L A S T F A L L I N G ,,
Camp was dead silent that morning. Most CloudClanners were fighting for their lives against the Tribe of Nightmares. The sun was beginning to be seen on the horizon and the sky was beginning to become lighter, almost a pinkish color. The birds were finally starting to sing their morning tunes which concluded that daytime had struck camp and it would be safe for Lastfalling to leave the Medicine Cat's Den for the first time since he had been there. He sat near the entrance, watching as CloudClan awoke from their slumber. It was something he had never seen before, since he was a BrightClanner; the deputy actually, and he wasn't really supposed to be there. Lastfalling would have rather been out at the clearing fighting with his Clan. He was stuck here with a bunch of strange cats.
The injured tom would've felt much happier if Astralhaze had stayed away from the battle and the thought of her getting hurt worried him deeply. He had already had his battle with the Tribe only a few days earlier. He had been looking for his crush at the border when he saw Tawnysky getting attacked by a phantom. He was, luckily, able to save her. Lastfalling vowed that while Dragonflydance was away, he would make sure Tawnysky was well taken care of. During his time in the Medicine Cat den, before Tawnysky woke up, he had gotten to know Cormorantfeather. He was the former Leader of CloudClan and Tawnysky's father. Lastfalling realized how that glint in his eyes had died away from the last time he had seen him as a Leader and how skinny and weak he was. He also found out that Tawnysky hated her father and somewhere in his mind he wrote down the mistakes Cormorantfeather had made so that Lastfalling wouldn't make them either.
So there he sat. Lastfalling hadn't been injured severely from his run in with the Tribe cat. The worst wound he got was in his shoulder and it wasn't really that deep at all. He had just lost loads of blood which still made him feel light headed to think about. All of his other wounds were healed nicely and he hoped to return after CloudClan came back, just so that he could see that Astralhaze was alright. The black and white tom watched the sun rise, which was almost as boring as watching grass grow, and he waited and waited for something to happen or someone to wake.

Astralhaze Shizuka ni sora ni kaeru anata no sugata wo, [What else can I do, besides avenge you?] namida ga kareru made zutto mitsumete ita... [/i] Orbs set for sight lifted towards the heavens, their glittering depths reflected in their equals on earth. Astralhaze yawned quaintly and lifted her delicate form onto sturdy legs. The beautiful femme exited the warrior's den, meowing slightly and grooming her long leg. She made a move to go for a patrol when it hit her: Lastfalling.
Pain racked her expression as she faced the medicine cat den, but it cleared once she saw him there. "Lastfalling...," she said breathlessly, running towards the den quickly. She quickly masked her emotions in case others came around.
"Do you feel better?" she asked him, silvery form pressing against the deputy. Her tail touched his paw but in brief, flickering touches. The tone was concerned. Astralhaze had been worried about her lover constantly, and she was saddened that he hadn't been able to go off to fight for his Clan. At least Ghostlystar understood, but it seemed too easy. Why would...?
"Does Ghostlystar know about us?" she suddenly asked in a quiet voice.Your form which returns gently to heaven, [What else can I do, besides avenge you?] I watched it for the longest time, until my tears dried up...

In the warmth of the newly risen sun, Lastfalling felt as though he could just dose off. It was the nicest day on the whole season today and he had to be ruined by a battle. That thought made Lastfalling curse his sleepiness and more than anything he wanted out of here, to see if Astralhaze was safe and to see if his Clan was safe. Sleeping was out of the question. Leaving was out of the question. So he just sat and lazily move one extended claw around a rock so that his claw made a circle in the sand. He needed something to do to keep him occupied. He was about to clean the bedding in Dragonflydance's bed or do something to help so that when everyone would come back, they wouldn't have to worry about it themselves. Thats when she appeared like a star from heaven. Astralhaze...
For a few moments, he just gazed at her lovingly, but then he realized where he was and that there were other cats around. That expression soon disappeared and he just smiled slightly with emotionless eyes that hid his real feelings. When she came up beside him, he grinned crookedly at her. "I feel wonderful," he mewed quietly and leaned in to lick her ear, as he whispered, "Now." But his smile faded when she asked if his leader knew about their secret relationship. Lastfalling looked away from her beautiful hazel eyes and stared at his white paws. Cormorantfeather had mentioned something to him about the way Ghostlystar looked at Astralhaze before he entered the Medicine Cat den when Tawnysky and Lastfalling arrived. He said it was an "odd" and "questioning" expression and thats when it hit him. Of course he knew.
"Yes... I think he may..."

