The muscular blue-grey warrior lifted his head from his paws, blinking his yellow eyes in the fierce glare of sunlight. Yawning, he pricked up one ear. He then rolled onto his paws and pressed his muzzle into his mate's. "What is it?" |

Skytomb shook himself, smiling at his mate's gentle teasing. The blue-grey warrior padded outside, his shoulders a relaxed slope. The tom sat on the warm ground, looking directly into his mate' sapphire eyes. "What is it?" he repeated. |

"I'm moving to the nursery soon," the gleam in Icelily's sapphire eyes was full of excitement.

The words took a few moments to hit Skytomb. Then he purred explosively, plunging his muzzle into Icelily's cheek. "That's great!" he mewed, rubbing his nose into the white she-cat's cheek. Skytomb licked Icelily's ears. Can I tell Midnightsky and the others?" He knew his daughter, Dragonflydance, the medicine cat, would already know of this, because she must have confirmed it. |

"Yes. Call them together to tell them." Her eyes were glowing as she licked Skytomb's muzzle.

[bic;] Skytomb noddex, giving Icelily's muzzle a last lick before slipping into the warriors' den. He nudged Midnightsky awake, prodding his son in the ribs to awaken him. "Go to your mother, she's outside, we've got something to tell you," Skytomb mewed into the blue-grey tabby's ear before running to the medicine cat's den.
His daughter, Dragonflydance, was sitting just outside her den, and ray of bright morning sunshine catching her pure white fur. She was mixing a pile of fragrant herbs with her small white paws. As her father approached, the white she-cat got to her paws, looking slightly anxious. "Has your fever started up again...?" The medicine cat bustled over to Skytomb, running her nose down his flanks worriedly.
Skytomn chuckled, gently pushed his daughter's muzzle away. "I'm fine. You'll already about Icelily, but I want you to be there when we tell Midnightsky." Dragonflydance's face lit up and she smiled. "Okay." As her father led the way back over to Icelily, Dragonflydance followed. |

Midnightsky sighed and got up. He padded outside and touched noses with his mother. "Hey mom," he meowed.

Skytomb sat on his haunches a tail-length away from his mate, smiling. He waited for Icelily to tell Midnightsky the good news. Dragonflydance beamed a her brother, ears arched forwards. She padded over to him, touching her nose to his and twining her tail with his. The two had been close since their kithood. "Go on, tell him," Dragonflydance purred, the appeal directed at her mother. |

Midnightsky smiled at his sister. "Go on, mom," he meowed, smiling.
Icelily looked around, "I want the others here too," she meowed.
Cloakedpaw ran over. "I'm here!" he meowed.

Halopaw padded into camp with a distant look in her blue eyes. The blue was now touched slightly with green, as though soon the blue would twist into grassy-green. Halopaw pricked up her ears as she heard Cloakedpaw cry out. She spotted her mother and father, her older brother and sister, and Cloakedpaw all sat in a close huddle. The kitten stumbled over to them and sat. |

Haloaw purred faintly, butting her forehead gently against her mother's soft chin. "What's all this about?" the little ginger tabby rasped. Dragonflydance's dark sapphire eyes glimmered with excitement and she flicked her long white tail happily. |

Icelily took a deep breath. "I'm pregnant." She was glowing. "I'm going to have more kits!" She was smiling so wide.
Cloakedpaw's jaw dropped. "Congratulations, mommy!" he cried, barreling himself into her.
Midnightsky smiled. "I guessed so." he laughed. "Congratulations," he rested his tail on his mom's shoulder before turning to his father. "So, ready for more children?" he asked, laughing.

Dragonflydance smiled at Clokedpaw joy, curling her long white tail affectionately around her little brother's neck. "Congratulations," she mewed in her soft, gentle voice, her sapphire eyes gleaming with happiness for her mother and father.
Halopaw was stunned for a moment. She was to have more brothers and sisters? She had enough already! Then her indignance melted away into cceptance and contentment. If this was what her parents wanted, so be it. "Congratulations," she mewed quietly.
Skytomb smiled at Midnightsky. "Yes." His yellow eyes looked up at the blue sky, and his smile faltered a little. "And a new apprentice." |

Dragonflydance whipped her tail out of her brother's reach before gently prodding him on the flank with its tip. She then laughed, her voice like a bell chiming, licking the little ginger tabby between the ears.
kytomb smiled weakly at his son. "Yes, yes," he mused quietly. "We should be happy. Shoalpaw would've wanted us to be." The blue-grey tom licked his mate between the ears. |

Icelily looked at Skytomb, tears in her eyes. "Yes, he would have," she mewed.
Midnightsky, also, had tears in his eyes. Shoalpaw was his brother after all. He bowed his head in silent mourning. He felt as if it was his fault.
Ooc:// I'm gonna make up Shoal's death, kay?
bic:// "C'mon Midnightsky!" Meowed Shoalpaw. "Let's hunt!"
Okay," he purred, trotting after his brother. He decided to take out Shoalpaw for his father, and Skytomb had said it was okay. "Let's go!" As soon as those words were out of his mouth, he heard a terrible wailing. "Shoalpaw!" Midnightsky screamed. He ran to his brother's side, the tattered body barely moving. Gingerly, he picked up the body and lifted it home. "Dragonflydance!" he cried, bursting into her den. "Shoalpaw is hurt!" When he dropped the kitten though, he realized it was too late. Shoalpaw had died. Midnightsky wailed. It was all his fault. His family had kept silent mourning the whole night.
Midnightsky shook away the memory, looking at his family. "I'm sorry..." he whispered.
Cloakedpaw batted Midnightsky. "It wasn't your fault," he chirped, "You didn't know he was going to be killed by that rogue." He pressed comfortingly against his brother.

Skytomb hissed suddenly, his yellows eyes slits. "If I ever get my claws on that rogue, I'll shred then into little pieces." He swiped unsheathed claws through the air, as if imagining his enemy in front of him.
"It was my fault too," Dragonflydance mewed quietly. "You brought him to me, but I didn't have the right herbs..." A tear fell onto one of her small white paws. |
