her cheeks. The brown and white warrior had only woken a couple of suns ago. Dragonflydance had told her to exercise her limbs, but not to leave camp under any circumstances. She had ignored the orders, bored and isolated in the camp. The brown and white she-cat limped rapidly through the trees, green eyes, the only part of her unchanged by the attack, fixing onto a tabby shape. Tawnysky hissed at him, hostility burning in the leafgreen depths. She knew she could attack him, but her fur rose in the places scars did not mark it.
"Why are you here?"

Fur prickled slightly at the sound of the hostile voice, and Eaglecry slowly turned around. His own blue eyes stared at the green ones that stared so angrily at him, and his ears flicked back. A small smirk appeared, and his tail swayed casually behind his body. "Merely walking, if that is a crime," the MoonClan tom shook his head slightly, and sat down. He didn't flinch, as his eyes swept across her body, the scars being taken in, and processed within his brain.
She had recently been in a fight, that was one thing that Eaglecry could tell. "Well, I guess it is a crime, considering I am on your Clan's territory." He chuckled casually, but that angry feelings swept through him. This she-cat made him think about Fallendove. He shook his head slightly, claws digging into the ground.
His eyes remained upon the CloudClan she-cat, wondering if she would attack him. He surely did deserve it, for he wasn't on his own Clan's territory.

Tawnysky lashed her tail angrily, flinching as painful claws raked her flesh. The brown and white warrior blinked indignantly at the MoonClan tom before her. She bared her sharp white teeth at him, but her anger was draining away, to be replaced with exhaustion. She knew she should drive away the tom, but he wasn't doing any harm, and she just couldn't find the energy. Besides, she had no chance of driving him away, not when she was in this state. Tawnysky sat, tail curling painfully around her paws. She felt warmth slide down her shoulder and sighed; one of her wounds had opened again. Great.
Tawnysky twitched her shoulders in irritation. The brown and white CloudClanner fixed a cold green gaze on the MoonClanner, ears flat. She stayed silent for a moment, then spoke, her voice little more than a spit. "Your name, MoonClanner?"

The tangy scent of blood washed over him, and ears flicked forward ever so slightly. "You alright there, miss," he asked softly, pushing himself up in case she needed any help. Head tilted to the side a little, watching her coat, in case any more of her wounds were to open. "You should really go see a Medicine Cat a rest." His tail swayed slowly behind him, as he looked at her angry green eyes once more. Eaglecry could get lost in them. He sat himself back down, paws shuffling slightly on the ground. "There is no need for such an attitude you know." His words were so low, it sounded more like a breeze than his own voice.
His ears tilted forward again, and he exhaled. "The name would be Eaglecry," he said, whiskers twitching ever so slightly. "What would your name be?"

Tawnysky licked away the scarlet substance from her wound, trying not to flinch. She didn't want to seem weak before this MoonClanner. The brown and white she-cat gave a sharp nod, green eyes narrowed. "I'm fine," she snapped. The she-cat glanced back at the throbbing wound, before raising her head again. She snorted a little at the tabby's next words, but knew he was right. Tawnysky looked at her paws until her green eyes cleared once again. The she-cat's gaze flicked up to the light blue sky, praying StarClan would be with the battling cats; Dewstep especially. She had almost forgotten that the MoonClan tom was there, when he spoke again.
"Name's are easy." Tawnysky smiled for the first time, though the shape was still twisted as the scars on her face were pulled. The warrior stared at Eaglecry, digesting the name. It wasn't just a word - it suited him. She examined his broad shoulders and mottled brown pelt, the likeness to an eagle's plumage and power visible. Smiling again, Tawnysky looked up into his eyes. "They call me Tawnysky."

The tom was quite taken aback by her snappy-ness, and his tail flicked against the ground. Ears flicked ever so slightly, as the CloudClanner in front of him ran her tongue along her wound. He winced, remembering that Fallendove would've looked like that when she died. Only ... not moving. He felt guilt wash over him, but he didn't say a word about it. He plastered on a smile, and nodded to the she-cat.
"Well, Tawnysky. It was nice to meet you," he said, as he couldn't tear his eyes away from her. What in the world? Somewhere inside, that spot that no one could ever find, was slowly taking over him. How could that have happened?
"I should really get going. Before some more of your Clan comes and tear me apart." He pushed himself up, his shoulders moving slowly as he stretched out his forepaws. He waited for her to speak; to see if she would tell him that he really needed to go.

