My creamy white fur is splotched with brown, black, and orange running down my back, almost in a line. I have a few black spots on my sides, along with a scar across the back of my neck from a fight with a few rouges who tried to steal some of my Clans prey. Stupidly, though, I tried to fight the three of them on my own and landed up being a bloody mess by the time the patrol had found us. Another scar is below the first one, from the attack from the tribes, given to her by her own dead brother. The last one, a three claw mark over her right eye, was given to her by another rogue.
My ears are covered in brown splotches and I have been told time and time again by the elders I was an attractive apprentice and would be a hand full for my future mate. Thankfully, though, I have no future intention of being anyone's mate. My paws are rather large, larger then normal, but my eyes, I have been told are my finest feature, for they are a bright blue and are sharp. A can, at times, spot a mouse munching a seed under a bush, even before I smell it.
My frame is small and, some say, extremely thin, but I eat enough, and don't care much about what others think, though some say because of how thin I am, I my die giving birth if I ever settle down.

Some call me touchy, others call me bitter, and the older warriors think I'm too young to act so stern. I've also heard many make joke that when I die, I'm be going to the Tribe of Nightmares because my heart is so cold. I say go drown in the lake. Its true, I'm hard on some and can be rude at times, but if some cats would just take the time to know me, they would find that I'm not all that bad.
But I could care less as it is, I hate getting close to anyone, and my mentor told me that if I continued to act as I do I'll never get an apprentice of my own and never get the respect I deserve. I'm looked down on by the older warriors, and the elders think I'm far to ambitious for my own good.
I'm such a pain, some say, that its no wonder I didn't become a warrior until I was almost nine-ten moons old. At times of hardship, I wonder if there even is a StarClan. I've never heard anything of them, other then the prophecies that the give the Medicine cats, and sometimes the Leaders. But one day I would prove to the others I was as loyal as anyone else. I would earn respect, and maybe... one day... a friend.

Parents
Little was known about Brightclaw's parents. Her mother was a great warrior named Silvertail. Her fur was rare among the Clans. A silver pelt with white paws and barely visible white stripes. A rare thing that is always treasured.
But Silvertail fell in love with a rogue outside of the Clans and though he was handsome, he was also sly, a smooth talker. Everyone in the Clan knew she had a mate outside of the Clan but no one had ever met him. Some even believed that she was making the whole thing up because she was desperate. Then she became pregnant with the kits and everyone knew that she had a real mate. All they could find out from Silvertail was that his name was Coal.
Then one night she had the kits, two beautiful kits. One tom, one she, both tortoiseshells. The she cat was white with spots going down her back while the tom was black with dozens of splotches all over him. Silvertail was found later outside the camp. Dead. The patrol that found her claimed that the father was standing over her body with bloody claws. He had killed his own mate and then fled.
Kithood
In the mean time, the two live kits, Brightkit and Nightkit grew up with a foster mother named Hawktalon. A wiry old queen who had a few other kits. She got her name from being a hawk brown color with razor sharp claws. Hawktalon raised the two as her own and they thought of her as their mother. It all came too an end when she had gone out for a simple walk and was killed when a storm snuck up on the clan, causing a tree to fall on the she-cat.
Ever since then, Brightkit came too believe that anyone who got too close to them would die. Nightkit would merely laugh at her and tell her everything was alright and that she was a mousebrain. The two were as close as could be and loved visiting the elders for stories.
It was told the two were inseparable and looking at them as kits it was true...
Apprenticeship
But then came they're apprenticeship. Around the time the two were to become warriors, Nightpaw started sneaking out at night. Brightpaw trusted her brother but she knew he was turning a wrong corner and she couldn't stop it. He slept in late and snapped at his mentor. He was contently found in claw fights with other apprentices and soon started fighting with Brightpaw, his childhood best friend.
Soon Bightpaw found out what it was. He was seeing a she cat, a loner who lived on the edge of the SerenityClan border. Nightpaw never really understood it but Brightpaw felt like this she-cat was drawing away her brother and she hated her for it.
She fessed up to Nightpaw how she was feeling and how she thought he shouldn't be seeing this loner. But he wouldn't have it, he loving Kali and told Brightpaw he would never give her up. Not even for his own sister.
Warriorhood
Brightclaw became a lonely and bitter warrior. She was loyal to her Clan but as things feel apart with her and her Roguescar, her newly named brother, so did her jumbled thoughts. She went out one night just for a walk when she ran into her brothers mate, Kali. After that, no one really knows what happened, just that Brightclaw killed Kali. In fact only her brother knows that she killed Kali, no other cat in the Clan knew. He left the Clan to led the life of a rogue and that left Brightclaw in the dark and on her own. She had no friends left, no one could put up with her new attitude. She snapped at everyone around her and became a loner within the Clan.
She fought in the battle against the Tribe of Nightmares, that was where she saw her brother again. He was one of the dead tribe cats and he attacked her. For some reason he held back on killing her, but he slaughtered many others. Brightclaw left that fight with a new scar but the thought of her brother haunted her every step of the way.
Then she became friends with a tom named Thunderstep who seems to be able to put up with Brightclaw's bitter attitude. She didn't want to admit it at first... but she liked him. Maybe one day as a mate, but for now they were becoming best friends. Life was going up hill for the she-cat and soon everything was looking up. Her brother came to her in a dream, forgiving her for everything. He said that he was her guardian and would watch over her until the day she joined him.

Old rp example...The rain came down in sheets, but the Clan had to be fed. It was early morning and the sky had been pouring its heart out for days. It was reported that the lake was also swelling up and every cat in SerenityClan was forbidden from going even five tail lengths from the water. But regardless of the weather, the Clan had to be fed.
Brightclaw ventured out underneath the canopy of the trees, searching for prey that would venture out, driven by hunger, just as her own Clan was. Her ears pricked as she heard a slight rustling coming from underneath a bush. She couldn't tell what it was, for the rain blocked out the sounds and smells of the forest. She just prayed to StarClan that it was a mouse, of vole, and she wasn't about to jump another cat.
Suddenly, as if they really answered her prayer, a vole crawled out from under the bush, just as Brightclaw had crouched down. She crawled a bit closer, careful that she keep her weight even, though she doubted it could feel her with all the rain pounding down around them. Then with a mighty leap, she pounced on it, killing it with a swift blow from her claws.
It was plump and would feed two cats. She picked it up in her jaws and walked back toward camp, where she was eager to show off her prize, then head back out for more hunting. She continued to pray that the rain would stop soon and the next day, it did.