Astralhaze Afureru kanashimi wa kesenai kizuato ni, Wasure wa shinai to chikatta [/i] Astralhaze's beautiful orbs met Lastfalling's, sadness creeping into them. She wondered how long this relationship would ask. Ghostlystar had nodded to her and she was sure Lastfalling had probably said something about the night they met. If he knew that his deputy was... Astralhaze sighed slightly.
"My love...," she said hesitantly.
Her tail resting on his, Astralhaze meowed for him to look at her. "This secret won't stay for long. We need to make a decision now. How are we going to continue this...or should we stop?" She touched her nose to him briefly, like a butterfly's kiss. And the sorrow overflowing from the scar which can't be erased, I swore that I would never forget it.

He eventually began to daze off for a moment, remembering what Comorantfeather had said about what Skytomb and the rest of CloudClan did when they found out that there leader was... a traitor. The word hung around in his head, repeating it self over and over. Traitor, traitor... The wind blowing through the trees seemed to whisper it and the more Lastfalling tried to ignore it, the more it hurt him. No. He wasn't Leader. If BrightClan found out that his mate was a CloudClan cat, he knew that Ghostlystar wouldn't send him away. He knew now, and he hadn't spoken a word yet. Lastfalling didn't want to be a traitor, but he wanted Astralhaze more than respect, more than anything.
His daze caused him to miss a little of what Astralhaze said. He just stared at her sad hazel eyes and wished that this wouldn't be so painful for her. When she mewed the last three words, should we stop, that caught his attention and his eyes filled with horror and terror.
"WHAT!" he screamed in a whisper. His breathing quickened and grew panicked. No. He couldn't leave her now and she wouldn't leave him. He loved her more than anyone and if they were separated, he would surely die. Or worse. Astralhaze would die. "I just couldn't bare to stop, Astralhaze. I can't do that," he mewed, tears beginning to form on his lids. He closed his eyes and looked away, wishing he wasn't such a coward. Lastfalling was afraid, afraid that he would loose the only thing he had left.

Astralhaze Oreta tsubasa wo habatakase subete wo keshite miseyou, Itsu no hi ka owari wo mukaeru saigo no kane ga nariyamu made [/i] Astralhaze's face was emotionless at Lastfalling's outburst. I am a danger to your position. Your Clan trusts you, and Ghostlystar most of all. I don't want them to be disappointed, she thought. The beautiful femme sighed slightly and looked into the camp, staring at its familiar dips and curves in the earth for a moment before she faced Lastfalling once more.
"Well, what should we tell the kits?" she whispered, her orbs falling to her gently-protruding stomach. It wasn't enough to let everyone in the world know but Astralhaze was extremely observant and intelligent about her own bodily functions. "Dragonflydance hasn't told me yet, but...I know." She swallowed a lump in her throat.
"I want to have them in the shrine. I don't care about the possibility of complications," she said defiantly. Her eyes sparkled when she said that. I'll flap my broken wings and erase it all some day, you'll see, Until the last bell ringing the dirge completes.

There was another long silence in which Lastfalling was able to reflect the true idea of Astralhaze and him actually splitting apart. Of course, he wouldn't be able to do it. But could she? Could Astralhaze live without him? Some where in his heart he hoped she could but then again, he wanted her to feel the same way about him. Did she love him like he loved her? Of course she did... She had to... Didn't she? If she didn't then what about-
His train of thought was cut off by Astralhaze's next words and his heart skipped a couple beats. Kits!? His bright yellow eyes grew wide and he looked up at his love with both an anxious and nervous face. What if something went wrong? But then he thought of little mini-Astralhazes and Lastfallings running around the shrine and that very thought made the tension light up a bit coming from his side. He smiled slightly and smiled a little bigger when Astralhaze said that she wanted to have them at the shrine. "If you want to have our kittens at the shrine, then you will have them at the shrine," he mewed with great determination and he met her sparkling gaze.
Comfortingly, he leaned over and pressed his nose against her muzzle. "Don't worry, love. This will work out. I will make it work," he whispered softly, but he wondered how it would in the end.