Tawnysky could sense the unease beneath his calm look. The brown and white she-cat narrowed her eyes at him. She knew the emotion, because she had felt it herself. Every day. Every night. Every waking momeny. Tawnysky thought of Dewstep and Oleandergaze together, and jealousy filled with her heart. The CloudClan warrior sank her claws into the dirt, teeth bared. She had completely forgotten about Eaglecry when her vision cleared. The she-cat cleared her throat as though to cover up her moment of rage. She watched as Eaglecry rose to leave. She sensed no real motion behind his words. Standing suddenly, Tawnysky limped towards him and blocked his path. "Don't go."
She could not believe that she had said it. But the words were out now. Tawnysky brushed past him and sat again, wincing as she did so. The twisted smile was on her muzzle again, and she twitched her ears in an invitation to sit down with her. She didn't know why she wanted to speak with his tom. They seemed to have a lot in common. Both hiding things, both uneasy, both hurt inside. "It seems we both have secrets."

Cringing slightly, Eaglecry watched the she-cat. She could probably read him like a book, the way his eyes would darken ever so slightly when he thought about his sister, the one who was in StarClan now, looking down and not caring one bit that her younger brother was tortured by her death. Whiskers twitched, as he watched the she-cat move in front of him. "You don't want me to go?" He tilted his head ever so slightly, quite confused by the cat's actions. He was from an enemy Clan, and yet she didn't want him to leave?
Still utterly confused, he flinched as Tawnysky brushed past him, and sat down. He let out a soft sigh, and walked over to her side, sitting down beside her. His eyes went to her wounds, sorrow washing over him. "I believe we do." His voice was low, but it was still loud enough for her to hear him. Tail flicked ever so slightly, as he thought about sending Midnightraven after Fallendove and Stillkit.

Tawnysky was content to sit beside him, thinking about her own feelings. Her words had not been a prompt for him to share his own secret. The brown and white she-cat ran her tongue over her scarred body, trying to wince as her tongue passed over the sore slashes. The warrior thought about Dewstep, fighting for her clan against the Tribe. Tawnysky shuddered as she thought of the spectral cats. She remembered her own fight against a Tribe cat. She had nearly lost her life. She still felt shame prick her paws as she thought about the BrightClanner that had saved her. She had got thinking about him, too. Why had he been on CloudClan territory? He couldn't have accidentally crossed the border. He had been too far into the territory for that. Tawnysky shut her eyes, only for the Tribe cat's leering face to swing towards her in the blackness. The she-cat stumbled back with a hiss. "No!"
Her voice, strangled and terrified, died in her throat as she realised nothing was there. Tawnysky shivered. She hadn't told any cat, but since the attack she had been recieving the most terrible dreams. The scarred warrior swallowed, looking back at Eagecry. Her bold green eyes locked onto his own gaze, ad though daring him to challenge her outburst.

Quite frightened by Tawnysky's actions, Eaglecry pushed himself to his paws, eyes widening. "What in StarClan's name -," he began, but cut himself off to just stare at her. Something had to be going through the she-cat's mind to have her burst outloud like that. He settled back down next to her, tail laying flat against the ground, his eyes still on her. Studying her. Trying to read her.
Ears twitched, as the sound of some reeds moving nearby caused his heart to grip with fear. Another CloudClan member? Nope. A mere frog. It ribbited as it passed the two cats, not bothering another soul, just hopping on its merry way. Eaglecry settled down for the second time, and his heart unclenched. "So," he began, his blue eyes going up to the sky. Wow, this was sure boring, he thought, as he watched a few birds fly overhead. But, silence always was a good thing.

Tawnysky lifted one paw, this scarred by a small nick. It seemed that no part of her body had escaped the attack unharmed. She drew her rouge tongue over the creamy white fur, her green eyes down. The brown and white she-cat pricked up her ears as Eaglecry spoke, a single syallable. The CloudClan warrior bristled, despite the pain thay ripped through her torn pelt. Tawnysky rose to her paws, her eyes burning. "Go on, leave," she mewed, eyes blazing. "Go on. It's what you want." Tawnysky turned her back on the tom, her tail curling neatly around her paws.
She didn't care if the MoonClan cat wanted to go. She wasn't even sure what had called her to ask him to stay. Tawnysky licked her paw again, the scratch stinging. She lifted her ears, listening out for the tom's retreating pawsteps. She needed to make sure he had gone before she snuck back to camp. Tawnysky rolled her eyes, anticipating a thorough telling-off from Dragonflydance.

