Skytomb smiled at his mate and gron son. He silently admired the younger tom's sleek pelt and lean body, his strong limbs and rippling muscles. He was growing up to be a very fine tomcat. Skytomb smiled, proud of son, and apprentice.
"I wonder who will apprentice them," he commented. |

" I hope I get to mentor Halokit. She's so sweet," meowed Midnightsky, he walked over to his mother, his muscles rippling in the gentle sunlight.
"I hope you do too." mewed Icelily, licking her strong, sleek sun on the head.

Skytomb smiled. He wondered if maybe he would get to mentor one of his second litter, as he had mentored one of his first. He stretched forwards, silver claws breifly unsheathing and clicking quietly against the ground. He straightened up again and his eyes clouded a little.
"I wonder where Cormorantstar has got to? He's been ages hunting," he said. |

bic// Just then, a dark tom came padding through the camp entrance. He
carried a large fat squirrel, a skinny rabbit, and a small mouse. As he walked
by the fresh kill pile, he dropped them in it. He walked cooly and calmly up to
where the cats sat. A gentle breeae flew past and he snift the air. Then let out
a small sigh. "Well I can't say that was a wonderful hunt,"he paused for a
moment,"But I can't say that was a bad hunt for this time of the seasons."
The leader sat down and started to groom himself. |

Skytomb was a little surprised. He had thought his leader was a better hunter than that. Maybe the hunting was just not too good today... But he had been hunting early this morning and a couple of thrush and a mouse had fallen to his jaws. And... and was it just him or was there a faint scent of EclipseClan floating in the air that had not been there before? Leaning forwards just a fraction, so as not to arouse the other cat's suspicisions, he sniffed again. Yes! It was EclipseClan. And it seemed to be coming from Cormorantstar... Why had he been hunting on EclipseClan territory? His yellow eyes narrowed a little, but he kept his discovery to himself.
Ooc; It's OK. Hey, Brook, next time Cormorantstar goes to see Lonelyheart, can Skytomb follow him and catch them together? |

Cormorantstar frowned and let out a low growl. His eyes shown no fury he
turned around and meowed,"I was freshing up the EclipseClan border while I
went hunting." He looked back his eyes emotionless and meowed with more
of an angrier tone,"Maybe you should get up and do something instead of
sitting on your butt all day!" He turned and stormed back into the warrior's den
with fury in his eyes.

Snowstorm shuddered in surprise as Cormorantstar flared up at Midnightsky. She bristled but forced her fur flat. "What happened on your hunt?" She asked, trying to calm the tention.

Skytomb immediatly leapt to his son's defense.
"Midnightsky has done nothing wrong," he hissed, following the leader and shoving his muzzle into the tom's face. He knew that Cormorantstar was his leader, he knew he must respect him - but no cat insulted his family and got away with it. |

Cormorantstar nodded for Snowstorm to back off and hissed to her,"That is
none of your business." The dark toms eyes were blazing with fury as he saw
Skytomb and he let out a low growl. "I wasn't just talking to him," he growled
so low that no other cat could hear him except Skytomb and maybe
Snowstorm. Then he continued,"I wouldn't be doing that to your leader." He
finished with a fury gaze, turned, and padded off into his den. |

Snowstorm bristled but backed away. She glared after Cormorantstar. She shot Midnightsky a sympathetic look. Snowstorm curled her tail around her paws and trid to cool the burning inside of her. Acting like a kit won't help you... She muttered to herself.

Midnightsky pressed up against Snowstorm to comfort her. "Don't worry," he meowed sympathetically. "Cormorantstar is hiding something. That's all," He gave her ear a reassuring lick.

Skytomb snarled but backed off. He was not one to disobey his leader. He sat beside his son, yellow eyes full of exasperation. Suddenly, seeing Midnightsky and Snowstorm snuggling up together, he felt lonely. He heaved himself up and padded towards Icelily, pressing his blue-grey flank against her white one and wishing for the joy and excite,ent of the start of their relationship. Sighing, he licked his mate's slender neck a couple of times, more to reassure himself than anything else. |

Cormorantstar layed in the corner of the Leader's den. He could not be seen in
his den but he could see out. The tom felt sad when he saw the two cats run
around. He thought of Lonelyheart. He buried his muzzle in his soft green
moss and tears started to run down his dark cheaks. His heart was torn
between the Clan and the one he loved but what he really wanted to do was to
talk to someone about his secret. |

"Cormorantstar," meowed a small voice. It was Icelily. "Can I talk to you?"

Cormorantstar looked up and saw Icelily standing outside of his den. He
brushed his tears away and sat up. "Yes,"he meowed,"Come in." His voice was
almost emotionless with a tad of sadness but he tried to hide it as much as
possible. |

"Okay!" Midnightsky scented a rabbit and hunted it down quickly. It was dead in a matter of minutes.

Cormorantstar sighed and looked away. He took a deep breath and
meowed,"I fell in love with a cat from EclipseClan." His eyes turned to sadness
and another few tears fell from his eyes. "I don't know what to do..."his voice
trailed off as he took another deep breath and held back his tears. |
