The sky was gold and filled with the large sun, it was very hard to look at it or even hard to look up. Twelve paws walked low to the ground, the bodies they carried stayed low in the long grass. Letting the cool and soft grass brush on their pelts and keep them in shadows. A pair of ice-blue eyes and a pitch black pelt lead the other eight paws, russet-amber eyes and a black pelt with russet-amber stripes followed along at the black toms side. The last was leaf-green eyes and a white pelt with silver stripes which followed in the back.
The black tom moved slowly and catiously through the tall grass, making sure that his scent was clear away from the prey infront of him. The other tom was at his side, he flicked his tail out to make the other stop as he crept forward weaving in and out of the grass. His ice-blue eyes were all for the rabbit sat cooling down, he darted forward with quick speed. His tail low to the ground but not to low, the rabbit had scented his aproach and took off. He veered to the right and bolted straight, the rabbit ran into him and his paw came down on it's head quickly. Ghostnight grabbed his prize and went back to Scorchedleaf and Thunderdance. "Now that's what I call skill" His boastful meow was full of joke and enthusiasm.

// Sorrow gave me permission to post this. No father wants a reunion like this... 'Nice catch! My turn!' He lifted his head and took a great sniff.Mouse, vole, and... Sorrowfrost! 'You guys! I can smell Sorrowfrost!' He ran around frantically to find her. 'Sorrowfrost? Come on out! You don't need to hide any longer!' His heart lifted with joy as he thought of a reunion qwith his daughter. He reached a stream. The scent stopped there. Lying in the shallow bank was a lifeless form of a cat. The pelt was covered in sand so one could not tell who it was. 'Ghostnight? I found something... I need your help.' He went to grab the cat to drag it out. He noticed the dark pelt underneath. As he picked up the scruff of the neck, he smelled the scent he knew from when this cat was a kit. It couldn't be... not to him... It can't happen. 'No... Sorrowfrost?'

//TT-TT tis sad... Blair can you post with the fox attacking, that would mean we each have our own little (or big) parts
//Ghostnight dropped his catch when Scorchedleaf said that he could smell the old deputy. His nose went up and he could smell cat, he didn't know the she-cats scent but he knew the cat smell was her. Ghostnight took off after Scorchedleaf, he stopped at the smell of something else. He stopped dead in his tracks, his blue eyes filled with fear and shock. His pelt started to quiver with terror, and his mouth opened in the form of a name. A name that he and his sister had been living in terror from for many moons. A cat that was the opposite of his name "Halo..." Ghostnight's fear filled voice sounded like the wind as he whispered his dead brothers name.
The gray tom stalked in the long grass without moving one thead of grass and not even touching the ground. His cold green eyes searched for the only 2 souls that he wanted to kill. The toms ghostly gray pelt rippled every step into the air he took. Spotting his prey's tail ahead of him, he ran forward with a unreal speed. He stood behind the black tom with an evil grin as Ghostnight stopped and started trembling. As his brother said his name he filled with pleasure at the fear that stuck in every hair on his body. "Yes brother... I've come back for my beautiful revenge and it's my turn to take your life!" His voice was calm and evil until he got to the last word, he snarled life and ran at his brother full speed knocking him down. Ghostnight tried to claw Halo but his paws just went through his brother, and yet his brother weight kept him from escaping. "Scorchedleaf! Thunderdance! help me!" His crying pleas were full of fear, terror, and rage.

scorchedleaf, jerked from his disbelief, heard Ghostnight's call. He rushed up the bank to his side. 'What's wrong, Ghostnight?' He was distracted, he didn't even see the ghost. His mind took him back to the bank where the cat lay. He shook his head, and mewed, 'Ghostnight? What's going on?'

//don't worry I'm not going to kill him
//Ghsotnight looked at Scorchedleaf with terror, could he not see that I'm being attacked by my dead brother? He felt something sharp on his back, and felt blood ooze from the wounds that were inflicted upon him. "My brother! Get him off! My brother's going to kill me!" Ghostnight's voice rose an octive if that was even possible for a tom.
Halo's green eyes looked from the other warrior to his brother and smiled with pleasure. The other tom could not see him, maybe if I whisper he would hear my threat. "I will let you go this time just remember that if I catch both you and our sister together alone then I'll have my revenge then!" His voice was carried by the wind almost he was speaking to both his brother and the other tom. With one blood tipped clawed paw he dug deep into Ghostnight's pelt and raked back, making the black tom howl in pain. Then the specter was gone.