Ears drawn back, and he pushed himself to his paws. A sudden anger flared through him, and he hissed. "Fine, I might as well go then," he turned, though he didn't move from his spot. Tail swayed ever so slightly, and he exhaled. Glancing back over his shoulder, his ears flicked forward. There was no use in arguing with her. But, he didn't want to leave. Not when he barely knew her.
"Listen. There is no need to be so emotional around me," he said as he turned around, walking to her side. His fur brushed against hers briefly, as he sat down. He was so tempted to run his tongue along her shoulder, over her scarred body, but he held the urge back. His tail tucked neatly around his paws, as his blue eyes watched her.
"Obviously, something is bothering you. Care telling me," he asked, whiskers twitching ever so slightly, as he continued to watch her.

Tawnysky's whiskers rippled with annoyance as the tom spat at her. She fluffed out her tail as though she did not care. The brown and white she-cat whipped around, ears flat, as the tom spoke again. She bared her teeth at him, boldness flashing in her green eyes. "Don't flatter yourself," she hissed, tail lashing from side to side despite the pain. Tawnysky shivered when the MoonClan tom brushed past her, and turned to face him, the anger dying in her eyes. The she-cat looked at her paws, searching for an answer.
The CloudClan she-cat swallowed. "The Tribe attacked me," she mewed, her voice tight. "That's where I got the scars from." I'll never have a mate now... The thought blustered over her heart like freezing wind. "I can't close my eyes, I can't leep, without remembering it. It's like it's there again, ready to kill me." Tawnysky pressed her nose into her paws, shivering.

Sympathy washed into Eaglecry's blue eyes, and he pushed his nose into her shoulder gently. He knew about the tribe, having heard about it from his own Clan. He sighed deeply,"I am so sorry." Ears twitched, as he kept his nose on her shoulder, trying to think of what to say. "So that is what was bothering you?" He didn't know if he would tell about having killed his sister, and her kit. He closed his eyes, and withdrew his nose from her shoulder. Eyes opened again, the blue watching her carefully.

Tawnysky's shoulders twitched as the MoonClanner pressed his nose to them, but she did not move away. She nodded curtly, lifting her head from where it lay rested on her paws. The brown and white she-cat didn't feel ready enough to share her jealousy of Dewstep and Oleandergaze's love with Eaglecry - at least, not yet. Tawnysky blinked a couple of times, the silence washing over her like gentle waves. The CloudClanner found it strangely comforting to be sat with the tabby tom, his nose on her shoulder, her tail laying innocently over his.
Tawnysky turned her head on one side, breaking the spell. "Your turn." Her voice was low and measured, but probing. She had told him her problem - it was only fair that he shed his burden onto her. The CloudClan warrior fixed her piercing green gaze on the tabby tom, unblinking, unfaltering, bold and bright. She was ready for anything, ready to accept anything he had done. After all, it couldn't be any worse than her own track record.

He didn't want to break the spell that had suddenly taken over the two, but there it was, bursting like a bubble. When Tawnysky spoke, his ears twitched at her voice. He looked down at his front paws, his tail lficking ever so slightly. "Well. I basically ... sent one of my fellow Clan mates after my sister. To kill her and her daughter. For being traitorous to our Clan." Eaglecry shook her head, and sighed. "I was really sorry for it, after Midnightraven came back and told him that Fallendove was gone. He looked up at her, blue eyes saddened. He quickly looked away, ears drawing back against his head. A knot formed in his stomach, expecting Tawnysky to tell him to leave.
His muscles bunched underneath his coat, readying himself if he had to leave. He didn't want to, but if Eaglecry had to, then he would. His tail lay still on the ground, as he waited for the she-cat's voice to meet his ears.

Tawnysky pricked up her ears, folding her paws beneath her chest with a small wince. The brown and white she-cat rasped her tongue over one leg, blinking. Despite her apparent distractedness, she was listening intently. The CloudClan warrior's ears quivering as he spoke. For a moment she said nothing, digesting the information, then nodded. "I wished my sister and her mate to death," she mewed, voice stark and expressionless. "If they've been killed in the battle I'll never forgive myself. It won't stop me hating them, though."
Tawnysky flicked back her ears, her tongue swilling the inside of her mouth. The brown and white she-cat turned to fix her leaf-coloured stare on the MoonClan tom again, unblinkingly. The she-cat could feel the fizzing of their deeds in their paws. They had a lot in common, for two cats in enemy clans. Completely different clans. Opposite's. Tawnysky finally lifted her bold gaze from Eaglecry's face and peered up at the sky, wondering if her mother was watching her. Her nose wrinkled. Don't be silly. She'll be watchinf Dewstep, just like always. The she-cat couldn't stop the jealous thought piercing her brain, though she tried to pummel it back.

