A dark gray tom ducked his head as he walked through the entrance of his den. His face was still stirn from speaking with the other leader that was in camp at that moment but his heart was leaping wth joy and beating faster every moment. He set himself comfortably in his large nest of feathers, ferns, and moss. He turned to face the entrance of his den and waited for Lemonzest to come. |

The light brown tabby shape of Lemonzest followed Cormorantstar, slipping into his den. Her white paws moved silently on the stone as she crept over to him and stood beside him, twining her long, white-tipped tail with his mottled grey one. She purred loudly and rubbed his jaw with her nose. |

Cormorantstar purred as he felt Lemonzest's cold nose rub against his chin. He bent over and licked her ear with his pink tongue. "I have to tell you something, Lemonzest,"he mewed softly with a twinkle in his eye. |

The tabby purred. "Go on. I'm listening." SHe curled herself around him, chin rested on his soft grey back. She nestled her cheek into his fur, hoping that she would not be just another failure like Lonelyheart. At least our romance is legal. She thought blissfully. |

Sighing, Cormorantstar continued. "I'm so sorry, Lemonzest"he mewed slowly,"I was stupid to fall for Lonelyheart's tricks. She was looking for love and so was I but I was blind to see that you didn't love me. For I've always loved you back I just never-" He cut himself off. He couldn't go on babbling about this all day. He had to cut to the chase. "Lemonzest, I love you more than any other cat in this whole Clan. I'd die for you!"he exclaimed and looked back at her. His eyes were soft and he nuzzled her side, purring wildly. |

Lemonzest purred loudly and responded to Cormorantstar's touch, pressing her muzzle into his warm grey fur and licking his cheek. "And I love you Cormorantstar, like I can love no other. Say you'll never leave me," the tabby mewed. She looked up at the grey tom with serious yellow eyes. |

Cormorantstar blinked his soft eyes a few times before he closed them and smiled. "Never again, love,"he purred. He paused to take a deep breath. "I swear by the light of StarClan that I will be with you for the rest of our days,"he meowed and smiled softly. |

Lemonzest smiled softly and nuzzled him. She remembered seeing Silver, Sunjinx and Ribbonkit cuddled up together one cold morning. She had felt jealous at the time, but she now felt happy for the little family. They deserved something to cheer hem after such tragedies. Lemonzest sighed. She so wanted to mother.
She turned to look at Cormorantstar, eyes dazzlingly bright.
"You have matters to attend to," she breathed, tenderly licking his cheek. "I'kk talk to you later." She blinked at him lovingly before leaving his den. |

Cormorantstar watched her leave the den. His eyes were soft and loving. He thought of her and how he had made such a bad choice to love Lonelyheart. He felt bad for her and had been blinded by her story to notice Lemonzest loved him and he loved her back, so much. He sighed and nodded briskly. He shook himself and padded out of his den. It was time to hold a ceremony. |