//You had me worried for a second there...
Scorchedleaf looked in terror as marks appeared on his friend's pelt by magic. He could feel a presence, could it be a dead warrior returned to haunt him? That's not possible.. Scorchedleaf shook his head. 'Ghostnight! Are you alright?' He stared at his friend. He had witnessed the most creepiest thing he could ever imagine. This had taken his mind off of Sorrowfrost. 'Do you need a medicine cat?'

{ooc; So sorry everyone x3 I've been sick for the past two days}
What is wrong with them?
Thunderdance studied all that was happening, and as she moved farther from the group, her silvery, snowy bodice pulled to the ground with seeming an unknown magnetic force with skilled hunting instincts, her silky underbelly furs just brushing the ground though with no alert to any prey, the twitch of her two front paws would tell any knowledgeable cat this warrioress was ready to pounce, and would give her a count down of a maximum of two seconds. The prey dashed, in a mad frenzy of something Thunderdance knew she could have not caused as she opened herself to the real world again and heard Ghostnight yowl in the terror of a long ago daughter of his, her white pelt moving in an unknown terror to help him, though not quickly enough her wide leafy orbs was opened to the horror of what he had found, then she moved quicker with an even odder force and beat of heart unknown to her to rescue Scorchedleaf, though as she sat beside him, as he seemed to be battling an unknown object-or at least, she could not see it- she took her own sweet time to sit down beside him, her silver tail wrapping majestically around her paws as she tried to regain composure to cover her frightened obviously image, her snowy fur now looking as if it was frizzled and on end. "What the heck--" 'is wrong with you' she wished to finish as she gazed at Scorchedleaf with an not yet discovered passion and humor, though a scent seemed to capture her senses within a mill-second, her attention completely on a single bush, a single tree, as her tail arose, swashing from side to side mechanically her paws now twitched with anger as she released her coal claws again, letting them grace the soft ground of the earth as a fox revealed its true figure.
Well, actually, in Thunderdance's mind it replayed her daydream, as she seemed to bound up to it with the glee of a kit she imagined it as the fiery butterfly of her earlier imagining, though to all others it was simply a terrifying fox, she flew to it like a kit to a butterfly, or a kit to it's mother. As she attacked it with full force, the fox leaped up with her on it's back with her ashen claws striking it's back angrily as she soared torwards Scorchedleaf-much like in her dream of how she soared up somehow, now because her attention was so focused- before she dived deep down into the black abyss, which of course, in reality was her cold, harsh plummet to the earth...
Or is just me

ooc:// No power-playing, guys. Hopefully that should already be ingrained in you.
bic:// Spittle rimmed the purple and red gums of the beast as his wild auburn eyes glared out at the two toms and one fae. His brown-black ears bent back as he hissed, having thrown Thunderdance off. The vix barked out loud at the cats, advancing upon the one most injured. His lip curled hungrily; his legs tightened their springs as he crouched and then lunged upon Ghostnight hungrily, disregarding the other two as trash.
The vix's claws flailed madly, his paws almost trying to dig the fur and flesh off of the MoonClanner. He attempted to knot Ghostnight's hair in his fangs and yank the cat around, but both males were moving erratically to dodge.[/color]

An orange figure, on her way back from the Gathering, told Wovenknot to lead the clan, for she needed to hunt and think. An all too familiar scent washed over her and she raced towards it. She noticed the limp body of Sorrowfrost and the living one of the fox. Without even thinking, Firestar threw herself at the fox and clawed.

Ghostnight could scent the beast around them, but he was to shocked to warn them. When the fox jumped out of the tall grass he knew he was doomed. Ghostnight felt it's large fangs dig into his back and yank. He slashed out at it with terror filled eyes, he hoped his claws his it's mark for the beastly thing kept shaking him. A familur scent washed over him and his eyes went from terror to relief, Firestar had attacked the fox.
A brown frame launched out from the grass, ivory claws outstreched. Her green-yellow eyes blazing, nothing was going to hurt this clan! Mudfur had been hunting alone to get her mind off things and she was close enough to here the desprate crys for help from Ghostnight. Her brown body fell into position with Firestar's and started clawing at the fox.

The fox roared in pain, rearing upon onto his hind legs as his prey slashed his muzzle. He was then fiercely barraged by two she-cat. The vix screamed angrily, arching its neck back in its violent attempt to wrench at least one of the cat's off of him. He fell onto all fours once more, snarling and hissing madly. The vix then rolled onto its back, clawing and kicking at the females attacking him. Their claws snarled into the wiry hair that covered the fox's muscles and skin. It was Newleaf, meaning that it was mating season. This vix needed food for his mate...wherever he could find it. These cats would make wonderful meals.