He wasn't surprised at what the she-cat said. He sighed, and lowered himself onto his own stomach, laying down beside her. Ears flicked forward, alert, in case any cats from her Clan stumbled upon them. Eaglecry was still afraid that he would be discovered. That urge to run his tongue over Tawnysky's wounds came up again, and he shook his head, whiskers twitching slightly. "So, despite being in seperate Clans, we do have things in common," he said softly, his blue eyes turning to look at her. His ears flicked slightly, as a soft breeze rustled the foliage nearby.
Shifting his paws underneath his body, his fur brushed against her once again. Swinging his tail, he let it rest beside his body, right near hers. He wasn't paying attention to his movements, but she probably was. Thoughts of Fallendove came to mind, and he sighed gently. He missed her, and wished she could forgive him for doing what he did. "Tawnysky. How come you didn't want me to go," Eaglecry asked, turning his eyes to the sky.

Tawnysky smiled cannily at the tom, her ears pricked high. The she-cat blinked, her green eyes clear and bright - the only unmarked part of her body. The young warrior licked a forepaw thoughtfully. "It would seem so," she chose her words carefully, plucking them from her brain like bones from a trout. The she-cat's fluffy, ochre-stained tail twitched as Eaglecry's tail brushed it, but she then let it lie again rather than moving it away. The she-cat blinked, her leaf-coloured eyes dazzling as she realised he had used her name. She swallowed, thinking over the question.
Tawnysky stayed silent for several heartbeats, comforted by the presence of Eaglecry's tail lying over her own. The brown and white warrior then lifted her head, arching her neck, her expression unreadable. "Nobody in CloudClan understands me," she mewed, keeping her voice light. "Life is a blessing to them." She let that hang in the air, leaving the rest of the statement unsaid. You seemed to understand better than them...

She didn't answer my question, he thought, his fur prickling slightly as he moved his forepaws from underneath his body. Claws gripped the ground firmly, and he yawned, sharp teeth shimmering slightly. Eaglecry looked at her as she spoke, blue eyes curious. "Your Clan never understands you? Seems like that happens a lot. No one understood why Fallendove chose a cat in SerenityClan." He shrugged, the best a cat can, and a small smile appeared. "I guess she just didn't find any of the MoonClan cats that interesting. Except for Midnightraven, who I guess in her mind, was her pretend mate, while she ran around with the other tom."
He looked at Tawnysky, wondering if she would anything about his sister, or what he had done. His claws gripped the ground again as he stretched, shoulders rippling underneath his spotted and striped coat.

Tawnysky flicked her ears as the tom yawned, trying to stifle a yawn herself. The she-cat stretched, the warmth of a bright newleaf day beating down her back. The tendrils of weariness were beginning to creep into her mind, and she knew she would have to return to camp soon. But not yet. She pricked up her earsm pushing away the mist of her thoughts, and listened to Eaglecry again. The CloudClan warrior unsheathed her claws and flexed them absent-mindedly, the tips scoring deep ruts in the mud. She nodded at the tom's words, her green eyes thoughtful.
"My sister is the complete opposite," she mewed, trying not to found too bitter. The she-cat drew her tongue over one paw, before continuing. "Good at everything, never putting a foot wrong. She chose a mate in CloudClan, but to be honest they're all too tame." Tawnysky shook herself gently, her fur fluffing out. The she-cat did not feel bad about badmouthing Dewstep. She had left her when she needed her most - to be with Oleandergaze. Tawnysky's scarred pelt rose slightly, her irritation spiking the air.

His eyes watched her movements, and he flicked his tail, the tip brushing over her side quickly. On purpose. Whiskers twitched as he let out a soft purr as he spoke next. "Too tame? Yeah, I guess I can see where you get that from. MoonClan cats. Well," he chuckled, pushing himself up to his paws. He shook out his coat, and stretching his paws once more. He turned to face her, tail swaying slowly behind his body. "Tawnysky, are you hungry? We can get something to eat," now, he didn't mind hunting on CloudClan territory. Besides, he was with Tawnysky, one of the Clan members.
He looked around, wondering what kind of food they had here in CloudClan. His stomach grumbled, protesting to him that he should eat now, or else it would fail him in the long run. Eaglecry ignored his stomach, as his blue eyes remained glued to Tawnysky.

