---Gravedancer
It felt as though he was sneaking into his own terratory as a enemy, not a friend. His long body weaved by large sap trees, careful to not get in coat in the sticky substance. But every so often the sweet scents would draw him in and he would take a lick of the sap, savoring each taste. Then he would remember that he was on a mission and pull himself away.
A sharp scutteling would catch his attention, and immidiately he would crouch down into a hunting position, one paw after another. With his accurate eye-sight he caught the prey in range. Resuming his position he quietly made pace towards the unsuspecting critter. Suddenly, he leaped. Claws extended and ivories sharp he pounced on the mouse and silenced it's struggles with a bite.
Proud of his catch he scratched the earth and buried the mouse for later pickings. Smelling the air for any other scents he continued his hunting. It wasn't long till there was another scent in the air. Feeling as his luck was rising he took a low stance to the ground with his belly almost touching the ground. He moved on with long gliding steps, everytime stopping to smell the air and look for his prey. The smell was anonymous as the forest blended so very well with everything, but there was something peculiar about it; prey.
On his voyage of searching for the scent that brought him so far into this part on the terratory he began to feel that it wasn't a mouse or bird but a cat. The forest was known to hide the scents of their rivals, but for it to be hidden so well seemed unusual. Usually, you would be able to detect them with that feeling in your gut that someone was coming, but no adnormal feelings engulfed him. He continued on, paranoid. Was someone following him?
He swung around for the last time, steering his body in the oppositie direction he had been traveling. "Come out!" He hissed with claws unsheathed. "I know you are here," Maroon eyes switched back and forth as if expecting someone to jump out of the bushes. He knew someone was here. Enemies?
