The blue-grey shape of Skytomb limped into camp, his wet fur still plastered to his body. His yellow eyes were unsaully dull and he looked exhausted. The warrior casted a look back to check if Skyflight and Eaglefeather were coming, but the simple action made his head reel and his legs collapsed beneath him. Shaking his head to clear it, he looked up.
Dragonflydance had been sorting a pile of juniper and watermint in her den when she scented her father. She trotted outside, mewing a greeting which transformed into a strangled gasp when she saw him. Rushing over, the white medicine cat mewed: "What happened?"
"Fell in the... river," Skytomb grunted. "Eaglefeather... Check him first... He's worth more than me.."

[fernie. (:]

'You know that's not true.' rasped Eaglefeather, warming up slightly now. He limped over to stand beside Skytomb, his dark tabby fur almost black with the water.

[Spice..xx]

Skyflight sat down. She couldnt say anything. Her whole body shuddered as she let out a strangled sob. The guilt in her heart was immense and she couldnt even bring herself to look at Skytomb.

ooc: aww that was so sweet! i feel really sad now!

Eaglefeather shuffled closer to Skyflight, knowing that she thought it was her fault. He tapped her shoulder gently with his tail. 'S'okay.' he mumbled.

[Spice..xx]

Skyflight looked at him through brimming eyes. " No its not" she whispered and turning her back quickly before she cried again she jogged over and into the warriors den.

[FIREH!!]

Icelily trotted out of the warrior's den, just to see her mate soaked. "Skytomb!" she raced over to him, pressing against him to warm him up. "What happened?" She asked.

[snowstorm]

Snowstorm padded into the clearing with fresh kill in her jaws. After seeing the scene, she immediatly dropped the prey and ran over. "What has happened?" The deputy questioned, looking over each soakign warrior carefully. "You didn't fall in the river did you?" Snowstorm finally added.

[SHADE. :D]

Skytomb pressed his clammy cheek against Icelily's reassuringly, but the cold, damp skin shook aginst her warm, silky fur. Shivering, Skytomd watched Skyflight pad away. He flicked his tail for Eaglefeather to stay, though his muscles shrieked in protest. The dark tabby warrior needed to be checked over. He eyed Snowstorm, then hissed; "That's what I said, isn't it?" The blue-grey warrior forgot to be resoectful to the deputy in his condition.
Dragonflydance dipped her head, obliging to her father's request. She knew that it was no use arguing with the stubborn tom. She ran her muzzle through Eaglefeather's sodden fur gently, feeling for leeches. When the tom appeared leech-free, she asked; "Do you feel sick or dizzy?" Her tender voice relaxed Skytomb a little.

[FIREH!!]

"Don't mind him. He's an angry furball when he gets wet," the humorous voice belonged to none other than Midnightsky. He came up beside Snowstorm and smiled.

[SHADE. :D]

Skytomb glared at his son, before twisting his neck around to lick a tangled clump of wet fur on his back. He winced as his mucles strained.

[FIREH!!]

Icelily gently nudged him from licking himself and began to lick the tangled clump, smoothing it down so it wasn't tangled.

Eaglefeather licked himself nervously as all the cats gathered round him. His fur was starting to dry sticking out, so he tried to lick it back into place. His neck muscles twanged with pain though, and he stopped.

[SHADE. :D]

Dragonflydance gave the dark tabby tom a gentle nudge and repeated her question. She was eager to move onto her father so neither cat would suffer. And maybe Skyflight needed thyme for the shock...

'Uhh... A bit dizzy, but not sick.' Eaglefeather replied, his eyes dull with exhaustion.

[snowstorm]

Snowstorm bit back a sharp responce to Skytomb but thought better of it, being in his state and all. She turned and smiled at Midnightsky. She nuzzled him lightly. Snowstorm turned to Skytomb again. "Just get checked up by the medicine cat." She added.

[FIREH!!]

Midnightsky smiled. "Are you okay, Dad?" he asked. "Want to hunt later?" he added to Snowstorm.

[SHADE. :D]

"What do you think?" mewed Skytomb irrotably. The shivers that wracked through his body were embarrasing him.
Draginflydance nosed over Eaglefeather's pelt one last time. "I think you'll be okay. No damage done. Well, nothing a good rest won't cure."
The white she-cat moved on to her father, pushing him gently to his feet. She checked him over quickly, and was alarmed when he swayed on his paws. "You'd better stay in my den tonight." She decided. For a moment she disappeared into the shadows of the medicine cat's den, then returned with a large clump of thyme in her jaws. She gave some to Eaglefeather, dividing it into two before saying; "Give some to Skyflight. And then I want you both to rest, and in the morning come and see me in my den for a checkover. Both of you." She then began to herd her father into her den.

Ooc: Tehe Skytomb's getting all the attention!
Bic: Eaglefeather grasped the thyme in his jaws and padded slowly over to the warriors den, his limbs stiff from sitting down. 'Skyflight? I have some thyme for you, from Dragonflydance.' he mewed, his eyes adjusting to the darkness.

[ooc;] I know. I needed something dramatic to happen to him. He's boring otherwise. :3

Skyflight glanced up at Eaglefeather. "Thank you" she said quietly before slowly picking at the thyme. She was still overwhelmed by guilt. She polished off the rest of the thyme before turning away to groom herself.

ooc: I know shes overeacting its just something to say lol!

'Are you... okay?' asked Eaglefeather, settling down to give himself a good grooming. His fur was still cold and wet, so he rasped his tongue over his pelt so it went the wrong way, which got him warmer quicker.

[Spice..xx]

Skyflight paused for a moment. "Well kinda but i feel guilty" she mumbled quietly.

[fernie. (:]

'You don't have anything to feel guilty for...' Eaglefeather mumbled, his head filled with thoughts of Midnight. 'You didn't exactly push Skytomb into the river.'

[Spice..xx]

Skyflight blinked. "Yes but...well he made me feel bad for going to you first.....not that i shouldnt have done but..." She tailed of at this last sentence.

[fernie. (:]

'That's probably because I had almost gotten him to the bank. I was stupid to go in after him but I wouldn't have saved him if I hadn't. No-one would have noticed if I jumped in and swam like a fish, then came out with dry fur. It was all about Skytomb.' he said sadly.

[Spice..xx]

Skyflight looked at him sympathetically. " Well i was there and i know how brave you were. And it wasnt stupid it showed your courage! And mabye it was because all his family were there and well you know how family is." she smiled.

[fernie. (:]

'Yes, you were there. Huh, family. It just felt like I wasn't wanted.' he said quietly.

[Spice..xx]

"Well thats their problem." Skyflight mumbled. She looked over at Eaglefeather. She felt a tingling that ran from the tip of her nose to the tips of her toes. She shook her head angrily. What was this feeling?

ooc; By the way everyone i know Eaglefeather and Midnight are together lol!

Eaglefeather let out a rumbling chuckle, feeling a lot better after talking to Skyflight. He settled down into his mossy nest and rested his head on his paws.

Skyflight watched Eaglefeather for a moment before curling up in her own nest. She desperately needed to sleep after such an exciting patrol. She wriggled around a bit to get comfy and then started to drift off to the sound of Eaglefeathers steady breathing.
