Dragonflydance turned her head on one side, raising one eyebrow in mock shrewdness. "Why would I say so if it was not so?" The medicine cat smiled. "Well, you'd better start believing it." The white she-cat shook her whiskers. "You should go and tell Eaglefeather. I'm sure he'll want to know... Unless you want it to be a surprise." Dragonflydance waved her tail. "You don't have to tell anyone yet, if you don't want to. I don't mind keeping a secret." Dragonflydance looked up at the clouds, knowing that StarClan decreed that a queen was not required to tell the clan who the father of her kits was unless she wished to.

Tawnypaw gave Barleypaw a glance, this half sad, half contemptuous. The she-cat padded across to Skyflight, shaking her head slightly as she did so. Her green eyes were irritated. Her day had not gone very well so far. Tawnypaw nodded quickly to her mentor, so that she did not seem disrespectful. "Can we train?" she asked. Maybe she could redeem herself in training. Tawnypaw twitched her tail. "I don't mind who else comes, as long as it's not him, or them." As she spoke, the apprentice flicked her tail towards Barrenpaw, Barleypaw and Treepaw in succesion. Tawnypaw sniffed and looked her mentor in the eyes.

Hailkit bounded into the medicine cat den, hearing Dragonflydance's voice inside. He stomped his small paws on the ground as loudly as he could (Which couldn't really be heard much).
"The Destructicator has arrived! Crushing all in his path, he leads his clan to victory every time!" He struck a heroic pose, but soon tripped and fell onto the ground. He coughed out some dust, then leapt quickly to his paws, acrhing his back and hissing.

Treepaw stuck his head in the air as he heard Tawnypaw's remark. 'I don't wanna go atrainin' with you nohow.' he said with an irritated flick of his tail. With a last glace at Tawnypaw he stalked towards the apprentices den. He grumbled to himself but them spotted a cricket running over the ground. At first he tried to restrain himself but then he forgot his anger and chased after it, tripping over himself as he swatted at it playfully. He stopped abruptly as it stopped and did a complete somersault. When he landed he shook his head, being dazed for a moment.

She looked over at Dewpaw, sitting alone and the other apprentices by the apprentices den. What a silly argument and all about mentors! Although getting into families wasnt good, thatv was just plain nasty when you got talking about cats families. She shook her head and looked back at Tawnypaw.}[/color]

Otterkit bounded up to Hailkit, "Hi, Hailkit!" she squeaked as she pounced him. "Nyah!" her energy had yet not run out, and she was willing to waste more on her crush, Hailkit.[/color]

I don't know if what is said to have happened is true, but I would like someone active to play Shadowkit. I need to talk to Fernie a little bit so we can be sure we're on the same page, so I can't be sure just yet. And I'm gonna talk to her about adding one or two to the litter. Isn't the max like, six or something?

Midnightlove smiled. "Thank you," she mewed. "Yes, I'm going to tell Eaglefeather, but I'll wait until I move into the nursery to tell the rest of the Clan." She sighed happily. She could see it now... She was imagining her and Eaglefeather watching the kits as they played a game together, squeaking and bouncing about. Waking from her daydream, she dipped to head to Dragonflydance. "I'll see you some other time," the black she-cat said, waving her tail. With that she bounded out of the den in search of Eaglefeather.</sup>

Barrenpaw muffled a "Yes, Stormstar," and headed off to the apprentice's den, lashing his tail as he passed Tawneypaw. "Stupid peice of fox-dung," he muttered, spitting on the ground. He circled around in his nest, as loudly as a fox in a fit. "I hate her." And he meant it. She had a problem. Not him. Just because he didn't have a father that he knew of didn't mean his father was a rouge or a kittypet! His father was probably the best warrior the whole forest had ever known! It was all Tawneypaw's fault. Now Stormstar was cross with him and may not choose him as his apprentice! He padded over to Barleypaw and sat down near his sister. "Hey, want to go hunting?" he meowed. "I guess there's nothing else to do around here, anyway."

At the sound of hunting Barleypaw smiled, "Sure, why not," she said and stood up. "Where do you want to hunt?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.