Scorchedleaf had made it back down to the bank, after making sure that Ghostnight was okay, to clean the poor she's pelt more. Then he heard the yowl, then scented it. Fox! He ran to see what was going on, then found Thunderdance. 'Thunderdance! Are you alright? Is Ghostnight? what happened?' He demanded. Then he turned and saw Ghostnight. Flinging himself to protect his friend, he lashed out at the fox. His anger and grief at what he knew was waiting for him at the bank was lashed out in these fury of claws. He attempted to land on the creature's back, to distract him.

What is wrong with them?
Thunderdance actually landed quite harshly, and as her orbs where shut tightly her paws seemed to be still running, one mew coming from her mouth like an extremely frightened kit, before Scorchedleaf spoke to her, and the white-pelted warrioress was pulled to her paws immediately, her ears twitching with embarrassment as she attempted to calm her fur down by licking her chest, her claws out and almost struggling to pull into the ground, as if the odd source was going to pull her and blow her away again.
She ran over to the fox, and as the she-cat attempted to stand on her rear legs, she tried with her two front paws to slash the fox's cheeks.

The fox let out an angry roar that mixed hatred and agony together. He screamed in madness, twisting and clawing at the claws surrounding it. Fur knotted in his hooked talons, attacking the tomcat who was attacking him. The vix let out a harsh yell at the she-cats clawing him and he swung out in rage, kicking and scratching like crazy. His lips curled, fangs bared as his jaws opened to bite Thunderdance around the muzzle as she was clawing at his cheeks. Blood ran a shadowy mask and saddle atop him.

//Mudfur jumped back as she felt the fox's claws dig in her side. She snarled and dove under the vix and started to claw at the beasts belly. She could feel the blood from the scratch oozing out slowly, she knew it wasn't serious. Mudfur kicked and clawed at the fox with as much force as she could apply.
Ghostnight lay on the ground, barely hearing the fight around him. He slipped in and out of consciousness, first black then color. His ice-blue eyes closed and opened with pain.

Thunderdance yowled as the vix tried to bite her muzzle, her snowy pelted paws flailing madly as she did so, only landing on her back, her head swirling with wordless meows being uttered, leafy pools wide as she stared up at the fox.
Her almost pure colored soft underbelly lay exposed to the enemy, and she tried to recover yet her almost out of earthly state prevented her, though her paws where twitching madly, her front legs flailing as if she wished to turn over, yet couldn't muster the strength "Ghostnight... Scorchedleaf!" she seemed toe mewl like a hopeless kit for her mother or father, though in reality for her two adventure companions at the moment.

Pride.
It flowed through my veins. This was my father, a true warrior. Oh how I idolized him during my life. He was my guardian, my mentor, but most of all; my best friend. I couldnt think of a time when he hadn't been around to help me. He had saved my life numerous time, much more then I could ever hope to count. I had much to thank him for, and yet I never had. Why was that? Had I been too wrapped up in self pity that I never properly appreciated him. Scolding myself would never make up for it. Standing here wishing, was of no use. I could easy appear to him and beg my forigveness. Yet that would be so low of me, and quite unlike my personality. Yes I was the quiet and withdrawn type, but begging was not on of my finer traits.
I had joined Mother in StarClan. Oh, I saw so little of msyelf in her. Silentsong was so very wise, so calm, so friendly. What did that make me? Sullen, moody, and antisocial? Oh she said she was so proud of me, yet I failed my duties to the clan time and time again with my indifference. There were no second chances now, no time to right my wrongs. Though I regreted alot of things in life, I dont think I would have changed them. Each brought on something new, a lesson to be learned. I had never learned some, but that was my downfall.
I twitched my whiskers slightly, what a debate it was. To approach or not to approach. That was the question. I knew what I had to do. I needed to make contact with him and that was that. I pulled up from my position on the ground and stretched out slightly. Sitting for such a time could really give one a cramp. My walking seemed ever so slow to me, yet seemed to be bringing me closer much faster then I anticipated. I wanted to reach out to him, but I could not.
Father? Im so sorry I failed you.

Hearing the word he had not heard for a long time, Scochedleaf whipped his head around. 'No... It can't be...' He looked back at the fox then, deciding that they had it handled, he ran to the ghostly figure. 'You-I- Am I dreaming?' He stared at his lost daughter. The words she mewed were registered then. 'You didn't fail me. You did your duty as a warrior and died as one. I could not be more prouder of you for becoming a deputy. Your clan misses you but they do not think that you are dead. Firestar now knows. The clan will know soon. How did you die, young one?' He looked at her, remembering the good times. She had been a kit, then his apprentice. He was so proud of her on the day that she became a warrior. Then deputy. 'I am proud of you. I will see you and your mom on the day I die. Then we can truly be a family.'

