Who am I?
It was pretty much day time outside but the clouds were covering the sun and sending down large drops of rain. A silver tom walked out from the undergrowth and into a large clearing which held a lake. It was as black as ever but he could still see the reflection as he looked into the glimmering black water that made ripples as the rain drops falling. He sighed and his own drops of rain fell into the water but they weren't rain but tears. His eyes closed and he sniffed. "Why doesn't anyone care?"he whispered as he laid down by the lake and lapped the water, his eyes still closed.

Icelily was sitting next to the lake, and noticed the tom. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Shoalpaw had closed his eyes and had tried to think but the sound of another cat rang in his ears. It was his own mother, Icelily. "Mom,"he meowed,"I don't know what to do..." His voice trailed off as he closed his eyes and set them on his paws and the tears fell from his eyes and onto the ground around.

Halopaw skidded into the clearing, in her sorrowful blindness not noticing her mother and brother. She breifly stood still, her tear-streaked cheeks gleaming lightly and her blue eyes wrought with fear, hurt, betrayel and anger. She let out a choked sob, wondering whether Eaglefeather had gone off with Midnight again. Didn't he care about her? Didn't he care at all? She ran on, still not seeing her family. She banged into Icelily, then hissed. In her mind, her mother's pale body was Eaglefeather's dark tabby one. "You wretch! I hate you so much!" She then seemed to recognize her mother, and gasped, sobbing: "Mum..."

"My children," she pulled the two close. "Do not fear of what life has to offer you. You will both be fantastic warriors and will be so great. Trust me." she purred and licked them both.