Tawnypaw nodded to Midnightlove. As Barrenpaw stalked past, she caught his remark. The she-cat opened her ready mouth to send stinging insults back at the tom, but suddenly she felt as though something were stuck in her throat. Recognizing the feeling, Tawnypaw shut her mouth and blinked. "Forget the training," she mumbled. "I'm going for a walk." Tawnypaw then rushed from the camp. She did not want the others to see her crying. The apprentice tried to blink the tears away, before striding into the trees alone.

Dragonflydance smiled at Midnightlove as the she-cat left the medicine den. Then she noticed the small bundle of snowy fur that was her youngest brother, Hailkit. The medicine cat smiled at the sight of the kitten as he arched his back, fur bristling. Dragonflydance leant towards him and pulled a scrap of moss from behind one of his ears. The white she-cat turned to Otterkit. "Hello, trouble," she mewed to Hailkit. "Hi, Otterkit." Dragonflydance raised her eyebrows at her little brother. "What're you up to then, Destrucicator?"

_{Skyflight opened her mouth as Tawnypaw walked away but she didnt know what to say. She looked angrily after Barrenpaw and walked over to Dewpaw. "Dewpaw? I think Tawnypaw is upset, will you go after her? I need to talk to Stormstar" she said, looking pleadingly at the apprentice.
Dewpaw looked up at the sound of Skyflights voice. She looked after her sister's retreating form. "Yeah sure. Bet it was that stupid Barrenpaw" she hissed the last part of her sentence and padded out of camp after Tawnypaw.
Skyflight smiled to the apprentice and then walked to Stormstars den. "Stormstar? Are you in there? Its me" she said, waiting for her mate's reply.}[/color]

"Hi Otterkit!" Mewed Hailkit, brushing her side with his tail. Turning back to Dragonflydance he bounced up and down a few times. "The Destructicator is going to save the clans!" He jumped round to face Otterkit. "And you can be my sidekick, Ultratiger!" He squeaked.

Barrenpaw shot a smug glance at Barleypaw as Tawneypaw raced away from camp, but guild pricked him like shards of ice. Shrugging this off, he blinked at his sister. "What about Birch Glade? I caught a bunch of prey there yesterday." He waved his tail and set off across camp.

Dragonflydance smiled at the kits. "Well, if your going to play, be careful around my herbs," she warned gently, long tail waving. The medicine cat laughed softly, turning and disappearing into her den.

Two kits appeared from the nursery. One was yowling a battle cry, his big paws pounding the grass. His fur was a blue-grey colour, like slate, and his wide sapphire eyes reflected his excitement. Behind him, a smaller kit padded more demurely. Her fur was white, but sun-ginger patches splashed over her sides and back. She blinked her green eyes in sunlight, they're blind depths following ther friend's progress across the clearing. Indigokit pounced on Hailkit, pummeling his brother's back with his wide forepaws. "Rargh, the great Indigostar, leader of TigerClan, is going to kill you, traitor!" Tansykit padded towards the other three kits, and sat a tail length away from them. "Hi, Hailkit, Otterkit," she greeted them, tail tip flicking politely. She kept her sightless green gaze on her paws, as she knew it unnerved some.

Hailkit yowled ferociously as Indigokit pounced on him. He rolled onto the ground, in an attempt to shake his brother off. "Aah! No! The Destructicator shall not fall! Ultratiger, help!" He squeeked. Noticing Tansykit he mewed in greeting, then returned to rolling on the ground.

'Ultratiger' squeaked joyfully and pounced playfully on Indigo'star'. She smiled, "Yeah! Oh, hey Tansykit!" and she continued her tackling. "Ultratiger and Destructicator of the rogues have come to save the clans from TigerClan!" she cried happily.