Oh how scared I had been. I was never one for water in my life anyways. I must have lost my mind by the time I saw my reflection. What else would have possesed me to go after a mere reflection on the water? I wasn't sure why, and I may never know. So much self pity had driven me to the cliffs edge, and apparantly I had gone too far. I should have cleared my mind and seen to it that I had fulfilled my deputy duties properly and hadnt let my mind interfere with my sanity. One of these days I would apologize to Firestar, I really would. She deserved that in the least. I had seen no greater leader.
StarClan would welcome them both with no hesitation. I had joined StarClan just like my ancestors. I made it my personal mission to watch over my father as well as Firestar. My devotion to her was unwavering. It had never left my system and would remain for an eternity. Not once had I meant to go against her. I respected her choice, she was my elder as well as my leader. She knew what was best and one day I could only hope to be as wise as she.
Indeed, I was reunited with only half of my family. Selfish as it may seem I wanted my father. Now. But I knew he had time left here, to serve the clan well. He would lvie out his life with Thunderdance. I always envied any competition for my affectionsd, it would always be that way. But he could do no wrong with her, I knew her heart was pure. I would accept this choice just as my mother had. She merely nodded and purred slightly. I knew this bothered her little, all she wanted was his happiness. This amazed me, she still loved him so much, yet was perfectly capable of allowing another to take her place. I lowered my gaze slightly. I was ashamed of these feelings.
Oh Father! It was terrible. I was so stupid. I drowned in the water, I couldn't breathe and it burned. I only broke surface once and called for you. But the current was stronger then I. I was thrust against a rock and im sure I broke several bones. I tried so hard, I wanted to return to you. I wasn't ready to leave you, and I dont think I am, but Mother told me I had to go with her. She said she would watch over me until you joined us in the future, and that she only wants you to be happy.

Tears welled up in the tom's eyes as he stared at Sorrowfrost. The tears poured out as he pictured his daughter suffering... the last moments of her life. 'If only I had heard you. I could have saved you! How stupid of me! I knew something was wrong. Why disn't you come to speak to me?' He thought of how he was spending time with his friends. He should have paid more attention to her. It broke his heart when she told him that she called out for him. 'Oh, Sorrowfrost. You know that I would have saved you. All I ever wanted to do in my life was protect you. Ever since your mother died, I knew that I had to protect you. I was supposed to die before you, so I could be the one to protect you until your dying day! Now... now it's you, I guess.' He thought of something, then added. 'Since I can speak to you, can I speak to your mother? Is there any way?' He wanted to see her, be a family for a moment even. Even though he felt love for Thunderdance, he knew that Silentsong would always be there for him.

I blinked away the tears that threatened to spill out any second now. This was to no avail and I too cried for the would haves, should haves, and could haves. I had to be optimisitc, and strong, if only for him. I could breakdown anytime, but not while I felt responsible for assuring him it would be okay. Oh I loved him as much as a child could love their parent. He taught me all I knew, if anything he was like my god. I looked up to him above everyone else. This was natural of course, in more ways then one. Though he ahd hidden his part in my life from my until partway through my apprenticeship, I was glad he told me. I wasnt sure whether I could have lived without him by my side. No doubt I lasted as long as I did because of him.
I know you would have.
It was his name that I called out for, by instinct. It was an automatic reaction for me. In my mind, if anyone would help me, it would be him. My father had never failed to do so. Indeed, he was more of a father then many could ask for. I dont think I could have dreamt up a better father figure. I knew if he had kits with Thunderdance, that they would lack for nothing. He showered so much love on me, it could be no different for any other. These thoughts brought on a fresh wave of tears. But he wanted my mother? I merely nodded quietly, then it was she that would come. I cast my gaze to view the approaching figure.
xxx
Time had not ravaged him, he looked just as I had remembered. I couldnt help but feel a rush of passion. This was who I had given all of my heart to. Nothing would change that. Not one part of me had ever stopped loving him. It was my wish that he continue to live his life in happiness and nothing less then that. I had seen his relationship with Sorrowfrost grow, and oh how well it had grown. I knew of the faith, trust and love my daughter had for Scorchedleaf, I could easily see it in her eyes. My dear looked up to him above all else, surely he must know that?
Whether he had wanted to save her or not, it was useless. StarClan had called one of their own back before his time. There was no changing fate, thats just how it would have to be. We could reunite when his time came, but until then we would lead seperate lives. As much as it pained me to be away, I knew it was only temporary. My own death was none too appealing. I felt bad, he had lost two so close to him. I had been worried when Sorrowfrost caught greencough, and prayed it would not take her like it had myself. She proved to be stronger then I, but water was stronger then any of us, nothing could be done.
Hello my love, you did so well to raise her. I just wish i could have been there.
SILENTSONG we were meant to live for so much more but we lost ourselves