Astralhaze You told me to live as if you were to die tomorrow. Fail not and be what we were now Face as if we want to have forever [/i] Astralhaze blushed and felt a surge of pride go through him. "Do you think you're well enough to go home? I know Dragonflydance and Cometpaw aren't here, but did they tell you anything?" she asked, her voice chiming like bells on a beautiful hillside.
The she-cat wondered what was going on with the battle and what the casualities were. She realized that she was starting to be concerned about BrightClan almost as equally as her own Clan. She was worried about Ghostlystar the same way she was about Stormstar. Her heart panged for the black tom that knew about their relationship. You told me to live as if you were to die tomorrow. Fail not and be what we were now Face as if we want to have forever

Lastfalling never imagined in the years that he lived in BrightClan that he would ever find a mate. He did, not in BrightClan, but he did. And he never thought he would ever be able to say that he was a father, but now he would. Well, not to just anyone but just the thought of having kits filled him to the brim with both joy, worry, and confusion. Emotions that he never experience at full throttle but now he just wanted to be with Astralhaze.
Her words again brought him back to the world of reality. Yes, he would have to leave CloudClan for good and go home to BrightClan. Of course he did but when? He didn't really want to leave now but with Astralhaze so near, he could blow the secret any second with a scream of joy so it would be a good idea to get out of there as soon as possible. He could scream for joy when he got to the shrine, where no one could hear him except for his possessions. "Cometpaw said I was improving a lot and said that I could probably leave whenever but I didn't talk with Dragonflydance..." he murmured, staring off into the distance.

Astralhaze Furueru yubi de akai namida wo nazotta,
Hakanai omoide ga yami ni ochite yuku... [/i] His word on good health made her heart lift, and she smiled. Her radiance seemed to steal the breath of the moon away. "We should probably wait for Dragonflydance then...," Astralhaze said gently. The she-cat came to her paws and shook herself, stretching a bit as well. A quaint yawn exited her lips as she padded over to the fresh-kill pile. She rooted through for a decent piece before she found a chipmunk. She walked back over to the deputy and gave it to him with a gentle smile.
The pretty she-cat waved her tail left and right. "I need to hunt soon. There aren't many warriors that stayed. The ones that are need to protect the entire Clan," she said quietly. Astralhaze meowed at him.
"Get some rest, love..." Red tears traced by a trembling finger,
It crashes through the dark memories... Grasskit
"What are you doing with Astrarhaze, BrightCwanner?" Grasskit's pouty expression crept out from the nursery, which was right next to the medicine cat den. The tabby tom puffed out his fur protectively (as he was the self-proclaimed guardian of all she-cats) and he hissed and spat comically at Lastfalling. He meowed loudly and shook his tail. "Astrarhaze is under my protection. She's my wittle sister!" he mewed, batting at Lastfalling's leg.[/sub]

