Hunting

'It's okay, it's not your fault a badger's on our territory.' Eaglefeather said comfortingly. 'You'd better go and get Dragonflydance to put something on that wound. It looks nasty.' He lifted his paw and licked the top of it where it was cut and bloody.

[FIREH!!]

"I didn't catch ANYTHING!!" he sobbed, brying his head in his sister's fur.

bic: Eaglefeather decided he would go and see Dargonflydance later. He was exhausted, so he went into the warriors den and curled up in his nest of moss.

[SHADE. :D]

Halopaw looked at her brother, licking him with fierce love. "It doesn't matter, it's leafbare!" she comforted him. She nudged the tom. "We'd better go to Dragonflydance and get some herbs."
"No need, she's already here," came a warm voice. It the medicine cat, Dragonflydance. The small, pretty white she-cat with sapphire eyes approached Sunjinx first. She gently began to wrap the queen's wounds with cobwebs. "What happened here?" she asked her little brother and sister, Halopaw and Cloakedpaw.

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedpaw gulped and smiled at his sister. "Thanks," he purred. "A badger attacked Sunjinx and Eaglefeather." he reported.

[SHADE. :D]

Dragonflydance stopped for a moment, surprised. "I suppose the badger was hungry too," she murmured. Badgers did not usaully appear in daylight. Wrapping up the last of Sunjinx's wounds, she padded away from the ginger and white cat and approached Eaglefeather, beginning to wrap his wounds too.
Halopaw nodded to affirm what her brother had said, pale blue eyes full of anxiety.

Eaglefeather thanked Dragonflydance, the stinging pain had died to a dull throb. He then limped over to Sunjinx. 'How are you?' he asked.

[SHADE. :D]

Sunjinx shook herself irrtably. "Fine," she rasped, licking Eaglefeather's shoulder. "Thanks for saving me."
Halopaw suddenly wailed and ran over to Eaglefeather, pressing herself against the warrior. The tiny ginger tabby was shaking violently and tears of shock and fright poured from her bright blue eyes.

Eaglefeather looked shocked as the little cat ran over to him. 'Woah, what's wrong? Halopaw, what is it?'

[SHADE. :D]

The little cat just snuggled further into his fur, hiccoughing as she tried to stop crying. The badger had scared all her courage away, and now she was cowering in fright. She shivered and looked up at Eaglefeather with huge, apolegetic blue eyes: "They should never have made me an apprentice," he sobbed, ashamed.

Eaglefeather wrapped his tail round Halopaw, trying to comfort her. 'Why not? I'm sure you're not that bad!' He joked.

[SHADE. :D]

"I am, I am!" she sobbed, echoing her brother's earlier distress. "I should have helped, not just stood there like a frightened squirrel!" The apprentice' crying eventually died down to a soft snuffling.
Sunjinx padded up to Halopaw and nuzzled her. She then licked Eaglefeather's ear. "Thanks again. I'll make sure Cormorantstar hears about this."

'It's okay.' He said softly to Sunjinx. 'Halopaw, you would have been seriously hurt if you tried to do anything. You did the right thing to let us handle it. And I'm sure you're a great apprentice.' He smoothed some of the apprentices pelt with his tongue.

[SHADE. :D]

Halopaw smiled weakly at the warrior, a little reassured. "Thanks," she mewed, licking his nose, then backing away.

Eaglefeather smiled at the apprentice. 'No problem.'

[SHADE. :D]

Sunjinx smiled breifly at the ginger tabby apprentice, then began to herd her back to camp. "Come on. You too, Cloakedpaw." Halopaw glanced back at Eaglefeather with huge, glistening blue eyes, then padded after Sunjinx.

ooc: i think Eaglefeather has a bit of a crush on Sunjinx... not that its gonna go anywhere though, or Silver would kill him!

Bic: Eaglefeather stared after the pretty she-cat for a minute. Then he decided he should go and tell Cormoranstar about the badger.

ooc: who plays Cormoranstar?

Ooc; Sunjinx would claw him before Silver got to him. xD Brook.

Cloakedpaw saw her sister wailing and went over to comfort her, but she was smiling by the time he got there. He then just padded onward behind Sunjinx, hanging his head low.
