By the time Cormorantstar came from his den, it was past sunhigh and almost sunset. He hoped everyone would be back from hunting and training. Pawstep by pawstep marked the the grass as he made his way toward the Bird's Wing. He was looking for Lemonzest but at first, didn't see her. He sighed and continued. When the dark gray tom arrived there, he jumped to the top of the large, strangely shaped rock and sat himself down near the edge. He took a deep breath he before calling his Clan together for a meeting. He had to make a new warrior and an apprentice. He was excited for the Clan's reactiont that Silver was finally joining the Clan. He sat back and flicked his tail over his large paws, waiting for his Clan to come. |

Icelily padded forward. She looed back to see where her faily had gone to. She wanted to sit near her giant family.
Midnightsky noticed his mother and quickly reached her side.
Cloakedpaw ran over and bounced up and down. "I wonder what this could be about?" he asked.

Butterscotch's ears flicked as he heard his Leader's call, smiling a little he walked out of his Den, a warm smile on his face as usual. Noticing his sister sitting with her sons he padded over and sat down beside her, waving one paw in creating to Cloakedpaw and Midnightsky before turning his eyes up to his Leader. "Whats this about then" he mewed softly into his sisters ear, his warm breath brushing her shoulder fur. Silver slid out of the dens quickly, in excitement he barely even noticed Butterscotch untill he crashed into the handsome tom. Yowling out in suprise Butterscotch turned round to Silver half draped over him with a slightly dazed looking his eyes. "Sorry Butterscotch! I didn't see you there" Silver mewed, dipping his low and getting off the other Tom. Butterscotch began to laugh, heartily and in a good natured way. "It's fine Silver, hey come sit with me and Icelily if you like, there is some ceremony going on" he mewed, flicking his tail just to pat the patch of earth beside him. Silver grinned a little, "I know" was all he mewed, practically bouncing on his paws.

Midnightsky dipped his head in greeting to his uncle.
Cloakedpaw looked up at Butterscotch with big round eyes. "Can we go train after this? Pwease?" He asked ever so sweetly. Cloakedpaw jumped out of his skin when Silver crashed into Butterscotch. "Ahhh!!" He began to run in circles.

A small gray tabby tom appeared from the apprentice's den. He narrowed his yellow eyes at his brother. So imature... He sighed and sat a few fox lengths away from his family. He gazed up at Cormorantstar and waited for something to happen |

Skytomb padded from the warriors' den, watching his three sons with bright yellow eyes. He smiled and let out an amused purr at Cloakedpaw's fright and Shoalpaw's disdain. He was slightly unsettled to see Icelily sitting next to Butterscotch. Though he knew the handsome tom was his mate's brother, he still did not like him much. He sat down beside Midnightsky, nodding and smiling breifly at his oldest son before looking back up at Cormorantstar.
Halopaw trailed from the apprentices' den, head hanging low. She looked up and glanced around for a split second, as if looking for a certain cat. When her eyes did not meet what she had hoped they would, she frowned and sat alone, staring at her paws. She looked as if she would burst into tears ny moment.
Dragonflydance swept gracefully from her den, a faint happy smile on her face. The pure white medicine cat sat beside Butterscotch, smiling at the tom, her mother, her brothers and her father before turning to stare up at Cormorantstar. The storm-grey tom looked happier than he had the past couple of days. Good. One patient off of her back. The medicine cat closed her eyes breifly, then opened them to behold Halopaw. She hoped her sister's cuts and scrapes from the badger attack were healing well. She needed to check them...
Lemonzest looked up at Cormorantstar with soft yellow eyes. How she loved him. She sat close to the rock so she could watch him closely. She blinked slowly, glancing around to make sure every cat was here. The brown tabby arched her back to stretch the cramped muscles, then settled into a more comfortable position, eyes looking up at Cormorantstar like two bright yellow lamps.
Sunjinx padded from the nursery, green eyes full of hope. Maybe her daughter would be apprenticed now. Then she could move back into the warriors' den again! Though she loved her daughter with all of her heart, she could not wait to return to her warrior duties. This particular spell of her life had been painful, but it had brought her very close to her only remaining kit. The ginger and white queen sat beside Silver, licking his shoulder before looking up at Cormorantstar.
Ribbonkit streaked out of the nursery after her mother, eyes bright and wide. Her slick silver spangled coat was gleaming from a fresh groom, as if she had been hoping her ceremony would be today. The kit looked up at her father, smiling broadly at the silver bengal before cannoning into his chest and crouching between his legs, looking insanely excited. |