"Yes, it would be best to wait for Dragonflydance," the BrightClan Deputy meowed, nodding his head automatically to Astralhaze's response. He wondered if it would be hard for him to leave this camp, with Astralhaze watching him... But it would be for the best to leave as soon as possible. His eyes scanned the camp for a moment, looking suspiciously at any cat that looked their way. But most of them were either napping, sunning themselves, or eating. He didn't want to feel or look paranoid, nor did he want anyone to know. So he just ate his chipmunk in a few bites and pushed the remains to the side, where he would bury them later.
"Don't be gone long," he murmured, sad that she had to leave but she was right. The camp was deserted and the pile was nearly empty. He would get some sleep before he traveled home...? Right? Maybe not. Out of the nursery, a little tabby tom-kit appeared and his accent made Lastfalling's face light up with humor. "I won't hurt your Astralhaze, little guy," he mewed, chuckling as the little tom-kit batted at his leg.
S P O T T E D K I T ,, Another tabby kitten appeared from the nursery, quickly following behind her brother with a worried expression. She had been watching the scene before her, before Grasskit had even noticed Lastfalling, the BrightClan Deputy, was out there. She hadn't heard much, but she had heard enough to scare her slightly. She quickly trotted up to stand in front of Astralhaze, looking at her with wide eyes.
"What do ya mean by 'get some rest, love'?" Spottedkit demanded in a high kitten voice that made it sound cute and hilarious but for her, she wasn't trying. "What are ya doing with him anyway! He's a BrightClanner!" she exclaimed in a whisper, suspiciously.

Astralhaze Saigo no hohoemi ga ukande wa kieru Nukumori dake wo nokoshite... [/i] Astralhaze blushed hotly at Spottedkit's sudden barrage. "He's the deputy of a valuable ally of CloudClan. I was just being polite," she said, feeling embarrassed. Her ears and tail twitched nervously as she looked past Spottedkit over at Grasskit and Lastfalling.
"Grasskit!" she called. "Stop distracting Lastfalling! He needs to sleep!" She gave the tomkit a mock-stern expression and faced Spottedkit with an equal visage. "And I need to hunt. You two should go play with the others, alright."[/color] The last smile wavered, and disappears, And the warmth is all that's left.... GrasskitGrasskit looked dubiously up at Lastfalling but then nodded. "Okay," he allowed, wrinkling his nose. The cute tom leapt on Lastfalling. "I'm keeping my eye on you." He closed one eye comically and watched the tuxedo male with it, only to lose his balance and tumble over. He shook himself with a startled mew and rolled onto his belly.
Grasskit lifted himself up and ran to Spottedkit, tackling her flank and mewing loudly as Astralhaze. "Bye bye, Astrarhaze!" he called, waving his paw.

Even though they stood a good distance away, Lastfalling was still able to hear Spottedkit bombard Astralhaze with questions. He would have said something to intercept the conversation, but Grasskit was just too distracting and way to cute to not pay attention to. The black and white tom chuckled as the small tomkit began climbing all over him, thinking of that some day, he would have kits. Maybe not like these, but he would have darling kittens to love, even if it seemed like they were on the whole other side of the world.
Lastfalling laughed even more when Grasskit fell off him and tackled his sister, and he watched them go leaving just Astralhaze and him alone. He stood and stretched before padding over to his mate and touching his nose to her muzzle quickly. "We better not make them more suspicious," he mewed before turning and disappearing into the Medicine Cat den.
S P O T T E D K I T ,, Spottedkit nodded, interested, when she heard that CloudClan and BrightClan were allies. She shrugged and let the whole thing go. Astralhaze was right. If she was nice to the BrightClan Deputy, then BrightClan would be nice to them. She smiled when she figured it all out and turned to Grasskit right as he tackled her. "Hey!" she yelped in shock before tackling him back. "Bye Astralhaze! Bye Lastfalling!" she said to both of them and ran away, taunting to Grasskit about how he will never catch her.

.snowkit Serene calico kit padded forward calmly, breezy amber occs swayed gently in the tilt of her crania, starlit kissed paws without a hint of bounce or play in them, expression serious with just a bemused tinge. "Haai Grasskit, Spottedkit!" vocals rung to let havoc come loose, calico body now twisted and jumped excitedly in prospect of her two playmates, paws churning from her current position to run into whatever kit she ended up bumping into, not really caring and freely doing whatever came to her mind first.
"Let's... let's play something!" earnest voice rang, her physique colliding with both kits, multi-hued pelt ablaze with amber pools bright, snowy paws shuffling onto the ground as she stood up, looking up and down from Spottedkit, then Grasskit, before nodding gleefully. "Where's Tansykit--- Oh comeon, let's plaay!"

