A dark body appeared from the shadows of the leader's den. He padded over to the Bird's Wing and swiftly jumped on top of it. He stood at the edge and called,"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Bird's Wing for a Clan meeting!" His voice rang through the clearing and he sat down to wait for the cats to gather.
A small kit tumbled out of the nursery. His gray tabby body was sleek and just groomed. Probably his mother did it before the ceremony. He padded calmly over to the Bird's Wing and sat down, though he wasn't calm, he was excited. This was his apprentice ceremony! |

Another kit walked normally over to his brother. "We're gonna be apprnetices!!" he cried.

Skytomb padded from the warriors' den, looking around for his mate. He trotted up to his son and licked him between the ears, fierce pride in his yellow eyes. He remembered doing this the first time... He had mentored Midnightsky, who had become a fine warrior. The blue-grey warrior turned his attention to Cormorantstar and settled down next to Shoalkit.
A tiny kit sped from the nursery, her stubby little legs a blur. She skidded and landed in a heap next to Shoalkit. Halokit shook her ginger-and-white fur and smiled at her brother. The kit looked barely three moons; definately not old enough to be an apprentice. But she was exactly the same age as Shaolkit; six moons. |

Shaolkit bounced up and down as his brother said that. "I know!"he mewed quietly but excitedly. His eyes gazed up at Cormorantstar.
When the kits father arrived next to him he squeaked,"Hi Daddy!" And licked his nose after his father licked his head. "I hope you are my mentor!"he whispered in his father's ear and turned his gaze to his sister.
"Hi Halokit!"Shaolkit whispered,"Who do you want to be your mentor?" |

Butterflypaw walked into the clearing and sighed, she was almost eight moons and still didn't have a mentor. Growling to herself she took a seat beside Skytomb and stared at the ground.

Cloakedkit ran around in circles, trying to contain his excitement. With no luck, obviously. He sat down next to his father.
Midnightsky padded towards the crowd of cats and sat down next to his father. "Hey dad." He meowed in that voice of his.
Icelily padded away from the Nursery. "Hello my toms." She meowed, "Seeing the two of you together makes me wonder who is Skytomb and who is Midnightsky!" She licked them both between the ears and settled down next to her son.

Cormorantstar cleared his voice to begin the cerimony.
"Halokit,"he meowed,"Please come forward. From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Halopaw.”
"Snowstorm, you are ready for your next apprentice. You will begin Halopaw's training. I expect you to pass all you learned from from your mentor to this young apprentice and share with her the skills you have learned."
"Rushkit,"he meowed,"Please come forward. From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will be called Rushpaw.”
"I will begin Rushpaw's training. I will pass on what I learned from my mentor to this young apprentice and I will share the skills I learned with this apprentice." He bent down from the Bird's Wing and touched noses with Rushpaw. He then contiued.
"Flightkit,"he meowed,"Please come forward. From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Flightpaw.”
"Midnightsky, you are ready for your first apprentice. You will begin Flightpaw's training. I expect you to pass all you learned from from your mentor to this young apprentice and share with her the skills you have learned."
"Shaolkit,"he meowed,"Please come forward. From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will be called Shaolpaw.”
"Skytomb, you are ready for your next apprentice. You will begin Shaolpaw's training. I expect you to pass all you learned from from your mentor to this young apprentice and share with him the skills you have learned."
Shaolpaw went to his father and lift his nose to his father's to touch noses with him.
"Cloakedkit,"he meowed,"Please come forward. From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will be called Cloakedpaw.”
"Butterscotch, you are ready for your first apprentice. You will begin Cloakedpaw's training. I expect you to pass all you learned from from your mentor to this young apprentice and share with his the skills you have learned."
Cormorantstar paused for a few moments to let it all soak in to the apprentices and their mentors. He then continued.
"Butterflypaw has been left mentorless for many moons so Lemonzest, you are ready for your first apprentice. You will begin Butterflypaw's training. I expect you to pass all you learned from from your mentor to this young apprentice and share with her the skills you have learned." |

Halopaw mewed in excitement and ran up to Snowstorm. She touched her nose carefully to the deputy's, then ran over to her mother and barelled into her. Her pale golden-ginger pelt standing on end in excitement.
Lemonzest smiled at Butterflypaw and touched her nose the apprentice's. She stretched out her toes, remembering her last apprentice, Cloudpaw, who had been killed last greenleaf. She sighed then looked back up at Cormorantstar.
Skytomb purred in congratulations to his kits, and touched noses with Shoalpaw. It seemed Cormorantstar had taken heed of his choice. |

Cormorantstar sighed and looked through his Clan. He nodded in his head and began what he knew was right to say,"I'm sorry about my actions with another EclipseClan cat. I should have never done what I did." He looked down at the rock and closed his eyes. "Please forgive me,"he murmured solemly. He looked up again at his Clan, hoping they would forgive him. |

Skytomb looked up at his leader. As far as he was concerned, as long as the grey tom did not go off with Lonelyheart ever again, he was already forgiven. He flicked Shoalpaw affectionately on the flank with his long, blue-grey tail, then mewed to him: [b"Want to train?"
Lemonzest looked up at Cormorantstar with eyes full of sympathy; she knew what is was like to have no-cat love you... She gave him an encouraging smile than turned back to her new apprentice. |

Cormorantstar caught Lemonzest's gaze but looked away and jumped off the Bird's Wing. He padded over to Rushpaw. "Want to go train?"he asked and smiled to his apprentice.
Shoalpaw nodded. "That'd be great, Skytomb!"he meowed almost in an excited voice. It would be hard calling his father Skytomb but he would try. |

Cloakedpaw touched noses with his uncle and meowed, "YAY!!! I'M AN APPRENTICE!!" he jumped up. "Can we go train???" he asked.
Icelily licke her kit on the head. "Skytomb! Wait!" she cried, remembering their fight. "Skytomb!" she ran over to him. "I'm so sorry..."
Midnightsky touched noses with his sister. "Wanna train?" he asked.
"I'm so proud of all of you!" meowed Icelily to her kits. "Congratulations, Midnightsky and Skytomb..."

Butterflypaw blinked a sudden rise of panic ripping at her spine, her fur raised for a moment before it flattened down. Every one had reacted badly when Cormoratstar had been found out, this about his love for Lonelyheart. Her eyes which were now huge barely blinked when he new mentor touched noses with her, a sudden stab of pain snatched at her stomach causing her to wince. Butterscotch purred loudly and touched noses with Cloakedpaw, before flashing a glance at Butterflypaw, the she-cat's eyes looked strained and her posture was stiff. Once the she-cat caught him looking at her she turned and began to slip out of camp, more waddling than anything else. He sighed lightly and licked Cloakedpaws head. "Yes yes, go get yourself something to eat then we'll go, okay?" he meowed. |

Lemonzest twitched her ears in confusion to her apprentice, but just sat down, beginning to groom one paw.
Skytomb sighed. "You've nothng to be sorry for. I'm the one who should be sorry," he pressed his soft muzzle into his mate's shoulder, then turned to bound out of camp. |

Butterflypaw heard some one come out of camp behind her, was she being followed now? Letting out a loud cry of fear she continued to run, her movements getting stiffer as the pain increased. She turned and began to run to the Vapour Falls, hoping to god that ehr mate would be there.

"Skytomb!! After, do you want to hunt with me?" Icelily called after him.
"Okay!!" Cloakedpaw picked up a vole and gulped it down. Within moments he was back at his mentor's side. "Can we go now?" he asked.
"Dad! Can I train with you?" it was Midnightsky. He nudged Flightpaw and walked out of camp.