Midnightsky looked at his sister as she padded out of the den. He turned to his father and meowed, "I'm oging to go talk to Halopaw. Be back in five!" he padded over to the apprentice. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Icelily frowned at the look Skytomb gave her brother. She walked over to him. "Skytomb, why are you so hostile towards my brother?" she asked, clearly curious.
Cloakedpaw snorted at his brother and settled down.

"I'm not!" spluttered Skytomb indignantly. He looked at his paws. "I just havn't got used to him being so near to you yet." The blue-grey tom looked up at his mate with glistening yellow eyes, as if willing her to understand.
Halopaw looked up at Midnightsky with the same cold, blank expression she might use upon her first snowfall. "Nuthin'." |

Haliopaw's grudging look turned to a glare. "I'm fine! Stop prying!" she hissed, looking angry. She thought of Eaglefeather with Midnight and nearly retched. Her gut was a churning mass of hatred. |

Buttscotch turned his head and looked at Skytomb, he hated the way the Tom looked at him. It just felt like every time his back was turned his back those eyes where on the back of his head. Hissing softly under his breath be walked over to Icelily. Pressing his muzzle to her ear he whispered; "Since your /mate/ hates me I suppose I'll stay away, please remember me and come to see me when ever you like, I love you Icelily" he whispered softly into her ear. Flashing one hurt look at Skytomb he turned and stalke away, turning his back on his family and sitting his his head down next to Silver. The silvery tom blinked at the sight of Butterscotch looking so down though shook his head. Purring his pulled Ribbonkit close to him adn gave her head a lick. [/center] |

Shoalpaw narrowed his yellow eyes at Midnightsky. He just couldn't stay out of Halopaw's buisness. It was annoying for him. He sighed and looked back up at his Leader.
Cormorantstar gazed down at Lemonzest for a long moment, his eyes soft and happy but then he looked around at his Clan. "Silver you have suggested to become a warrior of CloudClan and StarClan has accepted your joining. From now on until changes, you will be called Silverflame,"he meowed proudly for all to hear. He paused before taking a deep breath. "Ribbonkit, from this day forward until you have earned your warrior name you will be called Ribbonpaw,"the deep voice meowed and he paused again. "Silverflame you are ready for your first apprentice. You will mentor Ribbonpaw. May StarClan light both of your paths,"he concluded and looked down at Lemonzest again. He smiled softly. |

[bic;] Skytomb sighed in exasperation. He had overheard Butterscotch. "And you are my mate," he mewed. He looked bitterly at Butterscotch, angry at how the warrior had overrecated. "And I never said I hated you!"
The blue-grey warrior stalked over to Midnightsky and sat beside his son again, swimming in his thoughts. He chanted Ribbonpaw and Silverflame's names hurriedly before returning to a brooding silence.
Halopaw looked at Shoalpaw with eyes like stones. She kept her mouth shut during the whole ceremony, not trusting herself to speak or even chant. The ginger tabby tucked her small white paws under her thin chest and fluffed out her fur as if a chill had just carressed her.
Dragonflydance purred and chanted the new apprentice's name. She had been close to Ribbonkit since the bengal had been very young, having treated her and her siblings when they caught Greencough. She sighed. If she'd managed to save the other three they would've been here now, too.
Lemonzest grinned up at Cormorantstar, chanting out the new warrior and apprentice's names happily before smiling broadly at the grey warrior. Her yellow eyes reflected the sunlight, dazzling her face.
A purr overwhelmed Sunjinx as she pressed herself bodily against her mate. She did not seem to care that every cat was watching; she pressed her cheek against his, licking his ear. She stayed there for a few moments, savouring Silverflame's warmth. She then moved onto Ribbonpaw, covering her daughter in licks. Ribbonpaw bounced with glee, for once unable to contain herself. She squirmed and pounced on her father, snuggling her forehead into his fur. |