"I suppose you're right," she said softly, dipping her head to him. Not as lover to lover but as warrior to deputy. She would try to hide her emotions better around her lover. He seemed to be her weakness. Astralhaze's slender body headed out of CloudClan camp as she padded out for a hunt. Your kind and gentle words can't heal me now; This body's only dedicated to the never ending fight... GrasskitHe squawked indignantly at his sister's taunts. "That's not nice!" Grasskit cawed, wriggling his brown, black, and gray body. He pouted comically but suddenly brightened with Snowkit entered the scene. "Hi, Snowkit!" .snowkit Earth hues and black twisted into one as the five and a half moon she kit peer gleefully at the other two kits, Spottedkit and Grasskit, as they mentioned the tackling game. "Ohh Goody! I love that one!" mentioning the game obviously, the kit avoided how she had sheepishly never played the game, and shrugged rather turning her attention to the two kits again. "Oh fun, fun, fun!" vocal cords chirped rather like a excited bird, occs roaming from the other she kit to the tom kit in wonder who she should tackle first, tail swishing sneakily.
Petite calico physique stopped squirming for a moment as she tilted her head in the direction of Spottedkit, soft amber occs studying the kit before her body flew into the air, starlit paws flying in every direction in a splay manor, and catapulting onto the body of the other she kit. "Gotchaaa!" snowy colored paws pummeled gently into Spottedkit's body, sheathed soft paws barely making a mark in the she kit's fur.

S P O T T E D K I T ,, Spottedkit had been sticking her long pink tongue out at Grasskit when Snowkit showed up and the tongue flipped back into her mouth. She looked at the she-kit for a moment, feeling the urge of play time beginning to disappear. She enjoyed playing with her brother immensely but Snowkit... She sighed. She fought back that urge to leave and leave them to their games but Spottedkit knew that would hurt Grasskit's feelings. So, as usual, she was dragged into another immature game. Oh well.
"Hey Snowkit!" she chirped pleasantly and listened as her brother spoke of their game. Well, it wasn't really a game. They had just started tackling each other but Grasskit's mind was a little wild so Spottedkit let this one slip and she just grinned and nodded. The young kitten had been watching Snowkit closely and noticed the change in posture right before she sprang so Spottedkit wasn't startled. She fought back right away though, gently batting at Snowkit's flank and eventually tackling her back.
"I am Spottedstar, the great leader of CloudClan! You are Snowstar, the leader of MoonClan and that is my Deputy Grass... uhh. Grass-whatever-you-want-your-warrior-name-to-be-Grasskit!"

.snowkit Various squeals whistled from her maw as Spottedkit gently pawed at her flank, the she kit rolling over until she was beside the other she kit, squirming around in a giggling heap of thick calico fur. Her soft amber occs blinked with every scream of laughter that left her maw, snowy paws flying into the air, wiggling around toward StarClan in a waving manor, above all she hadn't noticed in the midst of her fun. "Well, GrasswhateveryouwantyourwarriornametobeGrasskit" she blinked rather seriously, not getting what Spottedkit meant, before a sparkle of amusement glinted in her pools "Spottedstar will need help battling big ole' Snowstar" the five and a half moon kit giggled in a Innocent aura, rump wiggling until her paws flipped around and she was standing up.
Her brown and black fur was in uneven tufts with touches of dirt and grass sprouting from it as she looked at the other 'clan' with wide eyes, suddenly scared as she peered at the two. "I'm outnumbered" her half-whine, half-scared, mostly silly mew came as she moved her physique into a sitting position, looking for the best way to attack Grasskit now, lost in her own thought.

Grasskit
Grasskit frowned. "How come I'm the deputy?! I should be the leader, and you should be the medicine cat, Spottedkit, so you don't get hurt," the tomkit said protectively, his tiny tail waving around like a motor. The brown tom shook out his fur, making his black and gray hairs stand out more. He tried to be the strongest and best tom around to protect all the ladies but it seemed like he never had the chance to protect anyone. What was serious to him now seemed to be a joke to others.
The sturdy older kitten meowed and faced off with Snowkit, waving his tail like a banner. With claws sheathed he attacked her, batting at her fiercely. "I'm Grassstar--that's a mouthful!--and I'm here to defend my Clan!" He lowered himself playfully for another assault.

