[Hunting] -.Partner.- [Mud + Heavy]

A large cat slowly trotted into the clearing. His long pelt flowed with the wind. The ground seemed to highlight his brownish-gray fur. His paws weren't in proportion with his body, being smaller in fact, though he was quite big. But those powerful feet of dark gray and brown still made thuds as they hit the earth due to his heavy weight. His head was also small compared to his body. But it was all part of the Maine Coon's structure.

Heavysand was bored. Much had been happening in MoonClan lately, but nothing too recent. He thought for a minute and decided to hunt. But he never liked being alone while hunting, and he was a bit shy to go look for someone to ask. He'd rather somehow ease into conversation with a cat and bring it up.

Heavysand padded to the fresh-kill pile and selected himself a small mouse. He wasn't very hungry. He carried the morsel a few tail-lengths away and plopped down to eat it.

Mudfur trotted out of the warriors den feeling hungry. She felt really bored, maybe some hunting. Mudfur didnt know who to ask, her brother was on patrol. She trotted over to the fresh kill pile and took a mouse. Mudfur walked over to where Heavysand was eating and set her prey down. "Hello Heavysand, how are you doing?" Mudfur hoped that he would want to hunt with her.

Heavysand perked his ears and twisted his head when he heard the pawsteps of another warrior. Mudfur. She padded over with her fresh-kill and joined him. Perfect chance, he thought. "I'm fine," he mewed, taking a nibble from his mouth.

"Im glad to here that". Mudfur took a bite of her mouse and gulped it down. Mudfur was happy to talk to a freind.

Heavysand took a few bite of his mose, nearly finishing it. Swallowing, he mewed, "Hey, would you like to go hhunting with me today?" He knew Mudfur would be nice to hunt with. She was the first cat who ever spoke to him before he did to them other than when Firestar had him carry Jaguarstrike to his burial hole ever since he'd joined the Clan. That brought back memories of those horrible Twolegs...especially their young tomkit. He hated that kit more than any Twoleg in that den.

Mudfur was glad Heavysand asked her to go hunting with him."Sure, I would be glad to". Mudfur swallowed the rest of her meal and waited for Heavysand.

Heavysand smiled and, devouring the last of his mouse and burying the bones, padded up beside Mudfur. "Lets go," he mewed, and padded out of the camp, flicking his bushy tail for her to follow.

Mudfur trotted to Heavysands side as they left the camp. Mudfur loved the smell of the rich prey scents and the lovely bird songs. She could scent a squirrel up ahead and stalked torwds it. Mudfur pounced on top of it before it could runaway, she killed it with 1 swift blow. Mudfur scraped earth over the dead squirrel and stared at Heavysand triumphly.