[ooc]; This is Butterscotch we are talking about, he an ol’ softy most the time though gets hurt easy. :3
[bic]; Butterscotch only stared at him sadly before turning his head away, eyes lighting just a little as the new warrior and apprentice was named. It was about time Silver joined the Clan, he was a pleasant Tom and had did quite a lot for the Clans in the past. Purring he waves his tail at Silverflame and began to chant his name, this along with Ribbonpaw’s. Loneliness once again stabbed at his heart like a black thorn when he watched the family, they where all so happy, so loving. Who did he have? No one. Sniffing slightly he curled himself up and looked at the ground, still murmuring the new names under his breath. Silverflame let a loud purr explode from his throat as his name was called. It was a beautiful name though he wasn’t concerned about that right now. “Oof! Easy Ribbonpaw” he purred, letting out a loud mrrow of laughter before licking her head. |

Skytomb glanced at Butterscotch, hissing quietly in exasperation. So much self-pity... He looked up at Ribbonpaw, smiling. The little family were finally happy, and Skytomb was happy for them. He saw a close friend of Sunjinx.
Ribbonpaw just burrowed further into her father's fur, curling up there. She felt completely and utterly safe there. Nothing could harm her. Not even Greencough. Sunjinx curled herself around Silverflame, resting her head on his back and closing her eyes. |

Butterscotch dragged himself up from his paws and stalked past Skytomb, with his eyes on the ground he moved away from the rest of the Cat’s this to a place just outside of Camp. Curling up he let out a soft shuddering breath. “Oh StarClan! Why do I over-react so much… Why must I face this pain every day” he meowed out softly, tears welling up in his beautiful chocolate brown eyes. Silverflame chuckled and wrapped his tail around his kitten and part of Sunjinx’s paw. Laying one paw on her shoulder he smiled again, his chest rising with pride. “My beautiful family” he purred softly nuzzling them all happily. [/center] |

Halopaw glared at every cat, furous at them for being so happy. It wasn't fair. Why should she have to cope with this sorrow? She stormed from the stalking stiff legged past the weeping Butterscotch. She heard him talking to himself and snapped: "What a cry-baby!" Before running on. |

Halopaw swung round to block the tom's way, teeth bared in a horrible, disfiguring snarl. Her blue eyes were filled with unnatural rage; Halopaw was never angry. She snatched her tail to her side with a revolted expressio on her pretty face, as if the very touch of Butterscotch had poisoned her.

Butterscotchh pulled back and away from her, his ears flattened against his head and one paw raised limply against his chest. “Sorry.. Halopaw” he mumbled looking away from her. The tear stains on his cheeks where beginning o fade, the dampness sinking into his fur. “I was just.. worried about you after that traitorous old crow hurt you” he said with a soft sigh. Midnightsky looked sypathetically at all three warriors. He rolled his eyes and chanted the new names.
Icelily hissed. "I'm going for some air!" she turned and stalked out of camp. She raced out and into the forest. Icelily lay down and watched the sun set, with her head on her paws. Why can't Skytomb just understand Butterscotch is my brother? she thought. She lay there for hours, thinking about the day's events.

Skytomb sighed, and padded into the warriors' den. He wished Icelily could be patient. He was still getting used to the idea of letting another tom get that close to his mate. He was only being protective. The blue-grey tom looked up the sky, which was growing dark. Stars were beginning to swath there. Mother, Father, are you up there? He thought.
Halopaw glared at the tom. When he mentioned Eaglefeaher, she gasped and flew at him, claws out. She thrashed at his chest, tears soaking his fur. "How do you know? I'll kill Midnightsky - he told you, didn't he?" |

Unfortunately, Midnightsky chose just that time to go see the kits in the nursery. He heard her yowl and whipped back towards her. "I didn't tell anybody," he meowed, "I kept my word."

"Stop following me!" shrieked Halopaw. She span around, claws snagging fur and grass. "I'm out of here." The ginger tabby bounded away, tears streaking jer cheeks. She ran until blood trickled between her toes and left a bloody trail of pawprints on the grass behind her. Then she collapsed, sobbing loudly. She buried her head in her paws, gagging and retching as she fought to stop crying. |

Midnightsky stared after his sister, his jaw wide open. He couldn't believe what she had done.