Tawnysky fluffed out her patchy fur, her green eyes grazing the tom's face. The she-cat shivered as Eaglecry's tail tip brushed her flank, but she still did not move away. The CloudClan warrior turned her head on one side, thinking. She wondered why she was so reluctant to leave this tom. He was an enemy warrior. But he seemed more like her than any cat in CloudClan. Tawnysky twitched her tail at his proposal, her ears flicking forward. "I suppose we could," she mewed softly, getting to her paws with a small shake. "We're so lax about borders anyway."
Tawnysky twitched her tail tip, opening her mouth to scent the air. The scent of a blackbird brushed over her tongue. The slender she-cat dropped into a crouch, ignoring the pangs of her wounds and the itching weariness scratching at her brain. Instead she concentrated on the scent of the creature, and keeping her paws soundless in the leaf litter. Tawnysky crept forward. She could now see the glossy black feathers glistening in the sun, through a screen of holly bushes. Tawnysky threw herself into the air, paws thudding down on the bird. She pinned it and killed it swiftly with a bite to the neck. The brown and white warrior then drew back, pain reverberating through her forepaws. She licked the blood from her muzzle and whiskers, before trotting neatly back to Eaglecry, the blackbird dangling from her mouth.

"Totally different from MoonClan," he said softly, more to himself than anything else. He flicked his tail slowly, his jaws parting to scent the air. When he saw Tawnysky stalk off, he smiled, and watched. Blue eyes danced, as he spotted the black bird, then her body pouncing on it, killing it suddenly. Something inside flared, deep within his heart, something that he hadn't ever felt before. Head tilted to the side, as he watched Tawnysky approach. "Nice catch there. Lets see what I can do," he said, pushing himself to his paws. He opened his jaws once more, trying to find the scent of something to catch. Nothing.
Quite frustrated by this, he moved a few pawsteps forward, tail swaying slowly behind his multi-colored body. As the scent of a vole nearby wafted over his scent glands, his eyes caught a large rabbit near the reeds. He stalked forward, toward where the vole was, but kept an ear directed toward the rabbit. Suddenly, he pounced to the left, straight toward the rabbit. He jumped into the air, planning to come down onto the rabbit and kill it. He was nearing the ground when ...
BAM!
He landed on his paws, the rabbit dashing away into the reeds. "Foxdung," Eaglecry hissed, his tail lashing through the air. Embarassment washed through him, as he turned his head, blue eyes going to Tawnysky. "Uh ... I mean ... I so meant to do that," he smiled slyly, and wondered if the CloudClan she-cat knew he had been showing off. And failed miserably.

Tawnysky watched Eaglecry trot off into the undergrowth, striped tail held high. One eyebrow rose, her eyes narrowed and filled with amusement. She could see he was showing off, puffing out his chest and strutting into the ferns. Something rippled inside of her, a feeling she had never experienced before. Was he showing off for her? Tawnysky shook her head, focusing on Eaglecry. She watched, holding her breath, as he stalked, leapt, and then...
Tawnysky purred in laughter, eyes screwing up. She flattened her ears, hissing in mirth. The brown and white CloudClanner sauntered past Eaglecry, purposely trailing her tail over his flank. "'Course you did, 'course you did." Tawnysky padded into the trees, the cool grass feeling pleasent on her pads. The she-cat tasted the breeze, and tensed. She could scent mouse. The she-cat turned, used to hunting amongst the long, lush green stalks of grass. She spotted a quivering grey-brown lump. Tawnysky shivered with the joy of the hunt, before hurling herself at the mouse. Her injured paw buckled beneath and she spat in pain, but lunged forward with her teeth just in time to drag back the naked tail of the mouse. She killed it, shaking her paw vigorously to try and ease the pain. The brown and white warrior threw the mouse down at Eaglecry's paws. "There," she mewed, smiling. She then leant over the blackbird and tore into it hungrily, spitting out a mouthful of feathers.

Body had shivered as Tawnysky ran her tail along Eaglecry's flank. His blue eyes watched her, interested in what she was doing. Ears flicked forward, and he shook out his coat. Letting his tail sway, he sat down, watching as she caught the mouse. He stretched his forepaws out, and smiled when she came back. "That was a nice catch as well, Tawnysky," he said, a bit jealous he couldn't have caught the rabbit. He smiled, and watched her dig into the blackbird. He sighed, and took the mouse, bending down, ripping into the rodent.
He ate it quickly, not wanting another CloudClan cat to stumble upon him. Yes, he had been there way to long now. "I really should be going," he finally said, as he had finished his meal. He ran his tongue over his forepaws, then his forepaws over his ears. "I have really enjoyed meeting you, and talking with you, Tawnysky. Maybe we can meet again somewhere?" Had he just suggested that to her?

[ooc]:// Could I bring Skunkkit in, like he's sneaking away from camp? He's young so he won't understand that they're in love. He does understand the ways of sneaking though, so he wouldn't tell the Clan. I just haven't gotten to do much with him yet.
It's totally okay if you say no. I don't care that much. ^^; [/blockquote]