^{Shortly after returning to his den, Stormstar recognized the call of his mate. His gaze drifted and met her's, lightning yellow colored eyes sparking with curiousity. "Yes, Skyflight?" he mewed.}

_{Skyflight purred and entered Stormstars den. She padded up to him and touched her nose to his, still purring loudly. Wrapping her tail around her paws she sat down and looked at him with her light green eyes. "We need to do something about the apprentices. Tawnypaw has just dashed out of camp, i think she was upset. Dewpaw's gone after her but this has gone way too far already. Please will you talk to them, I just don't really want my apprentice too despondent to even train" she said, licking a paw and drawing it over an ear a few times.}[/color]

Indigokit squeaked as Hailkit rolled over, dislodging him. The blue-grey kitten struggled to his paws, only to be pounced on by Otterkit. The tom squealed and began to maul the she-cat with his forepaws, eyes gleaming. "No, the combined strength of Destructicator and his sidekick, Ultratiger, is too much for Indigostar alone!" Indigokit threw back his head in mock despair, and yowled; "Tansywing, my trusted deputy, I need you!" The kitten let the last word roll over his tongue for far longer than usaul. Tansykit hid a smile, her blind eyes flickering upward breifly. She recognized the offer to join in with the play fighting, but gave a tiny shake of her head. She knew she couldn't play properly; she'd only ruin the game for the others.

_{Dewpaw exploded into camp, her paws hardly touching the ground as she ran towards the medicine cat den. "Dragonflydance!" she shrieked. Her vision was so blurred with tears she nearly bashed right into the medicine cat, who was watching the kits play. "Dragonflydance! We need you....Vapour Falls....Tawnypaw found mother in the river and shes.....Dewpaw paused as she struggled not to cry. "She's not breathing!" she cried, before collapsing on the ground, great sobs making her whole body shudder.}

Treepaw jumped as he heard Dewpaw call out. He ran quickly over to her, eyes big. He licked her head comfortingly, as always he didn't like to see tears. 'It's okay, calm down, I'm sure Dragonflydance'll save her, she'll be right as rain soon.' He sat down next to her worriedly. 'Right Dragonflydance?' He called loudly, clsoe to tears himself to see someone else so brought down. He always had been an excitable chap, and now he was really bent out of shape. Poor Tawnypaw! He shuddered.

Barrenpaw was about to meow, Serves her right, she was the one who ran off, but somehow couldn't find the words. It was as if there was a peice of fresh-kill lodged in his throat. What if Tawnypaw... died? He always said he hated her, and although at times that may be true, knowing Tawnypaw was dead would just be unbeleivable. He looked bleakly at the horror-stricken Dewpaw, guilt gripping his heart like ice-cold talons: This was all this fault. If he hadn't made Tawnypaw so angry, she never would have run off. He didn't want to be responsible for another cat's death! Still staring at Dewpaw through half-closed eyes, he wrapped his tail around his paws and forced his neck fur to lie flat.

The medicine cat sensed crease of disquiet in the air. Her dark blue eyes opened wide and she sprang from her den the moment before Dewpaw burst into the camp. Dragonflydance ushered Indigokit, Hailkit, Otterkit and Tansykit into her den out of the way. The snowy she-cat ran to Dewpaw, her fur on end. Dragonflydance listened to her words, and her eyes flashed with urgency. The she-cat swallowed this feeling and let her mind float with calm. She darted to her den, returning quickly with a mouthful of herbs. Spitting them out, she pushed them at Treepaw and Barrenpaw. "Carry these," she mewed, voice commanding but calm. "All three of you follow me." Dragonflydance draped her tail over the distraught apprentice's shoulders, and called out to Barleypaw. "Tell Stormstar what has happened." She then ran out of camp, her paws fleet and ready for the task ahead.

<sub>Oleanderpaw's large fluffy frame towered over Tansykit's and Indigokit's. The near-warrior smiled at the playful kits, but when Dewpaw came in, hysterically meowing about Lemonzest, the monochromatic brown tom came to attention. Seeing Dragonflydance nudge the four kits into her den, he called out to the medicine cat, "I will watch them, Dragonflydance!" He laid on his stomach by Indigokit, Tansykit, Hailkit, and Otterkit, purring at them. "You guys can play with me if you want. We just have to keep away from Dragonflydance's herbs and stuff because that is only for the medicine cat herself," he said. "I can help you, Indigostar." Oleanderpaw smiled congenially at the young tomkit.

