Just The Two Of Us (Ribbon and Cloaked)

[FIREH!!]

The furry cat, known as Cloakedclaw padded to the lake's edge, and peered into its depths. "There are beautiful fish swimming in here," he murmured.

[SHADE. :D]

The moonlight was soft as a gently caressing hand as it shone down upon the clearing. The light dazzled upon Ribbontail's coat, outlining her beautiful features in shimmering light. Her silver coat lit up like a glittering beacon, the ebony spots shining with a sleek sheen. The bengal warrior padded over to Cloakedclaw, her pawsteps silent as they hit the springy green grass. She nuzzled into Cloakedclaw;s soft ginger neck fur, purring quietly. "Not as beautiful as you, my darling."

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedclaw's eyes fell upon the silver bengal. "As are you," he purred. "Would you like to hunt?" he asked her.

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail looked up into Cloakedclaw eyes, her own dark, glittering blue ones filled with love and passion. "Whatever you want, my love." She nuzzled against him, her soft silky fur brushing his thicker ginger fur. She admired every aspect of his being; his strong, broad shoulders, his sturdy limbs, his long, furry tail and, most of all, his bright, loving eyes. She purred again, loud and clear.

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedclaw smiled. He fished in the lake and pulled out two fish. He killed them and gave one to Ribbontail, purring.

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail smiled and took the prey from Cloakedclaw. She dropped it at her own slim silver paws, and darted one into the water. She speared a large, sleek fish on her long, hooked claws. She brought it onto the bank and killed it. She put it aside, then flicked her tail at Cloakedclaw. "There. We've fed the clan." She bit into the fish's shimmering side. It was delicious. She ate quickly, then leaned up against Cloakedclaw. She asked the question she had longed to ask long ago. "Cloakedclaw; would you ever want children?"

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedclaw began to chew his fish. He looked up at the question. "Yes." He meowed. "I want to have a family, like my parents."

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail felt joy wash over her. "My mother messed up," she mewed. "She mated with wanderers and traitors. But I want to be better. I want you. want you to father my offspring. Will you?" Her question hung in the air. If he ccepted, they would be mates.

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedclaw eyes her for a minute, to see if she was kidding. "Yes," he meowed.

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail leaned forward and licked Cloakedclaw's nose. "We can be mates now," she breathed. "I don't care what anybody says." She loved this tom with all of her heart, every fibre of her being ringing with affection for the ginger tabby. "We must tell StarClan of our choice." She knew how this worked. Her mother had told her. She and Cloakedclaw must lie side by side, fur touching, and sleep until morning. They would recieve dreams of their future. Together, or not together. With a family, or not...?

[FIREH!!]

bic:// Cloakedclaw smiled and nodded. He loved her. He loved her more than a bluebird loved the morning sun. More than the squirrel with its nuts. He loved her.

[ooc;] What they do is they go to sleep side by side, and have a dream. A StarClan cat they used yo know will tell them they can be togther. And the cat Ribbontail sees will tell her that she has been blessed with Cloakedclaw's kits. But Cloakedclaw won't be told that until Ribbontail tells him. Okay?
[bic;] Ribbontail lay down beside Cloakedclaw, feeling his fur brush her's. She closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to fold over her. She relaxed a little. This felt wonderful. Just to lay beside her loved one, without a care in the world. Unwittingly, she sank into sleep. The bengal opened her eyes, in her dream world. She looked around, confused. This forest was... Unfamiliar. Had she been here before? Suddenly she spotted a pretty tortoiseshell cat, her paws snowy white, emerging from the trees. She blinked at her. "Where am I?"
"My dear," the tortoiseshell mewed. She padded closer, touching her nose to Ribbontail's. Her scent was familiae; a bit like her mother's. Who was this cat?
"Are you... Leopardstorm?" She had heard Sunjinx describe Ribbontail's grandmother many times.
"Yes." The reply was short. Ribbontail was delighted. Before she could speak again, Leopardstorm carried on. "My darling, you have chosen a mate. StarClan approve of your choice. He is strong, faithful and true. He will love you with all of his heart."
Ribbontail's heart sang with happiness. But the next words Leopardstorm spoke doused her in shock. "StarClan know you are both loyal warriors. We believe you are ready for your first litter, Ribbontail my dear. Take good of care of your children. They will not be what you will expect. Take care. You are strong enough to cope with this."
Ribbontail watched as Leopardstorm turned and padded back into the trees. "Wait!" she begged. But the forest was dissolving into blackness, fragments of trees spinning before her eyes. She opened her eyes with a sharp breath. Cloakedclaw was still beside her. She rolled onto her side and thought about her dream. She was going to have kits...
She was going to have Cloakedclaw's kits!

[FIREH!!]

Cloakedclaw rolled over in his sleep. "Ribbontail?" He called. He ould only see darkness. A cat emerged. It was Rushpaw! "Rushpaw!" He cried, running to his brother. "I miss you!" Rushpaw silenced him with his tail. "Starclan approve of your choice of mate." He smiled at his brother. "Tell mom and dad Shoalpaw is here, with us." Rushpaw faded. "Noo!! Come back!!" Cloakedclaw yelled. He turned and awoke. "Ribbontail?" He meowed quietly.

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail wet her mouth with her tongue. She fought the urge to tell her mate the news Leopardstorm had told her. he had to check with Dragonflydance first. The silver bengal stretched her lims. "I'm awake," she murmured. She nuzzled Cloakedclaw lovingly with a purr. "I had the strangest dream." She smiled. "My grandmother told me StarClan approve f us."

[FIREH!!]

"As did my late brother, Rushpaw." He felt a wave of sadness and pressed against her silvery pelt.

[SHADE. :D]

Ribbontail pressed against her mate, licking him between the ears like a mother comforting her child. "I know it's hard. I lost all my brothers and sisters." She touched her nose lightly to the tom's ear. She felt a wave of excitement rush through her. She was having kits! The she-cat calmed herself, then spoke again. "We should get back to camp." She was anxious to see Dragonflydance.

[FIREH!!]

"All right," He meowed. Cloakedclaw heaved himself to his paws and licked her ears. He began to pad to the camp.

[bic;] Ribbontail got to her paws nd shook herself. She gave her pelt quick groom, until it was restored to its usaul dazzling beauty. The bengal pressed up close to her mate as she walked, getting used to the feeling of soft fur pressing against her own. She felt love for Cloakedclaw course through her body, and smiled blissfully.
