.ooc; In this post Amethyststar abandons Selenekit for MoonClan. She leaves her outside camp, but no cat knows she is Amethyststar's kit but Selenekit herself. Selenekit's dream has already been posted, so this thread needs to be kept quick.
Though the sun was moderately right, unusaul for the chilly pines and shadowed glades of MoonClan, there was a gloomy feeling in the air. The aura seemed to infect all around it, touching every creature it passed with unease. A fat young rabbit lifted its head, mouth bulging his grass stems, before darting back into its hole. A squirrel fluffed out his tail before climbing back up to his nest where his mate and young shivered. A dog growled unhappily as its twoleg alked it through the woods, its short cream fur bristling and jowls quivering in fear. The feeling was bad. StarClan was disappointed at one cat's actions. And they're regret could be felt everywhere.
The small frame of a slender, black furred warrioress cut its way through the tall pines. She ducked beneath twisted ash trees and padded through the clinging flowers of laburnum. The black she-cat was slight and petite, but there was an air of power about her. The look in her fiery amber eyes was one of determination and certainty. From her jaws dangled a small kitten. The little cat was coated in long, silky black fur, and its eyes were tight shut. It was sleeping. The she-warrior holding the kit picked her way steadily over patches of thorned bramble and pools of muddy water. She would do this, not matter what. Nothing would stand in her way.
Amethyststar padded onwards, her pace neither fast nor slow, but a dogged middle-speed. The EclipseClan leader was not trying to disguise her presence here; why should she? She had nothing to conceal. Her silver claws unsheathed as she thought of Atroxfire. She could scarcely believe she had loved him once. The black and white tom was gone. No matter what MoonClan had insisted at the last Gathering, Amethyststar was sure he had left to escape the responsibilities of fatherhood. And now she was struck with two kits she felt no emotion for. One of hem dangled from her jaws. She didn't care that her little son, Corbynkit, and the daughter that hung in her maw, Selenekit, were innocent. They had Atroxfire's blood.
MoonClan deserved to bear part of her burden. Amethyststar had reached a ptch of ground, floored with ferns and ringed with sharp brambles. She knew this was near to the MoonClan camp. She remembered. Amethytstar placed Selenekit down in the ferns, her touch not uncaring yet not gentle or loving. The black cat placed a paw upon her daughter and rolled her in the strong smelling undergrowth. As far as MoonClan would be concerned, Selenekit had been abandoned. Not by Amethyststar, but by a rogue, or loner. And she was sure Selenekit herself wouldn't tell her adopted clan who her parents were. Amethyststar turned and began to pad away. She didn't look back. She carried on walking until she was back in the safety o EclipseClan territory.