S P O T T E D K I T ,, Spottedkit didn't like this game anymore. Medicine Cat?? Stripped from her Leader position and given Medicine Cat. Oh fun. She frowned and padded away from the other two. "Alright. I'm Medicine Cat. Call me... Spottedfeather," the young kitten flew the name into the air with no trace of thought. She had played this game before with Grasskit. He was also Grassstar, the brave protective Leader and she was always Spottedfeather, the Medicine Cat on the side lines. "Now don't get hurt you two. Or I'll have to come over there and put flowers on you," she muttered, rolling her eyes and groaning.
She was really beginning to get tired of playing Medicine Cat. It was so boring and she didn't even get to fight! Spottedkit tried to make her best bored expression she could by sitting down, putting her tail over her paws, and sighing. She even tried to have a dull looking face. It was easy since she really was bored. Finally, she got bored of pretending to be bored, and she stood up and glared at Grasskit.
"How come you always get to be Leader?" she meowed, not whining to pleading. She was more angry and annoyed with her brother than upset. "And how am I going to get hurt if I'm a Leader? How do you know that I will loose?"

Grasskit Grasskit felt really bad for demoting his sister, and the tom stared at his paws. "Sorry, Spottedkit," he mumbled, fat tears wobbling onto his tiny paws. "C-can I be leader of BrightClan then? Y-you can be leader of CloudClan if...if you want." He sniffled and rubbed his nose, bending his ears back as he laid on his stomach. He didn't mean to cut her out of the bargain; it was just that being deputy seemed like a lousy job.

.snowkit She peered at 'Spottedstar' with blinking, soft amber pools as her calico tail flicked submissively peering at the scene before her. "Grassstar-yuck, that's quite big" she agreed with a giggle, her occs lingering on 'Spottedfeather' for a moment, watching her dull face as Grasskit attempted to protect his sister from harm, and sighed, attacked against her advantage as suddenly the tom-kit's physique was crashed against hers gently, his sheathed paws battling her. Her small paws flailed against his, attempting to knock him over, until he, while batting at her with his paws, hit one of her soft tickly spots and she flew over in a giggling heap.
"That was no fair, you knew that was my tickly spot!" she accused, mid hiccup, paws flailing in the air now with her snowy underbelly fur up wards facing StarClan, ignoring the obvious fact that 'Grassstar' had won the battle, she hiccuped and pulled herself to her paws, realizing what was going on between Grasskit and Spottedkit. "I can be medicine cat" she hiccuped cheerfully in a shrug, not really caring whatever she was as long as she could be part of the game. "I like flowers" she added with glee, looking around for a flower to pretend to heal the two kit's with.

S P O T T E D K I T ,, Spottedkit glared at her brother when he started to cry. She didn't glare because she was angry with him. She just felt angry with herself and the way Grasskit made her hate herself. She loved her brother and from knowing him so well, she knew that he was just trying to keep her safe. It was like a full time job for him, keeping everyone safe.
Finally, Spottedkit gave up trying to be upset with her brother. She came over beside him and pressed her tabby pelt against his. "I'm sorry I got mad Grasskit. It's just that I want to fight with you, too. And Medicine Cats don't fight, so thats awfully boring, don't you think?" Spottedkit said, giggling as she watched Snowkit look for a flower. Suddenly, she tackled her brother, laughing as she batted her paws against his chest.
"Don't worry about me hurting myself!"

Grasskit "But Ribbontail says there have been legends of medicine cats who fight," Grasskit said, lower lip wobbling. However, seeing as though Spottedkit wasn't mad at him anymore, he soon joined in on the game again. "Well, if Snowkit wants to be medicine cat, that's okay." He held out his paw dramatically. "I think I stubbed it." He wrinkled his nose as suddenly, Spottedkit tackled him. He meowed in surprise as she battered his chest.