Deliriumstep blinked when she saw Dewpaw come in, distraught. The dark-gray female came to her paws like the apprentices. She frowned in concern and loped over to Dewpaw's side, purring to help consol her. "Dewpaw, Dragonflydance is going to try and help your mother," Deliriumstep said gently, nuzzling the apprentice's head. She nodded to the medicine cat. If Lemonzest truly is dying, may StarClan receive her well. She was a great warrior, the young warrioress thought.</sub>

The blue-grey kit's dark eyes widened as Dewpaw burst into the camp. He took in her ruffled form, but before he could hear what she was saying, Dragonflydance pushed him into her den along with Otterkit, Tansykit and Hailkit. Indigokit let out an indignant noise. He glared at his big sister as she disappeared again. The tom grumpily flopped down, angry that he wasn't being treated like a five moons old kit. He was being treated like he was two moons. Indigokit snorted. There is a difference. Three moons difference. Indigokit looked up at Oleanderpaw as he padded into the den. He sprang back into the game, fluffing out his fur. "Okay then, Oleanderfur, your my deputy!" He leapt at Hailkit, bristling.

Tansykit looked down, though of course she saw nothing. She noticed Indigokit quickly replace her with a newcomer, who she scented was Oleanderpaw. The bling kitten blinked slowly, her large pupils darker and blacker than a usaul cat's.

_{Oleanderpaw frowned, thinking Indigokit was being unfair to Tansykit. He had named her Tansywing, his deputy first. Oleanderpaw could only be a warrior for the kit's game. However, seeing the expression on Tansykit's face, maybe she didn't want to play. He tilted his head as 'Indigostar' leapt for his 'mortal enemies', turning to Tansykit. "You are not going to play with us? You don't have to fight Ultratiger and Destructator. You could be our medicine cat or something," he suggested, trying to be helpful and not leave her out.}

[FIREH!!]

_{Stripedkit padded to the blind kit. "Hey Tansykit!" She called to her half sister. "How are you?" She asked. The bigger kit walked over closer and licked Tansykit's head.}

_{Dewpaw nodded shakily at Treepaw as he comforted her, the earlier fight forgotten for now. She looked up to see who Dragonflydance was bringing with her and felt her heart drop further. Great. Treepaw and Barrenpaw. How could things possibly get any worse? She nodded weakly to Delriumstep and shot out of camp after Dragonflydance, sobs still shaking her shoulders and tears still blurring her vision.}[/color]

Barrenpaw nodded and followed Dragonflydance out of camp. Tawnypaw was not going to die... right? Not that he would miss her, but... it was really his fault, wasn't it? He shivered. If she did die... What would Stormstar do? Would he stop him from becoming a warrior? Or even worse, would he be driven out of CloudClan? Forcing himself to focus on something else, he wondered why, for StarClan's sake, had Tawnypaw seen her mother in the water? She must be mouse-brained to belive that if she jumped in the water she would see her mother! Sighing, he glanced sideways at Treepaw and Dewpaw. He wanted to press his fur up against his brothers, but there was no way that would happen. Not with him.

Indigokit battered Hailkit with his paws, looking up in distraction as Oleanderpaw spoke to Tansykit. He frowned slightly. The blind kitten was his friend, but she never wanted to play. The blue-grey tom sighed, then continued his assualt of his brother. He gave a squeak of triumpth as he thumped the tom's thin sides with his wide paws.

Tansykit blinked as she heard Oleanderpaw's voice. She jumped as she realized the tom had been speaking to her. The white and ginger she-cat tried to remember what he had said, and twitched her ears as she did so. "Um, it's okay," she mumbled, shuffling her forepaws. "I dunno any herbs, or anything, and I might get in your way or something." Tansykit was not seeking attention; it had happened to her often enough. The she-cat scented Stripedkit the minute before the other kitten licked her between the ears. Tansykit relaxed a little. Stripedkit was the only one she felt comfortable looking at and talking to. The she-cat smiled slightly. "I'm alright," she mewed. "What about you? Excited about being an apprentice?" Tansykit reflected, as she said this, that she would most likely never be an apprentice herself. She sighed.

Otterkit squealed happily and rammed Indigokit in the side with her head, not hard, but hard enough to knowck him over, "Un!" she cried triumphantly.[/size]
